Massive thank you to the staff especially Jordana and Macy We've been staying at the Premier Inn for the past couple of months now as we're away on work this has become our home away from home from the moment you step inside you are welcome by the most friendliest staff you have met you walk straight into the foyer to a clean tidy environment and the girls behind the desk with the friendly welcoming smile like you were long lost friends that you haven't seen in a while The rooms are spacious clean tidy and welcoming after a long day at work the beds are super comfy and I would be asking where I can buy one of the mattresses from as I actually look forward to coming back has the better more comfy than my own at home the bathrooms clean spacious with a lovely sized bath tub to soak away the stress of the day The bar / restaurant reusable price on the drinks and great selection of food on the menu even better prices you just can't go wrong say thank you to the whole team and especially again Macy and Jordana you are both accredit to the your team and make our long stays away from home fill better Thank you again Jordan w

I hope Premier Inn appreciates what a difference the staff make. Everyone I spoke to here was absolutely lovely. All the more impressive that they were patient and helpful when they were so clearly short of staff. Maybe management should consider having a few more people on each shift so the ones who are there aren't having to run around like mad.

Awful experience. We booked the best, Premier Plus, room. We expected a King size bed, but it was only a double. The room was clean, but the staircase was abysmal. The lift was broken, we received an email notification of this a week prior to our stay, and it was still broken when we left... The internet connection was unusable and would time out when trying to load pages such as Wikipedia which are mostly text - the staff said it was an on going problem with no signs of it being fixed. The breakfast was average: I asked for my bacon to be well done, but this seemed like an impossible task, as every time we had it it was the same as everyone else's. We were also unaware that we had to book breakfast everyday, so on the second day we had to wait an hour before they could fit us in, which interrupted our plans for the day. The outside of the building is very run down, and there is a large amount of grass growing out of the guttering. The staff tried their best but there is only so much that they can do with such a poorly maintained building and scant resources. We paid for the best room and it was not up to scratch. We won't be using a Premier Inn again, once bitten twice shy.

Nice hotel, if a bit noisy. Our room was on the second floor and on both mornings we could hear the people in the room above walking around. Other than that, very helpful staff

Perfect spot for our night away, just visiting Plymouth for the night. Within walking distance of all the places we wanted to visit, less than 10 mins to the National Marine Aquarium, managed to get around most of the city by foot during our stay Parking was ample when we arrived around 2pm however by night time all spaces appeared to be taken ( £8 for 24 hours ) Picked a premier plus room as we stayed for leisure many other guests appeared to be visiting on business. Really clean neat room, with everything needed. Kind welcoming staff

Went for dinner at 7pm told there was a little wait on food which was fine as they had a few tables. Told I would have to sit in the bar area as the restaurant area was full (fair enough). The guy who greeted me said he would set my table up for me….nothing came and was set up, after waiting about 15 minutes comes to take order, but I have not been given a menu. I order and then wait 25/30 minutes for soup to come out. Then waiting for my main around 25/30 minutes, watch everyone in the restaurant be served before me (that came after me) and watching the server eating in the kitchen. Eventually had enough and got up and left, explain to the manager on duty what was the issue as they seemed oblivious, all that was said was “oh sorry” . Not good enough, do better

Weekend away in Plymouth, close as we wanted to go to Cornwall for the day. Not to far away from the city centre shops, if that’s what your looking for, but plenty of restaurants around the harbour within walking distance. There is nothing wrong with the restaurant in the hotel and the Premier Inn meal deals are very good value.

My new wife and I stayed here with family to celebrate our wedding. The food was excellent, rooms were so comfortable and the staff were outstanding and couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. They really went the extra mile to help us celebrate our big day. The hotel itself is 5 minutes from the Barbican and 10 minutes from the city centre with plenty to offer both during the day and the evenings. Highly recommend if you are planning a trip to Plymouth.

