Worst kebab iv ever eaten ,meat so dry we couldn't even swallow it, not edible,,this chippy was amazing at one point,,but recently absolutely shocking, time to find a decent chippy in our area

I want to give it a good review but considering there are so many staff the service is shocking. I waited 30 minutes for two fish and chips, the woman in front of me waited 20 for a portion of chips on her way home from work. it seems to me that they focus on all of the telephone orders more than the walk-in customers so you may be better off ordering online but you will pay a little bit more as the price are inflated which is common practice across the platforms. For last-minute dinner I would not pop here and I will travel a little bit further and go to another one of the two or three fish shops in the area where there service is a quarter of the time of the Belgrave fish bar shame really because it used to be really good however They need to sort out their service.

Ordered usual 2 donor kebabs OMG soooooo greasy and thick .been going for yrs and have the usual biut when asked for wafer thin.got home and it was soo thick and not tasty or appetising to say the least. Won't be having them again if that's how bad they are for the price absolutely disgusting.piyta was so doughy andeat way to thick ..not happy at all

Got order wrong, wouldn't refund, wanted to take it off next bill, doesn't help when one person has no food today. Stated they couldn't deliver the missing food. Wanted the customer to do all the running around to make up for their mistake. Won't be back again.

Just spent almost £10 on pie, chips, and sausage for the dog, chips were hard, cold and vile, pie was burnt, waited outside so didnt see what we had until we.got home, messaged to complain, very rude reply then blocked me. Place has seriously gone downhill, avoid

Slow service. Arrived with no customers and waited 20mins+ plus for chips fish bites and kebab. Extremely over cooked fish and chips think we got bottom of the bag scraps. Very disappointing.

I asked for a tray of mixed meat I didn't mention chips with it hence me ordering the bag to go with my tray of mixed meat to get home to find I have mixed meat and chips in one tray! It makes the chips all soggy hence why I asked for just a tray of mixed meat! Won't be using it again!

I remember when this was the best chippy in Tamworth. The food was always good and tasted fresh. It was the only one we recommended. I don't know if the guy in charge has left but the chips are just ok. Even when you have waited for them to be cooked they are dry as if they have been reheated. The staff were always smart and very professional. Now they are messing around and being silly instead of paying attention to your order. Our order was mixed up again today. Today I found out there's meat in the curry sauce. That's something I didn't know but there was a piece of meat in there. I'm not a meat eater so that's finished me off. I have chippies that are closer and are now about the same quality.

Clean place with plenty of staff and the food is great

Chips are really gross. They got our order wrong thankfully as we ordered 2 small chips only got one. Tried some chips and they went in the bin. Hard and dry. Totally disgusting. My son described them as if you leave them out overnight and tried them again in the morning. We all know how mingin they are... How do you want your kebab meat sir? Not incinerated thanks. Ok incinerated it is then! Had a wrap which was like 90% salad 10% greasy meat. Sausages and fish are lovely. But chips; chips being the base of a chippy needs a LOT of work. Only went here as Oceans was closed and didn't want to drive to George's chippy. Thoroughly disappointed with the chips. Spent £2.45 to feed the bin. I'm surprised the bin didn't reject them. Food always delicious, excellent staff and service

Just bought 2 bags of chips £9.60, came home opened the bags and genuinely not fit for the bin. Absolutely disgusting, overcooked and very very dry. Would not advise any to eat here . Awful

Just purchased a cone of chips for 2 45 and they were chewy and old being all shrivelled up. They were uneatable , clearly old chips . Had to throw them in the bin as vile. Wasted my money .

Not used this chippy for over a year but it has always been a favourite. However, whilst there was plenty of food - huge bag of chips - they were very dry and thin and had lots of scraggy end bits in. Really disappointed. The service was quick though and the premises looked spotless.

Best chip shop in Tamworth all the standard goodies, just tasting so good. My favourite is the tandoori chicken wrap or kebab tasty chicken done to perfection 👌 also on request, they do a battered chocolate fredo.

Recently started using this chip shop, and the food is outstanding. Everything is fresh. Chips are cooked to perfection. Batter on fish and sausages is crisp and crunchy. Plenty of food for the price. Best chippy in this area by far. Highly recommended.

Just want to say I haven’t been to this chippy in a while but I’m glad I did as the food was lovely! My daughter munched off a chicken meat and chips and I had a chicken burger. We love the chips! Never had a bad meal and the same lads who’ve been working there for years are very friendly so fab service! Will be back

I hold my hand up that we were nearly 10 mins late picking food but no way would the chips look or taste as bad as they did if they had been cooked fresh as requested. I rang up and asked to speak to the manager to complain about the state of the chips the food in general but did nt really get the chance as he put the phone down on me as he used the excuse that we were 10 mins late ... the food was cold as well as being poor in quality and presentation. Oh and let's not fotget poor customer service . Took a picture to prove it but can't post on this system !

How gutted when u order mix kebab 🥙 with all salad and recieve no salad. Order was 36 pound for 2 kebabs and chips for 🚚. Kebab with no salad is like fish with no chips. Saturday night treat after 6 day wk absolutely gutted. Won't be going here again as obviously no one cares. See them cleaning up half hour before closing. Glascote chip shop no 1

Had fish and chips with curry sauce,the curry sauce was like tipping water on my chips and it tasted of nothing.the chips were thin and rock hard.will not be buying anything from here for a long time. Fish was nothing special.

Food was great, intact nkt my regular F&C shop but Certainly would go back. Best Keebab, meat and chips I have had for a while! I turned up earlier than my collection time due to me passing, I was approached by attitude of "your early, like 30 minutes early" the guy seamed to think it was hilarious! Was happy to wait, and I did say no rush as I knew I was early, just found the guy rude when no need, so service does not match Quaility unfortunately. Hope this helps.

