Premier Inn Reading Central hotel in Reading

Reception staff were friendly on arrival and check in was very quick. I stayed in a premier plus room on the 3rd floor. It was a lovely room, love the addition of a coffee machine and an ironing board. The bathroom was nice apart from a really strong smell of sewage when flushing the loo. Great breakfast in the morning. My bug bear is the car park - my trip was booked through my work, I had googled to check there was parking. I was not asked at check in if I was using the car park and there is no signage that I saw to say pay for parking. I have now got a parking fine for my overnight stay. I realise now that the premier inn offers concessions for parking - this should be more visible and reception staff should ask at check in.

We stopped by with a friend who was staying here for a couple of drinks and really appreciate the quality of service by sarka and her team. The cocktails were great. Thank for making our Saturday catch-up with friends

We stayed here mainly because of hotel prices near Wembley Stadium on the day of the FA Cup final. One night near Wembley £600, one night in Premier inn Reading (2 adults and 1 child Inc breakfast) £105. It was a no trainer, ideally situated for railway station direct to Paddington and onward travel. I would deffinatly use this hotel again, clean comfortable rooms, pleasant staff, nice meal in the evening when we returned, cracking pint of Stella, all reasonably priced. And the Premier inn breakfast needs no explanation.

Great location but the room is shabby

Myself and family came here for my mums 70th Birthday trip (we stayed for 3 nights) The staff were all so lovely and the room was clean and nice. Will definitely stay here again 😊

Excellent location within a few yards of Oracle and reading river walk. Good service, excellent breakfast and comfy rooms.

Customer Friendly. Neat and Clean. Well organized. Located in the center of reading. Bit expensive when compared to Travelodge. Anyhow highly recommended.

The room is good and clear. Although it is near the road, it is not too noisy. The pillow is a little bit firm for me.

The best premier inn I have stayed at, the staff were really good, friendly and efficient, and everywhere really clean and smelt fresh. The whole place feels cared for by the staff. The breakfast was fresh and the restaurant spacious.

Dominka, Insha & Sarka were professional, friendly and very welcoming, they could not do more to make my stay a very enjoyable & comfortable one, I look forward to returning soon !

Dilshan was amazing at reception and so helpful upon checking in. Location is perfect for access to the Oracle and always enough onsite parking.

I stayed just for a night and the hotel met all my expectations in terms of quietness and cleanliness. The room was warm and comfortable as well, and the breakfast had a variety of options. I'd say, though, that the highlight of my stay was the staff! Everyone was really nice and Dominika was very sweet and welcoming at my arrival after a long day.

Me and my husband visit family in reading every year and the stay is usually really good but on this occasion it wasn’t the best, at 6.30am on both mornings there was a family above us who were like a heard of elephants so we couldn’t get the lie in we really needed, we did speak to the receptionist on the way out and she was lovely, very apologetic but we were really disappointed with this visit, maybe as a bit of advice to try and put families on the bottom floor, I know it’s not always possible but I wouldn’t like to have a stay like that again.

Dominika is fantastic! She was so lovely and helpful from when I arrived to when I left. Unfortunately the car park size lets this hotel down because it’s a really lovely hotel, also the price of parking is absolutely ridiculous. The staff are incredible and definitely go above and beyond and deserve to know they make the stay amazing. Thank you to everyone and especially domenika for all your help you really were awesome 🙂

Hello, I have stayed here for 5 nights, and now came back for 5 more. I'm on my work trip, and they are paying up for my stay and meal deal. Comfortable mattress and pillows, so I really sleep well. Few technical issues, but staff does everything to sort it out whats in their power. To be honest, staff is brilliant here, every single one. I think they are what makes this place me give a rating of 4*. I hope they're paid well. Well done team, you're all amazing people ❤️🙏

comfortable stay with clean rooms and friendly staff.

Booked for a work trip. Car park is small and tight, but big multistorey just across the road. Rooms very nice, service very good. Right in the centre of Reading , just a 2 minute walk from resteraunts and shops in the oracle shopping centre

Great base for our racing trip 👏 walk across the road and you are in the bar's and restaurants, breakfast spot on rooms very comfortable 👌 staff were very helpful 👍

Can't complain, get location. We were lucky with the parking and convenient for the shops, restaurants and Train Station

Checked in late this afternoon after a long day and was immediately welcomed with beaming smiles from the staff. Came down from dinner and noticed Dominika running around in and out of the restaurant and kitchen, laughing and joking with the guests, taking the time to stop and actually chat with them and showed genuine interest in what they were saying. She actually makes me laugh to watch her work, such a cheerful breath of fresh air and a true asset to a team. Premier Inn, you’ve got a true gem of a staff member there.

Easy place to get to and good night's sleep

Terrible hotel loud groups of young people screaming shouting smoking abusive and staff called the police on them, later in the evening they came back banging on doors avoid the weekends at all cost the staff tried to calm its down but to no avail. Still waiting for premier inn to contact me can’t talk only faceless complaint procedure.

Came here for a meeting so cannot comment on the rooms or breakfast. Staff were helpful but very busy and had to wait for assistance on a Monday morning. Main complaint is the car park is small for the size of hotel and you have to pay for parking by the hour, I got lucky getting a space.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. Was in Reading for training. From checking in to checking out, was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and professional, they couldn't do enough for us. The hotel was advertised as 3 stars and therefore I was not looking forward to staying there. But the quality of service and condition of the room was beyond my expectations. I stayed in a Premier Plus room with walk-in shower, temperature control, complimentary water (still and sparkling) in a mini fridge, ironing board/iron and tea making facilities. It was a very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was included at extra cost. For secure WiFi it was £5, or you could use basic WiFi for free. Breakfast was basic but satisfying. My stay here was worth the money and I will return. Thanks to the staff for being so welcoming and helpful.

Bed was ok, rooms a bit outdated but friendly people and nice enough food. Close to citycenter but on the otherside of a busy road (which can be safely crossed, so no trouble but it doesnt help with the ambiance)

Functional hotel, well located, with a good breakfast
