Prezzo Mumbles in Swansea

Poor! Booked for our anniversary last night, which they asked when we booked. This was never acknowledged!!! Why ask on the booking. The food was bland and no taste, the garlic bread was like a crisp and overdue. The chicken was like water , I would never recommend and also I really don't think it was freshly cooked it was as if its been warmed in a microwave. I would never return appalling experience, the only good thing was the wine and that was overpriced. Would really like a response 🤔

Right on the Mumbles seafront. Watch the world go by when your there. Best spaghetti bolognese ever.

Very nice place with friendly staff and good wine and food

I normally enjoy going to Prezzo’s in Mumbles but my experience was not pleasant this last time. First of all it was freezing cold and we had to keep our coats on the whole time we were there. What really ruined my lunch was the attitude of the blonde European waiter that served us. On a few occasions the way he spoke to me was patronising and arrogant and I will not be going back to Prezzo’s again unfortunately.

This chain Italian restaurant was an excellent addition to the Mumbles dining scene. Family friendly with excellent views over Swansea Bay and the Mumbles lighthouse. Prezzo is certified by Coeliac UK for those of us who are forced to avoid gluten and both the kitchen staff and the wait staff are properly trained on allergies and intolerances. Gluten-free food is served with a flag on a cocktail stick so you are sure they are aware, and in 5 years of dining here, I have never got sick. Decent wine list, by Swansea standards at least. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff, though those not from the Principality may struggle with the local accent (an American friend I entertained there asked me if they were speaking Welsh - it was English but the local accent is strong until you are used to it)

Very over priced we thought, £17.95 for lasagne nothing else comes with it.. Fortunately we had a voucher code therefore had discount. Lasagne was nice, but not worth the full price.

My husband and I have never been a fan of Prezzo as we have had a couple bad experiences from various establishments. Well tonight we take it all back. We took our grandson for his request for a calzone. Other grandson staying at home. The staff were wonderful food great they couldn’t do enough for us. We felt comfortable, welcome and most of all valued. As it was buy one get one free on mains we were allowed to take one for other grandson. Whoever was working in Mumbles branch on 18th April 2024 at 6.00pm ask your owners for a pay rise as you have changed the mind of two hard nosed people. We will be back and bring all the family and friends thank you

Such a fantastic location with parking directly outside too. The restaurant is very spacious with seating on two floors and also outside. Tom and all the staff were very efficient and helpful. The menu is good and all three courses arrived in good time and were a perfect temperature and taste. I highly recommend here and will be returning within the next few weeks.

Came here with the misses on a weekend and we both enjoyed a lovely meal. Food was amazing, service was great. Would definitely come again.

Shouldn’t have bother, time it took to get served we could have eaten a three course meal in the time it took to actually get served.

We went here as a large extended family meal. Firstly the prices of the drinks/alcohol were astonishing for South Wales. £7 a pint is what you'd expect in London. It was so off putting, I've never seen a whole table stick to just tap water throughout. The food came quite quickly after ordering (which is always dubious). My food was tasty but on the salty side. The portion overall was small and very little chicken. Not worth the £16-17 I'd paid. My wife didn't enjoy her Bolognese. The side of fries were served in a tiny cup. Overall we didn't order anything else but that still set us back £40! The only positives were the nice waiter and the views. I feel that this restaurant is just playing on its prime location and seeing who's silly enough to pay their inflated prices! Won't be falling for this one again...

Went here for an evening meal with our family over Easter. We will never return, and I can't imagine why anyone would go back twice, given how this restaurant functions. I appreciate it's a chain, but there was no 'restaurant experience' to speak of at all, and in an area where competition is strong, it must only be a matter of time until this one disappears. It is a soulless atmosphere, despite the glorious setting, and overlit with inattentive staff. There was no delay between starters and main courses, with the food being rushed out. This is easier to understand once it's tasted, since it's clearly boil in the bag/microwaved pre-packed bulk food. Not sure whether that quite excuses how watery and bland all our pasta meals were, or why they all 'tasted' the same despite being different choices! The only thing in fact that was 'tasty' was the bill. The food is over-priced even if it was half-decent, which it isn't! I'd suggest spending your money somewhere else.

