Hi Team, I was very skeptical initially booking a Premier inn based on reviews I had read but to my surprise the room was nice and clean and spacious. The experience took a nose dive as we have just now returned back to an unclean room. The room was not cleaned even though I reached out to reception this morning notifying them that we are heading out and requested for a clean up. Same situation with the other room we have booked, it was left unclean even when there was a clear sign on the room. The cleaning staff is not available anymore and we can’t call guest relation team as the lines are closed at 5 pm. Had a bad experience with breakfast as well, as they ran out of hashbrowns 9 am in morning. As a vegetarian I was already struggling with limited options and this didn’t help. Definitely not booking a premier inn next time.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. When I got to the room I was shocked. The room smelled of mold and a lot of humidity. The bathroom ventilation didn't work, the door wouldn't close and all the steam came out into the bedroom. The carpet was extremely dirty, and the room had a very small window. The room lacked light and air. When I requested another room, I was told that the entire hotel was full. The carpet was very dirty, I noticed that guests were also bringing bicycles into the rooms. We had to stay for 3 days with our clothes in our luggage because there was a lot of humidity in the room. I slept with the window open most of the time. There was another gentleman at the reception who was complaining about a problem with the bathroom.I dont know if all the rooms are the same, but ours was not to stay in. I'm sorry! I understand that it is the cheapest Premier Inn compared to the prices in the city center, but it is in no way ok to not stay in decent conditions in a room. I do not advise going with children in these conditions. It is not the employees' fault, they have nothing to do, but it is a very old hotel and needs to be invested in, at least for hygiene. We pay enough for decent conditions. It is 15 minutes by bus from the city center, and you can order food inside at the Beafeater restaurant, the food is decent, but you do not really understand what the employees are saying and they do not show interest in speaking more clearly. But the gas station next to the hotel saves you because they have a supermarket. Otherwise you cannot find anything near the hotel. I mention the fact that I did the tour of Scotland, I had 6 other accommodations besides this one, including a Premier Inn near the airport at apx same price, but I have never encountered this lack of hygiene at any of the accommodations. I definitely wouldn't go back in such conditions.

Don't pay high price parking for the centre. Premier east is only 15 min bus ride and the stop for Number 44 is 3 minutes walk from the premier. Parking charge is ££3 for 24 hours. Restaurant is attached to the property so you don't even leave the building. Food is very good as is the price. Overall a great location and ideal for visiting Edinburgh

We had family room, was very mouldy and damp. Everything was wet to touch and the heating was working so hard to compensate the damp it made awful noises through out the night, staff are rude and avoid any conversation with you. Will not stay again

Just returned from an overnight stay.. Constructive honest feedback…. Service *** 3 stars on average…. ***** 5 stars - Superb service from Sam on arrival. Super enthusiastic and welcoming, thanks Sam ! **** 4 stars - Young female bar person , chatty 0 stars - older female at breakfast - very unwelcoming at 0630 am. No smile , no good morning , no small talk - about as much personality as an ice cube…quite rude really 👎 Accommodation ** 2 stars ….Adequate but dated. Musty smell in corridors , very squeaky old mattress and flat pillows- quite surprising for Premier Inn , not their best. Food *** 3 stars….satisfactory, just ! Wrong breakfast delivered to both of us, items missing off both plates which we asked for by our unfriendly hostess. Sausage skin chewy, had to spit it out👎 Will give this Premier Inn a miss in future , hope the next is better (they usually are).

I stayed in this hotel, it was such a good price and located centrally to the areas we wanted to visit. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, the room was clean and tidy with a lovely comfortable bed. What more do you want or need.

Room was always smelly, not very quiet. Had to di connect a ticking clock just to sleep. Had a transaction taken for a charge to my card. Had to chase this up twice with staff to get it returned. Bar closes at 10am!!!!!!! Cmon! Had a great shower though and it was clean to be fair

The environment is actually quite good. It's 20 minutes by bus to the city center. 30 minute walk to Portobello Beach! What more could you want? Well, quite a bit. My room had no light. Others in the double room only had one towel. After a complaint you were given dirty towels. The heating didn't work in one room. And on the first day (we had booked with breakfast), that was no longer available. Not for the whole week! Canceled without replacement. Thank goodness the gas station right next door is well equipped! Wild whirring from various technical devices rounded off the overall result. There is one star because it was dry so far and at least on the surface there were no animals to be seen...

