The room that I was initially given was not fit for any purpose. The room was so full of damp that it had seeped into all the bedding. We arrived late on the Friday night due to traffic and felt the bedding was just very cold. The air in the room was stifling and made my chest wheeze. We went out for the day and on our return to the room the bedding once again felt wet. On closer inspection of the room we saw several areas of damp and mould in the room. I went to reception and explained and asked for another room. I was told the only room they had was a double and single bed. They went on to say that they could not fit another bed in there I returned to my room extremely annoyed and decided I would take a pillow to show them how damp it was. I asked if there was another hotel nearby and they checked to see if there were any spaces but it was full. Then one of them said they would move the pull out bed into the room I was originally told couldn't house another bed. The other receptionist then made a series of excuses as to why it couldn't happen. She did not care about my family and I being in a damp room. Thank you to the beautiful strawberry blonde who stuck her neck out to resolve the situation. She was so uninterested that when her colleague was try to move the bed, she stood there watching and had to be told to help. The room we moved to was the same size as the one we left. It was like a palace in comparison.. They even had the cheek to charge me for an unfit room which isn't acceptable... This is the worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed at. The Beefeater!! Breakfast on Saturday was lovely. Atmosphere was not too bad. In the evening we went there for dinner and the experience was atrocious. The manager/shift leader was awful. The restaurant was not very busy. There were lots of free tables on the ground floor. She walked us to the balcony area away from everyone else which made us feel uncomfortable. Several people came in after us and they were seated in the main area. The only family of colour in the restaurant were placed out of sight. When we were discussing how it appeared our waitress said something to her and then another family were placed up there. The food was poorly cooked and not much was edible. The pizza and McCheese were the only edible foods. Unfortunately, we had the same person in charge when we came back for breakfast. She was extremely rude in the way she addressed me when I was trying to explain that I had moved rooms and that my breakfast was already paid for. We were late getting there as my autistic child had a few issues this morning. She told me I had lost my spot and would have to wait. Once seated the table next to us did not get cleared until jus before we were leaving. So, although seated in a more public areai we were still being segregated. The breakfast today was not as nicely prepared as yesterday either. It is safe to safe, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone and I would not stay there on any future trips.

Stayed here as we were attending an 80’s event at the assembly rooms. Location of the hotel was fantastic. Easy walking distance to castle and town. Staff were really friendly, rooms spotless with comfortable beds and breakfast was amazing… will definitely use again

I work out of Sutton Coldfield a lot, and if Tamworth Central is not full, I always book here. It is popular the staff are so friendly and helpful. Next door is the Lady Bridge Beefeater, and one of the best Beefeaters, in my opinion. Over the road in view of the seating area is Tamworth Castle within a medieval town centre, great half mile stroll to get your steps in. It is so refreshing to take in a bit of history from built-up and modern. In the opposite direction, Ventura Retail Park, with everything there, Sainsburys, Superdrug, Primark, B&M... everything.

Spent a couple of nights. I was surprised the main road didn't intrude on a good night's sleep, but apart from the few formula 1 wonabees before midnight, it was good. Good location for walking into Tamworth, which had a St George day medieval enactment taking place on the castle grounds. Which was really rather good and free 😮. Only ate breakfast in the beefeater restaurant, which was good, no complaints.

The location is perfect for Drayton Manor. I wouldn't stay here again but look at other options. As soon as we we entered the room it smelt of damp and mould. It had mould at the bottom of the walls and on the ceiling and windows. Lucky we only stayed for the night but wouldn't recommend this place!

Hotel is easily accessible. Room and breakfast were without complaint. The employees are all friendly and accommodating. Bathtub and bathtub shower are available. There is a TV, but unfortunately there are no German channels. Otherwise I can recommend the hotel. Top.

Popped in on the off chance and ordered a cheese salad sandwich on brown bread. Asked for salt n pepper and then got into a conversation about the importance of seasoning to make a great sandwich. Needless to say it was delicious 😋 bread super soft and tasty, salad fresh and crisp. 10/10
