We last went to Pizzeria Vesuvio just after they first opened a few decades ago!! We finally revisited last night (24.01.2024) & received a very warm and friendly welcome. The food was outstanding clearly freshly cooked from scratch - it was food heaven! The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were a credit to the restaurant. It was my daughters 1st visit to the restaurant and it’s now a firm favourite for them to go back. I simply cannot praise the restaurant, food and staff enough.

Six of us went for lunch.Everyone was delighted with their meal. Excellent value and staff are courteous and helpful. Will definitely return.

Food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. Came as two couples catching up over the Christmas period, so it was very busy & very loud at the time, but we still had a fabulous evening.

Myself and my partner was very disappointed about the food. Starter was on the menu light spicy but I couldn't eat my mouth had on fire. Pasta didnt have any taste,not proper Italian carbonara. Like ready meal in the supermarket. Staff was friendly and helpful

Terrible service waited 40 minutes for drink even longer to order. Starters 3 scampi all rock hard as was over cooked.ordered takeaway pizza £15.00 wasn't worth £5.00 really disappointed

The place was lovely and gives a feeling like you are sitting outdoors. The service was great as well. Have not tried many dishes but everyone was happy with their dishes. The starters were smashing.

Lovely place for a quick bite to eat, perfect atmosphere and service was 2nd to none! Complimentary starters and food was served quick! Couldn't find fault! Parking was a bit of shambles but that's nothing on the restaurants fault.

Ordered a takeaway meal from here as I had read excellent reviews, could not fault in anyway. Telephone ordering very straight forward, order promised for delivery the other side of the city in 40 minutes, arrived on time and hot. Food absolutely fabulous, pizza lovely, lasagne amazing, chicken in white wine delicious. Family could not decide which was their favourite. Cannot wait for this restaurant to open properly after Covid as we will be booking a table. Well done 🥰

Food is very tasty and good value, great choice on the menu. Service outstanding. Music volume could have been turned down a little bit.

We didn't book but was lucky to have a table. I advise anyone who thinking of going to book I had lunch time offer of starter bruchetter and my main meal was mafiosa penne pasta and my son had prawn cocktail and then main a Pizza and side of onion rings. Freshly made and warm welcome and lovely clean restaurant. We will return.

Ordered through Uber eats, driver initially cancelled and they found a new driver quickly, yet when the food arrived it was stone cold. Presumably the restaurant was busy which is why the first driver left, but clearly our food wasn’t kept under a heat lamp or the order remade before the 2nd driver arrived. Cold dinner and awful service when we called the restaurant for help. Disappointed as I usually love this restaurant.

Ordered food and it came ice cold, staff were completely unhelpful. Will not be eating here or ordering again!

Food was delicious and quick service.

We ordered pane Al Aglio for starters meat feast pizza,carbonara pasta, marinara pasta. The garlic bread was ordered as a starter but arrived after the main meal. There was no taste or flavour to any of the dishes. The lack of sea food in the marinara was very poor and tasted so bland that it wasn’t eaten. Good job there was salt and pepper on the table as that was the only seasoning. The whole experience seemed rushed, we were in and out within an hour as our meals arrived within less than 5 minutes after ordering and considering the venue was very busy, if there was any effort gone into the food it surely would’ve taken a few extra minutes to cook. When asked if we had enjoyed our food, we complained that the marinara was tasteless and we were asked if we would like to take it home. We have had tastier carbonara and marinara dishes in microwave meals. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Went for my birthday. One of the best Italian restaurants in Wales. Delicious food, lovely and warming staff and a great atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

Had set lunch menu with friends, lovely service, food excellent, toilets clean, The main menu is a little on the expensive side. I'm glad we had the option of the lunch menu, which was excellent value under£12 for 2 courses. Nice selection

First time visiting Vesuvios - food was great and big portions. Anti pasto for 2 sharing board was fantastic. Service could have been much quicker. Will definitely return 😊

We dropped in tonight for dinner, and the meal and service was amazing, totally exceeded what we had hoped for. At £30 head for 2 courses it was a great value and highly enjoyable meal. We will go again next time in the area and highly recommend the restaurant.

