finally an order delivered on time. and food was as hot as it needs to be, not warm not cold. good hot which this was, chips were good and hot, but the burger, well, very soggy,and simply NO TASTE ! NOTHING , NO salt, and nothing there, very blant,

I’m wondering who the manager of this store is and whether employees are checking orders before delivering them. This is the second time in a row that items have been missing from my order. The first time, I ordered a double burger and chunky fries but received a single burger with skinny fries instead. Today, I was supposed to get three garlic mayo dips, but I only received one. Could you please ensure that orders are checked before they are dispatched? This has been a really frustrating experience. 👎🏼

They’re really nice to us whenever we go. Burgers are fantastic at this price point. Should really have a better salad situation, though. I end up getting salad from the grocery store or Wahaca outside.

Poorly cooked chips, somehow both greasy and undercooked. Apparently they think it is a great idea to ask for a service charge before you get served. No one asks how your meal is. No one serves you cos you order on a tablet. Lock down is over people!!

food came 1.5 hours late, when I try to ring they wouldn't pick up the call. Finally food arrived but it was very cold and the burger was fully burnt. waste of my time and money. would never order from them

Please avoid this branch as the quality of food is poor for the extortionate price (£70) for three people burger, fries, onion rings and drinks. Food was served cold felt cheated and disappointed. Quality of food has declined significantly over the years.

The price in relation to the size of the burger is a joke. The company makes a profit on the naivety of customers by selling mini burgers for the price of three at McDonald's. The quality and taste are also not much different between GBK and McDonald's. I do not recommend. Even to snobs.

Sumiya and Muhammad were lovely and so was the food.

Amazingly tasteless burgers and what's worse. We complained the chicken wings were still raw, the staff took them away, warmed them up and gave them back still pink. No other follow up or offer to fix the situation. Luckily, their skinny fries are great.

Amazing food I’m so full! The milkshakes are the best!!! They provide take out boxes for left overs so very convenient.

I come in here tonight with my family and was served by a lady called Sherise she was very helpful polite and quick with our order. Overall the food was lovely as well as the service, we will definitely be back.

GBK has changed a lot over the years. This large branch in the Westfield Centre is typical of the way they are these days. Order by App or via a little console on the table. This is a plus, never used to like ordering at the till. On the negative, the menu isn’t as interesting these days, they’ve gone down the modern ‘smash’ burger trend and have less of the traditional type. The ultra skinny fries were also a sad loss and the sauces are much smaller. Anyway, that said, the burgers are still good and pretty reasonably priced. Tasty too. Order it rare and that’s how it comes, plump and pink and juicy. What I really come here for though are the onion rings and the baconnaise sauce. Those are fantastic. The onion rings are no longer stacked by size, but I don’t mind that - that coating…. Yum. The beer was Cruzcampo, Manchester’s own Spanish lager. Overall a decent experience- quick and efficient service and tasty food. Quiet too, for 4pm on a Saturday.

We were sat and advised food will take 30mins. Unsure what that was supposed to mean. I didn't feel like we were welcome to sit and order due to that comment. Unsure if that was the norm as well for burgers. I haven't been to GBK in a while and menu has changed. Food was good but I remembered it being better.

After hours of walking felt very exhausted, so placed a google search for some shakes and it came up at GBK at westfield, it was lotus biscoff shake whis was to tasty, and special thanks to mr Viraj for excellent hospitality 🤝

I had a fantastic dining experience at Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK). The food was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. A special mention goes to Viraj, who served us with exceptional professionalism and a friendly attitude. Their attentiveness and warm hospitality made the meal even more enjoyable. First and foremost, they do care about ditery restrictions and ask about it at the first place. Moreover, Good tasting burgers. The burger patty were well cooked and were upto the expectations. And I'd recommend the onion rings as well. Would recommend and go again. Cheers! :)

Slow service and rude staff. From the moment we walked in the staff member was bossing us about where to stand which gives a bad first impression. We had visited the restaurant on boxing day and placed an order for takeaway. After waiting for over 15minutes we inquired about the status of the order to be told it would take 5 more minutes. After some further time had passed, we asked a different staff member and he rudely dismissed us saying it would take a lot more time and started arguing with us, even rolling his eyes. The first staff member also came and started arguing for no reason when she was the one who said 5 more minutes in the first place. We ended up cancelling the order due to the frustration and went elsewhere, where the service was a lot better. GBK is expensive so we were not expecting such poor treatment and customers will surely be lost if staff keep acting so rude.

Good food. Very tasty and flavourful meat. An extra assistant would be needed in the room.

