Great tasting food and good value for money. They have a few meal deals too. Good portions, the picture shows half a bag of chips and battered sausage.

The fish was ok, the fries were terrible

A very dated chip shop from the 80s, but that's what I like about the place, it hasn't been strelised with in an inch of it's life.and the chips? PERFECT

Everyone has their own favourite fish and chip shop but you'd be hard pushed to find a better one than the Cod Father

Go there every Friday and normally Saturdays I'm a local and these are the best chips I've ever tasted in my life especially soaked in vinegar.

Totally terrible... The batter is vile and the oil must have not been changed in ages. Avoid but if you must go get a meal deal with curry or gravy to hide the appalling taste.

Was quite disappointed, it didn't live up to it's quirky name. Haddock advertised on the board but none actually available so I had cod and chips. The portion of chips was huge, far too many for one person, and had a few green and black chips in there. The cod was quite soft and squishy, no individual flakes of fish, just quite a flat mush of it. Everything seemed a bit tastless. No Minchellas
