We went with family to celebrate my sons 12th birthday, the food was outstanding, Bernadette and another young lady was serving us, they were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, highly recommend for a wonderful family celebration.

Popped in here today around 1:30 for a light lunch....tucked away on Friars Walk, inside it's certainly a fine looking restaurant and bar....an understated contemporary feel maybe....a little minimalist.... perhaps with a hint of creamy art deco(!)....I ordered the chicken pizza followed by the chocolate gelato....both were very good....I washed them down with a couple of continental lager beers and a glass of trebbiano....the pizza was certainly a man sized portion....it was a fine lunch....however it was the service that really stood out for me....the two young ladies serving and doubling as maitre d were excellent.... professional courteous friendly and helpful....it certainly seems to come as a surprise sometimes when one comes across good service in the UK.... particularly outside of the capital perhaps imao....they really looked and acted the part!....Sofiia especially was delightful!....anyways....from this experience I certainly intend to return and would unreservedly recommend....

We orders and we didn’t receive food until about an hour and half after we ordered, food cold, pizza hard, not very nice and not cut

Felt a bit rushed to order food, although everything we ordered was great just need to allow people more time to read the menu and choose.

This was absolutely awful. If I could give zero stars, I would. The Margherita pizza arrived cold with a single sad, rotten piece of basil. The chicken and pepper pizza had a pathetic 3 pieces of chicken and 3 peppers, might as well have been plain dough. The calamari was disgustingly oily and didn’t even come with a dip. Everything was ice cold, like it was just pulled from a freezer. Honestly, even a cheap frozen pizza from Lidl would’ve been 10 times better. Never wasting my money here again.

2 hours late and turned up freezing cold

Back in Newport, a multiculteral city I am falling in love with. How would I describe Prezzo Newport in Newport City. Simple. Think of an oyster covered in scale,barnicles and salty sea waste. Scrub it off, Open it up and you reveal a succulent mussel sat on a mother of pearl shell-bed and if your lucky, a pearl! "Prezzo Newport"! My host/waitress Sophie was helpfull,interactive and attentitive. She made me feel welcome unrushed and at home. Front of house allowed the restauraunt to flow and run itself and more importantly let the staff do their thing and was confident in her staff and abuility. "Very confident and very compitent". I always like to speak and thank the chef's, "its the reason its an open Kitchen" I am a foodie and love cooks and chef's. Thank you. One picture/phote and my reason for Visiting Newport and Prezzo restauraunt "Lemon Meringue pie". I love Lemons!! "Oh yes" The "mint" on the plate was slightly crushed/bruised allowing the aroma, the essence of the mint to rise up off the plate exciting the Pallet before you actually taste. Very classy and very skillfully executed. Thank you!!!! I will be back. Simon.

Franchement pas la meilleure expérience de pâtes que j'ai mangé. Nous avons une franchise en France qui s'appelle Del'arte et c'était pareil moyen. Pas des pâtes avec goût , on dirait que c'est fait comme chez vous à l'arrache et pas de goût.

We came here for a Christmas get together, and had the bottomless brunch. Cocktails are stunning, and the pizzas were excellent. Staff were lovely. Defo go check out prezzo if you haven't in already as it's a gem! Staff are a credit to the company. Food is always good here and the drinks are excellent

Chocolate cake had no mascarpone so didn’t want it. Normally it’s this that makes it worth while. Would liked to have returned it.

We had a fabulous bottomless brunch. We had cocktails and pizza. Could not fault the service. Friendly staff. Didn't need to ask for our next drink, they were waiting to take the order. Would highly recommend. Will definitely return.

I ordered £31 worth of food and a chicken salad was the only thing they delivered. I didn’t even order this. I called 3 times to speak to someone and no one answered the phones. Don’t use prezzo!

The restaurant situated in the shopping centre in Newport from the outside it looks quite small but once you get inside it’s very spacious. We ended up Saturday lunchtime and had a beautiful meal. The staff welcomed us really well and showed this to a lovely pleasant table where the seating was very comfortable. The menu has changed significantly since we were here last and it was such a decision to try and choose what we wanted. I went for the mozzarella as a starter and the calzone as a main it was so tasty the desert a Biscoff cheesecake was something else.

Awful. It's hard to believe that the kitchen was preparing dishes in accordance with corporate guidelines. Sweetheart cabbage was a single hunk of the vegetable dropped onto a plate of other oddly prepared items. Service was terse but did respond to my adverse commentary by replacing my dish with another nearly as bad which redefined bruschetta in another non-conformist offering. With those experiences behind me, I should not have ordered affogato - which was brought with the coffee aleady poured over low quality ice cream. No wonder the place was not busy.

