Pearl Dragon in Leeds

Great Chinese takeaway here, best chow mein I’ve tried in Leeds. Sadly moving away from Bramley soon and will struggle to find a chinese we like as much as this one!

Over charged us got the order wrong twice then asked for more money food was like it had been stood still for hours disgusting capital up the road is miles better

Called today and me and my wife were very happy Very nice food

We have used Pearl Dragon regularly and the food has been very good , recently the quality seems to have slipped a bit , tonight we got meals from there and it was very poor , the fried rice instead of been light + fluffy was instead just one big sticky lump , i phoned to complain and was put on to " the boss" who came on the phone to more or less tell me I didn't know what I was talking about and that's how it should be !! .I can make fried rice better myself !, no apology to say sorry we will try put it right for next time , that's a customer that won't be going back ,not that it sounds like they were bothered ,shame because it had gone down the nick and they had built it up again , maybe the good chef has left

Best Chinese in Yorkshire that I have ever experienced. It was packed out, service was swift and I imagine many were returning. I also have to be in the mood for a Chinese and am hard to please. I will definitely be back!

Disgraceful experience! We ordered salt and pepper chips/salt and pepper chicken and they gave us 2 portions of salt and pepper chips. Got all the way home and phoned them to ask for it again. Gave my girlfriend her food and took mine back but when I returned the salt and pepper chips the woman at the desk wanted photo proof that I didn’t have the chicken at home! I explained to her why would I drive all the way home and back to steal some chicken! She still wanted proof - I informed her that this is pathetic and tried to phone my girlfriend but she wasn’t answering the phone. The 2 women in the kitchen came out and understood and said let’s knock money off and give him the food but she still insisted she wanted a photo! The woman at the desk then came out from the desk got in my personal space saying ‘don’t get violent with me’ I said I’m not getting violent with you but if you’re going to treat me and speak to me like this I am going to be frustrated and angry with your customer service! Eventually she gave me my food I paid for that she FORGOT to put in the bag and accused me of stealing it! Never going back. The food was vile too, just like the person behind the counters personality.

If I could give a 0 star review I would. Sent the wrong food then accused us of lying after driving all the way home and back to the restaurant to get the correct order. The woman behind the counter was very rude and unprofessional. Received multiple phone calls to take pictures of the chicken that WAS NOT there. I am absolutely disgusted by how they treat their customers. After driving all the way home and back again to be treated how they have treated us for THEIR mistakes is absolutely appalling. The food was cold and disgusting too. Highly would avoid going there.

Amazing Chinese, only one I I will ever use always tastes amazing, great customer service every time on phone and in shop always so busy but tries best to be as fast as possible but honestly the wait sometimes is deffo worth it!

First time for us, went with a friends recommendation, and we weren't disappointed. We will definitely visit again, thanks.

For 24 years I have told everyone this is the best place to go, last nights experience I take it back.. obviously changed to different owners now , very tasteless and watery, chips had bin cooked a few times then microwaved , prawn toast on a similar level , my special curry only had chicken in it , the ribs were all fatty. An overall terrible experience and the only Chinese who could charge high nd I would gratefully pay... never again ..

Awful special curry only contained chicken onion peas and a mushroom and all very bland, massive let down

Random work trip led to a stop off here after a quick Google search for takeaways in the local area. Special salt and pepper, drunk mixed meat noodles, prawn toast and crispy seaweed. Outstanding food. Small portion for the cost of the seaweed. But everything else was delicious and large portions. Very nice suprise. Cold inside the shop was the only point lost maybe a little heater or blower customers can turn on off when they are waiting. Fantastic other than my two very minor points bravo Pearl Dragon. Will return next time I'm in the area.

Will never use this place again. Food is really good but woman behind the counter is beyond ignorant. She blatantly ignores people in shop waiting to order, just answers phone and brings orders from kitchen.

Absolutely fuming. Turned up, Girl at the counter said you wanting to order I said yes. She said one minute. 10 minutes later still not served us, yet took orders on the phone. We ended up walking out. Extremely poor service. Avoid. Edit, replying to your reply. The bottom line. Your staff had the time to answer the phone and take orders. So why not take orders from customers waiting in the shop. Busy times or not. You don't treat customers like this. Also if your that busy, get more staff! Simple.

Stood waiting ten minutes to order, lady kept coming out with other orders but never asked us for our order. Said do you want to order? We said yes please and then she disappeared. Telephone rang and she took an order over the phone and hadn’t even asked us yet! Still stood there and she never asked us. We walked out eventually as it was as if we were invisible stood right there at the counter. Shame as their food is lovely but unhappy about the service. We’d made a special trip because you have to pay cash only in house, and it was for a special occasion!

