My fav pub in the whole world, love hanging out here with my friends and bringing my family and dog there! Cherry Chouffee on tap!!! Best pub ever!

Went to take part in a couple of escape rooms. Despite a couple technical difficulties with one of the rooms it was a fun day out and i would recommend it to anyone with some time to kill.

Really cool place physically but let down by really obnoxious staff. I’ve never seen staff so eager to seem cool and just ending up plain rude. Such a shame as the place itself seems fun

We came in to use the toad in the hole room and have a couple drinks (29/03). We had one pint and our friend was then refused service, despite us having not left our table, because “it looked like we were pinging off our nut”. We had no idea where this had come from and were effectively sober having only had one drink. When we all challenged this, we weren’t given a clear explanation as to why the bartender felt this. We offered to be searched or engage in a proper conversation, but were told the opinion was non-negotiable. I’ve never experienced anything like this and it was incredibly rude with no basis for any accusations. Couple pints turned into a pretty somber evening, thanks to some really unpleasant service. Absolutely ridiculous.

The waiter was very nice and Spanish. A very curious and charming place. It had an arcade video game room and covered interior terrace. Honestly, a very charming place that you have to visit if you come to Brighton.

Didn't eat so can't rate that but drinks, service and crazy bonkers decor were all top notch

Great bar with friendly staff - especially Abbi .. good selection of beers and nice toasties too .. the beer garden out back has some beautiful street art too

My favourite coffee shop/pub in Brighton. A nice, quirky little local to do some writing work. They have a happy hour on weekdays where a schooner of Guinness is just £3.30. A bargain for Brighton standards. Very much appreciated!

Estábamos allí para la sala de escape. Éramos una familia (crecida) de cinco personas conocido por un encantador amigo Django que desconectado para ser nuestro anfitrión. El escape room era divertido y todos nos divertimos mucho. Logramos completar la misión con algunas pistas de Django, que fue cuidadoso con la cantidad de ayuda que nos dio; no más de lo que necesitábamos, solo lo suficiente para mantenernos en marcha. Lo recomendaría a fondo.

Tuvimos un tiempo increíble como un grupo de 3 resolviendo los acertijos en la sala de escape. Muchas gracias a nuestro anfitrión Django que explicó las reglas claramente y fue una buena risa. Gran experiencia alrededor

Ed’s has been a Brighton stalwart for quite sometime now and to make the transition to an evening venue and bar from the coffee shop is a welcome one. There’s always a good choice of beers available from Budvar (lager and dark) to La Chouffe, along with a good amount of bottles. There’s always a nice alternative feel to the place which is welcoming. They often have DJs or live bands at weekends which have all been pretty good. Staff are friendly and prices fair. A really good venue day or night.

Classic form of discrimination at this place. They said you have to be seated to have a drink as a large group of 8 stood next to us drinking. Discrimination shows its head in many ways, avoiding places like this will give the people power

Great coffee shop and awesome escape room! I did the escape room (escape the vault) with my 9 year old son and we both loved it! Definitely recommend and looking forward to doing escape the cell there at some point!

Great escape room! Not as big as some others but great value especially as it's in a real old bank Vault. Great hosts and helpful bar staff.

Hands down the best cafe in Brighton! Ed’s is home to the heart of the creative community, serves great coffee and (alcoholic) beverages and is home to three escape rooms as well. Staff are kind, management are incredible humans. Rumour has it those that step foot in 114-115 London Road never truly leave again …..

Love going to Presuming Ed’s, the coffee and food is always really good, they play good music, and I’ve enjoyed all the escape rooms I’ve done there!

Went for an escape room event. Didn't really enjoy it. They said get there 10 minutes early , we did but were kept waiting. Escape room only £17 p.p but 8 is too many in a little pokey, dimly lit room and clues were half missing and all numbers mostly. Boring.

Came here for the Escape the Cell escape room, we had a great experience!! It was surprisingly much more difficult than we expected but still lots of fun! Theo was great, really interactive and supportive when we needed hints. Would highly recommend :)

Love the place, usually go for a tea, all round great vibes.

Ed's is a Brighton institution and blends the best of coffee shop and pub into one quirky place that is down to earth and has something for everyone.

