Mother’s Day. Most restaurants celebrate mums with a glass of fizz…small chocolate or maybe even a desert. Not Prezzo. They mark this day with a boring set menu, miserable staff (all except one) and an extortionate £8 for a 125ml glass of Prosecco!! Then have the absolute bare cheek to add £20 to the bill for a service charge! A long drawn out lunch in a quiet restaurant mainly due to bored looking staff wandering around with zero interest in the paying customers. When I asked after 20 minutes of waiting if there was any chance our empty starter dishes could be taken away I got the look of death from the waitress. Like I was the inconvenience! Naturally the £20 service charge was removed upon our request but it was treated like they were doing us a favour 🤦‍♀️ And the bill was still £200. Uninspiring, mediocre food. Bored, borderline rude staff. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else that deserves your custom and your tip.

Lovely evening on our anniversary. Food very tasty and cooked just right and the house wine was just to our taste. Nice polite staff

We didn’t actually get to eat at Prezzo Torquay—though we did get the full dining room furniture shuffle experience. The location is spot on, and the restaurant itself looks great—stylish, welcoming, and promising. Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match the décor. There were four of us, but we were seated at a table clearly designed for two people who really like each other. We asked if we could move to something more suitable (like a table that could hold four plates), and someone did eventually come over—but not to help us. They just needed our tiny table for someone else. So off we shuffled again, but still not to a bigger table. Meanwhile, the staff were locked in an intense game of table Tetris, and taking orders didn’t seem to be on the menu. After a while of sitting with no space and no service, we decided to cut our losses and leave. A shame really—lovely setting, tasty-looking menu, but the only thing we got served was mild disappointment.

Lovely food! Great options for vegan. It was very quiet , and the wait time for food wasn’t the best. Over an hour for a starter, and then another 30 mins for food. The food made up for the wait tho :)

Fast service , Nice management and tasty foods

Booked a table on-line and when we turned up we were given a really good table. Staff are very good, good was excellent as was the wine.

The food was really good, but I guess what I liked the most was the service. We had dinner on a late Friday evening, like after 9pm, which means people had been probably working for a few hours by that point. Still they were very welcoming and kind to us, from start to finish. A big thank to the people working there! Will be coming back when visiting Torquay again.

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the manager, Yeliz, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The pizza was absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, a perfect crispy-yet-chewy crust, and a great balance of flavors. What really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and Yeliz personally checked on us to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to see such dedication and passion in the restaurant industry these days, and it made our visit extra special. If you’re looking for the best pizza in town with top-notch service, this is the place to go! Highly recommend, and we will definitely be coming back!

We dined at Prezzo Torquay Wednesday 5th March before attending the theatre, Richard our server was extremely friendly, polite and very attentive. He had great local knowledge and provided great recommendations.

Great food and staff in this restaurant and the manager here was superb nothing was too much truble for her, I would recomend this establishment and staff to anyone thank you for a lovely experience

Love their Torquay brach, never disappoints! Food and service with a smile, they really make you feel welcome, and their Carbonara! A must!

Went for the £7.99 lunch panini and soup . As I wanted ham n cheese it was extra £1 so £8.99 Soup was nice , fresh tasting . One worker doing everything ( 17 people were seated ) She was working v hard no one else in sight . Food took 25 mins . Issue for me was price of a drink . £9 glass wine(175 ml) £4.50 half draught poretti . So won’t visit again sadly .

Richard at Prezzo Torquay was brilliant — warm, full of personality, and always attentive. The food was delicious; we’ve tried a few dishes now, from the calzone and pesto gnocchi to the grand pizza, and everything has been spot on. The Montepulciano was the perfect complement to the meal too and decent value with promo offers via the newsletter. Thanks for looking after us! 👌🏻

Hiya, myself and my girlfriend a dinner reservation for 8:30pm at your establishment on Friday evening. We ordered drinks starters, mains and dessert all together with our waiter in the hopes it would be easier and quicker than ordering them all separately. First issue was that the starters came out after waiting approximately 40-50 minutes, the starter came out before any drinks, We wasn’t even offered any water. The mains and drinks then came out another hour later. We then patiently waited for a while for our dessert which never arrived at that point we had got up and just asked for the bill at the bar because the night was getting on and we had reservations else where too. When we did go to the bar we asked about the desserts and how much longer they would be, we was told that the kitchen was closed and no longer serving. If we hadn’t asked we would’ve been sat there mindlessly waiting for god knows how long. With no understanding that we wasn’t even going to receive them. I am very upset with the poor service and waiting time, I understand that it was a busy night but I feel that waiting 2.30hours+ was very disappointing.