This is the best place in Newport and the best Prezzo I have been so far . This is the second review I do about this place. I’ve been here so many times and never disappointed. The staff are amazing the cleanliness, the service & the professionalism are top…. Special mention to Renata: five star service & the whole team work at their best …. They give you the best service you can expect anywhere … please don’t ever close this restaurant. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ah and the best calamari 🤌🤌🤌

Prezzo’s in Newport is in a good locution easy access to car park, bus station and town centre. Very clean, very friendly staff. Food was ok, nothing special. Our meals were obviously pre-prepared, just due to the speed of service, and being piping hot, possibly microwaved? A bit expensive unless you’re lucky enough to have a discount voucher.

Visited on a off chance as had a appointment in Newport, I used to love prezzo as a teenager as it made you feel all grown up and posh It’s still great too, we used a taste card so it was 2 for 1 which sometimes means the food might be a bit naff but here I would happily pay full price. We both had a pizza, standard and gluten free and usually gluten free things are a bit crap but the base here was really really good, I tried a slice and if you didn’t compare side by side with a standard pizza I don’t think you could tell. Had a wonderful lemon tart desert too. Staff were all great, the place is nicely finished and I would certainly return if I had to go to Newport again.

Visited for my daughter’s birthday, the food was freshly cooked and tasted amazing, we were served by Bernadette her service was fantastic nothing was too much trouble and was so helpful, she is a credit to the restaurant!!! Thank you

Great service, very professional and fast. The food was amazing! And the decor is lovely. I have been here with friends and with family and it’s my favourite place to eat.

So late and such a long delivery wait

Popped in for lunch on a whim on Sunday. Greeted warmly and shown to my seat. Had a lovely pinot spritzer, followed by the antipasto plate, which was delicious. Seriously so good, I really recommend you try this when you go! Had a gorgonzola and prosciutto pizza, which was stunning. The basic pizza was delicious, and the gorgonzola was so creamy and intense. Defo recommend this pizza. Also had a shandy. Prezzo is like so underrated I feel in newport, but it's so good, never had a bad exerpeirnce

I don't usually complain when ordering food but the pizza is cold and the chips are cold and wet. Very disappointed! Reheat the pizza and throw away the chips

My son took me here on the off chance as he'd forgotten to book anywhere for Father's Day. Fairplay they squeezed us in and we were very thankful for that. I had the pasta with Devon crab and my son had the calzonie. Both were cooked to perfection. Tasty and great portions. We will be returning that's for sure.

Loved the food. Poor value though with small portions.

Very bad acoustics meant we couldn't hear each other but can every time staff scraped the chairs and other conversations, food not really Italian and garlic bread under cooked....not appetising and paid 61 pound for 2 average meals we didn't enjoy...sad times but plenty of other choice locally

Good food with great Service allround

Visited for an evening meal on a Thursday, booked ahead and got seated upon entry without an issue. Opted for the Devon crab and chilli spaghetti which was incredibly good, certainly one that I’d have again. Others had the carbonara which they rated highly as one of the best from Italian chains and the meat calzone which looked phenomenal. Affogato for dessert was welcomed and I’d certainly come back again.

Fantastic food, lovely clean atmosphere. Wasn't too busy at my time visit, the food arrived quickly and had good portions at a good temperature. Will visit again, highly recommended.

Cons: We were greeted by a lady in blue, blond hair and lots of tattoes who did not smile and was just straight up rude. We wanted to choose a different table than what we were offered - it seemed to be a problem. Prices are ridiculous. Food: to us it seemed like it was made from frozen, got small portions and was tasteless and got cold very quickly. I dont know how i feel about the hideous "uniform" the waitresses wear. They all seemed like temp workers who were called on shift last minute. Please invest in a branded tshirt. Pros: place is clean, tables and toilets are clean, cutlery, plates, glasses were clean. Had a cocktail and cider - was okay. They gave us enough time to think about what to order. Tables have enough places between them to not feel that the place is cramped. Food was hot when arrived. Starter was delicious. All in all, not impressed and very likely that we will not return.

Utterly disappointed. I decided to try a delivery as we love Prezzo. Let's just say we won't be doing it again. The food was all over cooked but freezing on arrival most of the order was inedible overcooked pizzas and under cooked veg. For the price I paid for this, it is not worth it.

