Visited for Brunch, was charged to sit in even though they could see we had a small dog. As soon as we sat down informed us we couldn’t sit in with the dog and must leave despite charging us to sit in.

We stopped to pass some time in the afternoon sunshine, and sample their finest 99p filter coffee. It started off alright, when it was hot but as it cooled, it tasted worse and worse. I know it was only 99p but even when you spend a lot more money, the coffee rarely gets any better. You can walk into virtually any cafe in the states and they come out with a Kona coffee jug and pour out a cup of great coffee, for little money and more often than not, with unlimited refills. Why can't we do the same here.

It’s been a while since we last gave our local Pret a review. We have a subscription and visit before and after I finish work most days. Harvey the new manager is running a very tight ship and ensures the shelves are well stocked, drinks are served promptly and everywhere is clean and tidy. Waylan is so friendly and chatty even when he’s been on his feet after a busy shift. Amazing chai latte thank you so much. Nicola, Marta, Victoria, Waiwai always friendly and pleasant and Poppy loves you all. Thank you for all you do. Lynn

Not even one gluten free sandwich. There are so many people who can’t eat gluten, can you really afford to ignore them?!!

I often visit this Pret when coming up to visit my parents on the Quays. I must say this store really stands out in terms of the customer service, the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. I have been impressed by how efficient my visits have been, I have never had to wait for more than a couple of minutes for my order, and even in the busy periods (especially lunch time) the staff remain calm, friendly and attentive. The coffee is fab and I highly recommend the bacon and cheese twists! I have visited a number of times now, and got to know a couple of the staff memebers - Ewa, Isaac. Nichola, Wai Wai, Marcia and Waylon - always super friendly and I enjoy popping in on my visits to the Quays. Despite not visiting too often as I live down South, the staff always remember me and it feels very special that a big chain has retained its own sparkle of individuality. It is definitely the staff who make this store! With this being said, I was very disappointed to see the store manage, Agi, is no longer there. As the store manager she was the glue that held everyone together, and as a customer you could see how much the staff respected her and it was a lovely working environment. I was extremely saddened to hear that she is no longer at this particular branch. I do hope on my next visit she has returned and that I will be able to have a nice chat with her and the rest of the Pret team!

I always find the staff friendly even when busy and it’s spotlessly clean.. I’m not a dog lover so pick up on things quickly concerning hygiene etc and find nothing to complain about at all..

Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the drinks are always made exactly how we like them. We live on the Quays and make use of the excellent value subscription, coming here every day with our pet dog, Poppy. All the staff are amazing. Super friendly and very quick with the drinks. It’s a real pleasure to have this particular Pret on our doorstep with the excellent service all the team provide. Although all the staff are great, special mention must go to Aggy, Ewa, Waylan, Isaac, Nicola, Marcin. Apologies for missing some of you out but you don’t always have name badges on. Top marks all round.

This is a standard branch of Prêt, serving a range of quality food and drink. It’s been a regular place for lunch and coffee for me for several years. A glimpse into hygiene standards has put a stop to that though. Between 09:38 and 09:43 today, 6th April 2023; a large dog was sitting behind the service counter, in the area where food and drink was being prepared and served to customers. The three members of staff serving at the time seemed not to have a problem with this totally unacceptable breach of health and safety procedures. One server broke off bits of pastry items and fed them to the dog with her bare hands, before then continuing to prepare food for the human clientele. I was appalled, and won’t be returning.

I visit Media City Pret every day before and after work and it’s busy from opening to closing! The staff are fabulous - so friendly, attentive and absolutely hard working. Being on their feet the entire shift can’t be easy but they do it with a smile. It’s now under new management and Aggie is clearly doing a great job as manager - the sign of a good manager is an engaged and happy team which they clearly are. Ewa, Waylan, two new guys and the ladies (blonde and dark haired) sorry I don’t know your names - are all super pleasant and efficient. Everyone works so hard and even when queues are outside the door they are calm, professional and friendly. It’s one of the best Prets we’ve been to. We have the subscription so we’ve tried a few! The shop itself is always very clean and well stocked with a wide range of snacks, sandwiches and cakes/pastries. Our drinks are prepared to perfection. The tables are cleared and wiped almost immediately. Well done and thank you

As always, nice enough food at Pret (albeit a tad expensive), but not sure why certain individuals have an attitude… Sort it out.