Lovely good food, all was perfect even if the waiting staff seemed a bit stressed and rushed off their feet. :)

We had my wife’s birthday meal at Prezzo Restaurant in Torquay , at the entrance we meet this lovely and smiley lady Yeliz, show our table. Service was excellent and very friendly, we didn’t feel pressured between the course, dining was very relaxed and enjoyable. Restaurant was very busy but still have excellent service, Food was so delicious I want to order for my self second plate 😃 instead have a Tramisu to finish my meal . Service and meals are was faultless . I highly recommend this restaurant. Great place to have fine dining. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you, keep up the good work.

It was a busy evening at prezzo Torquay tonight but the waitress that made our trip most pleasant was ‘Laura’ (If I remember correctly). She was a lovely lady with blonde hair and glasses. In which I asked for a recommendation and it was by far the best decision to follow this recommendation. She was pleasant to speak to and smiled the whole way through her shift. It was busy and a lot of the waitresses and waiters did seem flustered. But Laura handled the busy restaurant really well as she kept a very professional face on and a smile each time she came over to our table. Her customer service was excellent. And I hope she gets a lot of praise as it’s the kind of customer service a lot of places are missing from their restaurants these days. Such a wonderful waitress!

We have eaten here a few times whilst visiting Torquay. Food was absolutely lovely, staff friendly welcoming. Service was very quick. Beautiful building inside. We did order a takeaway through just eat one evening which i would not recommend. The delivery lady stole half our food, just eat were extremely unhelpful. However the general manager was absolutely amazing she was so helpful to sort this out for us. We really appreciate it and will certainly be back next time we visit Torquay

Advertised offer on Uber Eats, and I thought I was getting a good deal. Scheduled delivery and saw the delivery driver change 8 times on the app and then an hour and half after the Scheduled delivery they cancelled my order at 9pm on Valentines day evening, too late then to get anything else ordered. Poor service and ruined my evening.

Booked for a meal out with a group of friends. Hassled constantly y email about preordering food or the booking would be cancelled. All preordered food in advance. Arrive on the night and there's no heating. Initial drinks order was swift, no issues there. Our food had apparently not been preordered, despite it clearly showing on my booking. Then took over an hour to come out. Service after the initial order was poor, we had to keep chasing down wait staff. Entire service tonight was shocking for a well known chain

When hospitality is struggling so badly, it is baffling that every effort would not be made to make every dining experience as positive as possible. Sadly, at Prezzo in Torquay, our table of 4 felt like we were completely unwelcome and staff just wanted us out as quickly as possible. We were seated at 8pm and the advertised closing time was 11pm. However, the he second I had finished my main course, my plate was whipped away and then the same with the next two diners. My partner is a slow eater and still had two slices of pizza left when one waiter came over and asked if we would like the dessert menu. We declined as my partner was still eating, but the second that last slice was finished, again the plate was whipped away and the dessert menu offered. We ordered another bottle of wine and wanted to take our time to let our mains settle before ordering dessert. We eventually had to ask if they were still serving dessert, as so much clearing up and packing away of bar and restaurant items it just felt like we wouldn’t be surprised if the kitchen had closed. We did manage to get dessert but they brought our bill over and turned off the lights in half the restaurant whilst we were still eating. It just made the whole experience feel very tense and not enjoyable in any way. It was a Friday night on a payday, and we intended to spend a reasonable amount but just felt so rushed. Despite the published closing time being 11pm, we were told at 10.20 that they were closing in 10 minutes and we had to ask if it was ok to finish the half bottle of wine we had left before they kicked us out. Really poor service overall and only half decent food. Sadly made us all not want to go back there again.

We had a lovely meal at Prezzo Torquay. Laura our waitress was a lovely smiley friendly lady who was very helpful and attentive. The food arrived very quickly and was piping hot, good sized portions and was very tasty. We always eat here when visiting Torquay. We would highly recommend.

