Great hotel with comfy beds. The TGU Friday restaurant attached is ok but very expensive for the quality of food

Best room at a Premier Inn that I have stayed in. Either a new build or the room had been recently refurbished. Very clean and there was a refrigerator in the room with two bottles of complementary water and two chocolates as well. Air conditioning (heating) in the room was also good compared to some Premier Inn's that I have stayed in. Had an evening meal and drinks at the adjacent TGI Fridays that was also good. I needed to leave early so did not have time for breakfast.

4 hours ago a room was £35 for a Tuesday evening stay in over 2 months time! Gone to book this morning and it’s now nearly £200!!!??!? Phoned premier inn and no one answered!- how the hell can you justify nearly £200 for a one night stay at this hotel!? (We have stayed here before so know it’s not worth that!!!). Disgusting that they want to charge nearly 5 times the original cost in a few hours and yet can’t even get someone to answer the phone that they charge you to ring!!!

The lady that was cooking the breakfast was fantastic, cooked the eggs from fresh then brought them to my table, and also saw her do the same for several other guests.

I write this review with total honesty and fairness. Having stayed at a number of Premier Inns and generally they have been faultless with very good customer service. However this one at Fareham is poor. Firstly I like to say I had no problem with the gent on reception, polite and accommodating. The first room I was offered No 126 was rejected on safety grounds - it had an electric socket / switch to the wall radiator dangerously loose on the wall, noticed by the fact the socket was very slanted so easily seen. Offered a second room No 4. I accepted this room as it appeared much better, but after a while noticed that the walls were stained/ dirty, chair stained, ceiling paper split. Dirty wall heater. The kettle externally appeared scaled and looked old. In the bathroom the panels showed their age. As this stay was only for one night and the price was cheap (can understand why now) I accepted to 'stay put'. This establishment is in great need of a refurb. Good points the car park is free and plenty of space. Breakfast f.o.c. in an exclusive time limited personal deal which was excellent.. My opinion on TGI Friday being its local eating place for lunchtime / evening meal, not my preference. However heard from resident that the food was good. Overall would I stay here again, no. Will I still use Premier Inns in the future, yes very likely.

Clean but showing signs of wear and tear in the rooms could do with a renovation good location and Free parking Whitley retail center is good for food by the tesco Close to Gunwharf shopping without the big price tag of that location Great fish and chips around the corner of the hotel

The rooms can smell a little damp, but the location is perfect when we visit family. The staff here are just great! They really are and we have seen them several times when we've visited over the years. They are always so welcoming and patient with my special needs nephew. The breakfast is good, I wish they would have some granary or sourdough bread, though. Until next time

The worst Premier Inn we have stayed in (and we've stayed in loads over the years!) Room was dirty with spider webs and dust and in a great need of refurbishment - rusty towel rack and heater, yellowing toilet roll holder, rusty and dirty around the taps, chunks out wall - the list goes on. We complained to Premier Inn through their customer services and they can only give us an apology because we didn't go to reception!!! We arrived late at night with 3 kids in tow and had to leave early in the morning, staying only 1 night. Usually customer services is how you put in a complaint especially when you have photos to support your claim!!! No? We've to pay full price for 2 substandard rooms!!!

All the usual no-frills facilities that you expect from a Premier Inn. The main attraction being the price and the location to just outside of Portsmouth for cruises, ferries and sight-seeing without paying central Portsmouth prices. Many of the rooms are right next to the car park, but surprisingly we weren’t affected by the noise as long as the windows were shut. Sat nav totally confused as to which turn off to get to the hotel - so look-out for the TGI Fridays next door. A few stores and fish and chips nearby. Functional, clean, powerful shower, tea making facilities and with wi-fi. A decent breakfast (at additional cost). Used by business and trades people as well as tourists as you might expect. Strange room ‘air conditioning’ - you can’t make the room cooler which was a bit odd on this hot summer night. All in all though, no probs, except for the lack of usb charging, but to give it 5 stars I will highlight the very friendly staff and yes, a good nights sleep.

All good, but yet again wifi issues from Virgin Media / Wifi. IP address not being allocated. When it does, then cannot login! Ruins the whole experience. When next door at TGI Fridays, fast and simple access to high speed wifi. Virgin Media, you are terrible!

We had been recommended this by a friend and when trying to book it was fairly booked up; so thought this a popular place. Me and my partner arrived 20 minutes early, we wasn’t greeted or informed where to sit; so we sat at the bar. I gave my name and we remained seated at the bar; we wasn’t told how long or asked whether we wanted a drink whilst we waited. Whilst sat at the bar the two staff continued to serve other people whilst me and my partner was ignored. After 10 minutes we decided to leave it was busy clearly not enough staff and our first impression was not good. We then drive 5 minutes down to the veranda where wee were greeted sat down and had an amazing meal. We never got to eat at the roebuck and won’t now, but will be returning to the veranda.

Nice fish - poor chips- dry and mostly inedible, indifferent service. Maybe just a bad night.

I went here for Sunday roast and was left a little disappointed. The staff were excellent throughout. The roast beef was good, I had the trio roast which was with beef, pork and chicken (the chicken and pork were over done), and considering you pay more for this, I expected a larger amount of meat, instead it was a normal amount of meat but divided up into three different types of meat. Then the veg arrived and we were given the same portion as they gave to single and couple customers (I know this because I was looking around at other tables) were given but we were sharing between 4 people! Sharing a veg portion for one person between 4 meant we didn’t get much each. This I found very disappointing.

Slightly off the beaten track but well worth the detour, you need a car really to get there but good free parking onsite. The restaurant was fairly quiet for a Friday night so we got a nice table in a window alcove. The meal is varied and our food was very good. I would recommend

I recently attended a Mother and Baby coffee and cake meet here, organised with the managers approval, and had such a wonderful time. As a mum of a very young baby, I have found meet ups really intimidating, but this was so different. The staff on site were so friendly and accommodating, the space was perfect and I met so many local Mums who I've been talking to since. The food and drink I ordered were delicious too, spending about £20 all together whilst I was there for nearly 3 hours. I can't rate the management of this Coffee #1 store though. They say they're community friendly, and had welcomed the event when it was organised, but have cancelled the next event, a mother's day special, following a complaint from another customer. I'm led to believe that the customer complained that a buggy blocked a toilet door and that the walkway to the toilet was blocked by a table. The ladies running the event checked in with staff on the day, during the event and afterwards, to ensure everything was was okay, which they were reassured it was. The manager was not on site. The toilets and walkways were never blocked off by prams or tables, unless the tables were always there since no large tables were moved. Myself and the other ladies attending frequented both the upstairs and downstairs toilet ourselves and with our babies and never struggled to get past prams. It's a shame that this complaint from another customer couldn't have been handled better either at the time or in response to the complaint if it was made after the event or directly to head office. Instead it feels like that persons(') word has been taken and our voice has been silenced. I will be avoiding Coffee #1, as will other Mum's from the group and the local area to avoid confrontation.
