La Vita Piccolino in East Renfrewshire

A family group of 10 of us all really enjoyed our wonderful meal at this beautiful restaurant. We had two ladies in wheelchairs and the charming staff did everything possible to make them comfortable. The decor is stunning and we all loved our food. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return again.

Fantastic food…just pizza this time….best this side of Italy…..if you haven’t tried them you are really missing out, do your taste buds a favour and place an order!!!

Pizza topping had slid off pizza and was all over the box and when handed the pizza the topping was oozing out the ventilation holes at the side. It was a mess.

Had a lovely lunch here, catching up with an old friend. Service was attentive and food was great, I would highly recommend.

So disappointed. There was an actual fight amongst two youths at the table behind the one we were sitting at. Not one waiter apologised for the disturbance. Most surprised in the way which the management handled the situation. Extremely disturbing.

My Family and myself had a lovely meal last night to celebrate my daughters birthday they made it extra special by bringing out a cake with cream and strawberry sauce, lovely biscuits and sparklers on top and got everyone to sing Happy Birthday to her. we all had plenty of excellant food and the atmosphere and the Staff were helpful and cheery and really nice. First class service I Would highly recommend going we will definately be back.

Love this place & visit often. Best lunch deal around the area. Lots of choices, some with supplements & some not. You can choose from a one to a three course. Service is efficient & friendly. Food is fresh & hot & great quality. The portion size is decent too. Will be back

First time visiting here, went for lunch in early afternoon. Ordered from the fixed price Lunch/Early Evening Menu, which for a fixed menu had a great choice. We had a combination of 3 courses between us and everything was absolutely delicious. Again, for a fixed price menu the portions were very generous. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely be back...

not sure how an Italian can get a Margherita pizza so wrong. Cheese was rotten. Not sure it they'd ran out of mozzarella and just chucked some random cheese on. Binned.

Massive selection of authentic Italian with the occasional Scottish Twist (Haggis Tower starter was excellent). Great staff who made us feel really welcome. And it may have been late October but the Christmas decs were spectacular!

Went on Monday evening for a family meal about 8 adults and 3 kids. Table was booked so on arrival we felt very welcome and shown to table all staff are helpful and very pleasant. Attached some pictures of starters and main meals everyone enjoyed their meals and portions very large left feeling relaxed and full for the next day. Price a la carte menu is reasonable for the surroundings and service , surcharges is added to final bill think its 10% Staff made our night asking if everything was ok and could they help in any way will most likely be returning very soon Would phone to book a table as you would struggle weekend unless booked in advance as mid week is very busy. would question Stornoway black pudding was not a tasty as black pudding I've had on outer Hebrides & fish was very crispy but fish its self was nice

I visited on Friday night the 27th September with friends. The service was good and the choice of food was excellent There 6 of us and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I had the chicken limonene which was very good although the vegetables were a little salty. The overall experience was very good and I will go back again.

I frequent this place a lot but there's never a special and the menu hasn't changed for years

Higher Prices, smaller portions - I generally rate La Vita highly but this time I need to mark it down as I feel the pinch of shrinkflation, prices have gone up whilst portions (e.g. pasta) have become smaller. I also have to mention the dessert we got, it was the toffee popcorn sundae. Now my wife does not like complaining but as a trusted customer I must. In the past I have enjoyed this dessert but not the last two times. This most recent time, the dessert was 80% whipped cream and 20% ice cream, should be the other way around. If I wanted a mouthful of whipped cream I would just go to Asda and buy a can of sprayable cream and eat that. But I don't expect that in a restaurant charging almost £10 for the dessert. I don't know if its a money saving idea to give the customer less ice cream. The mains was still decent enough.

The food here is always great. No faults whatsoever and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. We were here for my daughter’s 2nd birthday and my only complaint is with the service. My husband ordered water for the table which we had to ask again for several times before it appeared. When he asked for extra pepperoni on his pizza at the time of ordering the waiter actually sighed, visibly rolled his eyes and said ok! I was met with similar eye rolling when I asked for the blinds to be pulled down as the sun was directly in my eyes and my 2 daughters. All in all this is a bit disappointing as we elgebuibely love the food here, but it has put me off returning as I felt we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers.

I'm lucky enough to stay local to this absolute gem of an eatery. Food is second to none. Authentic and delicious. Service fabulous and such a comfortable relaxing vibe makes this my go to every time.

Varied menu, tasty food, great service. I've been here many times and love the food. But yesterday I asked for a decaf coffee, unfortunately a normal one was delivered even though I checked and as usual, the caffeine made me ill. I normally always check (visually) but didn't this time, I will in future.

Food is lovely but was let down by the service. Most of the staff were lovely but unfortunately the man serving us was quite irritable and threw his hands up and walked away when we asked for 2 minutes to have a look at the menu before ordering our drinks. The atmosphere is generally quite noisy and busy.

