Staff initially were great. But when more of us came in, they basically didn’t care. We were going to spend a lot of money on food and drinks, but staff didn’t care. Lovely atmosphere, but poor management.

Light and airy. Good ambience. Friendly and efficient staff. Enjoyable and nicely cooked food. Always a pleasure.

We were a group of 21, and asked to pre order which we did, I do appreciate that the restaurant was busy. We had to wait 45 minutes for our drinks, starters a hour

Arrived and waited for what seemed a rather long time to be acknowledged and shown to a table. Again long while before asked what drinks required. We asked for olives to be served with drinks. Drinks came no olives requested again no olives eventually arrived with staters. Overall food was good and staff pleasant but service seemed to be a bit lacking.

This is my "go to" restaurant for a "pre-show" dinner, when seeing a show at the Princess Theatre. Lovely food and great service!

The service was very poor and slow, kids meals was bought out and they had finished there before the adult meals came out half the meals came out and two waited a further 10 minutes and the other meals was going cold while waiting for the meals to arrive, most of the food was nice, the chicken burgers was not nice at all, kids puddings took about 25 minutes to come out after the meal, whole service was shocking and no one seemed fo care that no food from the starters to the deserts came out together and on top got charge 18.75 for service charge shocking for the poor service, usually love prezzo and come back again and again, but never will want to come back again cause it ruined the child birthday and whole family was upset and annoyed due to poor service and food,

Very disappointed with the service. Staff not interested didn't check if meal was ok . No cutlery in table had to ask twice . First time ever we have not tipped . Waited 10 mins to be acknowledged when arrived to be given a small table for 4 of us I asked if we could have a larger table we was shown to a different 1. Then took another 10 minutes to take order then another 25 for food to come out. Wasn't that busy alot of dirty tables not cleared. Not checked if food was ok was offered dessert menu before plates were cleared. We decline dessert as just wanted to get out. Bill after asking 3 times for it was brought over dirty plates still on table we payed and left. This is the first time I have never not tipped for service. Very disappointed we always go here when in Torquay. Food was hot but had to wait for cutlery.

Very few members of staff to serve. Lots of time waiting and we are and had our desserts served despite still having our main meal plates still on the table throughout Decent value for money with taste card but it's the second visit in 6 weeks and the service is still pretty awful from an availability perspective Was also a birthday meal which we added to the notes on the booking with 1 gluten free party member, but that wasn't acknowledged at all either.

Food was excellent, service was very slow, despite it not being very busy at the time we visited. We waited quite some time for the bill, even though the waiter knew and said I'll be there soon he just carried on laying tables. To me it would be better to serve the customer first. We also asked for our starter to come out first then the main and it all arrived together.

A very pleasant stop for lunch, a 4 being given for atmosphere which was due to it being very quiet which I suspect was just due tho the time of day we visited. A lovely building.

Food was very nice , although garlic bread a little undercooked. Was very busy as it was a promotional night , didn’t like where we were seated , right next to toilet entrance . For that reason wasn’t a very nice experience.

Helpful, friendly and polite staff with quick service. This is the second time I have visited a Prezzo recently and, once again, the free guest wi-fi was not working.

Always an easy and tasty place to go

All fine until order was taken then went downhill partners prawn starter looked raw asked for more well done came back the same, when ordering more drinks they seemed to forget so we had to ask again this happened a couple of times. We wanting to pay the bill had to ask twice. Toilet seat broken pinched leg when I sat on it, toilet was in an almost derelict state. Such a shame as we come to prezzo whenever we visit Paignton.

Took the youngest child with us for an evening out , staff were attentive throughout . Unfortunately while my pasta tasted great the pasta itself was just about warm by the time it got to the table . The side orders were tiny though and for £5 a piece it was disappointing and less than you would get in a macdonalds meal Plus side daughter won against the server in Rock, papers , scissors and won a dessert on 241.

