Prezzo Eltham in Greenwich

We used to come here a lot years ago and stopped due to rude staff. We were lured back this time by the offer of a free bottle of house wine which was very nice. Sadly the menu is very limited and basic so we went for the spaghetti bolognese and marsarla chicken with mushrooms and fries which were both ok but very small portions. For dessert my husband had honeycomb cheese smash cake which again was a very small portion for £7.50 and we laughed out loud when it came with 2 spoons. Anyway great place to come if you fancy the usual boring food and you are on a diet. On the strength of this we have cancelled a booking in the Portsmouth Prezzo's despite the offer of the free wine. On a plus the staff were very pleasant just could have done with more of them. Shame.

Came here for dinner on a Wednesday to take advantage of the meerkat meals deal. The service wasn’t the best, the restaurant seemed completely under staffed. We had to flag down the waitresses for drinks, to chase up our food and to clear our plates. It took so long for our plates to be cleared it put us off having desserts or more drinks. The food was nice but this restaurant needs to invest in more waiting staff as 2 waitresses is not enough!

The Squid starter was fantastic. The rice ball is fine. The main dishes we ordered Lasagne and Margarita pizza. Disappointing. 1. The pasta sheet is over cooked, mushy. The meat sauce are thick but little meat. They claimed baked in the wood burning oven but not enough time. 2. The pizza is horrible as very little cheese and tomato sauce, 3 little pieces of mint leaves. Undercooked and no burnt or charcoal smell. 3. We talked to the waitress and she told us the chef apologized to her but not mentioned anything else. I bet he is a “weekend chef” as he is so young. Glad that the manager understood after look at the pie. Otherwise, we would not come again. Bad chain store experience. If we ever come again, definitely pasta from the kitchen only.

If I could mark this lower I would. Drinks were good but food was a joke. The new menu is rubbish with hardly any choice. This place use to be one of my favourite places to dine. I had a tuna and pesto pizza.... more like pesto and pesto pizza. Terrible. I had one slice and my family member had the other.... left the rest for the bin.

We're regulars at Eltham Prezzo, so were pleased to see the addition of several new dishes. My Truffled Macaroni Cheese was absolutely delicious; Prezzo has quite a variety of dishes for vegetarians- a plus point! My daughter and her partner thoroughly enjoyed their choices too. Service is friendly and efficient. We shall definitely be back ASAP!

I use to be a regular visitor to Prezzo, but have not been for a good year or more. I had a meal yesterday with 3 friends and it was just a very underwhelming experience. At the time I was eating, the restaurant was quiet, but the service was still very slow, asked for a drink and it never arrived, did not bring garlic bread we ordered, had to send a meal back as the chicken was dry, then when replacement meal arrived, I had to ask for new cutlery, which is no big deal, but just a general lack of attention to details. Our party had a few vouchers, so kept the cost down, but even with discounts it was poor value. Will not return.

I went there with my son today 23/1 around lunch time there was only 3 waitresses on yes it wasn’t very busy fine but when you only have one staff members doing all the work and one is behind the bar doing the drink the other waitress who was wearing a black dress was just walking around the restaurant bossing people around. I ordered my sons pudding which was pancakes and bananas we didn’t get the bananas I ask for them and she rolled her eyes like it was too much work for her. The kitchen cut up the bananas very quickly rang the bell she looked at it and walked past them 3 times. This waitress I feel was very rude. There was a table next to me that said there was no hand soap in the bathroom. She then went on to say I will get someone to do that. Like it was too much work for her to do again. The one waitress who was very busy serving all the tables by herself was very kind and a great waitress. Thank you to the kitchen staff and the two waitress that day who actually did some work.

The food was lovely, what let it down was the staff unfortunately, in this climate just before Christmas, when coming to the table could they please wear their mask properly, hanging on their chin barely covering their mouth and nowhere near their nose is just ridiculous. Secondly they definitely need some more training the restaurant was empty and they tried to serve all of us from one position reaching over everyone, really they should move round the table serving. All in all we enjoyed it but just improve staff training.

Came for dinner here for a family birthday meal. We booked ahead and we had a nice table at the back of the restaurant under the skylights. We were served swiftly and our drinks came out quickly. The starters and main courses were really nice and everyone had a good meal. The meerkat meal discount worked well and knocked a decent chunk off the price so can’t complain.

It’s just so average these days. Was half empty, yet they were turning people away at the door. Food was fine - but nothing more. Waitress was quite abrupt. The only lovely thing was a new young girl who was helping with our table who was polite and charming.

I was able to ring in advance and receive allergen advice on what I could eat on the menu. On arrival the waitress met and greeted me. She was extremely efficient and provided excellent service. The restaurant was full on a weekday when we left, which is credit to the great experience!

Prezzo – Used to be held highly in my view, as a more luxurious out of the Italian restaurant chains. O my how it has fallen from grace!! The décor, though nice was in ill repair – with water stains on the ceiling and a HUGE ripped seating on the banquet seating, which was really ugly, and makes me think before I’ve sat down that the restaurant doesn’t care. The menu has been significantly reduced and have removed most of the items on the menu that gave Prezzo that “boujee” feel – very little seafood, and almost all pasta dishes were tomato-based sauces. Given the reduced menu, it was surprising that the waitress wasn’t knowledgeable on what’s on it, and the service was patchy and inconsistent (possibly understaffed?). The food was shockingly bad – My take on restaurant food is that it should be better than what you can cook at home. This was not the case, my spaghetti carbonara was very dry and lacked any flavour (I would hate to think what a pasta expert would make of it!). The glass of wine I had tasted like it had come from a bottle that had been open for a long while. The whole experience was mediocre/ poor, which is really sad, since it used to an enjoyable outing to Prezzo.

My daughter lives locally, so Prezzo was always a favourite place to have dinner. It was easy to book ; we were welcomed and seated quickly and all was in order re.Covid precautions. The food is delicious. Our shared starters of hummus, flatbread and garlic bread were very tasty. The mains were also excellent ; my Goat's Cheese Penne al Forno and my daughter's Penne Arrabiatta were both excellent. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and service is very efficient. We shall be back soon!

First time ordering from restaurant delivered at home from Eltham Prezzo branch. Both pizzas were part of the two for £20 deal. Pizzas were dry and dusty with next to no sauce or cheese, and crusts were dehydrated and burnt. It was the worst pizza I've ever eaten and in fact I've had pizzas from Aldi that were ten times better. A treat we rarely have this whole meal was not worth the price tag, and unfortunately they do not respond to Uber eats complaints so just feel robbed and throat is still sore from my coughing up dry pizza base earlier.

It could be more stars. The pizza is an average standard,the real problem is to get attention from the staff. Many times you have to wait at the till with no staff around. It's better to do a customer training asap.
