Popped in for a quick drink and ended up having a meal on a Sunday afternoon. Very (very) good atmosphere, nice food and great service with a smile. This is how pubs should be. Praise to all the staff and patrons who frequent this establishment.

Went for a carvery today and took my sen son for a meal who is autistic he couldn’t eat his dinner as he felt it was too busy for him to cope with I asked the manager if I could take it home in a pot he was very rude and said he not bothered if I come bak there again to eat and was gave a paper pot in the end the was no need to be so rude only asked for a pot as my son not touched his dinner bad management would never eat there again and if you have sen kids I wouldn’t waste your money there terrible attitude for a manager. Just to recap we did not stay there for 1hour 45 minutes we ate and went and your manager was very rude and wasn’t happy about giving a paper box and we took 1 dinner home which was paid for not excessive food at all and the 5 people on the table were family never stayed for 1 hour 45 minutes at all.Bad management rude.we took one small Plate for a child that’s not excessive food at all the plates are small and we didn’t know how busy it was going to be and your manager told me he wasn’t bothered if I come back really rude we was there for less than a hour the food was paid for any where else wouldn’t of been a problem.

Seemed lovely staff. Problems came when my mixed grill came and I had asked for well done steak. It was black hard and full of pepper like they had dropped the pepper corns on to it. I tried 1 piece and was chewy and way too much pepper.I went to the bar to ask the waitress she came after 4-5 minutes by that time I was eating the rest. She said do you want another as in full meal or something else. I said dessert then please. After she went I found a hair I didn’t want to cause a scene so just carried on around that part. Dessert was lovely but those 2 things put me off as I hate confrontation but I was so disappointed in my steak. I was meeting an old work friend so was embarrassing. Place was clean and chips was lovely.