Popped in early before the rush. We both had the £9.99 special, although I'm not keen on smash burgers. Plenty of food and refill drinks. Staff very friendly.

Walked in with my partner to see what it's like, got sat down quickly by a man who seemed happy to be there which is nice. They have these nice little tablets that you can order your food on so that comes in handy when you know quickly what you want. The food came after about 5-8 minutes, the thick chips were wonderful and so were the onion rings as they're not soggy and mushy and coated in panko, the drinks were okay, nothing to really complain about and nothing extraordinarily good, and the homeslaw they have was quite nice as well. Unfortunately when it comes to the smash burgers they were bellow average with the patty not even being properly smashed as it was missing that crunch and crisp, to be fair it was practically a normal burger, in the end the gorgonzola didn't sit well with me but well that's more of a personal issue so if anyone like the cheese then go for it.

So disappointing. Been 5 years since the last visit. Smashed burgers were so greasy, I'd been better off buying one from a parked up burger van. Love the tablet ordering at the table, however kinda makes the servers redundant. It also requires you to pay beforehand. This in itself is odd as it asks you to tip the server. Why would anyone tip a server before service? Further, the tablet doesn't allow discount codes, so we missed out on 20% off. Service itself was excellent. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and immediately asked if we had any allergies. Class! Strawberry Shake was one of the nicest I have had in recent times. But as previously said, burgers were absolutely awful and as such I doubt I'll make a visit to GBK ever again.

Disappointing Experience with Rude Management I visited GBK stratford with a reservation, expecting a smooth experience. Instead, the manager rudely told me and my friend to wait behind the line, despite having a reservation. It was awkward and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome. The manager’s attitude not only soured our experience but likely scared away other customers as well hence why the restaurant was deserted. I won’t be returning anytime soon. Save yourself the trouble!

Burger bun was dry and stale, onion ring was hard, chips were cold and soggy, was like the food was sat there for ages. Worst part was I was getting a refund and noticed the chef picking at his eye or nose then flicking it on the floor as he stared at me from the kitchen. I mentioned this to the manager who was doing the refund and he says "I'm doing your refund you don't need to pick holes in the kitchen." More concerned about the 3 other customers hearing than fixing the issue. Rude staff with an attitude and even more rude grumpy manager that doesn't give care about the problems, no wonder so many 1 star reviews lately.

Ordered some food and it took a lot of time. Approximately 45 minutes for a burger. really disappointed, never gonna back again.

I ordered a INCHS cider, it arrived very warm. Then I ordered a loaded fries and they were not loaded with any toppings, only 3 pieces of bacon and a drop of nacho cheese. I was forced to negotiate with the worker and tell him that it was in fact not like the picture, but after a small while he agreed to give me more toppings.

Tablets used to order were very good and food came very fast. Personally I'm a picky eater with burgers but that smashed burger was amazing!!! 100% recommend

We were sat at a table that was occupied by another couple who had gone to the bathroom which led to confusion. We were given other people’s drinks. Found a hair in my burger which my partner took back but the kitchen staff was hesitant to throw it away and we received no apology until the manager came out. Even then it wasn’t sincere as he said “this is the best we can do” and left.

Pretty disappointed- tried the new smash burgers - my burger was delicious but looked like it had been sat on! Not like the picture at all. My wife asked for no gherkins or onions and got both but had no bottom to her bun. No staff clearing the tables so we waited but no show, so we couldnt even raise the issues with them. Also had a birthday treat voucher (from gbk) that had apparently expired on my birthday! Had to argue to get something sorted. Overall, good food (mine), sloppy service and poor customer relations.

I have never experienced such a diabolical level of customer service which appears to be a standard offering from the GBK in Stratford (Westfield). On Sunday 20th October 2024, my partner ordered a takeaway for us in the evening, and by the early hours of Monday 21st October, we were faced with a crisis. My partner spent 4 hours straight sitting on the toilet seat shaking and vomiting into a bucket whilst having explosive diarrhoea. Inbetween that time, we had to balance my access to the toilet which was an absolute nightmare as I was suffering from intense stomach cramps and diarrhoea. As we ordered our meal via the UBER EATS app,  we notified them to escalate our concerns. GBK responded via the app by offering £3 off our next order which was absolutely ridiculous. To make matters worse, we were due to travel to Greece for our holiday on Tuesday 22nd October, however we had no choice but to cancel our plans which resulted in additional costs. We contacted GBK directly and received a email from the General Manager at the Stratford branch. Despite providing details of the incident and requesting for a full refund and updates on our case, we have received no further communication from GBK. Our emails have been ignored and dismissed for the past 4 weeks, therefore we have escalated our case to Newham Council's food hygiene department for further investigation. We have never ever experienced anything like this and would not wish this on our worst enemy.  I will never ever order food from GBK as they do not care about the quality of the food they supply to customers or delivering good customer service. Absolutely terrible.

