Sorry we won’t be back. The girl serving was not pleasant, hair on plate, we asked for an orange juice for my daughter only for be given a fizzy drink, my children do not like fizzy juice rudely was questioned by the girl serving why my child doesn’t drink fizzy juice. It wasn’t what we ordered. This isn’t the first time the service hasn’t been great.

Amazing food, dead quick service and the lassies are always happy to see you. Very nice atmosphere, genuinely one of my favourite lunch and breakfast spots

Big shout out to Abby and Nikki for their excellent service this morning. They immediately picked up on a minor error and sorted it out; no doubt due to some very recent changes, so it's fair to have a few teething issues. However, I am still always very impressed on how this team run around on their feet; always giving service with a smile. By the end of our meal two other ladies were also assisting us. We simply had to give the Manager compliments on her team. Well done ladies for your excellent service, so I am looking forward to returning when I am next out that way.

When visiting Rogersons Shoes last year I discovered Primavera and since then I have had lunch multiple times with friends and family. The Menu offers me lots of choice of the type of food that I love, the portions are large and the quality is great. The selection of cakes and pastries would be difficult to beat. As well as great food the staff are super friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

One of favorite hangouts. Mainly as the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Food is nice. Service can be a tad slow at times but I would suggest folk to indicate to the staff earlier on if you are in a rush.

A stop today for a cake and juice during shopping, staff are wonderful, welcomed immediately and shown to a table, drinks order taken and as we knew exactly what was required we ordered hot apple pie with ice cream, it’s utterly the best around, service was excellent and we were asked during our visit if everything was ok. Can’t fault it. Well recommended, lunch is also good and served daily

There are things about Primavera that I like, for one, the staff are always very friendly. However, the service is normally very slow and the prices are phenomenal. Take the goat's cheese crostini – near enough £9 for a piece of bread with two bits of goat's cheese and caramelised onions with a very skimpy, if not downright cheeky, portion of salad on the side. The quality of the produce also doesn't justify the price. It doesn't seem to be worth visiting if you consider that you're being charged restaurant prices to sit in the middle of a freezing cold shopping mall and not getting your money's worth into the bargain.

Walked into cafe to be greeted by screaming children. I understand this is no fault of the staff but is still not a good look on the business. Staff looked miserable and exhausted and I waited a long time to be seated. The strawberry tart was delectable and the waitress that served me was very polite. Did not catch her name as she got told to “go for an apple” but she was very young with black hair. 🍎

This is a busy cafe/restaurant in the Avenue shopping centre in Newton Mearns. Staff are lovely and service is quick and efficient. Coffee, cakes and lunch items are all good. Only downside is the terrible rattan seats which harbour dust and need a really good clean . Takes my review score from a 5 to a 3 so please give this some attention.

Not worth £28 for a half toasted crostini covered in rocket,watered down Marie Rose sauce,jacket potato was sprouting,it was so old,tiny,cheese in a little dish ,didn't even melt on cold potato,2 lattes had a look at the coffee and cake was the only decent thing since it was bought in,they must get rocket at a good price,it was everywhere,even as a side salad,which was all wilted,1 slice of cucumber,1 piece of tomato,and the onion sliced so thinly it disappeared on the plate,1 tiny bit of brown dressing? Definable won't be back.

Always enjoy the food and service

Not impressed. Presented with an (unasked for) bill even before I had finished my coffee. Bill turned out not to be mine. And was for double the amount! 3 separate waitresses involved and not one apologised. So Unprofessional of them and indeed bad mannered. A smile and a sorry would have helped; that was obviously beneath their dignity!

Thanks so much to all the team at Primavera for making my dad feel so special on his 90th birthday- it was a lovely surprise for us all -you are all amazing!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Good food good service popular venue

Primavera is our go to place for lunch and has been for years, staff are great and service pretty good however over the last wee while the quality and quantity of the food has dropped and yesterday was the final straw. Prawn sandwich with hardly any prawns and ciabattia with rocket and ham was miserable in the filling. We didn't say anything to the staff on this occasion but have previously when served a meagre portion of mackerel terrine and hot a bit of a short shrift. Not going back for a while which is a real pity

Been using this cafe for 20 years. Excellent coffee and breakfast rolls to take away. Cake and pastries are top notch!

Was in today for lunch 6.75 for a small Prawn Marie rose sandwich and 10.25 for Ham mustard Mayo sandwich and fries and the crowning glory 3.95 for a Strawberry Tart service was excellent. We are regulars here but not any more as as the portions seem to have dwindled somewhat as well.

