A brilliant Friday night out with friends in a local restaurant with real buzz. Not surprising, as the food was absolutely first class from start to finish. The new menu opens up a lot of options from sharing plates, a selection of small plate options in more starter style, to classic main dishes. Relaxed, fun and fantastic quality!

Called in here for some early dinner on Sunday with my wife. The welcome was fine ... we were the only customers at first but soon joined by another table of 3. Ordered our food - a pizza, pasta, salad and mayo. All to come at the same time. We were served the pizza and pasta.... after a while we realised the salad wasn't coming so asked if we could have it and the mayo.... we finished eating and then the salad arrived (finally!), still no sign of the mayo (we sent the salad back). I could be wrong but if the owner/manager spent less time with a glass of wine in his hand chatting to folk and more time managing, then the experience for guests might be better - just a thought! Food was average for an Italian restaurant.

The food was amazing and the staff were really welcoming. Loved hearing about all the community projects the manager is involved in.

Dissatisfied. The arrancini came with pieces of lettuce. Literally. No dressing or seasoning. And the spicy tomate sauce was overpowered by chilli. The carbonara spaghetti wasn't cooked in salted water and had no flavour. On top of that, the carbonara sauce was non existent ...dry and no flavour. Dish was saved by the pancetta. The fruit de mer spaghetti was good tho. Overall, nowhere near 4.7 stars.

We had a family meal there on a dank Thursday night but the welcome from Imogen and Lucy brightened up the evening. They looked after us very well and are a credit to Michaelangelo's. Our chef popped out from the kitchen and introduced herself and checked that our food was to our liking. We'll definitely be back.

Great little local Italian. Food is superb. The shape of the restaurant detracts from the atmosphere a bit but not much can be done about that.

This is the most friendly and welcoming restaurant. Mark and his team go out of their way to make every visit special. The food is fabulous, with specials added to their regular menu daily. The food is always top quality. Entertainment is now added on specific nights.

Great food and a warm welcome from Mark and his team awaits. Been several times, be it as a family, for ‘date nights’ with the good lady, or with a large group of colleagues for a night out. If you are nearby, take the chance. You won’t be disappointed! Top tip, thumb your nose at the diet for an evening and order the Stracetti as a side. Maybe get an Espresso Martini to reward yourself too.

Very quiet on a Saturday night but perhaps because of this the staff were absolutely on their A game. Food was very good, we tried the simplest things on the menu and they were spot on. The tiny frontage make it hard to spot and easy to mistake for a takeaway but inside is an authentic Italian family restaurant. No pretense or airs and graces. Will be back to try the richer end of the menu next time.

Was here for my girlfriends grans 90th. It was a fantastic meal accompanied by class service. Staff were super friendly and patient to put up with a group of 9. Recommend if in the clarkston area

Ate here on Saturday evening, service was excellent from start to finish. The food was some of the best we’ve had outside Italy, with scallops special to start then two different pastas and a first class focaccia. Wine list great and reasonable too. We will definitely be back.

This is a local favourite restaurant. Just two of us on a Thursday evening. We both had Crostini Pomodoro for starters and then a fillet steak and a Pollo Milanese for mains, and a bottle of house red (merlot). All food was cooked to perfection. Service was great from the two waitresses on duty. We will be back.

Just home from special dinner with my family. Mark the owner took time to explain the menu personally and made us feel like VIP guests. We had two small children aged 3 and 6 with us and were concerned about their requirement. Mark listened to them and they were catered for with exceptional food and service which added to our experience. The food was exceptional. Scallops were cooked to order and were the most delicious I have eaten in ages. Service was wonderful without being overbearing. Will be back soon. Margaret

Can’t recommend Michaelangelos catering highly enough. We had a superb lunch delivered today for a meeting we were hosting at our Murgitroyd headquarters in Glasgow. Various dietary requirements were taken into account: gluten free, no wheat, no dairy. All cooked to perfection and served with a smile by Mark himself. Huge thank you to all the staff at Michaelangelos who made this happen, especially when it is normally their day off! Irene

It's fantastic for Clarkston that he has managed to not only survive the difficulties of Covid but come back with the same fabulous standards of food and atmosphere. Myself Daughter niece and their two boys age 8yrs Had the most delicious meal today .Saturday lunchtime..23/4/22 Particularly the beef stroganoff.cooked to perfection!! Everyone enjoyed the food ..made fresh and I could have eaten everything that other’s had . The staff are most obliging and professional. The owner made us all very welcome . We all said that this was the best meal we have had in a restaurant for a long while . I think this place is now voted .by us !! to be our favourite restaurant in the south side of Glasgow .

We chose an afternoon time slot and had the best time! The lunch menu is excellent and the specials are fantastic. The sirloin steak with the pepper sauce was juicy and just right. My Mac & Cheese with pancetta was yummy. TMark & the team made us so welcome and it was lovely to see the young ladies at another table celebrating with a bottle of Dom Perignon. Great atmosphere as usual, can't wait to go back, next time we'll go for dinner!

Been coming to Michealangleo’s for years now, and not once have I been disappointed with the food or staff. The food is always perfect portion sizes & always full of flavour. The staff are equally as excellent, always happy to help and friendly. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Had a most enjoyable meal on Sunday 12th December 2021. The ambience was excellent, as was the food and service. Enjoyed a bit of banter with Marc, the owner. I will definitely be back.

A meal can always go wrong. The meat can be a little over cooked, the sauce lacking in seasoning. The biggest no-no for a restaurant, however, (especially an Italian one) is small portions. The pollo Milanese was tiny (also lacked seasoning, incidentally) while so too was my friend’s ravioli. Such a disappointing meal.

We have just arrived home from Michael Angelo's, this was booked for our anniversary dinner, and our first time there, I have very strict dietary requirements which makes dining out quite stressful, have to say, manager is very empathetic, service was impeccable and the food was the best dining experience I have had in a long long time, flawless in every way, if your thinking of booking a table, stop thinking just book a table you will enjoy every aspect of this fantastic restaurant! Thanks to everyone that made our night out that extra bit special, and compliments to the chef, outstanding food cannot thank you enough!

Delighted to return to Michaelangelo's for an impromptu taster menu and drinks on Saturday 22nd May. It's not just been a long long wait for Mark and his staff to return. As Patrons, we have missed dining out there. It was great to see that the food was,as always, delicious.