Highly recommend Prezzo . Came here with my 2 daughters. The food was 5 stars. Atmosphere great . Staff were some of the most polite I had come across in any restaurant. The manager was lovely he made sure everyone was happy. Both my girls loved it here. Great personal professional service. I highly recommend it to everyone and will definitely be back.

Nice place, great views. Food is nice but on expensive side! Drinks are very overpriced. Nice to visit but certainly wouldn't be regular due to cost. Staff and service is very good.

Came with my wife and two young daughters for my birthday lunch. I cannot fault the friendliness of the staff at all. However the food was mediocre at best. Full disclosure I’ve had cordon bleu training and I’ve been to Italy a lot so I’m a tough prospect for a chain restaurant to satisfy especially when their prices are towards the premium end and, knowing how the industry works, I do gear my expectations accordingly but this was below average and my main meal was simply inedible. The food flies out of the kitchen in not time at all as it must come pre packaged and is reheated - think unidentified frying objects like you can get in any supermarket freezer section with a massive mark up. Ok the calamari was perfectly fine, my daughters deep fried mozzarella was ok to as was the children’s pizza. My wife’s seabass looked the part but was on the side of slightly overcooked but still just edible however my saltimbocca was awful. A microwave jacket plus a pre cooked birdseye chicken fillet cut in half and microwaved until it’s a hockey puck with a slice of Parma ham crisped and a couple of sage leaves on top and a sliver of a wilted cabbage in what tasted oxo chicken stock doesn’t warrant £19.50. This is not a salitimbocca like I’ve ever had in the UK or Italy (or made!) before and saltimbocca BTW means ‘get in my mouth’ - this needed to get in the bin pronto and the development kitchen for Prezzo needs a rocket up their backsides or at least a trip to Italy! By the time we were asked if everything was ok my wife and daughters had finished and my food minus a bite was sat there cold and congealed so I just said take it off the bill. They graciously did and comped my dessert - a defrosted tiramisu which was edible if a bit underwhelming - and gave me a limoncello shot which was rather nice. The 2/5 rating is purely for the staff being so nice and the wine was quite pleasant actually but food wise there’s nothing worth coming for.

Called at this lovely seafront restaurant for lunch today with my wife. Delicious food served by fantastic staff who were friendly, polite and attentive without being overbearing or intrusive. We would recommend this restaurant for delicious Italian 🇮🇹 food 👏

Friendly staff and helpful, parking outside pay and display, beautiful views on the beach. Outside seating,there are set menu's for certain price range. Wonderful ingredients in the food, presentation was out of this world. Very fast service, range of drinks menu. Moderate price and range of items on menu. Definitely be returning especially for the tasty trip CBD drinks.

Had a lovely meal here. The staff were so accommodating when we had to change our table reservation last minute. Great service, lovely food, the lemon meringue was delicious. The only thing I would say, is that if there is anyone with restricted mobilty in your group, request a table downstairs. I didn't realise there were tables upstairs. This was my fault, not the restaurant's.

Aww what can I say but praise. Took my granddaughter there with my daughter and lovely welcome right from the start. We sat by guy not far from pizza oven and the whole experience from start to end was lovely. Red head guy with beard was fantastic and must say we do come here quite a bit just gets better every time. Well done Prezzo mumbles we will keep coming 100 percent

Car park right outside premises. Pay and Display, Ground floor so disabled access, very clean. Pleasent staff very helpful always ask if there's something not on the menu that you're interested in. Went in the day for lunch. Perfect location and view. Plenty of outside seating. Excellent quality in food and presentation. Very busy in the summer. Advice to book a table. Italian restaurant. At least 20 to 30 pound each person.

A friend and I went for food on a whim and was pleasantly surprised, food was very good - warm and cooked nicely. The servers were very friendly and happy to chat, big thank you to Chloe!

Only thing nice about this place is the atmosphere and view. Food for vegans/ vegetarians is atrocious. Had the vegan pepperoni pizza, 'cheese' was like glue and 'pepperoni' was burnt rubber - taste and texture wise! Pasta was so bland. Very unfortunate because it wasn't cheap either.

