Pret a Manger in City of London, Westminster

Friendly Polish guy working there the 20th of march re-organizing the baguettes in the fridge. Nice to sit outside on the make-shift terrace. I got soon joined by other customers.

Your staff Jana made us feel very welcome. She was very friendly. Thx God for such an employee.

Bad service, you order a latte and they don't pay attention to the cup measurements and they serve it to you already made 5 minutes ago.

Been going to this pret for years. Jana is always lovely and enthusiastic whilst providing excellent service.

I witnessed a physical altercation yesterday in which a Pret barista repeatedly pushed and headbutted a man on the street as another man attempted to intervene and deescalate. I have no idea what they were fighting about, but I would never enter this Pret location knowing a violent man works there.

Wouldn't allow access to my assistance person . Rude service. When I explained at the door that my assistance person needed access to the toilet we was forced with attitude to buy a coffee. I suffer with ASD and complex PTSD. Plus other bits. I will never recommend pret. The female manager or supervisor needs training in customer service and disability training. This was the worst experience to go through when you already have problems.

When I needed more time to look at the menu, the waiter just looked at me with disdain and a sneer on his face. Worst coffee shop in London.

When coming here along with my family to eat some breakfast I felt the need to leave a positive review. The service was incredible as I was provided with many smiles and a free drink, just out of the kindness of their hearts. The atmosphere was so positive which made this one of the best experiences ive had when going out to eat.🥰

I walked in exhausted from a walk, craving sustenance when oh no! There was a system error. This of course isn’t the fault of the employees but I was saddened that I couldn’t purchase my items. But then the manager offered to help and was really lovely. He was patient and very kind and I don’t usually write reviews but I wanted to shout him out for his Excillent service. Highly recommend!

I used to visit this Pret location regularly and never had any reason to complain before. However, I stopped in today and this lady behind the counter seriously needs customer service training. For some reason, she targeted me out of every other customer before I even said a word. She was aggressively rude, dismissive and forgot my coffee - I was the only one left waiting. I can see her laughing and smiling with every other customer. I left feeling like I regret ever walking into Pret in the first place and honestly ruined my day. Should've gone to Peyton & Byrne - much better service.

I’ve been coming to this specific branch every morning for 8 years and the service is always impeccable. Truly the nicest people!

Two ladies working at this pret branch need training on how to deal with customers and the general public. One of them seems to think the store is her playground showing 0 professionalism. Voiced this to the manager he dealt with it well, hope it rubs on the rest of the staff.

Received great service from a gentleman who recently said he’d had his arm in a cast. Really went the extra mile and had a nice chat.

When I was coffe barista I had 5 waitresses and 60 customers and no problem was. This guys unfortunately rubbish. I will never come back. Good luck

Very rude barista and needs training. I asked the staff for code for the toilet for myself, daughter and an older lady. One of the members of staff just turned around to us and shouted 'don't interrupt the barista' in a very angry voice. Pret used to be my favourite place for a coffee but it has sadly very much lost its love for the customer.

Incredibly hot tasteless mocha (coffee tasted bitter and burnt). Very patronising server (black shirt and moustache).

Manager this morning shouting at staff member in public causing her stress and confusion when handling orders. I had to tell her to be positive and have a better day. Encourage or help staff. Don’t display frustration. The manager was tall and big framed. Unprofessional.

Only bad comment is the toilet was not very clean and from where we sat looking behind the counter it didn't look super clean on the floor either, just makes you feel slightly uncomfortable. It can be easily fixed but before going back I would check to see how it looked. Helpful staff though.

The worst pret a manger of London! Manager is just there for nothing! He is totally lost, staff are very confused about what to do ! They Never have food ready, the place is very dirty and dark! Terrible place !

The man working today 5/5 at 1:45pm was incredbily rude to me and the woman in front of me. Unacceptable attitude and horrible customer service. I asked for a bag after i paid (i bought three bulky items) and he was absolutely outraged and proceeded to throw around and slam the food that I PURCHASED into a bag and shoved at me. I expect better. I have sent a query to Pret's customer service.