This resteraunt is close to me and I've never been in, so tonight I invited some friends and we went for it. On arrival it took a good few minutes to be aknowledged by a staff member, and the ambience in the room was loud but it was very busy. Staff had difficulty hearing orders over the noise of the room, but the food was delicious. The food is very good, and I would likely go back again.

We went as a large group for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary and we all really enjoyed our evening. For the number of people at our table and considering how busy the restaurant was, the service was quick and staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and so filling that only a few of us could manage a dessert. The occasion cakes (we ordered 2 via the website) were brought to our table after our main courses with sparkler/candles and staff went above and beyond the whole evening.

A great evening, excellent food, and very friendly staff. No problem at all with online booking or when we called to adjust our party size from 6 to 4 due to call offs.

Ordered a takeaway collection last night as I do most weeks . Opened the pizza box and was stunned that it could ever have been acceptable to hand it over to a customer. The pizza was at least 24 hours old , stale and stuck to the box. Was so shocked I put it straight in the bin. Couldn’t be bothered calling and waiting for another delivery. Really poor quality control measures. A simple glance would have told staff the pizza was inedible. Really disappointed.

Excellent service and very good food at reasonable prices.

The pasta with the prawns was lovely but it was supposed to have scallops in it, it had one very bashed scallop at the bottom. For £16.95 I was very disappointed with the lack of scallops

Service was pretty average tbh Had to ask for extra drinks , twice. Wrong item delivered at one point and service could have been more faster on plate clearance

We have been to the restaurant a number of times now and although the food is generally great it is let down by an incredibly rude, grumpy and offhand older waiter. He takes orders without looking at you, slams or removes food & glasses aggressively and generally makes you feel really unwelcome. As we have been served by him every single time we have been it has really marred the experience and we decided last night we won’t be going back again sadly.

First time here and was so surprised was excellent and fantastic value for money will definitely be back had the day time menu of 3 courses although we did share the dessert lol drinks a little over priced but it’s a nice day out so why not.

The lasagne was cold and chewy and the mozzarella fritta had clearly been reheated and was rubbery. Jusf awful

La Vita Newton Mearns is definitely worth a visit, the food is faultless and the staff are very friendly and helpful - we’ll definitely be back, again!

The risotto was overloaded with veg, was not enjoyable. We initially thought we had ordered the wrong risotto to what we usually order as it was not like any other risotto’s we’ve had in the past. The arribiatta was full of tomato skins, which is different to the usual blended sauce. Again not as enjoyable as usual.

pizzas - great, tiramisu - disgusting. Worst ever tried - avoid at any cost.

I'm adding an edit because of my last two visits, while excellent food wise, illustrated a common issue these days with many food outlets. Owners and Managers must remember there will usually be a designated driver who should not have to miss out because there is a lack of non-alcoholic drinks available. Some of us don't drink period. Contrary to what I said earlier they had Peroni Libre as usual but no red/white wine. Neither for that matter do they ever have booze free Gin. There is no excuse for this. They charge the same. I'm so annoyed that I've said "nothing for me, I'm not going" and that would be a pity. One Peroni and a glass of Tonic Water from a small can. Maybe they will let me take in my own? The galling thing is someone could have nipped into the off licence and got a bottle for a fiver. My sister thought that maybe there is too much waste but one big glass and the bottle would be paid for. Come on Marco, you were not there at the last Bank Holiday. Just as well as you'd have taken scalps. Table of six, three courses. I felt like a wean again. Lovely Gins in the Orchard Park and when the heck will more restaurants sell Guiness Zero. So far, only available in the Golf Club. I hope you see this. One star coming off! ORIGINAL POST: Top notch. I went Pescatarian this time around and everything was fresh and delicious. Regardless of the menu, you can ask for whatever you fancy and the boss man owner will make sure you get it. Full portion too much? Easy, ask for a half portion. Wine selection etc is excellent and whilst I want a glass and an aperitif and a liqueur, I tend to drive so am happy with the non alcoholic Peroni and red wine. Even the tablet with the large cup of coffee is great and the boss man usually slips in extra. He oversees a number of La Vitas but always appears and has a chat. It's not expensive for what you get. It is noisy but which Italian is not? Dine in is excellent. Take away is the same food (tip: order and collect yourself) and superb value. Delivery is available but personally have not tried it. There is a car park behind the shops. Parking at the restaurant may be restricted. But not far to walk. Space is a little restricted but the Staff will move tables when possible. Disabled toilet.

A very busy Thursday evening at the restaurant, a good sign. The service was excellent and there was no pressure to order quickly or a return time for the table. The food was very good and only comment would be that the portions were on the large side. Prices were ok and pretty standard for Italian restaurants but quality definitely a plus

Possibly one of the best venue for pizza in the city. This has a wonderful Italian history of excellence, well done, Hard working and friendly staff too.