We had prior booked this reservation for a valentines lunch. Friendly welcome and sitted quickly. Our drinks order was taken speedily being a diabetic I found 1 drink that was okay to drink, hubby ordered a Pepsi at £3.95 he only had 1. Our starters came they were delicious same with main course. I was cold so wanted to leave asked for the bill ( from a manager) nothing arrived then a young waitress came and asked if we wanted dessert I said I'd asked for the bill. She then sorted we then had to wait again to pay while bar staff and table staff had a conversation about a jumper that they had got out of where there belongings were stored, in the end my hubby got up and went to pay by till. Would I return not in a rush and definitely on a warmer day. Upstairs was not open in my opinion with it being a cold day keeping everybody away from draughty door would have been a better choice.

Dry, hard chicken with a sparse, bland sauce served with one small potato and cabbage, all for £20! Worst meal I’ve had for a while, not recommended

Never faulted the food on this place..yes its a chain. So yes the food would probably come on frozen a lot of the time..however its of a good standard and staff have always been friendly and attentive.

A lovely place for lunch if your in the Mumbles.

My partner and I thought we would give prezzo a visit last night for our dinner as a treat and having a 2 for 1 voucher on the mains and to be honest thank god we did have the voucher as there is nothing good to say about the terrible none flavoured spaghetti with apparently king prawn dish I ordered The spaghetti was very bland no flavour at all ,aparently the prawns were king prawns but the smallest king prawns I've ever seen and just added to the spaghetti from something been bought out of tesco fridge isle served on the plate which cost £17.95 which was only enough to feed a small child which is absolutely shocking as this is a suppose to be a top italian restaurant 🤔 For the price you pay on this you'd think or definitely should been given a side order with the pasta dishes like garlic bread which would value the shockingly high priced dishes that are not freshly prepared I'VE ATE BETTER PASTA DISHES AT WEATHERSPOONS AND AT A FRACTION OF PREZZO'S SHOCKINGLY HIGH PRICE FROZEN MEALS

Great location in the heart of mumbles. Right on the waterfront with fantastic views across the bay. Service was great with a lively atmosphere on a Friday night. Feel the menu is slightly overpriced.

My wife had the Chicken, Prosciutto & Sage Saltimbocca frozen jacket potato and very dry two thin strips of chicken - shocking. £10 for a glass of red and £6.50 for a 330ml 0% IPA which tasted like washing up liquid. For desert we shared Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake with Banana £8.50 which was very dry. Avoid Avoid Avoid I came out of there £76 lighter even with a 2 for 1 main meal voucher. On reflection we should have sent both meals back. My starter of bread with Italian hummus was very nice and the frozen Pumpkin & Mozzarella Arancini was ok. If you’re going there, order pizza as they looked very nice and expect a large bill. Good luck

Definitely fell short of expectations. Yes, it was a set meal, but also it was £31.35 for two courses and a glass of small lemonade. I actually stopped myself buying a pint at £7.00. yes you read that right. £7.00 a pint. In short, the food was dry and expensive, the drink was ridiculously priced and there was no atmosphere. The service was okay, but please note, they add the service charge on whether you like it or not. No need to go back.

Lovely staff. Food was not what was described on the menu. Very disappointed. An £80 lunch probably worth about £30 .

Stopped for lunch and the place seemed to be pretty busy which led to a couple of mistakes with the order etc. but the level of service was great considering. Very friendly. Food was average, but maybe what you'd expect from a chain.

We were pleasantly surprised to get promoted friendly lunchtime service in these busy weekends leading up to Xmas; great to get into warm surroundings out of horrible weather! We were preps for a long wait but orders were taken quickly, drinks arrived promptly followed by food. Last but not the least, the pizza with extra nduja was as good as anything you can get in Naples.. done by hand by the manager himself!

We came here for my friends birthday. The waiter I think her name was Rebecca was so rude. Had an attitude the whole time. I asked for water and when she didn’t come for 10-15 mins I got up and asked her again and she rudely sent me away. By the time our meal was finished I still didn’t get water until right at the end. All the other tables did. We then wanted to pay and had 30% discount and totalled the price which wasn't adding up. I told the waiter and she started saying all 7 of us were wrong and that she’s right and that we can’t do maths and just kept complaining under her breath. We didn’t mind paying the extra just wanted to understand why it wasn’t totalling. I even heard her swear and tried to ignore it. She went back and asked her manager. Came back and slammed the receipt to my face and said” it’s only 30% off on food and not drinks so I was right” with and attitude and I said no it was just misinformation. She then called me rude and went on a tantrum and walked off. Also she kept avoiding serving us and so we had to leave late. I told the manager and he was nice. Gave me a free drink and food voucher but we as a group definitely won’t be coming back there. The one star review was for the manager. The food wasn’t bad.