Excellent food, freshly cooked to order, friendly and helpful staff, can't fault it. My 95 year ld mother loves it, keep it up.

£3.50 for a chip cob that was dried out, the chips were reheated, and you get a tiny amount that didn't even hot the spot. Very poor chippy and definitely won't be back.

Paid £11 pound something for a large cod and to say it was dry would be a huge understatement. Will not use the place again

Had to wait 40 minutes for my order due to there being no chicken and when it was cooked he got the order wrong. One of the staff members was swearing! Never going to use this place again

If you want amazing fish and chips, this must be your go to Chip shop. The tandoori chicken nann wraps are fab for a large appetite and extremely yummy too. Friendly staff and very well organised x

Totally forgot to take pictures 📸 of the food we had brought because it was that good we ate it so quick !!! I was diagnosed coeliac last August and have been struggling with the GF diet, most of the foods I've tried aren't nice at all. Someone told me about Belgrave Chip Shop last week and having a full size GF menu, so I had to try it!! Well, we wasn't disappointed at all - when I say we, its because my husband who can eat anything off the menu, was tucking into my GF fish bites and GF chips. They were that good, he said he would have them over the normal menu 👌🏼 We live the other side of Tamworth to Belgrave but will definitely, 100%, be making the trip when we fancy a 'chippy tea'. Thank you so much for making the effort to do GF, it makes the world of difference to people like me, x I'll be sure to post this on the GF support pages I'm following too, along with a picture of your menu 👌🏼

I have always had an awesome experience with Belgrave Fish Bar. Food is always fresh and high quality, and the service is always first class. My personal favourite is the battered sausage, and my mum loves the chips (and she’s hard to please with chips). Definitely recommend this chippy!

Last night I had mediterian chicken kebab and 3 kids meals. Absolutely 1st class. Chips were perfect and little chips crispy. Mmm delicious. 🥰

On a recommendation I purchased fish &chips from here and was quite disappointed the batter on the fish was very soft and thick although the fish was tasty and the chips were just ok

Brilliant chippy, the only down side is there are loads of take out orders and just eat orders you have to wait for a time, but as far as that it's a great chippy.

First time ordering from this chippy and we will definitely order from again. The wrong order was received however after a phone call to them, they were at my door super fast with a fresh order and complimentary bottle of pop. The food was first class and brilliant customer service 👏 👌

Why is the chip shop the talk of my college! After hearing people talking about the battered cream eggs my mind got me thinking of why I've never had this before, in all fairness I think somebody who works there goes to this college as I always hear updates about what's happening there for example, the ice scrapers.

Where do I begin, this is by far the best chip shop in Tamworth with the diverse menu, nice staff and really good quality of food they always put out, I've been going there for the past few months and would never change! Really nice staff which is supported by the new boss they have.

Best fish and chips in Tamworth

Decent food but ridiculously slow service!! Delivery…. Be prepared to wait well over an hour, pick up 😳😳😫😫…….I was told to be there to collect at 18:15, when I got there (just before that time) I was snapped at by some cocky young lad “wait till the time you’ve been told”… I went back at 18:30 and stood outside the window and watched literally the slowest bunch of lads doing orders and waited Another 15 mins for my food, my chips had been in the heater for 10 mins while they sorted the rest, the manager did apologise and looked embarrassed!

very nice chippy I would highly recommend you have your next chippy night from here. Update, this place is amazing, it truly is. Food is out of this world, the staff are the friendliest you will ever have the pleasure of talking to, the owners are amazing. This is the only chippy I'll use. 🙂

Ok food. Bit pricey for what i had

Poor service waiting time was way too long but food was good.

Placed my order for two items was told it would take 15 minutes....35 minutes later I was still sat there..I have seen more organized chimps tea party despite having 7 staff working.. they need to spend a bit more time on the people who are sat waiting rather than rushing to make up ORDERS for delivery and not give rubbish excuses when challenged about waiting times.. despite this the food was good just the service that was disappointing...

Extremely poor customer service! Only gave one of my items to the Uber delivery driver and then when I try to contact them to rectify this I was told at first that there was nothing that they could do about it! When challenged I was told that next time that I order I can then have my items! I will definitely NEVER be ordering from them again!

We go here every Saturday evening .. woukdnt go anywhere else! Staff are always friendly and make time to ask if you are well ..food is always cooked fresh when ordered .. we always phone up to place the order and state the time we want to collect and it is always HOT waiting for us to collect ... This use to be my favourite chip shop around the Tamworth area and I would frequently visit it. However, 6 months ago it had a face lift and with it the place has gone down hill. To pay for its new lick of paint and pointless digital boards (it a little chip ship for heavens sake) they raised the prices quite signficantly and not the standard of food. The only thing that has stayed is the friendly service, butt everything else has been lost. I've been twice since its 'refrubishment' and both times I have been disappointed with the prices and the quality. I gave it a second chance but not a third. End of an era. Shame.

Ordered via Uber eats all items were delivered except the chips. Uber gave me a refund but a fish, pie, peas and curry sauce without chips is a joke. Called directly but no answer.

Waited 3/4 of an hour for food to me it’s somewhat a very long time you shouldn’t expect people to wait outside in the cold for that length of time

I had the Gluten free chips and scallops and I was not disappointed, apart from being coeliac I'm really fussy so I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be ordering again and recommending to others, I was stressing incase of cross contamination as I've had happen in other places but I wasn't ill after eating so that was an even bigger bonus 😁😁😁
