Premier Inn Watford North hotel in Watford

Perfect location for our visit to the Harry Potter Studios. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We stayed the Friday and Saturday night during the Easter weekend and were left an Easter egg which was a really nice touch. Would recommend.

This hotel is the perfect location if you are planning on going to the WB Studio Tour. The rooms are very dated, but okay for a night. The food at the place downstairs, is not really that great. I would definitely eat somewhere else. That is also another con, there are not a lot of places to eat close by, unless you love McD's.

Restaurant is what you would expect, but staffing was minimal one lady doing table service, bar, and front counter and and problems. We did have a family room which is well sized and expected for a budget hotel. Location looked bad behind a closed tgi Fridays that looked run down. Our room had a TV but it didn't work even after seeing the lady in bar for new batteries but did not help and as she was so busy we felt she would not have been able to help anymore like there was no team to support her or help us. The TV has cables falling out the wall behind TV and showing below TV and may have been why it could not work. We were disappointed it did not work but was lucky we had a tablet to watch but not the same as a TV.

If you are looking for night close to Warner studios this might do. Rooms are very old and smelly, bathtub was disgusting as the shower head is fixed so cleaning ladies cannot properly clean the tub. Heating is by A/C unit and its either hot or cold in the room. Bed was worn out with hole on the left side of the bed. Breakfast is ok but do not order the scrambled eggs as they are powder disgusting watery yukkk

We stayed here for the harry potter studios as its literally about 5 mins down the road. It's nothing flashy but our room was nice and comfortable and clean. The staff on reception and the guy running the restaurant were very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast itself was outstanding! I can't comment on the noise others have mentioned as we didn't have an issue during our stay,I'm not a heavy sleeper and can't recall being awoken once. One thing I would say is,the comments about the derelict tgi Fridays in front of the hotel are absolutely bang on,as much as this is completely out of the hotels control, it looks terrible. We returned to the hotel in the dark one evening and the narrow entry beside the empty building was actually pretty eerie,fine when you reach the hotel car park,but the few seconds you're out of sight of the road and the hotel might be enough to put some folk off.

Recommended for those using the Harry Potter Studio Tour. I was on the studio tour until 10pm. It was late at night, so I used it on my way home. It would take about 40 minutes to walk from the studio tour, so I took a taxi. If you take a taxi, you will arrive in about 10 minutes. 【room】 ・It's spacious and beautiful. As expected from a chain hotel, I had the impression that it was very neat and tidy. ・There is no water in the rooms, but there is a water server at the reception. ・The bath is a bathtub type. Can be used as both shampoo and body soap. There are no amenities, so I think it would be better to bring your own. ・There is a TV. [Whole hotel] ・The receptionist was polite and kind. ・I felt like the security was good. ・Breakfast is said to be included for £10.99, but I didn't include it. I think you don't have to wear it. There is a McDonald's within a 5 minute walk.

Overall, I was not impressed. The room had notiable damage to the walls, marks on the carpet, the hairdryer wasn't working and there was rubbish on the floor upon arrival. Also the TV kept dropping out. Which is not what I expect from Premier Inn (Maybe would expect it from a Travelodge, because I would pay a lot less). We also had 2 lamps by the mirror, which already had lights it was very odd. However the staff were AMAZING!!! The location was fine for what we needed, as it was next to a Macdonalds, and we only stayed 1 night. It did feel unsafe, and so we ensured that our car was parked in view of our room. I think that if we needed to spend the night in Watford we would look for somewhere else because of the cost of the room for the quality just wasn't there.

Stayed at the hotel over the weekend as we visited Harry Potter World and wanted to wake up refreshed to start the day without 3 hours of travel - to be honest I would have been less tired if I had saved my money and stayed at home and drove the 3 hours! Great location as it’s only 7 mins away from Harry Potter world but if you are anything but a very heavy sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all! Hardly any soundproofing.. could hear the door to the stairs being closed ALL NIGHT! Not just by one guest but every single person who came in and used the stairs.. or closed their room doors! This was on our floor, the floor above and the floor below! Literally was woken up every 4-5 minutes with a door closing somewhere. Even went to check to make sure it wasn’t one/group of guest being disruptive so I could report it - it wasn’t! It was every guest who entered the hotel! Unable to report to reception as I didn’t want to be on the phone every 5 mins and they wouldn’t have been able to stop every guest from coming in. Spoke to worker during breakfast and they advised yes it is unfortunately a very noisy hotel. Guest relations were unhelpful after reporting - so I wouldn’t recommend booking here if you want a good nights rest before a long day at Harry Potter World! Spend the extra money on a nicer hotel if you don’t want to start your tour sleepy :)

Honestly it’s quite run down and understaffed. Rooms are basic with no USB plugs for charging devices. Food is awful and very little selection of foods. Improvements needed

Couldn’t find the hotel for about five minutes Then when we had dinner the fish wasn’t cooked staff member cooking the food when we said it wasn’t cooked she said “ shut up It is cooked and it’s no big deal “ No chef ,don’t come here 0/5 And also don’t go in room 212

Great staff a credit to Premier Inn. Helped us and our 2 children as zircon was down in our room .quiet clean and so close to Harry potter world and restaurants easy to find off the m1 plenty of parking 2 day stay so enjoyable
