So close to town (5 minutes walk). Clean, friendly and lots to do around the area.

My new wife and I stayed here with family to celebrate our wedding. The food was excellent, rooms were so comfortable and the staff were outstanding and couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. They really went the extra mile to help us celebrate our big day. The hotel itself is 5 minutes from the Barbican and 10 minutes from the city centre with plenty to offer both during the day and the evenings. Highly recommend if you are planning a trip to Plymouth.

Staff very helpful and friendly, but there aren't enough of them. Breakfast poor quality - orange juice too sweet, food lukewarm and tasteless; floor and carpet sticky, table very sticky - sleeves stuck to it. Have paid in advance for breakfast today but will give it a miss.

Room cleaned before we'd even checked out, meaning all drinks and snacks we had bought, were thrown away. Standard of room was fine, except no drawers to put clothes in. Would expect better in a Premier Plus room. Bar shuts early and not enough staff to deal with guests

We stayed at this Premier Inn for 1 night on 24th March on a stopover to Cornwall. The location is perfect for exploring Plymouth. Parking was £6 for 24 hours which is fairly good for a city centre location. When we initially got to our room (303), it was too hot. We immediately opened the window, however the road noise was very loud so resorted to the Air Conditioning. This clearly hadn't been serviced in a while as when it was on it made the sound of water trickling regularly. So we substituted an average night sleep with having the window open and the loud road noise. The shower and hand basin was pretty much pointless. The hand basin tap had an awful flow of pressure with a small squirt coming out. Removing the pressure reducer resolved this issue. However the shower pressure was ridiculous, to the point it didn't remove shampoo from the hair. The WiFi as others have said was practically useless, I upgraded to ultimate WiFi and the speed was below 1mb p/s across Android, Windows & iOS Devices. As for the bedroom cleanliness, it wasn't great - hairs in the shower and markings on the pillow. On checkout, team members were more interested in having a discussion at the reception desk than offering a "Thankyou, Goodbye" to guests. We wouldn't choose to return to this Premier Inn in the future.

We were looked after very well by Charlotte and the rest of the team. Staff were very attentive to our needs. Out of all the Premier Inns I've stayed in, this was the best so far.

We have stayed at Premier Inn Sutton Harbour a few times when visiting Plymouth. Never again though after the awful drop in customer service since our last stay! Booked a Premier Plus room and paid extra for an early check in due to the poor weather. Premier Plus rooms include a free upgrade to Ultimate Wifi - apparently "8 times faster than the free wifi". Not on this occasion! Barely worked at all! Less than 1mbps on Speedtest. Certainly not good enough for Netflix, Iplayer etc. When I queried with reception early evening, I got a shrug of the shoulders, was told it was not working this afternoon, but should be fine now. There was nobody to query it with as there was no duty manager on site apparently. At 11.12pm it's still not working! After going out for the evening, we returned to the hotel just in time for a drink before bar closed at 11pm. We were at the bar at 10.55pm. No sign of anyone or anybody on reception. Eventually a young man with an extremely bad attitude came out of the back room at reception where he was skulking. He then informed me that the bar closed at 11pm. I said that was not the case as we had been waiting for 5 minutes at the bar so it clearly closed early as he stated they had 'already cashed up'. When I pointed out politely that it was not great customer service to close the bar early, he said "Alright mate, don't have a go, I just work here". He then walked off into his back room. Exactly my point, you work here. You're not paid to hide away in a back room and show such a poor attitude to paying customers. We will take our business elsewhere until Premier Inn employ some staff who can even pretend to care about customer service. Also not that impressed that we had to pay £6 for parking on top of the £88 rate for the room. Paying for parking on site is another new addition since our last visit. No point in mentioning it to staff though as it will only get the trademark shrug of the shoulders! Shame about the staff. The rooms are very nice and the hotel is in a good location for the city.

It took over half an hour at reception to find our rooms. They didn't seem to have a clue and even gave one of our rooms up. Fortunately, there was another spare room. The actual rooms when we got in were amazing, so clean, and 1st class. Breakfast was a disappointment. Bacon ,eggs, and sausage were overcooked, so I opted for the continental, which was lovely.

Nice location with nice views overlooking part of Plymouth Harbour. It would have had a 5*, but: 1. The Wi-Fi is poor (great signal, not good throughput). 2. Windows need a clean on the outside - If you prevent them from being opened wide to get a clear view, you need to make sure you can see properly through the glass. 3. Premium Plus room, but basic cheap toilet roll. What's that about? False economy because you end up using twice as much anyway, and quality toilet roll is a must!

Shocking experience. The first night we arrived we were encouraged to go to the cookhouse and pub on arrival. Only to find out they stopped cooking at 8:30 so we returned to the hotel for a meal. Disappointing meal to say the least. The staff were not interested at all. On the second night the house cleaner burst into our room with a couple using her master key and then left. We went to reception to check if we were in the right room to be met by an aggressive , defensive young lady with a bad attitude . I look forward to your apology .

Sorry but apart from friendly staff there was nothing good here. the children's chair was very dirty and sticky. The screws where loose so it was dangerously unstable. The food was so overly seasoned