The deals offered help to overcome what would otherwise make eating out prohibitively expensive in these day of ever-rising living costs.

Restaurant cold, had buy a gift voucher made to feel like we weren’t welcome! Staff attitude was rude and unprofessional. Would not return!

Had a lovely meal tonight at Prezzo Torquay. It was a Blue Monday , and my husband and I had pizzas. They were delicious, we are becoming regular diners here!!

Ten of us visited for a 40th birthday.. arrived on time 5.30 pm..was not overly busy at this time..took almost 30 mins to take our drinks order..waiter was very abrupt..rude and arrogant..after drinks arrived took our food order.. starters came out quite quick and overall were quite nice but then had to wait almost an hour for our mains being told "you can see how busy we are".mains arrived... spaghetti Bolognese was cold...carbonara dry as a desert.. lasagne no taste..salmon pasta actually looked like it was tuna and not salmon..and an £18.50 chicken burger was disgusting..pizza were ok ..I am not normally one to use trip advisor but when you receive a bill for £320 you would have expected better service and definitely better food..will not be returning

Not much choice but my pasta was lovely, not a massive portion,not sure if full price is the same size .But come on the drinks are extortionate over £8 for the tiniest glass of wine 🍷 125ml it hardly showed in the glass.So for that reason I didn't give 5 stars

I been there a year ago, and decided to come with my mum for lunch today. It was very nice and quiet at lunchtime, staff are very friendly and helpful, but the most important the food delicious 😋 especially tiramisu ❤️

The restaurant is an old Lloyds bank and looks amazing inside. The service was great and the food excellent thank you Prezzo. The only issue is the narrow stairs to the toilets but an excellent meal

Pre-booked and came here Friday 27th December. Our waiter who took the order was very friendly but the service after that was very disappointing. Not informed on ordering that it would be over an hour wait for food (we wouldn't have stayed if we knew) we had 2 young children with us so waiting so long wasn't ideal! The kids meals were brought out forgetting (I assume) the starter, which later on flagging down a staff member got brought out just as we were all ending our mains. Food was good, can't fault that but definitely better service and communication needed!

We had a lovely meal at Prezzo Torquay last evening to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary and my 75th birthday. The atmosphere was great. It was very busy but we didn't wait long for our food between courses and didn't feel rushed at all. The food, when it came, was perfect. The complimentary bottle of prosecco for my birthday was an added bonus, for which we were very grateful. Thank you, and we thoroughly recommend.

We visited Prezzo in Torquay on Saturday night with the family, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was amazing as always. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service. Despite being a busy Saturday evening, the staff remained cheerful, attentive, and incredibly helpful. It was clear they were working hard, but they never let it show. Their positive attitude and friendly smiles made the whole evening even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the whole experience felt relaxed yet special. It’s rare to find a restaurant that nails both food and service, but Prezzo in Torquay did just that. We’ll definitely be back soon! Highly recommended for families, friends, or anyone looking for a great meal with outstanding service.

Had a lovely 40th birthday meal for my wife. Food was superb hot and fresh. Staff were great and helpful. Would recommend this prezzo and the portion size was good. Could be more chips though for the price you pay for them but really can’t complain

I went to Prezzo for my 21st birthday Dinner, it was such a lovely experience! All staff are friendly and efficient, especially our Waiter Richard, Waitress Rose and Gary the Manager. They completed the night with great service and the food coincided :)

Went here on a Friday evening for a bite to eat. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the building is wonderful. Unfortunately the service was slow waited a long time for the main course to arrive we did get an apology for the wait. The meun is very similar to zizzi but unfortunately not as well priced it seems a little expensive for what we got. The food was also just ok nothing special.

We pre-booked as a table of 11, 6 adults and 5 children. At the point we sat down the restaurant only had 2 other small tables seated. After a while we had our drinks orders taken followed by food. It took over a hour for food to be served, a challenge with little ones. There was a lack of warmth and engagement when interacting with the staff. The food itself was 👌. I can recommend the chicken spaghetti carbonara and my wife enjoyed her pepperoni pizza. The children had a 3 course menu; garlic bread for starters, margarita pizza and then gelato / sorbet. As a group on two occasions we hd to ask for some of the groups food it appeared to have been forgotten (children’s main and two children’s deserts) Great value for money as the total bill was just over £150 as we were VERY lucky to be able to use a blue light discount - 20% off the total food bill and free children’s meal with every adult eating. So worth checking if anyone had a blue light card. In summary, great tasting food and value for money with use of the blue light card, however lacking in customer service as above.