Great meal, very tasty and good value for money but most of all, Tanzin, our Waitress was brilliant. First class service and nothing too much trouble. Will return again soon 😊

BBQ chicken pizza was fine if a bit bland. Hot chocolate fudge cake was meant to have vanilla ice cream but for some reason they had run out despite it only being early evening so had to settle for chocolate instead. Tasted too sweet. Service a bit haphazard: asked to see the dessert menu and the guy initially pointed me to the drinks menu. Overall Prezzo just seems to lack authenticity.

Overall all was good but sat close to the door and to be honest was a bit drafty

But 25 minutes after arriving and no-one coming to take our order or a drinks order we actually googled whether or not it was table service or we had to go to the bar to order.. the young people bringing food out and clearing tables were OK and tried to make an effort on their own initiative. But the manager/superviser looking people need some direction

Great experience and food quickly served

As a Gluten Free diner I found a varied selection to pick from except the desserts, one or nothing, but at least there was one. Knowledge of the staff taking orders could be improved, especially knowing there is no actual gluten in the making of vanilla ice cream. But apart from that the staff were polite. Atmosphere, I believe, is what you make it yourself, though there was another group celebrating a birthday so we joined in with the Happy Birthday 🎊 Granddaughter enjoys this Torquay restaurant and it was her pick to celebrate her birthday. Thank you for accommodating my daughter with the decorating of the table.

New year's eve pre drinking meal, service good food tasty and hot in nice building and ambience.

Food was mediocre. Service terrible. Forgot my 3 years old fries. Had to wait extra 10 mins for them. Aksed for a glass of water. It never turned up. Had to go to the bar to ask again. After our meal waited 15 mins for someone come and take our plates and give us our deserts. Decided to go to the bar yet again to cancel deserts amd get the bill. Bill came. The waitress said she she would go and get a card machine. Waited another 10 minutes and she was now just arranging chairs and setting tables at the other side of the resteraunt. Went to bar for a 3rd time now to go and pay my bill. Resteraunt wasn't even half full. Not busy but terrible service. I won't be coming back in a hurry.

Mother’s Day. Most restaurants celebrate mums with a glass of fizz…small chocolate or maybe even a desert. Not Prezzo. They mark this day with a boring set menu, miserable staff (all except one) and an extortionate £8 for a 125ml glass of Prosecco!! Then have the absolute bare cheek to add £20 to the bill for a service charge! A long drawn out lunch in a quiet restaurant mainly due to bored looking staff wandering around with zero interest in the paying customers. When I asked after 20 minutes of waiting if there was any chance our empty starter dishes could be taken away I got the look of death from the waitress. Like I was the inconvenience! Naturally the £20 service charge was removed upon our request but it was treated like they were doing us a favour 🤦‍♀️ And the bill was still £200. Uninspiring, mediocre food. Bored, borderline rude staff. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else that deserves your custom and your tip.

We didn’t actually get to eat at Prezzo Torquay—though we did get the full dining room furniture shuffle experience. The location is spot on, and the restaurant itself looks great—stylish, welcoming, and promising. Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match the décor. There were four of us, but we were seated at a table clearly designed for two people who really like each other. We asked if we could move to something more suitable (like a table that could hold four plates), and someone did eventually come over—but not to help us. They just needed our tiny table for someone else. So off we shuffled again, but still not to a bigger table. Meanwhile, the staff were locked in an intense game of table Tetris, and taking orders didn’t seem to be on the menu. After a while of sitting with no space and no service, we decided to cut our losses and leave. A shame really—lovely setting, tasty-looking menu, but the only thing we got served was mild disappointment.

Lovely food! Great options for vegan. It was very quiet , and the wait time for food wasn’t the best. Over an hour for a starter, and then another 30 mins for food. The food made up for the wait tho :)

Booked a table on-line and when we turned up we were given a really good table. Staff are very good, good was excellent as was the wine.

