Premier Inn Newcastle (Team Valley) hotel in Gateshead

Very lovely clean and wonderful room. Shower was amazing. Car parking was great too.

First of all I have to say every member of staff here is fantastic. Everyone we spoke to was helpful, friendly and worked so hard. The hotel is a gem, tucked away in Team Valley and handy for local shops, metro centre and A1. Has a good bar and serves what looks like good food although we never ate. The room was spotless as ever and has teas, coffees, etc. Unfortunately i have to say our room had no hot water for a shower. I asked receptionist and some rooms seemed to be having this issue. Also, our bed was terrible. It had a big delve in the middle so we ended up sliding into the middle of it all night getting virtually no sleep at all. I have spine issues and use Premier Inn as normally the beds are big and good quality. This one was not. Really disappointed if honest as we use Premier Inn regularly and this is our fourth stay at this particular one. As I said the staff were great, not much that they could do but I'd think twice about booking here again now.

It's a shame about bathroom, NOT clean properly ! For £ 127 I inspect a bit clean bathroom.Hair in sink and bath in toilet seat was brown spots 🤢Car park was full,so took me half an hour to find a space. Just parked on the road (luckily no ticket found on the screen)WiFi was average but not great. Friendly staff. No sausage on breakfast, because some homeless guy came in took some food and dropped the trays with some food 🤦.very short menu, not much choice. Overall was ok, and maybe, maybe I'll be back, not sure

Stayed for 2 nights in premier plus room ,Location was great bed was comfortable,parking was OK, ate at the restaurant which food I had was nice ,however slight maintenance needed in room as there was a bit of paint peeling by the window and shower screen could be bigger as when using water was coming out on floor and up wall ,was stains on carpet ,fridge door and headboard and bed frame indian lady on reception was lovely and helpful

Work trip. Comfortable enough rooms. Expensive drinks. Food very basic and soon gets repetitive. Breakfast choice is ok. Bacon a bit dodgy. The best thing is the staff. They can't do enough for you, and the lasses who work the bar and restaurant area are fantastic and you can have a good giggle with them. I hope they are rewarded for their exceptional attitudes in their pay packets.

Edit 22.12.24 Came to breakfast yesterday and was told that the card machine wasn't working. I didn't have cash so I had to go without Today was told that due to a problem with the kitchen they were only taking prebookings. So I went without again. A bit fishy because last time I was here their card machine wasn't working. Have always been a fan of Premiere Inn but am now beginning to question this loyalty. Am a big fan of Premiere Inns. This one isn't in the loveliest location- industrial/retail. But inside it's great - staff lovely and helpful and breakfast was A*

Always a pleasure to stay here. Rooms are spotless, staff are friendly, parking is good. All in all, a great Premier inn. Not forgetting the top notch breakfast. Shout out to Ricky on Breakfast.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN PARKING HERE, parked up outside the hotel, went in to give staff my registration as i presumed this would be needed as it is with most places, was advised this wouldn't be needed as you can park anywhere on the car park facing. I foolishly believed the staff, two weeks later received a parking find from UKCPS Ltd, who i assume the hotel as a deal with regarding miss advising people for the own gain of fees, apart from that everything else with regards to the hotel was fine.

Stayed in a premier plus room on the 7th floor. Nice and clean, but does need some cosmetic touching up as you can see the room is starting to get tired. Free parking and staff very pleasant.

As with most Premier Inns, good location, clean and tidy room, friendly helpful staff.

Great location. Lounge bar area needs updating ... tables and upholstery. Breakfast should be hot not warm and not cold plates Rooms perfect

I stayed here from 19/04-21/04 for a birthday weekend with friends and we found the staff very friendly, the room was clean and nice we and had a lovely breakfast. Would recommend

Ideal for an overnight stay has it's own parking which was busy would recommend the meal deal good value and saves you having to go out elsewhere

To far away from the attractions

The service is good and the location is good but the beds are terrible. Really uncomfortable, too soft. Had to sleep on the pull out bed.

The room was nice, 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Love the mirrors, one has a square light inside of it, makes doing makeup so much better. The room was clean, spacious and enough room to store your item's. The bathroom was lovely, my only thing was the handles on the bath was really dirty, I'm sure if I had asked, they would have cleaned it, so it's not a problem, I just hate to complain about things, so that's on me. The hotel staff are very lovely, I have bad anxiety but I felt at ease and comfortable, they are always ready to help you. I find some hotels staff members can make it feel like it's a chore and drag their feet, but the Premier inn staff were always smiling and friendly, no complaints. The unlimited breakfast was a lifesaver, I was hungover for both the breakfasts and it helped so much 🙈 there is always plenty of juice, which I took full advantage of and the food was delicious, I would definitely recommend getting the unlimited one, it's only £10.99. The location is good too, there's a little shop, greggs 😋 and a subway. They are all just right beside the hotel, so 1 minute walk if even that and there's a farmhouse inn just across from the hotel too. There's a taxi service that I used a lot for going longer journeys and u can book and pay for it online, Dean's taxis. Definitely check out the metro shopping centre, it's massive All in all it was a pleasant stay, really enjoyed myself and I will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Lovely rooms, nice & quiet at night. Easy to get over to Newcastle city centre in the car, only 10-15 minutes. Great breakfast.

Went to check in at the front desk . The Young lady with the blond bobbed hair needs to have an attitude adjustment. Not what you expect from a massive chain. Attitude if I don’t care when asked questions is not the answer. When asked civil questions you would expect a civil answer.

This is a big hotel. Great views and a good location near the motorway. Not so great for Newcastle but this is a big area. Staff in this betel are really good. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are the usual fayre - quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is good but go early - before 8am if you can. One annoying thing is that the hot food plates are stone cold so warm food is nearly always instantly cold. Shame they don't understand that. Evening food is OK. A bit limited but edible - use the meal deal to save money. Car park is huge. There is another restaurant just across from here. You will have mixed results there. Overall though, a pretty good experience. 👍🏻

It's a standard Premier Inn - the rooms are what you've seen in every other PI but as always they are clean and comfortable.

I travel to Gateshead and stay with my job. I have stayed at this premier Inn twice now and both times, the rooms have been immaculate, staff are really friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant is lovely and the views from the rooms at the front are stunning. Will use this hotel whenever I'm in the area.

Ok place to stay, staff could do better, maybe smile, it's like they didn't want to be there with the exception of the morning staff who served breakfast.

Fabulous hotel, lovely and clean and comfortable. The evening meal and the breakfast were very tasty. The staff were great, lovely and friendly and helpful.