Staff are friendly but They don't seem to know the difference between a flat white, a Latte or a cuppocino. No matter what u ask for they will give you one size and one type. If you want a half decent coffee go to Costa next door and get the proper stuff. Today I asked for a flat white for take away and this gave me this extra large cup without a lid and it was full of watery taste looked and tasted so tacky. I put it straight in the bin

Pleasant airy and spacious cafe in main mall of shopping centre. We visit every week. Good coffee and eats served promptly. Wait staff are all friendly and helpful. We especially love Ashley.

Visited today 2 nd July food was excellent and quick delivery and the staff service was friendly and extremely efficient will definitely visit again on my next trip to Scotland

Table of 4. Ordered some food and drinks. Asked a young waitress explicitly for a pot of tea to share between my parents as it was quite a large pot and it would have been enough for 2 people, plus they didn't want too much caffeine. A different, older, white-haired waitress came back with 2 pots and told us they must have a pot of tea each. We informed her we only ordered one and and 2 would be too much, but she then pressured us to take it anyway even though the previous waitress who took our order said it was fine. What kind of service is this, pressuring elderly to buy more than they could eat/drink/afford? Ended up paying for a pot of tea we didn't even touch.

Really good coffee here. They do iced coffee even though it's not on the menu, which is great! Reasonably priced and Friendly staff too.

Staff are excellent and very friendly but don't intrude. Selection of goodies is super. My pal and I go at least once a week.

They don't have any plant based milk available which I consider unacceptable when there is a Marks & Spencers a stones throw away. As I couldn't order a coffee, I chose a smoothie which the waiter mentioned was pre-made and from a packet. I feel that for £3.50 I would have expected a freshly made smoothie.

I ordered egg mayonnaise with cheddar cheese on white bread. My wife ordered prawn marie rose also on white bread and a pot of tea. Although the service was quick and the location is good, I cannot say the food was good. The freshness of the bread was questionable, no butter on the bread (we weren't offered it as an option) the prawns were tiny (I'd call them shrimps). The accompanying salad, two slices of cucumber ,a leaf of limp lettuce , was in inedible. No matter how long the tea bag, made from plant based material, was in the teapot it barely infused. Needless to say we didn't finish the lunch, paid the £17.35 bill and left. We won't be back.

Nice patio type seating area in the Newton Mearns shopping centre gives this experience a great feel to eating out. Decided to have breakfast here and not only was the food excellent, but the service first class. Friendly, efficient and very quick from the meeter/greeter to ordering and service. I had a (Scottish) roll with Lorne sausage - sheer heaven after so long living in England whereas my wife had toast and jam. It was noticeable that whenever someone let their table, it was cleared and sanitized within seconds - great example of how to tackle Covid. Certainly a place I would be delighted to return to.

Only one item on menu suitable for vegans (houmous ciabatta) and when I asked for sunflower/veg oil spread instead of butter they didn't have any. Didn't even have any non dairy milk replacements like oat or almond milk for coffee, which I can't believe in 2021..... Ciabatta had houmous, some jarred roast peppers and a few rocket leaves in it. Dry and totally uninteresting. Won't be back.

Missing my weekly trip here for coffee and cake. Staff ever so friendly and the cakes are to die for. My waist line doesn’t quite miss them right enough

We go here often now for coffees and lunches - staff are pleasant and service good - they clean the tables as well as the glass screens as soon as table is vacated - food is delicious - Liz heads up a lovely cafe!

Staff are very welcoming, very clean tables and seating area and a very good menu and food was very tasty and served up by very pleasant staff. Will be back in future.

Love there empire biscuits, so sweet. Serves is great everybody is so kind and my only problem was I couldn't talk to the people more. So that's my review would 100% go back.