The food was really good, but I guess what I liked the most was the service. We had dinner on a late Friday evening, like after 9pm, which means people had been probably working for a few hours by that point. Still they were very welcoming and kind to us, from start to finish. A big thank to the people working there! Will be coming back when visiting Torquay again.

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the manager, Yeliz, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The pizza was absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, a perfect crispy-yet-chewy crust, and a great balance of flavors. What really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and Yeliz personally checked on us to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to see such dedication and passion in the restaurant industry these days, and it made our visit extra special. We dined at Prezzo Torquay Wednesday 5th March before attending the theatre, Richard our server was extremely friendly, polite and very attentive. He had great local knowledge and provided great recommendations.

We had a lovely meal and cocktails and was served by Richard who was fab 😁

Richard at Prezzo Torquay was brilliant — warm, full of personality, and always attentive. The food was delicious; we’ve tried a few dishes now, from the calzone and pesto gnocchi to the grand pizza, and everything has been spot on. The Montepulciano was the perfect complement to the meal too and decent value with promo offers via the newsletter. Thanks for looking after us! 👌🏻

Went for the £7.99 lunch panini and soup . As I wanted ham n cheese it was extra £1 so £8.99 Soup was nice , fresh tasting . One worker doing everything ( 17 people were seated ) She was working v hard no one else in sight . Food took 25 mins . Issue for me was price of a drink . £9 glass wine(175 ml) £4.50 half draught poretti . So won’t visit again sadly .

Hiya, myself and my girlfriend a dinner reservation for 8:30pm at your establishment on Friday evening. We ordered drinks starters, mains and dessert all together with our waiter in the hopes it would be easier and quicker than ordering them all separately. First issue was that the starters came out after waiting approximately 40-50 minutes, the starter came out before any drinks, We wasn’t even offered any water. The mains and drinks then came out another hour later. We then patiently waited for a while for our dessert which never arrived at that point we had got up and just asked for the bill at the bar because the night was getting on and we had reservations else where too. When we did go to the bar we asked about the desserts and how much longer they would be, we was told that the kitchen was closed and no longer serving. If we hadn’t asked we would’ve been sat there mindlessly waiting for god knows how long. With no understanding that we wasn’t even going to receive them. I am very upset with the poor service and waiting time, I understand that it was a busy night but I feel that waiting 2.30hours+ was very disappointing.

Lovely good food, all was perfect even if the waiting staff seemed a bit stressed and rushed off their feet. :)

We had my wife’s birthday meal at Prezzo Restaurant in Torquay , at the entrance we meet this lovely and smiley lady Yeliz, show our table. Service was excellent and very friendly, we didn’t feel pressured between the course, dining was very relaxed and enjoyable. Restaurant was very busy but still have excellent service, Food was so delicious I want to order for my self second plate 😃 instead have a Tramisu to finish my meal . Service and meals are was faultless . I highly recommend this restaurant. Great place to have fine dining. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you, keep up the good work.

It was a busy evening at prezzo Torquay tonight but the waitress that made our trip most pleasant was ‘Laura’ (If I remember correctly). She was a lovely lady with blonde hair and glasses. In which I asked for a recommendation and it was by far the best decision to follow this recommendation. She was pleasant to speak to and smiled the whole way through her shift. It was busy and a lot of the waitresses and waiters did seem flustered. But Laura handled the busy restaurant really well as she kept a very professional face on and a smile each time she came over to our table. Her customer service was excellent. And I hope she gets a lot of praise as it’s the kind of customer service a lot of places are missing from their restaurants these days. Such a wonderful waitress!

We have eaten here a few times whilst visiting Torquay. Food was absolutely lovely, staff friendly welcoming. Service was very quick. Beautiful building inside. We did order a takeaway through just eat one evening which i would not recommend. The delivery lady stole half our food, just eat were extremely unhelpful. However the general manager was absolutely amazing she was so helpful to sort this out for us. We really appreciate it and will certainly be back next time we visit Torquay

Advertised offer on Uber Eats, and I thought I was getting a good deal. Scheduled delivery and saw the delivery driver change 8 times on the app and then an hour and half after the Scheduled delivery they cancelled my order at 9pm on Valentines day evening, too late then to get anything else ordered. Poor service and ruined my evening.

