Stayed here plenty of times and never disappoints. Clean rooms, love the ground floor. Lorrain on front desk was very helpful and kind. some rooms could do with refurbishing but you get what you get in Premier Inn. See you soon

Good location on the edge of town, next to the canal. The room was clean and tidy, but rather tired and needing some decorative TLC: door and frame each had a large chip out of it, various marks in the paint work, bit of mould on the shower (and a few dead spiders in the corner) plus marks on the net curtain. The main issue was a faint smell of dirty water, probably from the shower trap since it eased off after a shower. On the plus side the room had proper opening windows so plenty of fresh air. The staff were friendly, helpful and very pleasant. This hotels best asset.

After all the great reviews, and staying in a newly-decorated Premier Plus on our last visit away, we were a little disappointed by this hotel. The positives include a very friendly and helpful lady on reception, who sorted out an early check in - though in retrospect, we could have saved the 25% increase of £10 by leaving our belongings in the car, as we went straight out for the day. The location was nice and quiet, and there was plenty of parking. The bed was comfortable, and all linen clean. The room however, was very tired. There was no comfy place to sit (as shown in the gallery photos for this hotel, just a rather useless upright fan for this time of year). There were stains on the nets and curtains, dead spiders in ceiling corners, and unearthly stains on the desk chair. There was also a horrible smell of drains from the bathroom, which abated after using the shower at night, but had returned by morning. These details were fed back at check-out, and we got an apology… Sadly, the breakfast at the Brewers Fayre was not the usual buffet choice, and “unlimited” isn’t quite the same if you have to order it in advance. And so, we declined eating the breakfast that we had booked, and left several hours before the allocated check out time. In retrospect, and having highlighted our grievances about the room, we would have expected the £10 early check in to have been reimbursed. We sadly wouldn’t return here if in the area again.

One of the nicest Premier Inns I've stayed at. Rooms immaculate, very quiet, black-out curtains to help with sleep. Staff friendly, helpful and professional. And what an amazing location for walks. Highly recommend.

It's a Premier Inn so you are likely to know what to expect and as ever this one follows the pattern This one is probably one of the older hotels in the chain so is not necessarily one if the best but our room was clean and the bed comfortable for a good night's sleep. BreKfsdt next door in the brewers fayre, was as expected The staff were EXCELLENT. Check in was quick and easy by friendly staff as we're the reception the following morning Overall a decent nights sleep (The roadworks outside area a nightmare to negotiate.....doesn't detract from the stay, just a warning for fellow travellers to be aware)

Convenient location. Rather nice beside old canal basin. Room cosy and warm. Reception staff really friendly and welcoming. Room slightly smaller than most Premier inns but actually preferred it. Comfortable bed. Could park right outside. Meals in Brewers Fayre next door

Very friendly staff but the hotel is tucked away behind massive roadworks and opposite a Macdonalds and a Shell petrol station. So the atmosphere of an Old Water Mill is blighted by the surroundings. Nice rooms but the lack of a sofa made ours less than comfortable to relax in.

The customer service and quality of the rooms for the price is just insane. The best value for money I think I have ever had. The staff called me the day before to ask if I wanted a ground floor or first floor room; on check in I was warmly welcomed and offered some sweets. The room was insulate and modern. Even on checkout the effort made by the member of staff to ask how my staff was and wish me a merry Christmas was exceptional.

Very disappointing service and food. Meat was cold in our meals. Awful tasting, greasy, slimy and I couldn’t eat mine. Took way after an hour for the food to come after we asked twice it came. I won’t be eating there again
