Fabulous Restaurant with fabulous food!

Just left and I can honestly say I had the best fillet steak I have ever had in my whole entire life-If you want beautiful authentic Italian food then you need to book a table now! The profiteroles were to die for-just stunning!

It's great to find a restaurant where the food is good, the service is great and the atmosphere lends itself to the occasion. This is our 4th visit to Topo Gigio, and it hasn't let us down. It's well worth a visit.

Amazing food, amazing staff & atmosphere

Small and intimate restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were very nice :) the bread they gave to start was really nice with butter. The risotto was VERY delicious, I highly recommend it if it happens to be the special that day. The meatballs were okay, I expected them to be more flavourful but just wasn’t for our taste. The braised beef was so tender and so flavourful and delicious. The vegetables that came with it were also cooked perfectly!! Highly recommend this main dish. The sauce on the bolognese was also very delicious, but once it was mixed in with the pasta, the flavour was watered down and became a bit bland for our taste. For dessert, I ordered a cappuccino and a homemade tiramisu. They were both very tasty and complimented each other well! I recommend ordering them!! Everything we ordered added up to about £65 Overall, fantastic food, atmosphere and service. Better than any Italian restaurants I’ve eaten at in Swansea! Highly recommend to come down and enjoy a nice dinner there!! :)

Such a lovely, comfortable, welcoming place. Delicious food and excellent service. They cater for gluten free customers and gave good allergy advice. The aubergine starter was delicious and the cheesecake is to die for. Highly recommended.

One of the best restaurants in Swansea!! I’ve been going to this restaurant for years with family & friends and the level of service and the quality of food is excellent. I was there last Saturday with my cousin & his family who were only in Swansea for two night,,but it was the first request on their agenda.

Had dinner with a friend while on a visit to Swansea, quite possibly the best restaurant in the area. Authentic Italian cooking from the Puglia region, impeccably presented and really fresh. It's a fabulous, intimate restaurant with a lovely atmosphere, the service was professional and super friendly, and at the end of our meal we enjoyed chatting to the owner about Puglia. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff and good dessert. However the main menu is a bit outdated and doesn't offer many vegetarian options. Furthermore, the decor is mostly outdated too, affecting the ambiance. Besides this, a very atmospheric restaurant.

Wonderful Italian restaurant with many delicious food options available. Decent choice of excellent Italian wines. Very friendly and attentive service. Relatively inexpensive given the very high quality of the cuisine.

Really good covid measures, distancing, screens, face shields, gloves and regular sanitising. Lovely food with good portions and vegan options, including delicious vegan pesto. Good service with really friendly staff.

Oh dear. So very disappointed. I travel a lot & like to support small local independent restaurants but I made a mistake tonight. Garlic bread starter was tough to cut to start but when the pesto pasta arrived my heart sank. A jar of Sacla & pasta at home is much better for about £1. Very, very over-priced for what I got, especially when I know what I've eaten elsewhere for less. I chose the window seat, but it was cold & draughty. Thank goodness I can claim this back on expenses.

Once again Topo Gigio has top marks. It a shame that I cannot give a 100points out of 10. Cheryl and her crew are so welcoming. Once shown to our table we ordered a bottle of cold water and were given the wine list and menu. Bottle of wine came as we perused the various menu. We ordered Parma ham and melon to start. Absolutely delicious. The melon was at its best and the Parma ham was so fresh and plentiful. Our main course was fillet steak a la Pepe with gorgeous fresh vegetables. The sauté potatoes to die for. To finish, hubby had home made strawberry ice cream and I had brandy coffee. What a feast! Will be back in march for our anniversary. Thanks so much to Gino and Cheryl. Xxxx

My wife and I visited Topo Gigio midweek for an impromptu meal. We were recommended this establishment by a friend who said that he hadn't had a bad meal there. On entry the decor is dated but not terrible and adds if anything a little character to the place. We both ordered from the 3 course set menu ordering garlic mushrooms to start and beef in red wine for our main course. I was flabbergasted to her the microwave ping 30 seconds or so before my reheated mushrooms were served. The garlic mushrooms were ok but nothing to write home about. We were served a bread roll with our starter that which looked like it had been bought from a supermarket. Not the home made offering I have become used to when dining out at Italian restaurants. The main course was terrible. The sauce had split creating small pools of water that had separated from the tomato and wine probably from the freezing and thawing process. There were 2-3 slices of tender beef covered by the sauce which had no notable flavour. The mains were accompanied by sauté potatoes and veg. This was fine. My wife chose the tiramisu which had hard biscuits where they had not allowed the liquor to absorb. My cheesecake was very nice in fairness, served with a side of crushed hazelnut. We are unlikely to recommend this restaurant and will not return.

When we arrived we were asked if we were the couple from the guest house (Mirador Town House) we were staying in. The guest house owner (who we had only told 10 minutes earlier where we were eating) had called the restaurant to tell them it was my partner's birthday.We were then shown to a table with Happy Birthday confetti on it. A nice touch so quickly executed and thanks to the Mirador too.We each had a main course and dessert plus drinks. Food was really tasty and portions good. Couldn't ask for better. Service was friendly, efficient and helpful throughout.

Probably the best restaurant meal we've ever had. My wife and I visited with friends at their recommendation and were very pleased with the food, the service and the atmosphere. Though three of us are non-meat eaters, we had plenty of choice from the fish and vegetarian selections available and all of us found the food quality to be excellent and the portion sizes just right. The lady who served us was polite, friendly and gave us exactly the attention required, without being intrusive. A very pleasant evening in a relaxed atmosphere and excellent value for money. Will definitely be returning.

Just returned from a meal at Topo Gigio felt I had to write a review on behalf of this restaurant as the meal was so wonderful, everything from the King Prawn starter, the Fillet Steak and the home made coconut and Malibu icecream deserved a 10 out of ten. I have eaten at restaurants in over 50 different countries and this meal was one of the best ever.

My husband fancied some Italian food and I remembered Topo Gigio, even though I hadn't been there for about 20 years. We were greeted with friendly smiles and a polite manner. The food was delicious and you get plenty of it! We also had a 'shared', dessert, which was perfect. We were able to park right outside too. We will be back!!!

Been going here now and then for years. The food is very much 'British Italian' and except for the specials unlikely to scare more conservative eaters. All the portions are large. Excellent fish, good pasta, and superb cheesecakes and home made ice creams. If there is a criticism its that the food choices are fairly heavy and solid. It's not the place to go if you fancy a rocket salad or a thin crust pizza.

Excellent food, generous portions and great service. I can't recommend Topo Gigio enough!