Food was alright, the wings don't really hold any real flavour, so the sauces do most of the work.

The put peanut butter in my burger without letting me know and it did NOT give an option to take it out at all and l asked to replace it and it wouldn’t let me!

I visit this GBK branch once every month as part of a big group. Their closing time is inconsistent so we get turned away if they close early, They're quick to serve us, and we usually enjoy it there. There's something for everyone. They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Unfortunately, they've recently changed their loyalty scheme to only give free smash burgers that aren't customisable and not vegan.

Turned away at 8:45 pm cause their closing time is at 9:30pm. There were no other clients and so they were not bothered to work!

Inconsistent in closing time. Sometimes no eat in customers from 2040 on Monday... Sometimes it's fine.

Come for a burger and a beer before the westham game. The place was packed, but everyone still had a smile on their faces. Burgers were great.

I visited on Friday night. Upon entering I asked if they are celiac friendly. A manager was called to talk to me and explained all the options clearly and was knowledgeable about cross contact. Patties were tasty, not so keen on bun. Great hard working team, well done!

I often ate here, Thought it was the best Stratford burger, and used to recommend it to my friends. But the burgers I ordered this time were the worst. The patties are thinning and very poor. This was no different from a fast food burger. The staff was unfriendly unlike before. I'm so disappointed, so I won't visit again.

Staff are extremely rude and incompetent. they treat all customers differently as they wish and have no respect for anything. Would highly avoid and hope this store receives some staff training ASAP.

I, and my partner and her friend, had a fantastic evening in the establishment. We’ve eaten at GBK before but what made this experience better than all the prior times we’ve gone was in major part due to Chris. We asked Chris if there was a table that could accommodate us in a corner, for some peace, as we just came from MCM Comic Con. I myself flew in for it and to be with my partner. With a smile Chris led us to a comfortable table in a corner, informed us how to order our food and left us at it. I’m not going to go too much in to detail with the meal beyond that it was delicious, as is always the case. What elevated the experience, beyond the company that surrounded me, was Chris being very accommodating and all smiles to three really tired old nerds.

I had really bad experience in the restaurant. We Order burgers along with the fries. The fries contain a long hair and they give us the fries when we asked them, their service is too slow. People come after us they all got the drinks we waited 30 min for the drinks and when they serve the drinks they make it messy and the bartender she is very rude while serving.

It was an amazing lunch time here the food was amazing and the drinks too. I would like to appreciate the chef Fofana and Iwona who made an amazing burger meal. Lots of deals, so hamburgers are pretty cheap with Really good ones and good variations! The food comes quick to your table. The service is excellent most of the times, with lots of smiley faces. I've been there 4 or 5 time and I really like it. Is not over priced (many chains are) and you get free unlimited peanuts! Update 2024: Came here last night, today all day with stomach aches since the morning. Rations are also smaller. But I saw something not great: in the kitchen I saw someone spraying anti-bacterial cleaning product extremely close to the food toppings. Is impossible that no chemical went into the food. Is this why I had horrible stomach problems for two consecutive days right after eating here?

I was there with my friend for a dinner , and we ordered two burgers and a vanilla shake , it's takes almost half an hour to get our food and the food was not tasty , the only thing I like there is the vanilla shake

This restaurant was empty and remained pretty much so. I'm not surprised, given the reviews here (which I did not read beforehand). The staff here are not engaging and our server did not have a full grasp of the English language nor the products. It is always a good idea for the manager to ensure staff read and fully understand the menu in the catering business. Rose wine is pronounced 'rosay' and not named after a flower ... this is really basic knowledge. When the wine arrived we were told it was warm yet we were the only people there when ordering Rose, so that's just bad restaurant management too. Some questions we had about food were met with a blank stare, so l ordered the so-called blue cheese Smash Burger as a guess. This pathetic excuse for a £13 double patty burger (chips £4 extra) arrived virtually flat (the same size as a 99p chain cheeseburger) with a small squirt of blue cheese sauce and nothing else. It made McDonald's look like haute cuisine. I can see why the menu has no photos as I would have walked out if this burger would have been photographed in advance. The manager agreed it was poor and told me to order the Classic Cheeseburger with salad and blue cheese crumbs at £6 extra. You would have thought a valid complaint would warrant a bit of blue cheese being ‘thrown in’ for free after having to wait another 15 minutes for it to arrive. The burger was eventually ok. As a party of 5 we were all served separately with large gaps in the service despite ordering one after another at the till. The evening came to an end when the fire alarm went off in the open kitchen. We were evacuated and the chef seemed to disappear, leaving the hot plate smoking away. We wouldn't go back to this chain as it was bland with bland service and bland food.