Went for bottomless brunch woth a friend. Cocktails and service were exceptional. The pizza base, sauce and size were perfect but was expecting a better quality vegan cheese and the vegan chicken looked odd not the most appetising. Saying that will be back for brunch again as it was a great experience. Would be awesome if you could pay a supplement and chose a main!

Great food lovely and attentive staff. We were served by a waitress with a long dark plait who was absolutely lovely, very polite, helpful, chatty and accommodating. As someone who suffers from anxiety I find going out to be daunting. I really enjoyed my night tonight though. Thank you!

Lunch with friends yesterday (31/1) - we chose to eat from the Lighter bites food selection, deciding on sandwiches on Focaccia bread. Grilled chicken breast, Prosciutto, rocket & Pastina Pestonnaise served with a side of Fries or Salad Mozzarella, Basil, Sun blushed Tomatoes & Rocket finished with Olive Oil & black pepper - side of salad or fries. Very tasty & filling @ an excellent price of £9 95! We were able to use a 25% off food voucher also. Not very busy @ 1pm & the 2 waitresses were friendly

Situated at the edge of a shopping area in city centre. Lots of other eateries nearby. Pleasant staff. Limited menu, with little beyond pizza and pasta, though the Italian sausage and sauce was decent enough. Acceptable wine list. Rather loud ambiance, with too much background music. Pleasant enough, but not rushing back.

Pizza arrived cold. The chips were an extremely small portion.

We’ve been to the actual restaurant before and loved the food so decided to order a takeaway. The food was totally different, the carbonara barely had any sauce and had burnt bacon on top. The tomato sauce on the salmon regarding had far too much chilli scattered over an already chilli sauce

We had a fantastic night here celebrating our daughter's graduation - staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make sure this was a very special way to round off an amazing day - complimentary bottle of fizz and more than happy to bring out our celebration cake. For once my gluten intolerance didn't result in small choice or flavourless food. Huge variety and was really delicious! We all really enjoyed our food and had a really lovely evening. Special shout out to, we think Carla? Just lovely and couldn't do enough for us.

I've ordered three different pizzas. 1 hour waiting. All three arrived cold. Their base were very dry. Lack of tomato base, lack of cheese, lack of the chosen ingredient. It was our first time and it will be last. 54 pounds spent for 3 horrible pizzas ever!

Really excellent experience! Great staff, quick service and fantastic food. Beautifully presented and very generous portions. We took half a calzone home!

When our order arrived the driver left it on the doorstep and immediately left. When we opened the order we quickly realised we had received the wrong order so I called Prezzo. They were very apologetic but told me I needed to report it through the Just Eat app in order to get a refund for my parents. I have since been credited with the full amount on my account which I didn’t ask for. My parents paid for this food using their debit card (nearly £50) and therefore a they want a full refund on their card. I have now been told by a ‘Just Eat’ costumer service rep that I can’t now have a refund as the credit has already been added to my account (an account I no longer wish to use). I have requested an investigation into this and continue to remain hopeful that this will be resolved otherwise I will be taking this matter further. Not only did we not get our food, my parents are now also £50 worse off.

The food was good, really really enjoyed it. The dessert surprised me and the banana compliments the cheesecake perfectly. Driver lovely and kind couldn't fault the guy.

This place is great! Celebrating our anniversary Flowers and a card on the table when we arrived which was a nice surprise The staff went above and beyond really friendly. you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some italian classics and some twists, it’s 100% worth going

it seems it's more the norm now to be disappointed when eating out. I've always swerved Prezzo for Wagas next door but today we said yes let's be adventurous and go Italian! Honestly the portion sizes were surely for kids? £17 for a cereal bowl size of risotto....stopping off at Morrisons for food to take home is...well....pathetic! We're not huge eaters just normal and £60 for 3 plates food and drinks....come on! These chains need to stop jumping on the profit bandwagon and sort themselves out. Son paid £10 at a noodle bar in Cardiff the other day - loaded with duck and couldn't stop comparing even with places like wagas. Hail the independents!! But I must say the serving staff in Prezzo were faultless 😊

got to be fair. I'm so disappointed with today. felt rushed in a half empty restaurant in and out inside 45 mins. food quality and portion sizes have decreased so much, mains come out in around 10 minutes, so obviously not made fresh. On top of that, the price is now extortionate. £20 for a carbonara Al forno with chicken. £7.99 for a slither of cheesecake. (Our mistake as we didn't ask to see the desert menu because we knew what we wanted) would never have ordered if we had seen the price. citrus cooler has gone from a big Gin glass to a large wine glass but price remained the same. Not once did a server ask us if the food was ok. I will not be going back here again anytime soon. I know cost of living is tought but this was a joke. I wouldn't recommend going here to anyone, to be honest. this used to be such a nice restaurant, too.