The food, was delicious I can't fault the food. However the service by the waiters/waitresses were not so good. The waiter who served us mumbled to us which made it difficult for us to hear him and then after our food we wanted to pay and go but the waiters/waitresses ignored us we tried to catch their eye and say excuse me but they just walked past. After well over 30 mins we managed to ask someone if we could have the bill and it took ages for them to come back to the table with the card machine. It was disappointing to the least.

Stunning food great service and excellent quality

Service was very slow. Waited 50 mins for starters considering they gave table for 1 & 1/2 hours. Tried to charge me more at the till but I noticed & got it corrected so check your bill when you receive it. Other than that the food was very nice & hot. I would go again but not when I am in a rush during lunch time.

We had the set lunch menu at £11.95 for a starter and main course. There was a varied choice, reasonably good portions, and the food was faultless. Service was pleasant and helpful despite it being busy. I would recommend it.

Haven't been to Vesuvios for a while. It was fantastic, totally recommend the lunchtime menu which was very reasonably priced and the food was of the highest quality. Staff were all very friendly and efficient. Nice to see it was busy when so many restaurants are struggling. Recommend a visit.

Food was really tasty but it was cold as the delivery is late. It happened twice.

Very nice food the only real downside is parking. The restaurant doesn't have a carpark so it's pot luck on street.

What can i say but wow about this place. I have been here numerous times and never had a bad meal. They do meal deals for lunch up until about 4 or 5pm quite a few options. Its only starter and main tho no desert that is an extra expense. I would prefer a choice of a starter or a desert which most restaurants do. Plus possibly have a 3 course offer too. You do get free basket of mini breads oh the salted one is 😋😋😋

The food was OK. It was fine but not amazing. The serving staff were lovely and working hard but they have no system to know who ordered what so with a larger group service was chaos and took ages. That makes it more difficult to relax and enjoy the meal and company.

Can't really fault this place, used to frequent here years ago in my youth and it was lovely then, came back 25 years later and it's still the same. Lovely food, the waiter was very attentive and friendly. We had the lunch menu 2 courses for £11.99 i think it was and it was delicious. The baked mushrooms for starters was lovely and i had the penne mafioso for main and both very good quality and perfect portion sizes. We particularly enjoy the free bread basket but i do remember from 25 years ago it was much bigger and more variety but I guess inflation has taken over. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

Not been here for ages except when my daughter and I snuck here from time to time and all because the wife I used to have access to didn't like it she was a fussy soulless person. But luckily she has moved on to better things than me and I am a free man again so I am glad to say it's still as good as before so I will definitely be back soon

Absolutely stunning food. Couldn't fault it at all. Three amazing meals. Service was good, staff seemed rushed off their feet serving very quickly and not coming back to see if the food was okay for us. However is can't praise the food enough. I'd go back and eat there everyday if I could.

Vesuvios has a fantastic menu.. with Something for everyone.. pasta.. pizza cooked in a wood fired oven... Sat night I had the mixed seafood starter . Had 1 giant prawn.. like a small lobster was so big... lots of Calamari. Lots of king prawns .. some huge mussels all served with a garlic and chilli sauce.... this was amazing... best starter I have eaten in this country ever... What a taste of the Mediterranean... This resteraunt is going from strength to strength... well done Vesuvios I felt like I had been on my holidays.. an not just in Landore.. my birthplace!

Booked a table for 3 to dine at 8.30pm. We arrived at 8.25pm and were greeted and shown to our table promptly. The food was delicious and the service polite and friendly. We immediately booked another table for a week later.

Attended for dinner with work colleagues and we received extremely fast and professional service. The food was cooked deliciously, will be attending again in the near future.

I picked up chips lasagne and cheese garlic bread on Tuesday paid 18.95 I was disgusting the food was thrown in container very bad full of grease. I won’t be coming back to this place again …… must be new owners

Great service and amazing food!!

We had awful food poisoning from this place, the food was not hot and clearly hadn't been stored and heated up properly. Staff were rude and disinterested. One waiter dropped a dirty knife onto my partners leg and shoes which has left stains, and he didn't even apologise or pick the dirty cutlery up off the floor, he just walked off. It's extremely sad to see vesuvios go downhill when it's always had such a great reputation and the food was always good.