I visited this Gourmet Burger Kitchen last week, and it was a great experience! The burger was packed with flavour, and the ingredients tasted really fresh. The fries were perfectly crispy, and the milkshake was a nice touch. The staff was welcoming and quick with service. It's definitely worth a visit if you love a good burger!

Small portions, qué when the restaurant was almost empty, dull ambience.

Great food. Service also friendly. Not many places still cooks on flamed grills, but GBK does, and beef taste nice and smoky. It’s a shame they closed Greenwich and O2 branches, as they were our local ones :(

I ordered at 8:33 however I waited yet I still have not received it.

Food was terrible, a cold soggy pile of bread and meat. Ordered a smash burger, receieved a regular burger. Didnt reveive my drink, wasnt checked back on so i left and bought my dinner at 5 guys instead. I also witnessed a short white man in a suit, who i assume is the manager, berating and swearing at his staff on the dining floor which was really unpleasant and uncomfortable to experience whilst dining out. The shop floor staff looked miserable and exhausted also.

Fantastic burgers. I was enjoying the food. I still remember that taste of the best burgers in the town. Been there twice and looking forward to try sth again.

We made a huge order of 6 burgers, 5 chunky fries, 5 drinks and 2 onion rings. 2 burgers, all 5 fries and both onion rings were missing. Shocking. I even commented on the fact that only 2 bags wee given to me, but the receipt showed the entire order and I trusted that everything was there. You can imagine how we were happily anticipating this order. We are all now snacking on crisps to fill the gap and I’ve made a second McDonald’s order for 2 meals for the children which we are now waiting on.

Asked for Burger with no mayo and got burger with mayo. Chips still hard and wait time of 20 mins. When only 3 groups in restaurant. They did offer to re do my burger and told me it would only take 5 mins this time not 20 so not sure why we had to wait so long the first time. When I refused I was given 2 x £10 voucher but as I won't come back they don't really help.

Was served by a gentleman called viraj. Excellent service from him. Was very patient and explained everything super clearly. Definitely needs a pay rise!

GBK used to be a good place to grab a proper burger - gone are those days. They have now joined some other burger places in a massive shrinkflation move - increased prices, burger patties ever thinner, milkshakes in the same cups as before but obviously reduced portions. Not sure I'm planning to go back any time soon on this basis.

I ordered a classic burger medium cokeed, and I could only taste the burned on my bread, bacon, and beef patty. I just wasted £12.50.

My visit to GBK on Saturday was terrible. The restaurant was packed so understandably, the food took longer than expected. We received our food 50 minutes after we ordered. Halfway during our wait, we ordered an additional side. When our first order arrived, it was cold and half the size the burgers at other GBK branches I’ve visited were. We had to wait another 45 minutes for our other order before I went to complain. I waited in the queue behind 3 other people who were complaining about waiting for their food for between 50 mins to 1.5hrs! We decided to leave at that point. In the future, the manager should at least warn customers of the expected wait time rather than just sitting customers down. However, we did have a lovely staff member who apologised for our wait.

I visited this place yesterday and must say that atmosphere was horrible, never experiened this in my life before! Manager screaming in front of us at his employees when restaurant is obviously short staffed. Just a quick reminder: should be grateful that you have at least someone working for you!

On the second floor of the Westfield-Stratford ahopping center. You have several different burgers you can choose, including a couple of vegan and vegeterian options! Then you can customize your burger, including how many patties you want, how you like your patty cooked (medium to well-done) and other extra contents. As for the burgers, they were ok... just ok. Not the worst I have had, but defintinitly not the best!

These people are a bit lost with the new menu! I don’t think they can tell the difference between a classic burger and a Smashburger! Go all the way down stairs, to the first floor McDonald’s at guarantee you can have a better meal!

Very overpriced - I paid £11.50 for this sad-looking burger (Korean BBQ chicken). It tasted quite nice but disappointed with the lack of fillings. And you had to pay for fries separately - when you get such a poorly filled burger and pay that price, you’d expect chips in the price. Won’t be returning as there’s plenty other better burger places around. No atmosphere either, very quiet. Doesn’t meet the title of ‘Gourmet’ at all!

