I can't imagine better staff than this from hammer in hand,so pleasure and kind, and they know exactly what you need 🫶

Come all the way from austalia and this pub was close to where i was. I really wanted to visit the british pub scene and it did not disappoint. Had some excellent guinness and great service. The locals were brilliant to talk to. Highly recommend.

We went to funeral the other day. Place clean,toilets good standards.

Stopped in whilst waiting for my customer (who had gone to Warner Bros Studio) the staff & the locals were very welcoming & friendly. I had a great afternoon playing pool with the lads. Will definitely go back again if I'm in the area.

Clean Well run pub with very good service

Popped in waiting to go harry potter world had a laugh and a joke because we were from Wales and they gave us a round on the house cant fault it,if ever looking for a pub with nice beet garden and nice pint pop into here,lovely people.woukd definitely come again.

Nice good size pub. Nicely decorated. Pool table and dart board to play on with fruit machines and juke box and has big tv for live sport .and sometimes live music on the weekend.friendly staff

Drink in the hammer quite often. Lovely little pub were everyone is generally quite friendly. Tonight however, the lady serving us in the pool room was between two bars so was busy! She asked who needs me, we responded us beautiful (bear in mind, we have a pre existing relationship that allows those boundaries and laughs). Out of nowhere, this little girl, probably not even old enough to be behind a bar comes forth to say the words ‘call her that again and I’ll glass your face’.I was taken aback if I’m honest as a 6ft+ man I’m not going to react to a child. I have been told this is the owners daughter. If I ran a pub, I’d be disgraced by this behaviour as it’s only going to cause friction and lose of revenue. Think I’ll take my business to a different pub now. Well done love. Stop threatening people until your at least 4ft.

Very helpful and friendly when I needed somewhere for a wake for my Dad's funeral. I was very grateful for this. Lovely atmospherethat helped to make a sad day a special day.

Expensive but unique atmosphere and close to the dock.

I have been here before in summer had fish chips out side if want meal on Sunday you book table there do two seating 12noon 2pm or 2.30pm food Sunday beef yorkshire pudding roast potatoes and pea carrots. It was lovely food with my family

Our family booked The Hammer In Hand for a wake yesterday. Staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Prices were extremely reasonable and the food served was fresh with a great variety of rolls. The whole day was made so much easier with the great service we received from everyone there. Thank you. I could not recommend this place highly enough.

Great pub with reasonably priced drinks. Friendly and down to earth staff. Great garden that gets busy in warm weather. Bar food served that's ok.