Great food but we ordered chicken carbonara but it arrived without the chicken!!!!! Still delicious BUT no CHICKEN!!!!

Chicken was burnt and tough. Both meals were cold, took just under an hour to allocate a driver which granted us no one’s fault. But I couldn’t even cancel it without still being charged, despite it saying good wouldn’t be prepared till a driver was assigned

Good food served in a timely manner. All of the food served was warm, produced to a high standard and priced competitively when you consider the meerkat or tastecard offers they provide. On this occasion we used the taste card, which presented good value for money. Would I say it presented value for money at full price? In short no and that’s probably why so many Prezzo branches are struggling and being shut. The issue is that every Prezzo branch seems to treat its guests like a drive by and you are rushed in and out with courses being served before you have even finished the last. It’s lost it’s sit down dining experience charm and becomes a fast food joint. At £40 for 5 items of food that’s gone past the fast food pricing structure and probably why it’s losing favour with many diners. However I maintain this branch has some good chefs (can’t say that for all Prezzo restaurants) and the fact it was hot when served was also a nice bonus. The server, a tattooed lady was a little abrupt and came across a little rude, which was a little irritating but that would be my only bugbear of this branch.

This was an impromptu visit on my way home, so I have not visited this restaurant before. The service was excellent, I was given a choice of tables, I was able to use a voucher, and the staff even agreed to charge my phone while I was dining. The speed of service was perfect, and the waitresses were attentive throughout. I will return if I am in the area again.

Great burgers thanks - Fries need more thought. Last time they were cold and soggy - this time they were hot and soggy. Coming in a plastic-lined box doesn't help - when in open air they crisped up a bit

We had a super experience in Prezzo Newport - we went in a large group of teenagers on a hockey tour and the staff could not have been nicer! Everything was organised for us in advance and the food and service was really excellent. We were made feel so welcome and looked after really well. Not easy to cater for 46 people at the same time but Prezzo did it in style !

Booked a table for 10 of us but then noticed the company is now cashless. So we decided to cancel as we will not be told how we pay for our meal. Cash is still legal and we would of spent £300-£400 but they lost out.

I am not a massive Italian food fan but I did enjoy the meal here. Certainly between Prezzo and Zizzi , which is just around the corner, this was definitely the more high end. The lady who greeted me was very friendly , as was the service throughout, and to be fair the meal was reasonably priced. I had a starter, mains, water , coffee and a cocktail and it was a shade under £55. That's okay nowadays. The Calamari starter was okay but nothing special, however the mains was excellent, I had the beef cooked in Chianti. The meat was falling apart and tender and it was very filling but thankfully not too rich. I very much enjoyed the blackberry negroni cocktail also, a little fruit and a little bitter and a good finish to the meal. They do have tiramisu but I was too full. All in all very nice and I will come back.

Lovely food the salmon and s amazing

We managed to have a walk in meal with no issues, very pleasant. The food was quick and lovely, and the staff were very welcoming and hospitable. A blonde waitress, I believe her name was Megan, was very kind and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Overall enjoyable experience, even if we dined and dashed! We’ll be back again.

I ordered 4 pasta dishes and a number of sides, not a single thing was seasoned, the pasta was over cooked and zero salt was used in the cooking, that was clear and the sauce was beyond bland. Honeslty, I've had microwave meals that taste far better than what was offered from prezzo. The kitchen may have been a bad night, who knows, but I won't order again. Very disappointing

Put a liquid meal item in a cardboard box which leaked, my gnocchi was undercooked and the dish was foul. My carbonara tasted like cardboard bar for the sundried tomato, absolutely shocking food!

Everything was cold all our sauces was missing that we ordered and paid extra. We had to throw the chips straight in the bin they were all hard and stuck together what a waste of £70 so disappointed

Another great visit and delicious food. The staff were lovely and friendly from initial greeting until the end. The food came out at a nice pace and it made for a enjoyable relaxed evening. The prawn starter was tasty and the fresh bread went well with it. I had the slow cooked beef in chianti which was delicious. They didn't have the mash available to go with it so I had fries but it still went well. The others had macaroni cheese, chicken pizza and carbonara. All four of us enjoyed every course.