We decided to go to Prezzo for a quick and easy dinner as you usually know what you’re going to get but unfortunately we chose the wrong night due to a number of failures. The staff member who met us when we walked in asked us where we’d like to sit & as there were only about 5 tables in use we pointed to a spare table along the wall of the restaurant to be away from the main crowd of tables in use more in the centre but just as we were sitting down the manager on duty came over and told the waitress that she couldn’t sit us there without giving a reason and told her to re-seat us more in the centre, we didn’t say anything but did what was asked. Next our drinks came out which was a glass of wine and bottle of cider with a glass, when I took a sip of my cider there was a rancid smell that came from inside the glass I’d put my cider in, I knew this wasn’t it’s usual smell as have had the same cider before, it was un-drinkable so asked for a new glass which they were happy to do and bought a new bottle of cider with it too. My wife took a sip of her glass of wine but around the outside of her glass there was a small bogey/silicone type ball on the outside of the glass, again we complained and she got a new glass of wine. Whilst we were waiting for our food a staff member appeared from the kitchen and proceeded to walk through the restaurant with a plunger towards the toilets and then a while later reappeared from the toilets walking through the restaurant holding the plunger going back into the kitchen with it, luckily we weren’t close enough to notice if it smelt like it could have been put to use but very off putting. Towards the end of our visit the manager on duty was having a heated conversation with one of her staff members where it seemed like she was telling them off but this was in front of the whole restaurant by the till and was loud enough for us to look across even though we were a few tables away, this should have been done in a more private setting 1 to stop the embarrassment for the staff member and 2 for customers to not hear this whilst trying to enjoy their evening. The food as always was standard, no complaints as was as expected, just all the other things this night put a downer on the whole evening.

Good location, pleasant atmosphere, but smallish portions for the prices eg the ceasar salad, a bit dry, only had three wee bits of chicken and no croutons. That said, service was pretty good, and the student discount was generous.

Horrible experience. We had an offer using the UNiDAYS app, £10 for unlimited pizza and a group of 11 of us utilised the deal. Expecting a bill or £110(plus tip and drinks) we were shocked to see a bill of £670. After negotiation and a bit of arguing we were able to lower it to £240. Keep in mind we ordered only one or two drinks that weren’t tap water. We have complained to prezzo and not had a response yet. Not to mention, the food made one of us sick and puke in the restaurant bathrooms, on top of lacklustre taste. Never coming back and lost a lot of money in the process that we are hoping to get back.

Absolute joke, as a student who is struggling for money and requires cheap, good deals to eat out. I was told that I would have unlimited pizza for 10 pounds from prezzos and when I went there, I was informed after my meal that it was ten pounds per pizza which was a complete lie. The staff tried to say that our order was 650 pounds which was obviously a lie but he forced us to pay and I am writing this review currently to inform anyone thinking about going to prezzos to not do so as it is a corrupt and scandalous company whose business practices aim to target and scam their customers. Disgraceful 1/5.

They forgot our food firstly got annoyed and gave us free food to make up for it but we weren’t hungry then. They are so rude don’t ask if u want sauce and forgot most of our main courses. The environment was ok the toilets could do with a new sink bc it was cracked. The service is rubbish they don’t give the drinks at all even if u ask !

Took us 20 minutes to get our drinks that we ordered & this was after having to ask were our drinks was when they came out with our starters. I ordered salmon & it wasn’t fresh it was out of a tin. My husband ordered brochette which was so hard couldn’t cut it was sliced tomatoes not little roasted cherry tomatoes on it. For mains my husband ordered crab & lobster ravioli. Ravioli was so hard like it had been batch cooked then put in freezer for a later time. Told the waiter about our experience only to be replied with well at least it’s edible !!!!. We always like to go here when we holiday in Torquay but definitely won’t be going back next year . Definitely gone down hill since we visited last year .