Booked for a meal out with a group of friends. Hassled constantly y email about preordering food or the booking would be cancelled. All preordered food in advance. Arrive on the night and there's no heating. Initial drinks order was swift, no issues there. Our food had apparently not been preordered, despite it clearly showing on my booking. Then took over an hour to come out. Service after the initial order was poor, we had to keep chasing down wait staff. Entire service tonight was shocking for a well known chain

We had a lovely meal at Prezzo Torquay. Laura our waitress was a lovely smiley friendly lady who was very helpful and attentive. The food arrived very quickly and was piping hot, good sized portions and was very tasty. We always eat here when visiting Torquay. We would highly recommend.

When hospitality is struggling so badly, it is baffling that every effort would not be made to make every dining experience as positive as possible. Sadly, at Prezzo in Torquay, our table of 4 felt like we were completely unwelcome and staff just wanted us out as quickly as possible. We were seated at 8pm and the advertised closing time was 11pm. However, the he second I had finished my main course, my plate was whipped away and then the same with the next two diners. My partner is a slow eater and still had two slices of pizza left when one waiter came over and asked if we would like the dessert menu. We declined as my partner was still eating, but the second that last slice was finished, again the plate was whipped away and the dessert menu offered. We ordered another bottle of wine and wanted to take our time to let our mains settle before ordering dessert. We eventually had to ask if they were still serving dessert, as so much clearing up and packing away of bar and restaurant items it just felt like we wouldn’t be surprised if the kitchen had closed. We did manage to get dessert but they brought our bill over and turned off the lights in half the restaurant whilst we were still eating. It just made the whole experience feel very tense and not enjoyable in any way. It was a Friday night on a payday, and we intended to spend a reasonable amount but just felt so rushed. Despite the published closing time being 11pm, we were told at 10.20 that they were closing in 10 minutes and we had to ask if it was ok to finish the half bottle of wine we had left before they kicked us out. Really poor service overall and only half decent food. Sadly made us all not want to go back there again.

Beautiful building and ambience. Very friendly and helpful staff. We always much enjoy Prezzo Torquay and make a point of introducing others we know to the same experience. The deals offered help to overcome what would otherwise make eating out prohibitively expensive in these day of ever-rising living costs.

Restaurant cold, had buy a gift voucher made to feel like we weren’t welcome! Staff attitude was rude and unprofessional. Would not return!

Had a lovely meal tonight at Prezzo Torquay. It was a Blue Monday , and my husband and I had pizzas. They were delicious, we are becoming regular diners here!!

Ten of us visited for a 40th birthday.. arrived on time 5.30 pm..was not overly busy at this time..took almost 30 mins to take our drinks order..waiter was very abrupt..rude and arrogant..after drinks arrived took our food order.. starters came out quite quick and overall were quite nice but then had to wait almost an hour for our mains being told "you can see how busy we are".mains arrived... spaghetti Bolognese was cold...carbonara dry as a desert.. lasagne no taste..salmon pasta actually looked like it was tuna and not salmon..and an £18.50 chicken burger was disgusting..pizza were ok ..I am not normally one to use trip advisor but when you receive a bill for £320 you would have expected better service and definitely better food..will not be returning

I took the offer for the 99p blue Monday deal. Not much choice but my pasta was lovely, not a massive portion,not sure if full price is the same size .But come on the drinks are extortionate over £8 for the tiniest glass of wine 🍷 125ml it hardly showed in the glass.So for that reason I didn't give 5 stars

It was lovely to dine at lunchtime and the atmosphere was buzzing! Food was excellent as always and staff were extremely friendly. What a shame I have to wait until next years blue Monday. It would be amazing to have a monthly 99p deal.