Pret. Not much to add. Consistent and they brought back the bircher which is good. Prices have risen disproportionately though - not sure how much that has to do with the subscriptions. Eating less frequently

I left in dismay, very sad but I have now read the reviews from other customers and can realise that they are probably like this in general. Been going to Pret a Manger for years to get both food and drinks. Always had a great experience but nothing like this branch. My experience: I ordered my drink when I was alone in the queue, one member of staff was cleaning, one chatting and somebody at the till. I checked with the till if the colleague was aware of the order and she turned to what I thought was to make the drink, instead looked around various cups that seemed to have been left behind and proceed to pour milk. I felt I was going to drink something that had been around for a while so when I mentioned to them I got an overreacted response and got asked several times “how I want the drinks to be made?” and that “they are very busy”. They became very agitated until they offered a fresh drink to which of course I accepted, other customers arrived to the till at this point as they kept raising their voice. While the drink was made, one of the employees proceeded to say to what appeared another customer how rude I was and that they were about to shout at me, all in Spanish thinking I could not understand (I was shocked but I speak the language so I responded) he then became more agitated and continued to create a scene and make remarks about accent when realised I could speak the language. (He didnt know if I could talk the language so remarks about accent were not even considered when he began to say untruthful facts to another customer) I kept saying I did not want to drink something that had been left around for I dont know how long and that I saw how the employee took a random cup to pour hot milk. It felt like they had been caught and got defensive about it, but I did not feel like being diminished and humiliated for raising a concern so I defended myself but it seemed the whole situation was about that.

I was in a rush this morning so i picked a quick sandwhich. What i thought i picked up was a BLT but it was in fact a PLT... Some mushroom subsitute apparently. Anyway, thats my fault but this wasnt the issue. The mushrooms were so burnt and dry it looked and tasted like i was eating ash. I went to check if all the PLT sandwhiches were like this or just mine and indeed i saw ash in all of the sandwhiches. I showed it to the lady at the counter hoping she would allow me to change the sandwhich but unfortunately she said this was normal.

Pret is a Pret, all same. But the food is fresh and staff friendly.

Chai latte was horrible and only half filled. Roll was soooo salty. Chairs were ripped and whole place was dirty. Press food is rubbish. Great if you like cheese, as in everything!!!

Staff is racist. I just been here to buy a sandwich 5 minutes ago. I am waiting at the counter to be served and no one comes to attend me. Then a white lady comes in and a white looking man behind the counter goes and looked at her and started to serve her. I interrupted and said to the man I was here first. Then the man started serving me very unpleasantly. You can tell he did not want to serve me for no reason. I was very offended. The staff at this place is rude and racist. I asked if they do meal deals. And then he said they dont do discounts. I said to him I dont want a discount, I am asking for a meal deal. He acted he didnt understand. I couldnt be bothered, I collected my sandwich and left. This is very sad that there is people like that working in customer services in 21st century. If you are not white, you will be served the last person in this place even if you came first. I will never go to this place again.

Ive been coming to this pret for the last 7 months and the staff here are so lovely! Even when working under pressure the staff remain extremely calm, kind and polite.. i would love to give all the staff there ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ However unfortunately the 1⭐️ Is ourely because of how rude, abrupt, uncaring and unprofessional the manager at this place is. I didnt quite get the name but the tall slim manager with glassess is not fit for people work. He was shouting at the staff and talking to them in a way nobody should be spoken to. He is very rude and all those above towards customers too. Glad he didn’t cross my path. Absolutely a shame a staff memeber could let the business standards drop so low.

Terrible service at this particular Pret! The shouting drinks was very rude and was just wearing a plain shirt instead of the Pret uniform! So unprofessional! If was stressed then he shouldn’t take it out on the customers! Perhaps more training is need it!!!

