Premier Inn Leeds South (Birstall) hotel in Leeds

Spacious, clean, and comfy room. Friendly staff. Large car park with electric charger. Evening meal and good breakfast

Stayed here recently. A bit more basic than other Inns. Good points: Friendly staff Quiet Breakfast was nice despite the wait Dinners were nice but the menu needs changing up now as it’s been the same for a while. Large garden area Ample parking Soft pillows available USB points next to beds (which is ok if you don’t need a usb c charger) Bad points: Temperature control in room did not respond. Broken switch on desk lamp Pillows very hard but there are softer ones in the room which were ok. Everything within my room felt sticky, handles, walls, doors. Toilets in restaurant had no soap & no water. Breakfast wasn’t self serve & you had to wait a while for order to be taken & to be brought out. Broken hot drink machine, poor fruit salad selection, minuscule orange juice, stale bread, crumpets & muffins due to them not being covered. Restaurant not open until 5pm! However the receptionist did fetch me a drink when asked. Garden area needs some love, could do with some parasols & for empty glasses from the day before to be taken inside, also the layout of tables were sporadic. Creaky floor which cannot be helped I guess No sockets next to the bed so if you have a USB C charger you have to use the point at the desk across the room. Location was convenient for my office but will not stay here again as I feel it’s too basic & other Inns have more to offer.

Pulled in there to book a room but decided against it. Very expensive and a bit scruffy looking. Went elswhere

Staying in a lot of premier inn up and down the country but this is the worst one... when checking in there was no one at reception and waited 15 minutes. Staff member eventually came from the pub next door asking I'd been waiting long and I said yes a little while she got shirty saying well we are busy... Once checked in I went to the pub for food to find 4 staff members sitting around the bar chatting! Why isn't one of them manning reception? The pub wasn't even the busy to warrant 4 staff members so 1 of them should be on reception!! Ate in the restaurant a cold burger. Went to my room after a 16 hour working day to find shower pressure to drop to a dribble every 10 seconds or so... staff were poor and would rather sit at the bar for a chin wag rolling their eyes at customers for being an inconvenience to them... they are in the hospitality business so try to be a little hospitable.

Wouldn’t stay here again if I’m honest. Constantly smelling urine through the night, constant noise outside the window. We went down for breakfast in the morning, worse breakfast I’ve had, the juices weren’t filled and everything under done. I heard a customer ask a member of staff a question and he was spoken to like a child, then when he walked away I could see the staff laughing at him. So unprofessional.

Rooms were so cold. The heating was controlled on the wall but automatically turned itself off after 20 minutes

Popped in to visit friends who said the rooms and services were fabulous, we had coffee in the restaurant first thing in the morning, everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. A large carpark with good disabled parking and access. Easy to access from the M62

The room was perfect, exactly what we needed and the shower is amazing- nice and hot (some hotels the showers are freezing). Only one towel but reception sorted this, Then it went downhill at breakfast- The waitress it was not their fault, they where amazing (definitely need a pay rise for the amount of disorganisation that happened), plates left everywhere, no cleaned tables, no food, took them 25 minutes to do a food order (as only two of them on- on a Saturday are you joking me), chipped mug, I used to work in a restaurant and this would be diabolical behaviour. This was definitely not worth £22. Again the waitresses put up with so much, Premier inn you need more staff or pay them better as the amount of abuse they got aswell and not even their fault!

Was here for day and half for business. Room was well cleaned, no idea why so many people think the beds are amazing as they are not!! I was ground floor and could hear someone above me late night and around 5.30am but not too much of a problem to moan about it. Shower was good, staff was very friendly, dinner was good (recommend the burger and I had it 2 evenings! Breakfast was ok but was disappointing. Had to order it as wasn’t self serving. It was good and hot but took the server 20 mins to come over after I finished to get plate and see if I wanted anymore (it was very quiet) the 2nd small plate (bacon and sausages) was cold! Parking was free and lots of it. I’m on sky network (so o2) and it was very hit or miss so was happy to see free WiFi but it was terrible!! Just couldn’t use it at all so didn’t pay for the premium WiFi just incase it was as bad!

Stayed here a couple of times. Good location close to the motorway. Rooms are what to expect from a premier inn, clean, tidy, and comfortable bed. Food has never disappointed the calamari starter is spot on and a good cooked breakfast. On my last visit, the carpark could've done with making safer heavy snow and icy. Definitely will be staying again.

The heating system in my room wasn’t working properly, so during the night, the temperature dropped to 16 degrees! Dinner was okay, but the next morning at breakfast… there was a hair on my fried egg! I do not recommend this place.

Good service. Clean and spacious room with everything I need. I really loved my stay. Could study from the room and rest for the next day

Clean room. Friendly staff. One of the better Premier Inns I've stayed at.

Usual premier inn. Clean and tidy, although our room did smell like cigarettes. Reception put an ozone machine in whilst we were out, don’t think it did a lot though. The connected restaurant was excellent. Our evening meal and breakfast were excellent.

Staff are super friendly. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Not much to do in the area, I was hoping for a morning run but couldn’t find any good routes not along main roads unfortunately. However location is perfect if travelling down the motorway or need to stop near town.

We stopped off here just for breakfast on our way to York. The staff were friendly and helpful and having visited many Premier Inns for breakfast all over the UK, I have to say this one was my favourite. We were also introduced to the loyalty club, which has never been mentioned to us before!