Popped in after 5 months sheilding, to enjoy their lovely salad. Sadly i was VERY disappointed. The salad was half the size and sparse ingredients made it tasteless. It was only afterwards i realised that it must have been becsuse they were only charging half price. I would rather pay normal price and get the nicer experience. It was bland and uninteresting. The service was slow even though there were not many diners

Dined at the restaurant again today Was with my elderly mother and daughter. The food was excellent and my mum felt safe and secure in our own little booth protected by a screen. Highly recommended.

mi 1 visita a la calle, una vez que nos entregaron nuestro menú, nos preguntaron 4 veces, a las 4 ya habíamos terminado de mirar a través de la 1 página de la calle por 2 mujeres de cabello oscuro, si estábamos listos 2 orden. ¡Estamos listos para 2 caminar! pero luego una mesera con cabello oscuro con canas, vino 2 a nuestra mesa, Ella fue increíble, 10/10. Nos detuvimos en Primavera, que se encuentra en el centro del brillante centro comercial, para tomar una copa relajada. Hay un extenso menú, pero solo queríamos una bebida caliente para calentarnos en una tarde fría. El personal es muy amable y acogedor, y el servicio fue muy bueno. Optamos por 2 chocolates calientes deliciosamente cremosos, muy cálidos y cubiertos de crema y estamos contentos de haberlo hecho. Eran simplemente el tónico y volveremos otro día para comer algo. El café es completamente accesible para todos.

Mientras nos reuníamos con mi amigo, decidimos visitar 'Primavera'. Habíamos visitado hace algún tiempo y, habiendo viajado durante muchas horas, esperaba una bebida fresca y una ensalada. Esto es lo que habíamos tenido previamente y habíamos disfrutado de la experiencia. La camarera era agradable y hablador y nos recibieron. Pasaba más tiempo con mi amiga, posiblemente porque parecía un millón de dólares y yo me parecía a un tipo que se encontraba en una obra en construcción, lo cual está más cerca de la verdad que de lo que es posible admitir. La camarera tomó nuestra orden y esperamos. Después de unos diez minutos nos sirvieron el almuerzo. Ahora he comido ensaladas en mi tiempo y la última en 'Primavera' estuvo bien, pero lo que apareció ante nosotros no tuvo comparación. La lechuga estaba menos que fresca, cansada y parecía que había estado en el turno de la noche en una casa de calderas. El jamón que tenía en mi ensalada era del tipo que se obtiene en una tienda de conveniencia de la esquina y se corta como virutas. Creo que tenía salmón en mi ensalada, pero lo que estaba sentado en mi plato se ahogó en una papilla de mayonesa, sin sabor y no apta para el propósito. Por cierto, toda la presentación fue insípida y terriblemente decepcionante. Mi amigo tenía un vaso de 'coca cola'? . Lo que llegó fue un vaso muy pequeño de lo que sabía a un líquido de limpieza químico, se filtró a través de un calcetín sudoroso y se remató con lejía. Ciertamente no era Coca Cola. Mi cerveza estaba bien y fría gracias a Dios. Iba a quejarme especialmente en nombre de mi amigo, pero después de viajar la mayor parte del día, haciendo compras y poniéndome al día, decidí pasar mi tiempo sin problemas y concentrarme en nuestro tiempo premium.Aunque la experiencia y la decepción serán recordadas, quise transmitir este mensaje a la Administración de la 'Primavera' en Newton Mearns.Por favor, no utilice su establecimiento 'Primavera Bistro' pretenciosamente. Friendly staff, but starting to get a little pricey for a Coffee and scone.

Service at the cafe was terrible. Made the mistake of coming here with my husband and daughter for a quick breakfast when we were in the area. We waited for 20 minutes for my daughter’s meal then had to ask for the coffee which they had failed to serve. The incompetence of the waitress was only matched by her rudeness when we asked for the bill. She snapped at my husband saying she was serving another customer. In actual fact she was having a conversation with the gentleman whom she appeared to know. Then I heard her say to him “ she is growling at me” obviously referring to me! I’m not in the habit of “ growling “ unlike the waitress, I imagine. In short if your in the area and looking for a quick bite to eat my advice would be to go home and avoid this place at all costs.

Paramos a tomar un café a media mañana. Lorna y su personal son brillantes. Muy agradable y mi café era genial. Parece que tienen muchos clientes habituales y saben exactamente lo que están buscando. Muy atentos a sus clientes mayores. Lo recomendaría para tomar un café o incluso algo de comida, ya que todos los que pasaban por mí en los platos se veían deliciosos.

Primavera se encuentra en el atrio en el centro comercial. Es encantador para el café y la torta o el almuerzo y es un gran lugar para ponerse al día con amigos y familiares, ya que es muy relajado. Sin embargo, puede estar muy ocupado y es posible que tenga que esperar por una mesa. La comida siempre está bien presentada y los panecillos calientes son calientes (no tibios). Portion sizes need to be doubled for the price they are charging - it's more like tapas sized portions. Food was tasty and staff were friendly and efficient.