I’m a frequent visitor to this establishment, I have always been happy with the quality of service, but on this occasion, I was bitterly disappointed by the lack of interest from staff. We sat for ages when we finished our main course , then 2 different staff who looked the more senior of team cleared our plates , no chat of dessert menu’s etc from either, then sat a further 15 minutes to get their attention for bill as we didn’t have any more time to spare for dessert as I was going to a show. When the bill was presented, I asked for the card machine instantly but gentleman just walked off. After another 5 minutes, we just got up and went to bar to pay. We have spent many many meals at this establishment over the years and the service has been fine. But I feel it will be a while before I return unfortunately. As always the chef cooked a lovely meal, cannot fault it. It appeared that there were at least 4 senior looking staff around and two new faces that obviously were maybe still learning.

Lovely Italian food. I would have like to have practiced my Italian more. Will just need to go back.

Excellent, so glad we finally found a great Italian for pizza

This was our second visit to La vita piccolino, however the experience was not the same as the first time 3 years ago. In fact the experience was awful. There was no welcome at the door. We were given A La carte menus and then the waiter disappeared for 15 mins. When we enquired about a set menu, the waiter reluctantly brought them then rushed off again. At this point we are still waiting for a drink order to be taken. When we asked for a jug of water as well as drinks, it was thrown onto the table by a scowling waiter. The set menu did not whet our appetites at all, so all 5 of us ordered from A La Carte. Prices were very expensive ie £18.95 for Ravioli. Focaccia £11.95. The food was very average . Two of our group had Penne pasta mixed in the spaghetti. Gives impression everything not running well in the kitchen. But the whole experience was a disappointment after having enjoyed it 3 years previously. One waiter looked liked he’d just put the rubbish out, as his trousers were filthy. The other two were fighting with each other and at no point did any of them converse with us. When we gave some feedback on one dish, the waiter replied saying “ yeh I was going to tell you not to order that, maybe avoid that next time” No one actually asked us if everything was ok or if we needed anything else. In general, there was no warmth or atmosphere and all agreed we would not return. We did not feel like we were valued as customers in any way.

I'd say this is the best Italian Restaurant in this area. Extensive menu and food is always good. Only downside is that it can be fairly noisy. Reasonably priced.

Did not deliver food - called and the guy was no help, they delivered it to the wrong house and no one answered so they didn’t even bother to call me - terrible service, AVOID

I liked my pasta, my partner didn't like her pizza in fact she left half of it, but I think if she chose another pizza she would have liked it. The mozzarella starter was not great, more breadcrumb rather than mozzarella. The guy on the entrance that handed me my order couldn't have been nicer. I would definitely go back and try something else I liked the vibe of the place.

Food was lovely here. We were late we called ahead to notify them and it was no problem at all.

The delivery driver came to my door accusing me of not paying when I had payed my order, so I phoned the restaurant for them to say it was their mistake, in all this heat of the moment stuff my food was lying there freezing cold when they had told me I had actually paid. Awful customer service, will never be eating here again

I absolutely love this restaurant. Every time I have been (I think 4) it has been amazing. Food is delicious, staff are lovely, quick service and wide variety menu. Not to mention the decor and atmosphere. I highly recommend the selection of pizzas and Sanpelligreno. One of the best restaurant I have ever been to. Well done guys. 👏

Family get together (12 of us). Service was excellent and all food was delicious. I had seafood risotto which was really tasty. Great night out.

Food was well packed no likeages. Only note is that I was surprised to see soup delivered in a standard flat tab. Food was hot and tasty. I was pretty impressed with my salted beef.

I came in to order a pizza. I was pointed to where to go without looking me in the eyes or speaking to me. The rudest old man I have ever encountered in a restaurant. Clearly thinks he is better than customers. So after that charade I did order a 12” pizza to takeaway. The pizza was terrible. It was overloaded with toppings and therefore had a wet soggy base. It was not cooked properly. I would love to teach this place how to actually make pizza but I get the impression they could be too arrogant to listen.

Little disappointed with the Halloumi starter as it had gone soggy and a little cold, but that can’t be helped in transport. Everything else was absolutely delicious! Thank you very much! Looking forward to our next visit.

I don’t know how they think it’s acceptable to deliver such inedible veal. I wouldn’t even think there would be an animal alive that could stomach such veal unless it was starving to death.If you value food that can be eaten then you should really avoid. The spaghetti was at least edible, but not tasty. Overall quite shocked how the standards of this once upon a time nice restaurant has crashed. Please somebody have a word with the chef before somebody is poisoned by such ‘food’!

Seafood on pizza was off and smelled terrible. The rest of the meal was good but serving off seafood is unacceptable.

Found what looked like a steal bristle in my food. Just glad I seen it before I tried any. Chucked the full lot away no idea what this was or how it ended up in my food but it looked sharp so glad I didn't digest it or my children. Absolutely disgusted

Tremendous food and different but very very good lemonade. The pepperoni on the pepperoni pizza is spicy but we liked it that way. Also a very wide range of Italian food etc. (Penne, pasta and pizza.) The restaurant is very busy (a little) cold but other wise the restaurant atmosphere is good. The staff are very friendly, there are a range of staff coming from different countries so easy to communicate to if you speak another language. This restaurant is highly recommended. Well deserved 5 star 👍👍👍