My husband and I have a monthly subscription as we live in Media City. We visit the shop several times a day and it is always very very busy. The staff do their best as I can appreciate it is very hard work and they are on their feet all day. Special mention must go to Waylan who regularly serves us. He always remembers my order which is a bit complicated especially when they are busy - skinny weak chai latte extra hot in my own cup - he makes it to perfection and always has a smile and a quick word with us. There have been times when my order isn’t exactly as requested (never when Waylan prepares it) but that’s fine. As I said they are extremely busy and nobody is perfect. Also I should mention Ewa who is friendly and always has time to say hello to us and our black Labrador Poppy. Overall the service is efficient but feel it could be improved if some of the other staff were a bit friendlier especially as we are clearly regulars. A little nod of acknowledgement from time to time would go a long way. The environment is clean and tidy and there is always a great selection of sandwiches cakes and pastries.

I visited the shop many times before and I experience the same issues which is the cleanliness of the place , sticky tables, food and beverage spilled all over the place, bread crumbs everywhere and no staff would do anything about. It’s rather hard to enjoy a rather pricey meal when I’m sitting in other people’s mess. Other thing, the staff who make coffees are so rude that I need to hold myself back to ask whether why they have such a miserable face already 9 in the morning. As a waitress myself I learnt how to force that smile on my face even when life is being hard so I won’t make other’s life difficult as well. So if I could request a bit more kindness with my coffee I would really appreciate that. Lastly, I am 95% certain that the matcha latte should not contains green bits swimming around unless they haven’t done properly. Since that drink costs around £3,5 and being a special drink imported from Japan, I would expect some special care while preparing the beverage. I believe in these hard times we should be grateful to have a job and customers to serve so maybe a 60% more attention would be beneficial both for the staff pocket ergo for the company . Thanks

Spacious inside with everywhere being clean makes it a nice spot if you want to dine in, but of course there’s lots of places outside to perch up on a nice day. Stock levels are great at peak time but a little lacking if you arrive outside these times. Queues move fast with plenty of tills open and everyone friendly. For grabbing a bite quickly its what you’d expect.

I come in regularly with collegues for lunch and coffee most days, and there is one woman who is always so rude and moody, blonde manager. Whenever she serves us she is very rude and abrupt and talks to us like she doesn’t want to be there. I came in the other day and heard her shouting and berating staff members in front of all the customers, I couldn’t believe it. It made me and my friends feel very uncomfortable and think the many other customers felt the same way, the poor staff member looked like they were going to cry and they were clearly uncomfortable and embarrassed by this situation. This is not the first time I have witnessed this manager acting this way and it’s very unfair on the staff and makes the customers feel very awkward. After this experience now it is to much and I felt like I had to get in touch and tell you. Due to circumstances none of us will be coming back and will be telling our collegues to avoid too as no one should be treated that way.

Served by a lovely blonde scouse girl, so polite when taking my order. Turns out someone had taken my drink and there had been a mix up. An older blonde woman with an Eastern European accent who had made the drink kept shouting for someone to collect their hot chocolate. I asked her if it was with soya (I have a milk allergy). She shouted back: “No. No. Soy hot chocolate was gone ages ago. Go away.” I was completely taken aback, being shouted at in a room full of other customers. The younger girl who served me apologised and said there had been a mix up. The older woman then proceeded to make the hot chocolate with cows milk again and had to throw it away. Kudos to the two young girls working with her. They were lovely and seemed to have to tiptoe around her.

Just waiting for hubby to get my coffee and bam! Minding own business and a wasp stings me! Chance would have it some police officers were in the toilets so I asked them to get me some ice as they’d get served before me. The treatment and concern I got from them was amazing and so kind. The manager then came in and offered to call ambulance and the police hung around and told me to shout them if I felt unwell. The manager was amazing also and came out with first aid kit. My initial reaction was embarrassment for causing all this upheaval but more over whelmingly the kindness, concern and professionalism. A big thank you to Manchester police and manager of pret. 😊

come all the time for coffee and staff are usually really nice, however this time the male (apron on) made our visit awful. We have a subscription and with that there are signs everywhere that say a breakfast roll is £2 (rather than £3.50) included in our subscription… got to the till, the woman serving didn’t know why the price wasn’t coming down and he rudely interrupted and shouted that that deals gone. We told him there are signs up, but he didn’t honour those signs (one of which is on a board they have to physically put outside every day??) and was very rude to us. Didn’t end up having our breakfast roll :( Went to be served again and the same man shouted at the other girl on not to serve me since they had “so many deliveries”. He then shouted the same thing to me and rudely went “We have deliveries, we can serve you in 5”. Because of this the inside queue was waiting ages after we got served. This man was so rude, could tell he was stressing out all the other staff more then they should be. He wasn’t just rude to us too, he was rude to every customer we saw. He was wearing a white shirt which i assume meant he was a supervisor of some sort, however people facing small man syndrome definitely shouldn’t be in that position. If we come again and he’s the one serving, we like likely walk out. Props to the staff on shift for being able to deal with him all day …

Popped in for a cappuccino and it was ok! Very busy but well organised and clean. Staff work hard but still have time to smile. Definitely worth a visit. Only one observation, your bar codes on the tables don’t work when you try and scan them!