Forward 3 months, it’s now 31/03/23 I can’t find how to leave another review so unfortunately my five star review has become a 1 star review due to the ignorance of the server. I just fancied a quick bite to eat and was meet with this Indian girl who has served me a few times ok ish. Well tonight I’m sorry it was horrendous, it started by me asking “how quick would two spring rolls be”? Answered 5 minutes (actually 15minutes, that’s ok). Then when I paid I held my hand out for the change and she put it on the counter( again not a biggie but rude, please check your cameras). Then I got my spring rolls in a paper bag to carry instead of a plastic bag( that would keep it warm). Anyway with the 15 minute walk home burning my hands and soggy spring rolls that went in the bin, it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Sorry for this but factual.

First time ordering from here, tasty fresh food, friendly staff, clean and tidy place. Will order again! And I'm fussy but this place ticks all the boxes

Attended for the first time on a Friday evening. We had friendly service and waiting on a leather couch while I food was prepared. Cash only is accepted and they only offer a collection service, which is reasons we had not tried the Pearl Dragon before. Our food was hot and delicious. We will be ordering again. We were given free prawn crackers as our order was over 20.

loved it. will definitely visit again, which is a relief as it's hard to find a quality Chinese takeaway! obviously, the picture is an assortment of dishes on one plate. but everything tasted fresh and was delicious. good portion sizes. just be aware of the fact that it's collection only and also cash only, but there are plenty of free cash machines relatively nearby.

First time ordering from here and will definitely order again. The salt and pepper chips were perfectly spiced and crispy, we got a mixture of other items including the honey chilli chicken which was delicious also. Wait time wasn’t too bad either for a Saturday night.

This is one of THE best chinese takeaways I've had in a long time. They were on time, it was piping hot and soooooo tasty! What more could you want?

Very disappointing. Chicken curry swimming in liquid, hardly any chicken. Portion size has definitely been reduced also. Not what it used to be.

Best Chinese food in West Leeds.

Fantastic salt and pepper ribs plus chips. Absolutely delicious. Frustrating to pay cash only as I had to go to the ATM. Maybe consider taking cards it will be a lot easier for your customers.

Now a days people don't carry money around instead everything is card and for this Chinese to not only be on any food website like just eat or deliveroo. But they only want payment in cash. I dare say they don't have a lot of business

This little amount of raw chicken meat and black pea with not fresh rice costs 6.20 and they don't accept bank cards to avoid paying tax for this magic rotten food. I wouldn't give one star if I could

First time and the last time special fried rice ive seen more meat in a grocery, just chicken egg and peas no teast what so ever chips were cold. If the traffic was not busy I would have brought it straight back and got my hard hurnt money back. Lesson learned.

Went this week for first time after many years ago when it used to be my fave takeaway. The food is still good, although not quite as excellent as it was a few years back. Still a good choice though, well worth using them. Friendly and efficient.

Don't know what happened to the place but the food was that bad it ended up in the bin, obviously not the same chef

Whilst food is lovely, I won't return. In the midst of this pandemic where the hospitality industry, who have done so much to be covid safe, have been shut down. This takeaway is flouting every rule by allowing people to gather inside to wait (upto half an hour) for their orders! I arrived at the time I was given for collecting my order and still had to wait.

ROTTEN food. AVOID unless you want food poisoning. We have been going here for over 10 years, the food as slowly got worse. Last night (Sunday) was the last time we will visit the Peal. We ordered £25 worth of food and three out of four of us have been struck down with food poisoning. We ordered at 5pm and collected the food at 5:10pm -alarm bells should have rung then! The chicken in the curry and the fried rice was slimy and undercooked. Suspect this was Saturdays left overs or just bad cooking!!! The three who are sick had the chicken (if you can call it chicken!). Honestly try somewhere else. Poor service. 1 star is generous!

5 star hygiene rating, lovely staff and amazing food. The fact that they had Ghostbusters on the TV makes them our absolute favourite!

By far the best chinese takeaway! Perfect each time! One thing I would add to the menu is salt and pepper squid. I would and I do recommend this place to anybody and everybody!

Nice grub not greasy or bulked up with onions and peas like most a tad expensive for a takeaway and cash only what’s that all about?

Bad service. Orders have been wrong for the last 3 weeks. trying to order over the phone is a waste of time. Walked out with no food. Would not recommend.

Our Family have been going to this Chinese takeaway for over 20 years. New owners have come and severely reduced the standards. I will be looking elsewhere next time.

Just over £10 for large spring roll salt and pepper chips and chicken which was a small portion of pop corn style chicken bits, greasy at the bottom bit of onion chips were ok but noting worth the price

The food here is very delicious

Good food and nice resteraunt, nothing was wrong with the order, can't really say about the delivery as we picked up ourselves, however a little bit pricey and it took a while to order as the cashier wasn't very good at his English.

Best takeaway in the area. Accommodating to me not eating meat, fish or eggs, and being fussy about what veg I like. Most other places would mess up my order but these guys never disappoint.