We didn't like it. Rooms, cleaning which I had to have redone as the room with the carpet was quite dirty and service. Location easily reachable by buses that stop on the road adjacent to the Esso stop. Savory breakfast to be reviewed, paid but in the end we took the sweet one available at the counter. Dirty restaurant chairs. The hamburger in the restaurant with a very professional Portuguese waitress (whose name I don't remember) was good.

Amazing stay. The rooms, food and staff were all amazing. The room was clean and perfect for us. The staff were friendly from the receptionist who checked us in to the breakfast manager who spoke to us in Spanish. It's out of the centre but the transport links are amazing with several buses taking you quickly into the centre. Would happily return.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Service was shocking. Milk had gone off at breakfast, which was then replaced with milk in a dirty jug. I will no longer stay in premier inns. A huge loss for them as I stay away a lot on business.

Stayed at this location for 4 nights with family, while visiting Edinburgh. Compared to the other Premier Inn locations we stayed at, this was least favorable. There's not a single restaurant around, other than Beefeater, which was closed one night due to being short-staffed. Rooms are older, wifi didn't work well.

Walked in to a room that smells disgusting. Thought it may have been the last visitors. Noticed both windows were left open. Alarm bells are ringing. Had to shoot out for dinner, came back and the smell on re-entry was awful. Walked over to the main bed and noticed the floor was sopping wet. Called the main reception to complain, no pick up for 30 minutes, so I went t down to speak to Ross the “Duty Manager”. Immediately I was met with a hostile response and a violent glare by this man, instead of an ounce of customer service. I was told that the phone wasn’t picked up as he is covering multiple areas of the hotel as a one man show. I told him this was not my problem… because it isn’t. Told that there were no other rooms available. No other choice but to spend the night in a mouldy room with our two children. Given a card after a long stare down as Ross really didn’t care about the completely shameful way that his hotel was catering for its guests. Please avoid. This is a truly awful hotel with staff that are hostile rather than helpful.

Having been on a camper van holiday with a friend we thought wed face up to reality and stay in a hotel for the last night. On going to reception we were told there were no vacancies. Something about the guy on the desk didnt ring true so in the carpark we looked online AND MANAGED TO BOOK A ROOM. On returning to reception the guy wasn't even mildly surprised Three o'clock in the night I was woken up to fund the bed wet and no Id not had an accident. Someone had flooded the bathroom upstairs. Fair enough the staff moved the bed and found new sheets. Rest of the night went uneventful Great breakfast in the morning and offered a refund. The refund process is done on the phone quite a lot of hassle. Was told it can take up twenty-five days to clear. Funny how when you pay its instant

My partner and I have stayed in numerous Premier Inns across England but the customer service we have received at this branch on our first visit to Scotland has been by far the best! The lady on reception, Sam, couldn’t have been more attentive! We required her assistance on several occasions during our stay and she couldn’t of done more for us and she did it with a smile on her face! She is a credit to her profession and made our first stay in Scotland an enjoyable one. Thank you, Sam!

Was staying in Edinburgh for the night and decided on this hotel, the customer service was nothing short of exceptional, Aneta and Sara especially stood out, Aneta helped us book breakfast and was just generally very lovely, as it was my partners birthday Sara gifted him some chocolates which was really sweet! She also made the check in process very easy, really lovely. Breakfast fell a little flat for us, we felt there was not much to choose from and the quality of most things weren’t great. We probably wouldn’t go for the breakfast again, I didn’t catch the name of the woman who served us but she was also really lovely. As for the rooms, initially I wouldn’t have been able to complain but the bathroom had alot of mould in it unfortunately so we didn’t feel comfortable using the shower. Everything else was quite alright but the customer service did stand out for me the most. Really lovely team of staff

We eat lunch here on a Saturday, we eat outside. There was nothing special, it catered for tourists so the staff weren't out to impress and the food was mediocre but the beer was good hence the 3 stars.

After being their honest costumer for over a year, I have been really enjoying such a nice place for piping hot night food~ I personally favor their chicken pakora and mix doner series( kebab and wraps). the wraps are freshly handmade from dough and so do the pizzas. They get a huge portion of doner in every dish. Really friendly staff and they even remember me with warm greetings! The shop has a quite stylish collection of notes from massive countries which is fascinating, as I can find my own country’s stuff up the wall, also with some crazzz stuff like 500 million zimbabwe dollars notes which worth less than a penny(LOL). Overall, 10 out of 10! سلام
