Pizzeria Vesuvio in Swansea

Food is good but service is always terrible, have to call staff over to ask to order drinks, food, etc they don't come to you naturally. Service always spoils the experience.

A lovely meal here today for my husband's birthday. We went with the lunch time menu and it was a real good deal. Food portions were a nice size and staff were really friendly.

although quickly delivered by uber tonight, food was cold. the pizza was so cold had to be microwaved which made it soft + floppy. my Pollo al Princess was also not hot, eat it as starving. good quality, 1st time this has happened, shame.

Honestly a huge disappointment unfortunately in contrast to the fantastic Sea Food they serve the pasta dishes were a 3/10 don't understand how a Italian Pasta with prawns comes in a bowl full of pasta and so much sauce it literally tasted and looked like a childs amateur made tomato soup... Carbonara my partner ordered was made from cream rather than egg so not sure what happen there and it was absolutelly tastless almost milky and unseasoned and tbh Pizza was so bitter as if we was eating tomato puree directly from a tube. Look %100 recommended for the sea food as that was delicious but any pasta dish or the pepperoni was tasteless full of tomato puree and quite frankly a Italian failed job let just say Godfather would definetly not be eating here. Service was brilliant however everyone polite even with a busy environment!

First ever visit here and won't be the last. Food was amazing, there were 16 of us and they looked after us very well. One minor issue was lack of parking.

Great food , amazing service and awesome atmosphere. Me and my husband had an amazing night here . Sea food platter is definitely a big plus .

Back at Vesuvios for the third time for our annual Xmas running group party #YJRunners. Upstairs all to ourselves and what a fantastic evening. Can’t fault the service and the food was excellent.

Impressive! Huge portions compared to other restaurants we have been to this year. The seafood is excellent, clearly bought locally because you can taste the difference. It's worth checking the specials too. The mushroom crostini were superb! Lots of friendly staff, great atmosphere but limited parking (we got lucky). Will visit again.

We attended as a large group. We reordered meals. There were several delays with food being served at different times. There was an error with one meal with a different dish being offered. There were a number of errors with the drinks order and then we were over charged for their mistakes. Overall a negative experience and I won't go back.

Absolutely fantastic!! We booked a table for all. The staff were really attentive, nothing was too much of a trouble. The food was great and delicious served by efficient staff. The Restaurant was very busy but the staff were quick serving a perfect hot meal and clearing away the used dishes after we had eaten. The desserts were exceptional . The experience was really comfortable with no hassles.

This place never disappoints. We had the the sea taste platter and garlic bread. It is crazy how good the food was. We have been there about 10 times now and every time they have been fantastic. The atmosphere, service and food were all on point. I cant recommend this place enough.

We booked the upstairs for a party of 20 and the service was wonderful. Food was fab and we all had a fantastic night.

Called ad hoc, after visiting the local whiskey Distillery. Food & drink was good, but there was a large party on the table next to us which was quite loud. Worth another visit definitely.

One of the best meals I have had in Swansea! My creamy pasta with chicken, bacon and shrimps was incredibly heavenly and the tiramisu was out of this world! Keep up the amazing food and service! 🫶🏼

Lovely food, service and ambience. We visit as often as possible.

Food was a pretty decent Italian affair. Good selection of dishes with a fast service. Pizzas looked good but were a little too doughy and could be much better. I think the pastas were better choices though. Also had the lamb shank special which was a good size but too salty.

It was quite busy when we went, parking is an absolute nightmare, they should love the outdoor seating that isn't used and re-instate the parking

after being recommended this restaurant I was disappointed with my visit. Service was very slow, took ~15 minutes for anyone to come over to our table and order a drink. The drinks also arrived at the same time as the food. The food itself was very average, mine looked like it had been sat under the hot plate for a while and was not presented well. When the server provided Parmesan, she reached right over the person next to me over their dish, instead of coming to the side of me. Not sure if I will be back.

