Nice location. Room clean & comfortable. Staff friendly & welcoming, including in the restaurant. Rating of 3 is solely due to the very limited choice on the evening meal menu. Due to Whitbread's re organisation of wanting more rooms, this premier inn amongst some others have reduced staff & menu choices. This change will lose customers

Expectations were low but in reality the rooms were in nice shape and clean overall! Great surprise.

Nicely located next to the canals. Unfortunately my room had sporadic hot water making it very hard to have an enjoyable shower when it’s freezing cold outside.

The Whitbread drive to better utilise its estate had seen major redundancies, particularly in the restaurant sector. This has led to a dramatic reduction in customer satisfaction due to significantly poorer evening dining options onsite. This applies not only to Huddersfield Central but many other Premier Inns that we have visited recently. My partner has a disabled blue badge, so, due to a lack of choice in the onsite, we must walk into town to find the choice we would like. Attached is a picture of the exceedingly limited menu available here this evening ... there's not a vegetable to be seen, nor even a burger 😒 Yours, very discontedly ... a couple of currently regular Premier Inn customers 😢😕

Supposed to be a room with a view (you pay extra for this) and although we got a window, it was tiny, not what was advertised

Absolutely fantastic premier inn, cannot fault the staff, the breakfast staff (phyl and Mario) are absolutely fantastic, such great kind people, Mario makes a wonderful breakfast and Phyl is a fantastic host, very friendly, warm, welcoming and such hard working. She always making sure you get everything you need, honestly 5* service, can’t fault anything.

Firstly this Premier has a tiny tiny main carpark, it does have an overflow carpark but this is a royal pain in the arse to find and then navigate in and out of. More information needs to be added onto the Hotels web page. Now onto the Hotel itself, I can only describe it as being very very tired and in need of a major refurbishment, our room 110 was shabby to say the least the bed was really uncomfortable and I can say that this is the worst Premier Inn we have stayed in. The restaurant was as far as we could tell closed and only served the breakfast offering.

Right next door to the University. Spacious rooms great heating. I love a bath too. The staff were exceptional the receptionists in the evening and the morning were incredibly helpful. You’ve got an excellent team, next time I’m in Huddersfield I will be back.

Very quiet night. Clean rooms. Just a shame the pub wasn't open after driving there and needing the toilet and a drink. Had to walk to the local sainsburys, which is about 10 mins away for the toilet and no cafe.

The first room we had developed a problem with the toilet not flushing we were moved quickly to another room. This rooms bed has decided that my husband and I should be sleeping so much closer than we do at home and we have both ended in a roll together in the middle of the bed. The hotel is central of Huddersfield which is ideal for us as we are closer to our family and easy to get out of the town centre if we need to. The pub attached to hotel Bar seems very low on stock but signs say having a refurb but breakfast has been very filling and plenty of choice. All in all would stay again but not in room 309. 😀 The hotel is right next to a canal and has barges tied up all times.

The hotel itself is as you'd expect but the pub is subject to premier inn's cost cutting (greed boosting) cuts. Extremely limited menu and only bottled beers. As a long term customer I am Extremely disappointed with this decision and I will be staying elsewhere in future.

The hotel restaurant was completely closed and we weren't told before arrival. We were directed to Sainsbury's to use their cafe, but we found it had been shut for 2years! No one serviced the room, so we had to deal with the waste bins, taking the rubbish downstairs ourselves.

Food at your own risk but worst was radio 2 blaring out all the time in the bar and restaurant area. Why do this to people?

We were regular customers until we ordered here and got the complete wrong order. When we tried to discuss this with the store they told us that they will not refund us unless we give them back the wrong food they sent out. When we asked why they didn’t give a reason so I’m assuming it’s to resell to other customers massive food hygiene risk and unacceptable. We were told that if we took a bite from the wrong food they will not refund us despite their mistake. They spoke to us disgustingly throughout the conversation. Such a shame will not be reordering from there.

Honestly the best pizzas in the area I get 1/2 and 1/2 meatfeast & spicy chicken. I rang up as I thought they’d forgotten sauces . The sauces got brought to me very quickly for me to realise we did have sauces in the salad box. So ended up with extra sorry . Food is always hot and fresh!! X

Pizza's here are amazing and flavoursome but i've tried other menu options like the lamb chops, sizzlers and skins and they are really not nice and not worth the money.
