This is my favourite Pret to go to, the staff here are so unbelievably kind and patient, (compared to the Pret on Brick Lane where they do not want you to be there). Thank you Holloway Road Pret for making my day today and every day!

Very good sandwiches the chicken club

Service is appalling in this Pret!! This is the 2nd time I've ordered a drink with something else and the barista did not put my order through. When I asked where my drink was I got told I didn't order a drink. Instead of apologizing the barista became confrontational. My drinks were also rushed and poorly made! I do not come to this Pret often but I've had more bad service than good. The Highbury and Islington one is much better despite being busy. Even if they've forgotten my drink it's never a problem and they are always made properly and not rushed.

I’m a big pret fan but this shop is so bad, they’re open when it suits them and the baguettes are spungy. It confuses my why this pret is so bad compared to others

Lovely staff apart from the women with glasses and red hair she so rude and lets down the shop. Also never opened on time and closes early always

Nice staff apart from the women with glasses she’s rude everyday and is letting your shop down Pret. Also the shop closes when it likes lots of times hours before closing time. The other morning it was not open on time.

Worse Pret especially their morning staff and morning drinks are both Awful. Keep away, Costa is few steps away.

Never has much hot food and range of sandwich’s limited.

One of the few places in London where you can get a lovely filter coffee for only £1.50

A barista laid a row of coffee cups on her left side. She picked up one coffee cup at a time and filled in with milk via the coffee machine on her right side. While the machine was filling the cup, she picked up a cleaner and sprayed on the machine on her left side. So the cleaner can be sprayed into the coffee cups. Then, when the right machine finished, she continued use her hands to operate the machine, put the lid on cups, handed over to customers. When I asked to change another one, she just repeated the steps again. I understand you probably don't earn much money with this job. Please don't do this inappropriate multi-tasking and show some respect to your customers! To whoever trust Pret to offer healthy food, please don't trust. You never know how food is made!

I don't know why but this pret has the tastiest coffee for me. The staff are always extremely friendly. There was one girl on particular I think she may be from India (very sorry if you're not!!) Shes soo friendly and accommodating. 5*

I can't vouch for all of the food but I have limited experience with their menu. They are a bit overpriced but I've not had any issues with freshness or taste. I give a 4 star for service because it can be hit or miss. You're either going to get someone who will brighten that hour of the day, or someone who will be incompetent. (I asked the person serving me to add cold water to make the green tea warm, not hot. They repeated what I said and I confirmed, then they poured boiling water in the cup and gave it to me. I ended up burning my tongue and couldn't taste my meal) :)

Friendly staff. I didn't realise there are actually no less than 8 Prét à Manager branches near/ in/ around London Bridge Station (if one includes the one inside The Shard) Henceforth, I'm only giving 5 stars to those Prét branches which do the full range of (cold) drinks (including milkshakes, smoothies & frappés). So, only 4 stars here.

Closes at 1530. Why would a coffee place close at 1530?

One star only because there was no zero star. I went there and asked for a flatwhite. The woman was very confident ( maybe their manager?!) Both espresso and milk were ready and it took her less than 3seconds to serve a cold and old flatwhite. I saw her pressing the machine for another two espresso in two cups, probably getting it ready for another unfortunate customer who comes after me. I think this is their practice to give already made espresso and milk to customers when they are not busy. I don't think they even know what flatwhite is. No sign of freshly made silky smoothness of milk . They think it should be in smaller cups ( to make it stronger) put some milk (and ofcourse top should be flat ) - hence flat and white 😉.

Pret, with sitting inside and out

I'm overall happy with the service, but why on earth you don't agree to make a smoothie with water instead of juice??? Some people can't have high sugar intake, like myself, the sweetener is also hardly ever there :( please please please change that 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The food choices are not very good compared to other Prets that I have visited and they frequently are low on available options. Also most of the baguettes, salads and sandwiches are the ones with cheaper ingredients and they don't stock any of my usual choices which is disappointing. No issues with the service though.

This a great coffee shop with polite staff. I drink a lot of coffee throughout the day so a cafe with a working toilet is a must, which this one does.

on a whole the store is a decent place to quickly grab a cup and go however if you desire a variety do not come pretty basic things can not be done my hot chocolate taste of water don't ask how you can mess up a hot chocolate and in addition to this can they not stir a cup properly why can I find all of humanities problems hidden in the form a clumped up chocolatey mess at the bottom of my cup like please let me live, I already hate my life and your cup made it worse, let me enjoy my drink at least in addition to this as I had previously stated not enough variety in the store for example sometimes they run out of hot chocolate powder and expect me to go to another store I came to this store for a reason make it work ... this is mainly a problem for the smoothies however so sort it out.