All the staff were friendly & accommodating.Even when they were mega busy..We had three courses and each course was first class & we didn't have to wait too long between each course.Looking in forward in going there again.

Lovely place which I frequent when I visit Swansea. Their veg lasagne is my usual favourite, but the last few times this was quite watery and the staff were not happy to change it. My Italian father loves this place, when he visits, so this time around, I had ordered the salmon - I was not disappointed. Excellent food. Just to be mindful, that when the restaurant is full, it can be extremely loud.

First time coming here today and wow, it did not disappoint. The food was superb with large portions and a thorough menu with lots of choice! The ambience of the restaurant was wonderful, the staff were friendly and attentive but not over bearing which was really nice to be left to enjoy our food in peace, all in all, nothing to fault! This will be a regular spot for me and my family. Thank you for booking us in at short notice. We will be back :)

Lunch menu is an absolute winner. Easily the best value for the quality around. Pasta mafiosa is unbelievable. But the best thing ever is the fried bread balls. My favourite restaurant its as good as its always been if not better!

Amazing choice of food, portions on the large size but very tasty. The staff are friendly and welcoming, I will definitely be going again. Parking is a little hit or miss.

Very accommodating for a party of 8 for a birthday. Food and service were excellent! It's what keeps people coming back. *Update* We have been back again, a year later for the same person's birthday. Food, service, and atmosphere were again, impeccable. The pepper chicken was divine and of course we ordered extra dough balls!

Fab u lous! Delicious food, smiling staff and great ambience. Don't be fooled by the dour exterior, it's lively, cheerful and welcoming inside. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 kids; nothing was too much trouble. Even though it was a busy Friday night, we were severed promptly and professionally. Very happy to return!

We went to vesuvio lunch today to celebrate my 70th birthday we were a party of 11 we were very disappointed by the service we received we arrived at 1240pm left at 230 the booking name Prosser.

Waited 1/2 hr for a drink. Food was ok but too expensive. Had Celion Dion screaming all through the meal. Very noisy. Should have played Italian music. Will not be returning.

We haven't been here for a couple of years and this was our first meal out in Swansea on arrival after a couple of years away. My husband and I were both looking forward to it and were delighted it was every bit as good as we remembered. It was warm and inviting. We were greeted warmly in good time, seated quickly, and our order was taken very graciously. Our food arrived in good time and was very tasty indeed. Highly recommended and our thanks go to the whole team.

Not visited in a very long time, was very impressed. Staff were friendly and efficient. Had the meatball starter (a very good sized portion) and slow cooked lamb off the special board. Both were excellent. Really good selection of wines too

Firstly before I go to the restaurant I called them for booking today at (6th March 6.17 pm ) , & they said it’s full no bookings till 8pm but we wer really hungry so my partner told let’s go their & try asking When we went the restaurant having many empty tables & it was not at all full , when we went & asked for a table & they gave it but my point is if I would have choosen to go another restaurant when they said in telephone conversation . So I’m just telling you the exact timing of the call so any manager can check the cctv & address this problem , if it is like this u might loose many customers & coming to food it was okay not bad but very less vegetarian options . Thankyou

Best Italian in Swansea. The food and service are so good. It does get very busy which is understandable when you realise how good the food is!

Had a meal there on 24th Feb, 2024. Probably the worst sirloin steak I've ever had and at £24.95 , zero value for money. The steak knife couldn't cut it!!!

Amazing food and atmosphere. We had the lunchtime 2 course offer and it was perfect. 3 of us had food and 3 of us left happy!

We last went to Pizzeria Vesuvio just after they first opened a few decades ago!! We finally revisited last night (24.01.2024) & received a very warm and friendly welcome. The food was outstanding clearly freshly cooked from scratch - it was food heaven! The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were a credit to the restaurant. It was my daughters 1st visit to the restaurant and it’s now a firm favourite for them to go back. I simply cannot praise the restaurant, food and staff enough.