Drinks took forever to arrive, they need more staff on the floor. One to serve drinks, one to wait around the tables and one to escort to tables, and two to serve food. the burgers were being made quite quickly so people in the kitchen were clearly working fast but the shop floor people were extremly slow. customers next to us were also complaining about drinks and left unhappy. poor service overall. wouldnt come back

Overpriced £11.50 for a small chicken burger. Chicken was hard and lack of flavour.. It's was so plain!! Portion of truffle chips barely has any truffle sauce for £6! First and last time in this place...service was disaster, staff has not clue of what they are doing...I felt robbed by the price and the quality of food..

Hadn’t been to GBK in some years. I remember it being alright, though. Recently came here on a date night and it exceeded expectations. I doubled up on the Taxi Driver which was delicious and my partner was very satisfied with the cheeseburger also. Fries were simple and importantly, well-seasoned. Good, simple food done right at fair prices. Service was smooth and smiley. Ambience was pleasant too. Would return.

We received our food quickly, but the drinks were missing and took at least another 10 minutes to arrive and my father had to go get them. The staff wasn't helpful at all. Additionally, my sweet potato fries took so long to arrive that I had already eaten half of my burger by the time they did.

I came here with a large group of friends. The service was very helpful, polite and efficient.

I visited Stratford GBK, couple of days before with my group. The staff asked us about allergens and suggested us few burger options. They have good halal options with vegan burgers as well. The atmosphere is also good with very fast service. Nice options of bottomless drinks Strawberry elderflower is one of my favourite. I would like to recommend this place.

Yesterday we visited your establishment, we ordered 5 burgers and one of them was with old spoiled meat, which smelled terribly. The manager assured us that the meat smelled like onions and was not spoiled, although it was clear that this was not true. We didn't eat that burger, but the other burgers that didn't stink did, and it was a big mistake because one member of our group has been in bed all day today with stomach cramps and food poisoning

Food was pretty good and came out quickly. Washrooms needed to be cleaned and there was no soap on ladies or men's.

Today, I visited [GBK] and placed an order for two classic chicken burgers with some fried chips and onion rings, which are well-known at their establishment. However, I encountered an error in my order as I received sweet potato chips instead of the regular chips that I had requested. The quality of the burger was satisfactory, but it did not offer any exceptional value compared to its price point.

I went here for a dinner and the service was quick and the staff friendly. Good Vegan options on the menu.

Great burgers from here, was glad to see that they ask you how well done you want your burger and they actually made it well done, a kind member of staff also sorted out a refund when I accidentally ordered an extra burger, so thank you!

The food is great. My favourite burger place in London to be honest. I love how they cook it medium-rare. Also the selection of side dishes is amazing. That being said, the waiting time is usually long.

The food was really good and the deals that were on were fantastic. Kids eat for £2 with a full paying adult and they had sides for 3 for £10. The customer service was disappointing. Some of the staff just didn't seem too bothered and not even said anything when we asked for refills. I ended up going up to them as they weren't taking any notice of us even though we were waving to them from our table. I could understand if it was really busy but it wasn't too bad when we were there. It's our local GBK so we will probably be back but I hope that the customer service in this restaurant improves!

Classic vegan burger was sloppily arranged and flavourless and the fries were coldish . For the price I did not think it was worth it

I'm giving 3 stars because the person I suppose was the manager and the girl at the till were nice, but everything else was quite disappointing. The portion of the chips for the meal deal was terrible, I could count them on my hands ✋🏼. Things have changed, the burger wasn't that tasty, at least not as I remember. Gbk used to be amazing, but I guess those times have come to an end. You don't get what you pay for in any way. Please tell the host to smile and communicate with people, as a host he's supposed to welcome you and make you feel comfortable, but he seemed lazy, bored and pissed altogether. He didn't even explain me how to order. Bless the girl at the till that was trying to do by herself a job that was meant to be for 3 people minimum. You should be embarrassed to bring to the table such ridiculous portions.

Burger was under seasoned, burnt and swimming in oil till the point the bun fell apart as soon as i picked it up. Anaemic chicken wings. Dirty water glasses. Sticky tables.

I recently visited GBK stratford with my family, it was a horrible experience. I’m a regular GBK customer for a long time in the stratford, O2 and St.pauls branch and it was a shame to know that this branch is making their milkshakes in a different way and it tastes really different from the milkshakes I had from their other branches recently. Also cola drinks were very less in quantity for 3.40 quids which is from the tap and it tasted flat. The food was okay but the waiting time was so long for drinks and food that we haven't received our food even after we where done with our drinks. The guy was just taking people inside without even clearing the tables. It is very dissapointing that GBK is providing this kind of service. The restaurant seemed to be severely understaffed and constant changes in the management is leading to inconsistencies in the quality of standards and services. I hope the GBK management would take some actions for these situations. I would never be coming again to this branch.