Overpriced and really cold inside

What a fabulous night. Everything was just perfect 💜 The venue, the staff and OMG the loveliest food 💜 Hats off to the Chefs who catered for my dietary needs - quite complicated especially in an Italian restaurant. Most amazing Gluten Free pizza. Our waiter was extremely attentive even going the extra mile to check all ingredients. Very lovely end to our holiday - highly recommend this wonderful restaurant and its staff 💜

An absolutely amazing restaurant, food was amazing, ambience fantastic, staff very friendly, and authentic italian food, also the views are stunning, it overlooks the swansea bay and mumbles, spotlessly clean, you can book the room upstairs for functions which is where we were on Sunday, can't praise it enough.

Nice place good location friendly staff but food bit pricey not good value for money

More expensive and the food wasn't so good. My husbands pizza was warm not hot.The size of my crab and lobster pasta was like a child portions and nearly £20. Bottle ice red wine £25..Don't think we will go again. It wasn't worth the money and an expensive night out.

Food was good but we waited 40 minutes for our plates to be cleared and an opportunity to order dessert. Please improve the service and this would be a great place to eat

Service was a big letdown! We had a voucher for our meal, and it felt like we were bottom of the pack when it came to priorities. They took nearly an hour with our main course, leaving the kitchen empty during this time, We then asked for our dessert to take away, since tis had taken so long. This took half an hour to arrive, spending ages sitting on the counter. Our waitress seemed to be unaware that anything was wrong. To make matter worse, when we spoke to her on the way out, she laughed. But at the end of the day, this place is just a big joke!

Very disappointed. I went with a large group of people recently for a 60th birthday. I ordered chicken pasta Alfredo & when the food arrived the portion was small & it looked nothing like Alfredo, which is what I always have when I visit Italian restaurant. When I started eating it I shockingly discovered there were only three pieces of chicken!!!!! Also my husband's chicken burger was very hard. A pint of lager was £7.25!!!! I would not recommend & never return.

Great location, overlooking Abertawe Bay. Decent food but way too expensive for what it is. Service was interesting. Staff very nice but none of them seemed to know what the others were doing or who should be doing what. This created a bit of a slapstick type experience for us and the other very nice customers on the next table. As one would go to get something, another would appear to ask us the same question, etc. Faulty 'Prezzo' Towers 😂 Don't let that put you off though, the food was delicious, the setting was lovely, and the staff were very nice.

Overpriced. Glass of Pepsi £4.25, pint of Lager £7.25, slice of garlic bread £6.25. Food was ok. Service was dismal. I watched one of the "managers" collect the knives and forks that had been blown off the outside tables due to the wind and simply place them back in to the cutlery trays. The saying " to many chiefs, not enough indians" springs to mind. Won't be seeing you again.

An authentic Neapolita pizzaa place. Pizza were perfectly cooked on wood fire, great dough taste and crunchy crust. The staff was so helpful and place was cosy. Loved it!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! Disgusting place. Below subpar food. TERRIBLE service and absolutely filthy. -1/10. All other cafes and restaurants surrounding this pit are busy. Do yourself a favour and don’t waste your money here. No wonder they’re closing so many restaurants if this is the standard.

Ate here 18 months ago and had a lovely experience with good food and great service. Unfortunately not as good on this occasion. Service was excellent even though it was quite busy but the food was SO disappointing. Last time husband had what was like a hand stretched, fluffy delicious pizza...which unfortunately was no longer on the menu so instead he had the 'posh pizza' which was more like a defrosted base with some slices of meat on top. Very average ....I assume the 'posh' bit was the clump of rocket plonked on top. I had the Rigatoni with chicken which to be honest looked & tasted like a ready meal from the chiller section at Tescos, tasteless (sorry Tescos) and had to dig around to find 3 miniscule bits of chicken. We couldn't be bothered to complain because we were hungry, the service was good and we weren't waiting long. Very average, very corporate, very expensive for the quality of food. Also we had to pay by card which was fine but they refused a receipt unless we gave our email address....!