Excelente pub pero dolorosa geografía interna. Las mesas y las sillas están muy juntas, lo que significa que soy capaz de espiar a mis vecinos. Esto no debería permitirse ya que soy extremadamente entrometido. Buena selección de frinks. Tenía cuatro diferentes. Una habitación en el edificio es una vieja caja fuerte. Fui en él y conocí a un fantasma.

Came here just at opening time for coffee and a vegan toastie. Both decent, served with a smile and reasonable value. The place is very left field and 'nuts' but in a great way, quirky is an under statement! Liked it though music way too loud for me for the morning. Still would return and like that its a cafe and bar hybrid, while I didn't have a beer the choice was decent craft

One of my favourite spots for meeting with besties. They just need to have decaf coffee in more haha.

I had one of the best coffees I’ve ever had here. It’s a big statement I know but it was so good! I had an oat milk latte.

This place is a great spot. It perfectly balances being a bar and a coffee shop. Whether your working in the day and looking to get out the house, meeting freinds for a coffe, or grabbing a beer at night it's got a great atmosphere to hang. The selection of soft drinks is also great - you can get Fritz cola and a german coffee drink that I forget the name of. The service and atmspohere is great, the querky decorations are always changing, and they occasionally do stand up comedy and live music, which is always good to see.

I really enjoyed the escape room didn't have food but the place is wheelchair friendly downstairs

Really nice place with an amazing interior, it's like walking inside a real life collage! It's really entertaining reading the stories written on the wall in the toilet. Made my toilet visit longer than expected. Also a few strong Belgian beers hihi

Great escape room and a nice pint on completion. A great bar and roof top terrace. Nick was great as our host and Will was very helpful in refunding us due to a couple of members not being able to make the booking. Thank you!

one of my go to places in Brighton, want coffee? they make great coffee. Want a drink? they have plenty of choices. Staff is fast and friendly! Prices are what you expect in Brighton. The atmosphere is 10/10, each table is different, so many cool details and decorations, different rooms. The music is also great and they have wifi! I highly recommend.

Lovely vegan Thali for around £12. Great value for money, really filling. been there a couple of times and found the staff to be friendly. Even the chef came out to say hi.

Either have a pint, cup of coffee, work with laptop, watch some gigs: this is the place for them. Open everyday and until late. It’s a bit quirky and I love particularly their dirty chai (best in town). The staffs are nice too!

I cannot represent and review the food, however the atmosphere and drinks in this pub are amazing. The place is so groovy and you could spend a long time just looking at the tiny details. If your a beer drinker then highly recommend the house schooner which is 2/3 of a pint with a good cost. It's become my favorite and local pub

I can't hate this place despite really sucky filter coffee and croissants.

Excellent Fun led by the lovely Theo. We managed to escape fairly quickly and could always rely on Terrence for help or clues if needs be. Would definitely come again to tackle the other two escape rooms. Was recommended about a 'furby room' by Theo.

Awful bouncer. Said I was ugly in my ID picture and stood by what he said when I questioned him (in outrage, of course). Please get a new bouncer, made me feel super uncomfortable and had to leave shortly after, which is a shame as I’m a regular there.

Love the venue but had an unfortunate experience tonight. As my friend was getting their ID checked on the door the bouncer was extremely rude. He expressed that whilst my friend was beautiful now that they were ugly in their ID photo. The photo was taken a year before when they had short hair. Upon asking the bouncer why he had said this he rolled his eyes and sarcastically apologized causing my friend to become visibly upset and leave. The bar tender we spoke to about the event was lovely and helpful. However, the bouncers actions were unacceptable.

Nice and interesting place to have a drink. I had only hygiene issue about the place, and toilets that flush did not work.

Rude staff, rude bouncers, had to leave straight away. Bouncer was overly flirtatious and turned rude when rejected.

Firstly I’d like to apologise on my partner’s behalf for pinching the banana phone that was hanging from the ceiling. Secondly I’d like to say that this is one of my my favourite places to drink in Brighton. Staff are lovely, decor is great, I had a glass of wine replaced for me without asking after someone wandered in and pinched it and the music is great. I’ve also seen some interesting bands play here too. Really great place, full of character with a good atmosphere. Thanks and sorry.

more than just a coffee shop, I see presuming eds as a hub of life and activity, the food is incredible, the coffee is murderously good, there arent many coffee shops ive been in where i can look at any wall and see something entirley diffrent. covered in stickers doodles and drawings pres eds represents the underground/alt and arty brighton.