I nipped into this Pret A Manger to grab a drink and snack in order to shelter from the heavy rain that I ended up getting caught in. The cafe was clean with a good range of food/drink and there was a decent amount of seating with space for me to try and dry off in.

Ridicoulos they change the opening time whenever they want without update Google maps. It's been the 3rd time. And is not the first shop.What am I pay the subscription for??? This is my last month not worth it anymore.

Sooo slow in making coffee here, even when it’s really quiet. It would be a good idea for Prêt to instruct their baristas at this location on the advantages of hygiene and regular hand washing, specially when handling dirty rags, or when wiping spilt milk off the worktop with their bare hands, or after shaking hands with newly arrived colleagues, or after patting colleagues on the back. Today, while waiting an inordinate amount of time for my coffee, I observed one barista do all this within the space of a minute. Also, it’d be helpful if the baristas don’t place their fingers INSIDE the empty cups while handling them, and not even at the rims where our lips are meant to touch. I threw my coffee away.

Visited at around 9am on Thursday 24th March 2022. Ordered a latte. There were a lot of people waiting for coffee. I assume many of these have the coffee subscription but I paid full price. I brought my own cup. The latte was absolutely awful. The milk had been boiled, I burned my tongue on it. It was completely unpleasant to drink. Clearly absolutely no care had gone into making it, as they were rushing to serve so many customers. Of the three staff making coffee, only one had the uniform that indicated they were trained as a barista. Also at first they gave me completely the wrong drink. They did fix it very quickly just by dumping it out and pourimg a latte out of a takeaway cup into my cup. But it didn't make me feel optimistic about them getting orders right, milks being cross contaminated etc. The process seemed extremely chaotic.

This is the 3rd time I've shown up half an hour after opening (based on the opening hours currently on the door) where they aren't open. So frustrating to go out of my way to get to this one on a Sunday for them to never be open.

Fine food and drinks but very inconsistent wifi. Don't come here to work.

Yesterday ordered a decaf mocha but the guy said all their machines are not working so they can't give me a decaf mocha? He didn't even look apologetic or anything, just took it as a joke my request. But somehow they can give me a regular one which doesn't help if ideally I need a decaf one due to a personal reason. The coffee machines were all working too and people were asking for their custom ones as well so not sure how a decaf one could not be made or if they simply just didn't want to be asked to make a decaf one. But apparently if someone wants to have a skinny extra hot latte as someone ordered behind me thats fine.

Prets are always good friendly and fresh at realistic prices. Unfortunately didn't get the coffee right.

Been there today in a group of 5, the manager was so rude, there were 2 hot drinks on the table ready for collect and he asked one of us what we've ordered and then he just gave those 2 hot drinks to us and said take it. That was not our order and he just gave it to us. It was such a mess and he didn't apologize. His attitude was so bad. It seems like he doesn't want us to visit. I feel sorry for the staff working there with this manager. What kind of customer service is this?

Very disappointed with one particular employee, I got to the store around 4:50, 10 mins before closing, I asked for a smoothie and the agent replied we don’t do this. I walked away. Another customer asked for the same and the agent replied they are closed and run out. He could have easily told me this but rather was very blunt and gave Mis-information.

Selection of drinks and food are great but doesn't quite make up for the atmosphere. Staff can sometimes be rude, which I can understand may be due to the stress of how busy it can get, but it can sometimes end up leaving you feeling a bit disheartened.

How does it take 3 times to get the order right and even when right forget the ice....

Buenos bocadillos, ensaladas ,desayunos. Todo recién hecho y con ingredientes saludables. Very good option for breakfast or lunch.

The kindest staff I have ever come across. I happen to ask a member of staff (who turned out to be the manager) whether they stocked gluten free and vegan sandwiches and wraps. She went and got her big book of allergens and showed me what i could eat. She pointed me to the gluten free bread with avocado and a slice of lemon, told me she eats if for breakfast most days and loves it. On her recommendation I decided to go with it. Got to the check out and she very kindly told me my breakfast was on her today. Bless her cotton socks. It has definitely made my day. X