Came here whilst on our short trip to Torquay. Friendly staff served us whilst we dined here. We ordered calamari & garlic bread with cheese and caramelised onions, however they brought out just a normal garlic bread and had to wait just over 5 / 10minutes for the right garlic bread by this time we had finished the calamari. Moving on, my partner had the smoky Tre Carni Pinsa and I had the crab and lobster ravioli both which was absolutely delicious and would definitely have both of these dishes again! Overall a lovely meal!

Had a lovely meal here last week. Great food, good choice. Lovely staff. My only criticism is ‘very loud’. Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful building but inside, the ceiling is so high, the noise echos. There were a few young families and it had a canteen feel about it. Saying that I’d go back but maybe a little later in the evening.

Pressing is a very nice Italian restaurant. Ambiance is great, very friendly staff, great service. They had few vegan options, vegan pepperoni pizza was amazing, vegan Speghati bolognaise was a bit less in portion. Overall a nice place for date night or family get together .

This is our go to place in Torquay. Beautiful restaurant, greated with a friendly smile from Gary, who was extremely attentive. The service was very fast and the food was scrumptious. We have a coeliac in the family and we know it’s 100% safe which means a lot when away from home. Lovely dinner.10/10 from us!

We were immediately struck by such a warm welcome that we got from Mehran which set the theme for the whole evening. We loved everything about the restaurant from the superb décor, fabulous food and super-friendly service. Mehran could not have done more to make our stay memorable, in particular noticing it was one of the group’s birthday, so it was really kind of him and much appreciated that he went out of his way to sort a small surprise for him.

We loved everything about the restaurant from the superb décor, fabulous food and super-friendly service. Mehran could not have done more to make our stay memorable, in particular noticing it was one of the group’s birthday, so it was really kind of him and much appreciated that he went out of his way to sort a small surprise for him. Thank you so much.

Visited Torquay on Friday 9th August. On their website kids are free if you signed up and got a code. Food was delicious, hot and fresh. The service was so good with checking in with us and requesting our food to come out quicker as we had 2 small children. I would recommend eating here.

Had some good pizza here. The decor of this place is just outstanding and very beautiful. At night the place seems very dark but, I know that's the restaurant atmosphere.

Well over priced for what you get... not great service very under staffed used to be a great place to eat but gone massively down hill cost £7.50 for a pint and the glass was 3 quarters full and a 3rd full of froth!!

Told we have to sit outside with 2 young children. 90 minutes later and still waiting for food, when it eventually arrived it was cold and extremely average. Women's toilets broken, they are having to use the mens. I wouldn't recommend to anyone

Great meal, son particularly loved the giant garlic pizza bread. Tables nicely spaced apart with plenty of room, waiting staff very busy but still extremely attentive and helpful, especially Gary. Removed the things from dishes we don't like too, like basil and peppers. Used Tesco club card points too, a bonus.

We ordered 2 pastas and garlic bread , the pasta came but not the garlic bread - when the garlic bread came it didn’t have any garlic it was just plain bread by then we finished eating. The food is ok - nothing special the waitress was nice.nothing really special about the place

Visited here tonight as a family of seven. The food was very nice and well cooked. Calum was very nice and the service was much better when he came on. The only reason for my 4 star is that children drinks very small and watered down for the cost of them.

Service is poor we waited 20minutes for our plates to be cleared in the end we asked the staff who were stood behind the bar chatting to clear our plates and asked if we could order deserts, our waiter came over asked what we would like, when we hadn’t even been presented with the dessert menu, another 20 minutes we are still waiting, the people next to us are also getting frustrated. Ginven up on deserts, not sure how long we will have to wait for the bill.

Was pleased to be able to visit a Prezzo whilst staying in Torquay, but had a very disappointing visit. Service was extremely slow. We sat and watched our drinks on the bar for 10 mins before they were finally brought over to us. When our main courses were brought over to us the waitress had got my husbands order wrong. When we questioned it the waitress told us it could be another 10 mins before a replacement was brought out. My husband then enquired what would happen to my dish as I had already started mine. Her response was 'Well what do you want me to do then?' We asked to speak to a manager, who thankfully understood our issue, and was very apologetic, and told us that they were very short staffed, but other diners who walked in the same time as us were leaving by the time we had our main course. It took 1 hr and 50 mins for a starter and main course. We were given 50% off our bill, and we're offered a complimentary dessert, but declined as we did not want to prolong the experience any further. Food, thankfully was hot and tasty.
