On business trip, not holiday and staying nearby. Our hostess told us of this place and gave it a try. Pretty extensive menu of burgers, fish, chicken and chips. They also do a selection of pizzas too. They also do a haggis supper. I had that and my wife the fish and chips. Both were really big portions. Batter was really light and crispy. Really tasty. If we are ever in the area again we’d make a point of driving back to Maybole to come back to this shop.

I pop in on my way back from a walk for some nice chips or perhaps a fish supper depending on how hungry I am. the chips are always excellent from here, theres nothing better than getting home, opening the bags and having that lovely vinegary chip smell fill the air. washed down with some Curries Red Kola is just perfect.

No vayáis nunca.

Buena tienda de chocolate sólido con un personal agradable. Visité muchas veces y tengo que decir que el mejor de la zona. No siempre tienen caracola, que es un poco decepcionante.

Consistently good. Fresh fish in crispy batter with golden chips, nicely wrapped in paper to keep roasting hot until you get home.

This is the first review since last year of the Rabbit restaurant. Booked for a Sunday lunch. The restaurant was fairly busy in the top half but we asked to sit in the lower southern facing part of the room with superb views of the golf course & the Clyde. 3 of us chose the Roast Rump of Longhorn Beef, comprising of Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, greens & carrots together with gravy & horseradish. The food was just warm, the Yorkshires’ were in part burnt, and the roast potatoes were hard. With hindsight we should have sent it back to the kitchen, but it had taken quite a while to appear once the ordered was placed. Clearly it had been left ready for collection by the servers but probably delayed in appearing? There must be a method to keep dishes hot prior to delivery? Just why it was overcooked remains unexplained. One of us had the chicken dish which was fine, as were the desserts. The serving staff were pleasant & attentive. Overall disappointing due to lack of attention & coordination in the kitchen.

Was nearby and looking for a good late night meal. Stopped in and had some fish and chips along with a burger. Burger was unique and delicious. I’m from America, so I’m used to the patty being on the bottom, but they put it on the top of the sandwich. Was nice, keeps bottom bun from getting soggy. The fish and chips were top notch. I added some salt and vinegar and they were perfect. I’d highly recommend this place. Come out and support your local restaurant!

It's been a while since we've called but the special fish supper was fantastic, perfectly cooked and was great value for money.

Excellent prawns and scampi. Very fresh and well cooked. Good to know it's maintained quality food. Glad we returned and will come back!