Para ser completamente justos, hemos visitado este establecimiento muchas veces desde mi anterior crítica en 2015, cuando honestamente le di una excelente crítica para este restaurante, y en particular, el sabroso sabor lleno de sopa gruesa de minestrone.

Estábamos en la avenida en Newton Mearns hoy y paramos en primavera para almorzar. Todo el personal es amable y encantador. Nuestro camarero era muy encantador Ashleigh, que nos enseñó a nuestra mesa y nos dio tiempo suficiente para examinar el menú variado. Yo opté por la ensalada de pollo que era tan delicioso y mi marido tenía todo el día las obras el desayuno, que era muy bien presentado y sabroso igual.

Mi amigo y me encuentro aquí con regularidad y no me puedo quejar del servicio que reciben. Nada es demasiado problema y, Cheryl, Liz y las chicas son siempre tan contento. La comida es deliciosa y abundante. Agradable para una taza de café y un almuerzo o un encantador.

Mi madre de 91 años y sus 80 años normalmente algo pal deleite en el maravilloso servicio que reciben en el Primavera en sus dos semanas juntos para conseguir un capuchino y un rollo compartido bacon. El chef se negaba a mitad de sus rodillos con un cuchillo agudo en la cocina y una camarera llamada Cheryl, quien no podría importarle menos, me dejaron con mi sangre en ebullición en su tratamiento. Fueron compartiendo un rollo de tocino porque todo un uno es demasiado para ellos, y que sería muy difícil cortar con los cuchillos que proporciona. Sé que el dueño, que es normalmente en los locales se han corregido la situación sin un drama subsiguiente. Mi consejo es verificar con su camarera que pedir un poco de ayuda extra no le molesta. Yo la mitad del rollo, pero perdimos en recibir el ketchup ya que era demasiado lento, o eso es lo que me dieron a entender por "bien había estado allí por mucho tiempo". Mi calificación de deficiente puramente refleja la inmediata atención recibida, la comida era buena y los capuchinos excelente.

I'll start this by putting the cost upfront. Our lunch comprised of a burger, a pasta dish, a honey roast ham sandwich, a bowl of soup, a small slice of iced gingerbread, a slice of caramel apple granny, two coffees and two soft drinks. £51. Now, you might not think that was a lot of money, but we came away with the perception that it wasn't great value. On the plus side, the waiting staff are very friendly & efficient. And the ambience is as good as it can be when you're sat in the middle of a shopping centre. For the prices charged, it's not unreasonable to expect more high-end ingredients. For example, the pasta dish at £9.50 which was chicken & mushroom in a creamy tomato sauce had very little chicken content for the price paid. The honey roast ham sandwich at £6.50 came in standard whole meal bread - sliced bloomer bread would have been more consistent with the price. There was zero wow factor. But hey, this is Newton Mearns, and a price premium should be expected. Just felt a bit disappointing.

Hoy tuve el sandwich de carne abierta. Uso de salsa era increíble. Me gusta muy especiado y. Muy bien presentada y una buena porción de myslef. Mi amigo tenía la salchicha y puré y dijo que estaba delicioso. el personal es siempre muy educado y amable. Un poco más caro de lo que espera de un sitio tipo de café, pero aún así disfruté mucho

He estado utilizando este café durante muchos años y siempre me han tratado con respeto y humor por las camareras. El café es muy bueno y cualquier comida que he tenido ha sido bien preparado y delicioso

Not an outstanding location as you are basically enclosed in a large area where other shoppers walk about, so it is rather noisy, not a great place for a relaxed chat. On a sunny day it can get quite warm due to the glass roof overhead. It was quite busy the day I was there, no idea why as it is rather over priced and lacks ambiance of any kind. The soup and rather limited amount of bread was massively overpriced in relation to both quantity and quality. The red wine was really nothing special at £4.50 a large glass. In fact the only thing memorable about the wine was the price. I had a reasonable cup of coffee, after paying for an extra shot, as I had learned from a previous visit that without the extra shot one would be drinking something very near to hot milk. But of course this makes for a rather expensive coffee. The staff are of varied temperament and some seem under pressure, which tends to make them seem rather short with the customers but most try to be pleasant. There was a small queue waiting on tables and I think it is popular with the older shoppers because it is handy and maybe some like the name or meet friends while shopping. I certainly wouldn't go there unless I happened to be shopping at the surrounding shops and even then it would be questionable.

Love visiting this place when I'm visiting family in Newton Mearns. Lovely food and great staff. What more could you want :-)