Went here last Saturday and there was hardly anything on the shelf’s! I was very disappointed as I told my partner how preset food was good and they had a good selection- clearly only the central London branch’s have a selection.Also when we ordered the guy at the till dident have a clue - I spent £20 but it wa a waste of money, never again

Decent pret, went in for a coffee. For some reason they have put the tables really far away from the charging outlets which makes it impossible to charge your phone or laptop unless you are sitting in one or two spots. There was also a slight roof leak, chairs that needed bolts tightening and it just generally felt a bit run down.

No complaints at all. I come at least three times a week. Never disappointed 🙏 food can be much cheaper but it compensates for being homemade downstairs 🤷

I love your coffee and love your food ! But the way you serve I hate it ! Waste of time you serve one person by the time you could do at lest 2 or 3 customers! Example you take coffee order from a guy in front of me you make him wait so you won’t serve me and I only want sandwiches 🥪 it’s a waste of everyone time sometimes people order 3,4 coffee and the q is huge ! Think about how to speed up the service coz this doesn’t work

Had the Christmas Turkey and Ham soup but no Turkey or Ham in it, just a watery vegetable broth. Staff generally slow, if there a lot of people waiting for coffee they stand around rather than serving the rest of the queue.

Management seriously need to re-think their resource plan. There's always 4-5 staff standing around twiddling their thumbs and 1-2 actual baristas making coffee whilst customers are waiting for their drinks to be made. Twice I've had my order forgotten about... it really shouldn't be complicated.

We came here at 8.25am on saturday (the opening time is at 8.30am). There was a guy of the staff inside with the curly hair, and he open the door for a guy and a girl that was outside with us. So we ask if the place was open or they was opening in 5 minutes. The guy that was outside with us and he was entering, says that they are ""staff"" but they are not working, and that was just going inside.. and that we have to wait that the others of the staff because one member only can not open the bar. But then we saw from outside that they was having breakfast and talking with the staff guy. The customers waiting outside and the friend of the staff sit inside normally. Unacceptable.

Manager need to hire more staff.

My favourite pret, bar none. Staff are great and place is maintained to clean and hygienic standards at all times.

The poor excuse for a store manager with the badly- dyed red hair is a joke so no wonder most of the staff are so appalling, staff think they are more important than paying customers strangely …..

Friendly staff, but the reason for 3 stars is that no smoothies or chai latte for over a month.

My favourite pret ! The staff and management are wonderful,they converse and act human ..the place is regularly cleaned,staff are always maintaining the store and your never kept waiting for more than 5 Mins even when it's hectic...

We cam here for monthly subscription however, there was a lady with a red hair and she wasnt kind or welcoming ( she was very upset when we ask about the menu).unfortunately, we changed our minds.

The staff overall are nice , except for the lady with short red hair , agressive mannares,rude no customers service what so ever

Hi all, I’ve just been into Pret in Holloway Road and I’ve can say I have met the most pleasant , helpful Barista from across the world . Havier, I hope that is how his name is spelt. Was so welcoming when I approached the counter , a warm greeting with a smile asking me what I wanted . I then asked if they had toilet facilities, he said they had, he told me the code and said go use the toilet while my coffee was being made . On my return he said the coffee was on the house and he was able to give some coffees as a company policy . Regardless of the free coffee this guy is a genuine human being who is a credit to the human race. He has made my day . Thank you so much for your kind, generous hospitality.

Awful coffee ! Avoid. I threw my coffee in the bin. The coffee was very bitter even with 2 sugars, obviously they don't clean the coffee machine. The milk was burned and it didn't have any foam. They have no barista knowledge whatsoever.

Missing the frappes today :-/ there’s also customer service training missing in the areas of greeting the customer and being attentive. I got my mango smoothie but I was not pointed towards straws at the counter. I walked away to the sugar/stirrer station and had to ask the staff where are the straws. Seems that during pandemic staff lost common sense and will to do better. I do work in customer facing role, so comparing my approach to theirs is natural and theirs stick out in not the best way.

Red haired lady is the most rude obnoxious person ever. Has 0 customer service skills and talks to customers as if she wants to kill them.

Have to give credit where its due, the young Somali guy at the counter (sorry if I got that wrong) Always had great customer service from him which I cant say about other staff members. Patient, lovely, positive and goes the extra mile for customers and has great relationships with regular customers. I didn't hear my drink being called to collect usually they would be annoyed, he infact brang it to me which I really appreciate. Other staff members can learn from him as the reviews are mentioning for this Pret to work on customer service skills. keep p the good work and I wish you the best!