I absolutely love that you’ve accepted you were wrong with the the withdrawal of smoothies and you changed it back. Good on you Pret. Your service, food, drinks and staff are second to none. A forward thinking, modern business! Keep at it!

For the first time in months I decided to treat myself to a coffee instead of making one at home. I checked the website for opening times, it said 06.30. I was surprised that it was still opening that early, but, I went anyway. I got there at 07.48 and it was closed. Opening times on the door said 08.00. I didn’t have 10 minutes to wait for it to open, then wait for the coffee and then get to my destination. Very disappointing. The review is 2 because I don’t know enough about the place to give any better/worse but I know that the team are lazy enough to not get the website updated

I really don't know what's gone wrong here, it's the same grumpy people behind the counter the manageress actually tries to avoid eye contact, and says 'thank you' like 'please leave.' If you don't like people please don't work with them. The shoddy way you treat customers in the morning gets their day off to a poor start, at the moment EVERYONE is suffering. It used to be such a happy place with some lovely staff, and its a shame these days as the food is good.

I often use Prets around Manchester and find staff welcoming and cheery - customer service at its finest. However, this store has gone massively downhill in terms of staff. Hostile women - no greeting, no smile, shouting 'what' when you say your order. As per other reviews, not sure how they are still working here. Made the experience miserable!Also - face masks not worn properly when right over your food and coffee.

No issues with the food or drinks here.Unfortunately the two female staff would stop me returning, zero customer service skills, abrupt, no patience, unable to smile!However on the flip side the guy behind the counter (who seemed to be left to manage on his own a lot) was superb and should be running the place.

Had two coffees, first was ok, second one was terrible - but service from the female ( and I only stress female here to differentiate from the guy who served me the day before who couldn’t have been nicer and who I don’t include in this review) was bordering on resentful of me bothering her.So it was a surprise to see her being nice to certain customers that were obviously her friends. Or maybe it wasn’t a surprise. No social distancing or washing of hands or tables here. Delivery drivers coming in back and forth etc and no hygiene procedures so if you are covid vulnerable I would stay away. In reflection I would only go in here again if there was literally no alternative - and I even mean going in the local Costa before it!

Rudest service ever and asked to leave before we had finished eating/drinking. Had to take our items outside to finish them!

This place is nestled in Media City, not far from good old Auntie Beeb. I was meandering, as I tend to do, and I had walked across from the Lowry and had a mini tour of the wonderful Booth’s. The location gives it plenty of footfall and it’s surrounded by other restaurant chains. I only wanted a coffee and I barely got much chance to study the menu as a server with nothing to do kept cajoling me and waving at me to take my order. I had to tell the dear chap to try to calm down and to think of his blood-pressure, but to no avail. I ordered a regular sized cappuccino - organic coffee beans apparently - and £2.25 into a paper take-away cup. I had thought soup but if they had soup it wasn’t obvious to me. It had a few tables outside on the concourse, but the autumn chill meant I opted just to keep on meandering.

Called in with my wife for a coffee and sandwich, good service, friendly staff. very tasty sandwich with nice bread, plenty of filling, however the two coffees were amongst the worst we've ever tasted, considering we were drinking in I would have expected it to be served in a proper cup not a take away cup (doesn't look as though they have china cups), most uncivilised! If you're a coffee lover don't go here...

One of the first places I saw when strolling around Media City, Salford was my favourite snack bar chain. Overlooking the Manchester Ship Canal and serving a great range of sandwiches and sweet snacks, with outdoor seating, I enjoyed a pan au raisin and a coffee. Reasonable prices as well.

Our visit to Salford Quays coincided with Salford University graduation at The Lowry, so that by the time we completed the BBC Tour, all the various food outlets were crowded. Nevertheless we were able to find a table at Pret and although the queues at the counter were long, the staff were very efficient and welcoming and we were surprised how quickly we were served. Very good meals from the hot food range plus coffee set us up for our afternoon.