Lovely little spot for afternoon meal or light bites. Unfortunately myself and another party members chicken was raw. We alerted the staff straight away and they sent off for a new meal to be cooked. The staff came back and asked us who had the raw chicken and then took that price off our individual bills (Pepsi £3 and Lemonade £4). Although that was a kind gesture I wish they did a bit more than that as the main meals themselves were around £17-23 each and had to wait a while for the new dishes. Staff were fantastic all be it a little slow at times but it was a Sunday to be fair. Ultimately the food really let them down this time. Staff were lovely though 💖

Don't try to get in touch by phone - the most ridiculous automated service I have ever used asking for a mailbox number and name of person you are trying to contact!! I must warn people this place was awful. We sat down and it took over thirty minutes to even put in our order( I had to flag them down!) then we waited over an hour for the food to come out. No cutlery even though empty tables had them. The food was cold and awful. We were with two young kids who were left hungry for a long time. Even to pay I had to go to the till and force them to take payment. It took over two hours to finish up. £63 down and an awful experience. They don’t have enough staff and they are not experienced. Avoid it- this place is embarrasing.

Shocked at the portion size. I think my Child had a bigger meal. £16.50 for a handful of pasta & a tea spoon of mince (spaghetti bol) . I will not be returning. Nice location but not worth the price for the size of the meal. Staff are friendly & the venue was clean that would be the only positive.

First time my husband and I went out in a long time, used our Tesco vouchers to buy a meal - things are tight! Ordered a large pizza (was actually quite small in size) to share (thought we’d be romantic) and a couple of beers! Pizza ordered was the chicken with rosemary and balsamic vinegar- was sparsely decorated, had more peppers in a Tesco meal deal, chicken was dried out as if been left in the sun on the Mumbles Pier and less than a handful. (thank goodness) about 3 meagre pieces each (I gave mine to my husband) and the only nice thing was the balsamic vinegar! Awful food, chefs haven’t got a clue, are not producing the quality that this place once had and the atmosphere has changed, ‘I seen you coming’ culture, take your money, don’t complain and let them get away with it - a big difference from a year ago when we went last, gutted to be honest! Felt like an inconvenience from arrival and then rushed to go too. Manager was stressed and it impacted on all customers. As for Tesco vouchers- save them and buy the Tesco finest pizzas with beer (which comes in with the price and not charged for separately) for home, a lot more palatable and enjoyable at a fifth of the cost and a better atmosphere! No stress! Or balsamic vinegar on toast will do it!

The slowest service ever. Tables are not number so the service was slow and super messy. Food tho, is excelente, great quality flavours and prices are ok.

Excellent location and the staff and service were excellent I'm afraid we were let down by the food though. The sea bass deep fried and the beef consisted of a bowl of spring onions with three small nuggets of beef. Ordered some extra fries to top up the size of meal. I left a good tip 10% but we had to go down the road and buy another meal as we were hungry.

Great place to relax and eat, especially on a warm summer evening

A child with known egg and dairy allergies was given a mayonnaise based dip tonight and sat waiting for 30mins yes for his plate of French fries to come. Very poor service.

The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and it’s the perfect place during summer to sit outside and enjoy the view of the bay and catch up with friends. The appetizers were delicious, we had Garlic bread and Pea & Pecorino Arancini. In the main course and dessert, we liked pasta and tiramisu but the pizza and chocolate cake were average. I would go here for finger foods and drinks but not for lunch or dinner.

Had a fantastic evening on Sunday, fab food, staff fab.

Awful vegan pizza. Served as a slop of vegan cheese, tasted disgusting with no condiments or napkins. Don’t recommend they are 10 years behind the vegan revolution

Food disappointing but excellent customer care

We came as a family to celebrate a joint birthday meal. Our server, who I believe was called Mitzi, was absolutely fantastic. She was so patient with my niece, who had just turned 5, and was incredibly conscientious, engaging and accommodating. An absolute superstar! Food was very good and delivered quickly. Thank you Prezzo for the good night! Will definitely come again

One of the best gluten free pizzas I’ve ever had!