I went at the shop before the closure time and they refused to serve me a frappe’. I am a regular customer and the staff is always chatting with each other when customers are waiting. There is always a bad selection of food, with products missing every time. I visited other branches with better selection of food and staff much more friendly and faster serving customers.

Ideal location. Staff friendly enough but for one. I was a customer of this branch for many years and whenever I was served by a particular lady (cropped brown hair) it was always the same old rude, cold attitude. Never greeted or smiled unless I did and when she did it was blatantly artificial. I totally understand customer service can be stressful but this is NO excuse to treat customers in such a manner especially for all those years. It’s obvious it’s well past the sell by date for this particular team member to just move on and find some other job that she will actually enjoy doing. Maybe back of house roles will be better suited because her face to face service is extremely unpleasant, off-putting and bad for business.

Very cozy sitting. The minor disadvantages are there's only one restroom and it closes bit early at 16:00 on weekdays.

Professional staff, quick service and tasty coffee!

Imagine fresh healthy soups, imaginative sandwiches, and salads ready to eat. The only negative about Pret is that it is so popular that it can be difficult to find a seat. Perfect to take on a picnic, or on the run.

Super healthy food at very reasonable prices

Staff are always very friendly and helpful.

In the mornings its hard to find a sandwich, but the pastries are always warm and staff are efficient!

Great example of a pret, clean and tidy with friendly staff. Only downside for me was nowhere to plug my usb charger in while I stayed and had a chai, only a minor niggle but in this day and age something that I like to see, especially in a chain as established as this. Otherwise excellent.

Remains a good concept. Always new innovations in their shelves. Always pay a visit while visiting the UK. Saw new desserts, sandwiches. Seems like the 'normal' sandwich is disappearing a bit and making place for other bread related items.

The staff are friendly, but the place is tiny and very overcrowded by lunchtime. Very poor selection of sandwiches available given the masses of people who come in, meaning most sandwiches are sold out quickly - So they need to make more!! The bread of baguette I bought was so hard (not at all fresh, despite what they claim!), that it cracked the back of my incisor when I bit into it!! Now I need the dentist. Thanks Pret.

Nice customer service and good healthy food

Had a great start of the day, today 01.11.2018 going to Pret A Manger right before starting a long day at University, thanks to Eric for his great service.

Busy, expensive, staff often ask a question but don't listen when you answer. Still no food labeling. Meh.

Appalling customer service. Bought my lunch, Vegan falafel salad, coffee with soya milk and a vegan chocolate cookie. Back at my desk at lunchtime I realised I had been given a NON vegan cookie. When I tried to return the cookie, the manager in charge, Gabrielle, refused to reimburse me as I didn't have a receipt; I had the cookie in a pret bag though. She eventually gave me back the £1.45, as it was clear I wouldn't back down. Given the recent press coverage of their lack of clearly labelled allergens, I would of expected an apology rather than an argument. I gave 1 star as there is no option to leave 0 stars

It's excellent! Clean, healthy food choices and staff are very welcoming. I enjoy my little corners and having my favourite porridge!

Poor and very rude customer service!

Very bad customer service, like the other review noted. They're so awkward, I asked one question, she looked so miserable hardly no interest to answer. I can't eat certain food so what happened to Pret's so called very health conscious environment. I doubt I use this branch otherwise I love Pret.

Love it nice staff,great Food and Coffee

Great location, good choice for breakfast (porridge in a tub to go, hot brioche buns and more). The thing that ticks my box is the coconut milk option with pretty much all drinks (they do soya milk too). For anyone with a dairy intolerance, I can easily recommend it (well it worked for me). Would've been 5*, but my Vodafone coverage was almost zero. Maybe I was in a dead-zone, I was in a corner next to a pillar. Plus, I didn't notice any outlets to plug your laptop in. Maybe as there are a lot of students in the area, it might be a good thing.

Small but ok. Not much atmosphere basic coffee and sandwich shop. Better ones around the area.

Great place to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I love the fact that basically all the food served there is healthy and "homemade". Everything is always tasty and the ingredients seem to be quite fresh. The prices are quite affordable ane the variety of food is amazing. Vegan and vegetarian options are always available. The staff is always friendly and smiley, as in evert Pret A Manger shop. Although the location is in front of a uni, the place is never overcrowded nor noisy. WiFi is also available. Spaces are always clean (toilets included).

This place must have opened in the last few months and is conveniently located near to Holloway Road station. It is very light and bright with comfortable places to sit and chat and is used by a lot of local students to meet and work. The coffee was very good.