Group of teachers supervising geography fieldwork, Pret was a good place to consume hot drinks and nibbles as we remotely watched the students at work. Good selection of cakes and biscuits.

The best ever vegetable soup I had, tea always served warm and nice , pecan tart Always fresh, great place for snacks

Pret does what is says on the tin. Fresh and healthy food, This one is in a great location and therefore gets a better review from this person!!

very good service and great coffee sit inside or outside would go again. Next to Blue Peter garden and park so can sit outside and kids can play on park. plenty of choice on the menu.

Usual Pret quality in a wonderful location. Staff cheery, helpful and friendly - make sure you pop in if you’re in the area

This branch of the Pret chain is quite open to the elements for sitting outside but if you get a good day it is very pleasant. The sandwiches and wraps are fresh and tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. Pleasant enough to dine here but time your lunch as the BBC and ITV staff visit at lunchtimes and can create a queue.

Extremely disappointed with a particular member of staff’s customer service. This guy was making the drinks while the other man served, and has a face like thunder the whole time I was there, as he does EVERY time I see him working there. He didn’t smile once, didn’t say thank you to customers... nothing! And to make matters worse he only filled cups 3/4 full! Absolutely appalling behaviour his emplyment should seriously be reconsidered... not the kind of person that should be working in customer service. It’s a shame because all the other staff members are so nice and welcoming, but his presence really puts me off going in.

Just wanted a sandwich coffee cake etc for lunch. Just got in before the midday crowds. My wife is just starting to experiment with a gluten free diet. The staff were very helpful to make sure she found something suitable for lunch, getting their ingredients book out and taking the time to go through things. I was quite impressed here.

Very busy outlet for this chain of snack food shops. Luckily got in early and managed to get a seat.

I’m a regular here not just the setting but the staff here really make a difference with their polite and friendly customer experience.

I have been visiting this place almost every day since its opening. The reasons why I go there (not in particular order) are: great staff - friendly, welcoming and always making my stay special, delicious food, healthier than all other on-the-go options I can think of, nice location and ambience, and great coffee!

#uncouthcoffeechain no proper plates, food served on paper sheets and coffee served in paper cups whilst eating in! Other coffee chains do so why don’t they?

My number 1 go to for vegan fast food. The avocado and chipotle chickpea salad wrap is dynamite! Absolutely fantastic. I also tried a dark chocolate and almond butter cookie. They are so delicious I had to go back and get one for the road. Don’t stop Pret A Manger, I wish there were a location close to my house.

The media city area is somewhat desolate. Pret A Manger is a lifesaver. Bright friendly and first class food. Filter coffee 99 pence and a well priced egg and bacon muffin, that was actually hot. Well done !

So happy we now have a Pret at Media City. Still sad that they don't stock my favourite lemon muffin that I can buy in London's Pret. Great staff always welcoming.

Welcome cup of coffee and Danish pastry. Service quick and efficient with good indoor and outdoor seating area. Clean and tidy

Went for lunch had delicious crayfish and avocado salad and soup with roll which was all delicious. It was fresh and tasty. The dressing on the salad was good . Had a decaffeinated coffee with soy milk again good quality. Plenty of seats at 12 noon but it soon got busy . The range of sandwiches and salads is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful . One of our group found her coffee was cool and it was changed with no fuss . Will definitely come back .

This is a buzzing place at lunch time but we managed to get a table fairly quickly. Most people are grabbing something on the go so its not much of an issue. The staff were very friendly and quick to grab your attention to serve you at the tills. All the usual Pret goodies to satisfy your cravings! Coffee is decent too.

Went in for coffee which was good but were sorry we had already had lunch elsewhere as the sandwiches in particular looked good and inexpensive.

Nice breakfast pots, tasty coffee and friendly staff. Plus 50p off if you bring a reusable cup! Lovely.

Good selection of fresh tasty food.All diets catered for and at a reasonable price.Clean and comfy with enough space to eat in. Enjoyed what we had and will return.

My wife and I had just done tour of the BBC studios and had some time before going watch Mastermind at said studios. We called in for a sandwich and a coffee. Both sandwiches were good, the filter coffee was very good and only 99p.

Stock of vegetarian alternatives was low. Just picked up whatever we could get. Quality of course was standard

you know Pret, fresh sandwiches, quick service and happy to hekp staff...this branch is no different, even if the queue is out the door, you're done in under 3 or 4 minutes