Two of us ate had lasagne and chicken pasta with drinks charged £48 pound bit much for lunch. Also I just checked the lunch menu there's no prices on line leads me to believe I was charged full price.

Lovely lunch today at Prezzo in Mumbles. Food was delicious, couldn't fault it . Lunch menu excellent value ! Service was outstanding especially our waitress Mitsi,. She was so friendly, she had a wonderful personality - kind, caring, attentive, chatty, professional. A real credit to your restaurant! Thankyou for a lovely early Mothers Day lunch in your restaurant .

Sorry this has taken 2 weeks I would like to give the highest of compliments to a waiter called Tom. He couldn't do enough to help us. Furthermore, I couldn't help to notice his work ethic. Ths young man deserves the highest of praise and recognition. He is an absolute credit to your company

We had a lovely time at prezzo, the server Alex was really attentive, he seemed to be the only one doing any work while everyone else stood around talking, the food was also very delicious.

Our waitress was absolutely lovely and so accommodating. Great food and a ton of options for everyone.

I went to Prezzo last night with my Mum and my Brother. It was very busy (Thursday night in half term), but the waitress who was serving us was great, and really went out of the way with customer service. The menu has a great range of dishes, and there are specific vegan/vegetarian menus as well which is really nice. We went for starters, mains and desserts and the food was delicious (you can always guarantee this with a chain restaurant). The service was slow (we waited about 20 mins for drinks, 30 mins for the starters and another 30 mins for our mains), however this was made up for by the waitress serving us and also the quality of the food. In terms of seating, you can either sit upstairs or downstairs, and I would definitely recommend booking as it was busy. If we come and visit the Gower again, we will certainly be coming back.

Went here with my parents today, and it was the best customer service I have ever experienced. The server we had was very accommodating, polite and friendly to everyone she was serving including us. Food was also a 10/10. Thank you to our server (gabby was the name provided on the receipt) :))

Expensive; taking average prices for 4 people to have 3 courses with a bottle of wine and coffee with 10% tip not far off £200. Upstairs lacked the atmosphere of downstairs but food good and staff friendly

Lit well, great food, great atmosphere with music, verrrry long queue to get in BC it is a Saturday night, kind staff, feel safe inside, too lemony the humus was. Thank you Prezzo staff!

Much improved from the review below, staff are still excellent but the food is definitely better than previously. It is expensive though so see if you can get discounts online Would give 3.5 stars. The restaurant was busy but there seemed to be quite a few staff around but they were rushed off their feet. The staff were great but the service was patchy as they were so busy. Starters arrived before the drinks, had to chaee them up. Mains arrived, the burger wasn't as ordered so we had to take out what we'd asked not to be in there, one of sides didn't arrive so had to chase that up, asked for mayo, took ages to arrive and then took forever to get and pay the bill. The food itself was decent though the starters did seem a bit over priced. Staff were great though as I said.

Went to Prezzo in mumbles with my wife and daughter for a meal. Didn't book a table which wasn't an issue as it was quite in the restaurant. Was seated quickly by our server who was very good but forgot to catch his name. He recognised the fact that we are Muslims and asked if he should take the wine glasses straight away which was nice. Explained the children's menu and took our orders. Also offered my daughter pencils to colour in the back of the children's menu. Which is nice to keep kids occupied while the food was prepared. Food was lovely and came within a good time. And happy with the service up until this point. Unfortunately our server went on break and things became a little slow especially as we were trying to leave and pay out bill. Also had to ask a few times for our daughters desert. Overall a very good experience and would go back again. Would love it if they had some halal options.

Visited one evening, quite early. Plenty of parking at reasonable prices. Restaurant was cold, everyone kept their costs on. Service was very friendly, credit to all the waiting staff. The pasta was excellent, the pizza was OK, not enough toppings, meaning some of the time you were just eating plain dough. Desserts were good, but not worth £7.75 each. Overall disappointing, too expensive for what it is, £60 for two mains, two desserts and two soft drinks in a cold restaurant with old worn seating. No reflection on the staff who were excellent, but Prezzo need to let them turn the heating on, update the worn furniture and make the prices more realistic for what is being served.
