Poor customer service. I have been using a Pret subscription for the last 4 months, bought a baguette with ham and cheese, and a Flat White earlier today (take out). Later in the day (dine in), I was approached and told off by the same lady (older woman with glasses) who served me at the till that the seating was only for customers. I was sitting at the back of the store, working on a laptop, minding my business, but hey, apparently I am not a customer. AVOID!

I went in there about 5 times now and every single time the coffee has been tasteless, and I waited way too long for them, especially the cold drinks. The stores in Greenwich and Stratford are miles above.

I was forced to make a purchase by one of the staff Faisal before I could use the lavatory. after making my purchase And using the lavatory one of the staff behind the counter allowed a woman to walk straight past and use the lavatory without purchasing an item I addressed this issue and in a professional and calm manner was ignored and spoken to rudely and shunned away. I will not be returning to this premise and definitely would not recommend anyone coming here for this terrible service rude staff Horrible customer service I’m in a

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding an extremely disappointing experience I had at your Canning Town branch today. As a loyal customer who values both your quality products and customer service, I feel compelled to bring to your attention an incident that transpired during my recent visit. While making my third purchase today, I politely suggested to the cashier the importance of smiling while serving customers, as it contributes significantly to the overall experience. In response to my constructive feedback, I was met with outright rudeness and disrespect. The employee’s reply was dismissive and unprofessional, indicating that if I did not like the service, I should leave. Not only was this response unacceptable, but it also escalated when the employee refused to serve me further. This occurred despite my prior purchases and was accompanied by further disrespectful behavior. Additionally, I was shocked to be told that I could only be served if I deleted a video recording I had made of the interaction. It is deeply concerning that an employee at your establishment felt empowered to dictate which customers they would serve and to engage in such disrespectful conduct. This incident has severely tarnished my perception of Pret A Manger’s commitment to customer service and professionalism. Furthermore, the fact that the individual claimed to be the manager and refused to escalate the matter appropriately only compounds my dissatisfaction. As a customer, I deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy, and I expect Pret A Manger to uphold its standards of service. I must emphasize that I possess video evidence of this encounter, which clearly illustrates the unprofessional behavior of your employee. This incident not only reflects poorly on the Canning Town branch but also on the entire Pret A Manger brand. I urge you to take swift and decisive action to address this matter. It is imperative that you investigate this incident thoroughly, reiterate the importance of customer service to your staff, and ensure that such behavior is not tolerated within your organization. As a long-standing customer, I sincerely hope that my complaint will be taken seriously, and appropriate measures will be implemented to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. I have made a few orders from the Canning Town branch via UBER Eats for delivery. For the second time Pret seem to get confused with their cheesecake and lemon cake, and once again sent me the lemon cake of which I don not like. I have now paid twice for the more expensive cheesecake only to receive a lemon cake in my order, I have never been refunded either, and it is difficult and time consuming to contact them to recify the situation. On today’s occasion I opened my order in front of the courier to show him the mistake of which he took a photo. UBER Eats were very unhelpful just because I made a previous complaint, on another vendor, and they did nothing. So the food in general is good, the service is poor

I love Prey and always go there to have a coffee. I never had any problems with Pret, but it was my first situation with rude staff. One guy I think is a manager( because he was with a star sticker) was very rude to me and did not want to use my subscription, so I had to pay the full amount.

Pret-ty sterile. But that seems to be their style. And this branch probably sits just right in the reimagined Canning Town, which seems to be a bunch of unpretty shared ownership flats clustered around a Morrisons. Huge high ceilings yet cramped with 2 of the 3 doors permanently locked.

Customer service can be improved. Opening hours differ which is annoying. Also I feel they have a problem with customers that order smoothies even though it is popular - I went there today 40mins to spare before losing and they stopped serving smoothies - only hot drinks....why? it's summer. Update - I go to this pret quite often, as I have a pret subscription and actually do not have any problems with the service.

Just went there this morning. My card doesn't work like sometimes happens at the first try to pay, but the checkout guy preferred talk with colleagues more than help with transaction. Than I left and go in a small coffee near and had my coffee. I'll never come back in a pret shop. They're just trained to be kindly fake but doesn't care really more... I gave one star because I couldn't give them zero

When I first to the area I was so glad to find out there's a Pret. My firsts visits I was lucky I guess and I was served from the only person that was pleasant and polite and very welcoming, she no.longer works there. The rest of the staff are quite unpleasant. The coffee is not good and it's boiling hot as if it has to stay hot until the sun goes down During heatwave they weren't making any cold coffees and me and some other customers ended up asking for to add cold milk in the coffee.

Great service and attitude in Pret a Manger, Canning Town. The staff offer the whole range of hot and cold drinks unlike most Pret a Manger cafes across London that offer only hot drinks to the subscribers. Absolutely attractive place and social hub as people feel attended to and some spend more time along with their laptops or friends.

Nice place with friendly service. However selection is very limited. I tried a number of times lately to get the breakfast rolls and found them 50% of the time despite going super early (8:15 on a Thursday, 9:15 on Sunday). Funny enough, the place was open to customers and staff started placing sandwiches at their empty shelves after they were open to public.

Also you cannot pay cash and when I asked why because it seamed to me that pay a coffee with cash was reasonable, the girls there didn't agree and I was treated like a menace or something. I was excited about having Pret in the area, however after a few visits I feel the disappointment. You can’t get any cold drinks (smoothies, frappes) after 4.30 on the clock. The sitting area is also blocked 30min before the closing times, which is already pretty early. As other reviewers mentioned, management could use some kindness. For now, I will not be renovating my monthly membership.

Clean and well located I am glad we finally got a prêt in Canning Town ,However the music is very loud and one of the staff I find very rude I asked for a latte and got a coffee with so much foam when I asked her to put more milk in it as half of it is just foam she replied saying it’s because we called 2 times and you didn’t come that’s why !!!! First of all I was in the bathroom and it took me literally 2 mins to go back and get my coffee I also used to work as a barista when I was younger and I know for a fact that it’s so unrelated. Some of the supervisors and managers are rude with the other employees which I find uncomfortable to watch

Just left the drive through. Only 1 car in front who had to wait ages to be acknowledged. When we went to order the McRib we were told it’s sold out. Then the lady told us to wait in a tone which suggested she was going to check. Ages later she came back and whispered to us to go to the next window. We asked her to confirm what we’ve ordered and she said don’t worry come next window. Next window we met her face to face. She wore a hijab. She took her headset off and whispered “what’s your order?” Like what?! We explained we wanted the McRib and that she told us it was sold out and we didn’t get to order an alternative. She again repeated that it was sold out, when we clearly knew. Finally we ordered our alternatives. She gave us 3 Selects instead of 5 which we paid for but the receipt said 3 even. She gave Coke instead of Lemonade, and Sweet n Sour instead of Sweet Curry sauce. We had driven off when we realised and they didn’t answer the phone when we called numerous times so had to go back again whilst being on work lunch break. Seriously, companies need to re-evaluate their staff who are customer facing. Language barrier (she barely spoke English) and those who can’t correct their errors or double-check, should NOT work such roles, and if they do, an emphasis on training is key.