Presuming eds has been through many graduations starting as a coffee shop (a great one at that) to now, a kitchen, bar, club.. what ever you need really! Serving budvar (seems hard to come by these days). You get a great experience for a decent price.. highly recommended, if you are going for food check before going as I think the kitchen has varying days/hours of service. I have only been for breakfast and have an inclining that maybe breakfast/ brunch is all the kitchen does. Don't take my word though give it a go you will be hard pressed not to have a good time.

Really good atmosphere, good value happy hour drinks options. Great vegan food options, we got a brunch deal for coffee and a vegan croissant for £3.50 which I was really impressed with.

A delicious light lunch at Eds today. I Really enjoyed the toasted bagel with grilled halloumi , chilli relish and rocket. The beetroot hummus with poached egg on toasted sourdough bread looked great and tasted as good too. All washed down with a lovely cuppa tea 😋

Presuming eds new breakfast menu is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Damn, those wild garlic mushrooms with the full English breakfast and avocado and halloumi bagel with chilli jam is simply divine. Presuming eds has always had a great reputation for food but now I'm not going to be able to keep away.

Abbiamo prenotato in questo posto una escape room! L'ambientazione è una cella di una prigione dalla quale devi scappare. L'abbiamo svolta in 4 persone! Al tuo arrivo una ragazza simpaticissima ti spiega le regole del gioco, dopodiché ammanetta in sequenza ognuno dei partecipanti e da qui inizia il conto alla rovescia per uscire dalla cella. Molto divertente! Con l'aiuto di un walkie-talkie, trovato nella stanza, abbiamo avuto qualche suggerimento per risolvere gli enigmi. Il locale è veramente pazzo! Stra pieno di oggetti che spuntano da tutte le parti!

Great coffee and amazing interior

The coffee is the best on London road, maybe Brighton! Staff are wonderful, the music is perfect, brilliant bangers all day. Not to mention gorgeous food and endless entertainment from the decor.

What a fantastic atmosphere in there had an amazing evening 31/3/23 danced the night away with lovely people and the landlord Richard is well nice 👍 xx

Ed’s is a must visit venue if your looking for a banger of a breakfast. One of the best vegan breakfasts I’ve ever had. The scrambled tofu was epic, how do you make it so good? Portion size was perfect too. Served with a smile and great tunes, I’ll definitely be back very soon.

GREAT escape room of trying to bust out of the real life bank vault from this buildings previous life. Awesome. The bar also looked nice and lively with an excellent decor and vibe!

Love this place. Staff are total sweethearts, and their coffee is delicious (if a little on the small side). Also; the vegan Breakfast Bap is an absolute shagger.

Great place with great staff, the rum and cokes taste so yummy and also the chai lattes during the day! The venue is so unique and cool I love it. The staff are great kind and accommodating what a great spot for a drink wowie! 5/5*

Love this pub so much, it has fast become my local. The staff are all lovely and the prices are more than fair. Love their little smoking area out the back where they provide blankets etc... Would highly recommend to anyone who fancies a bit more of a quirky atmosphere

Quirky and fun decor, friendly staff, very reasonable prices for drinks considering the location. Very relaxed and friendly vibe throughout with a roomy sheltered outdoor smoking area. Good music, handy location and just what an eclectic, fun drinking emporium should be. Definitely worth checking out.

Visiting here today with the family. This venue is a hidden gem for foodies. The best Sunday roast I have had in a long time! The venue is very quirky and offers something different from the norm. I had the roast pork belly which was beautifully cooked, the meat was moist and tender and the crackling was probably the best I have ever had. The accompanying roast potatoes, onions, shredded cabbage and leek and baby carrots on a bed of pureed were equally delicious. All this was presented on the plate in a equally pleasing style. Other members of the group had the roast chicken , nut roast and roasted squash and all were equally delicious. The five clean plates at the end says it all. The coffee was very good too. All served up with an efficient and friendly staff.

A fantastic sunny roast ! One of the best and most tasty vegetarian roasts I’ve had ! Also the meat options were very good. Very well sourced local produce - and a great portion size