Room cleaned before we'd even checked out, meaning all drinks and snacks we had bought, were thrown away. Standard of room was fine, except no drawers to put clothes in. Would expect better in a Premier Plus room. Bar shuts early and not enough staff to deal with guests

We stayed at this Premier Inn for 1 night on 24th March on a stopover to Cornwall. The location is perfect for exploring Plymouth. Parking was £6 for 24 hours which is fairly good for a city centre location. When we initially got to our room (303), it was too hot. We immediately opened the window, however the road noise was very loud so resorted to the Air Conditioning. This clearly hadn't been serviced in a while as when it was on it made the sound of water trickling regularly. So we substituted an average night sleep with having the window open and the loud road noise. The shower and hand basin was pretty much pointless. The hand basin tap had an awful flow of pressure with a small squirt coming out. Removing the pressure reducer resolved this issue. However the shower pressure was ridiculous, to the point it didn't remove shampoo from the hair. The WiFi as others have said was practically useless, I upgraded to ultimate WiFi and the speed was below 1mb p/s across Android, Windows & iOS Devices. As for the bedroom cleanliness, it wasn't great - hairs in the shower and markings on the pillow. On checkout, team members were more interested in having a discussion at the reception desk than offering a "Thankyou, Goodbye" to guests. We wouldn't choose to return to this Premier Inn in the future.

We have stayed at Premier Inn Sutton Harbour a few times when visiting Plymouth. Never again though after the awful drop in customer service since our last stay! Booked a Premier Plus room and paid extra for an early check in due to the poor weather. Premier Plus rooms include a free upgrade to Ultimate Wifi - apparently "8 times faster than the free wifi". Not on this occasion! Barely worked at all! Less than 1mbps on Speedtest. Certainly not good enough for Netflix, Iplayer etc. When I queried with reception early evening, I got a shrug of the shoulders, was told it was not working this afternoon, but should be fine now. There was nobody to query it with as there was no duty manager on site apparently. At 11.12pm it's still not working! After going out for the evening, we returned to the hotel just in time for a drink before bar closed at 11pm. We were at the bar at 10.55pm. No sign of anyone or anybody on reception. Eventually a young man with an extremely bad attitude came out of the back room at reception where he was skulking. He then informed me that the bar closed at 11pm. I said that was not the case as we had been waiting for 5 minutes at the bar so it clearly closed early as he stated they had 'already cashed up'. When I pointed out politely that it was not great customer service to close the bar early, he said "Alright mate, don't have a go, I just work here". He then walked off into his back room. Exactly my point, you work here. You're not paid to hide away in a back room and show such a poor attitude to paying customers. We will take our business elsewhere until Premier Inn employ some staff who can even pretend to care about customer service. Also not that impressed that we had to pay £6 for parking on top of the £88 rate for the room. Paying for parking on site is another new addition since our last visit. No point in mentioning it to staff though as it will only get the trademark shrug of the shoulders! Shame about the staff. The rooms are very nice and the hotel is in a good location for the city.

It took over half an hour at reception to find our rooms. They didn't seem to have a clue and even gave one of our rooms up. Fortunately, there was another spare room. The actual rooms when we got in were amazing, so clean, and 1st class. Breakfast was a disappointment. Bacon ,eggs, and sausage were overcooked, so I opted for the continental, which was lovely.

Nice location with nice views overlooking part of Plymouth Harbour. It would have had a 5*, but: 1. The Wi-Fi is poor (great signal, not good throughput). 2. Windows need a clean on the outside - If you prevent them from being opened wide to get a clear view, you need to make sure you can see properly through the glass. 3. Premium Plus room, but basic cheap toilet roll. What's that about? False economy because you end up using twice as much anyway, and quality toilet roll is a must!

Shocking experience. The first night we arrived we were encouraged to go to the cookhouse and pub on arrival. Only to find out they stopped cooking at 8:30 so we returned to the hotel for a meal. Disappointing meal to say the least. The staff were not interested at all. On the second night the house cleaner burst into our room with a couple using her master key and then left. We went to reception to check if we were in the right room to be met by an aggressive , defensive young lady with a bad attitude . I look forward to your apology .
