The environment is actually quite good. It's 20 minutes by bus to the city center. 30 minute walk to Portobello Beach! What more could you want? Well, quite a bit. My room had no light. Others in the double room only had one towel. After a complaint you were given dirty towels. The heating didn't work in one room. And on the first day (we had booked with breakfast), that was no longer available. Not for the whole week! Canceled without replacement. Thank goodness the gas station right next door is well equipped! Wild whirring from various technical devices rounded off the overall result. There is one star because it was dry so far and at least on the surface there were no animals to be seen...

Room was always smelly, not very quiet. Had to di connect a ticking clock just to sleep. Had a transaction taken for a charge to my card. Had to chase this up twice with staff to get it returned. Bar closes at 10am!!!!!!! Cmon! Had a great shower though and it was clean to be fair

We didn't like it. Rooms, cleaning which I had to have redone as the room with the carpet was quite dirty and service. Location easily reachable by buses that stop on the road adjacent to the Esso stop. Savory breakfast to be reviewed, paid but in the end we took the sweet one available at the counter. Dirty restaurant chairs. The hamburger in the restaurant with a very professional Portuguese waitress (whose name I don't remember) was good.

Amazing stay. The rooms, food and staff were all amazing. The room was clean and perfect for us. The staff were friendly from the receptionist who checked us in to the breakfast manager who spoke to us in Spanish. It's out of the centre but the transport links are amazing with several buses taking you quickly into the centre. Would happily return.

•It does not have air conditioning. •The Elevator had been damaged for more than 6 weeks. •Afternoon employees, not interested in serving customers. •There are no places to eat nearby. •The restaurant is slow and waits for no reason.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Service was shocking. Milk had gone off at breakfast, which was then replaced with milk in a dirty jug. I will no longer stay in premier inns. A huge loss for them as I stay away a lot on business.

Stayed at this location for 4 nights with family, while visiting Edinburgh. Compared to the other Premier Inn locations we stayed at, this was least favorable. There's not a single restaurant around, other than Beefeater, which was closed one night due to being short-staffed. Rooms are older, wifi didn't work well.

Walked in to a room that smells disgusting. Thought it may have been the last visitors. Noticed both windows were left open. Alarm bells are ringing. Had to shoot out for dinner, came back and the smell on re-entry was awful. Walked over to the main bed and noticed the floor was sopping wet. Called the main reception to complain, no pick up for 30 minutes, so I went t down to speak to Ross the “Duty Manager”. Immediately I was met with a hostile response and a violent glare by this man, instead of an ounce of customer service. I was told that the phone wasn’t picked up as he is covering multiple areas of the hotel as a one man show. I told him this was not my problem… because it isn’t. Told that there were no other rooms available. No other choice but to spend the night in a mouldy room with our two children. Given a card after a long stare down as Ross really didn’t care about the completely shameful way that his hotel was catering for its guests. Please avoid. This is a truly awful hotel with staff that are hostile rather than helpful.

Have to say I'm getting fed up of going for a drink after work only to be told last orders have been called at 9.30/10. Not impressed.

Having been on a camper van holiday with a friend we thought wed face up to reality and stay in a hotel for the last night. On going to reception we were told there were no vacancies. Something about the guy on the desk didnt ring true so in the carpark we looked online AND MANAGED TO BOOK A ROOM. On returning to reception the guy wasn't even mildly surprised Three o'clock in the night I was woken up to fund the bed wet and no Id not had an accident. Someone had flooded the bathroom upstairs. Fair enough the staff moved the bed and found new sheets. Rest of the night went uneventful Great breakfast in the morning and offered a refund. The refund process is done on the phone quite a lot of hassle. Was told it can take up twenty-five days to clear. Funny how when you pay its instant

First time I've stayed at this Premier Inn. I certainly enjoyed it and it will be my go-to if I'm visiting my daughter. Also good price and excellent food and service at the Beefeater next door.

Stayed here for 2 nights, room clean but dated, staff friendly, food was OK and breakfast was good. Car park can get full after 6pm especially if you have a van.

My partner and I have stayed in numerous Premier Inns across England but the customer service we have received at this branch on our first visit to Scotland has been by far the best! The lady on reception, Sam, couldn’t have been more attentive! We required her assistance on several occasions during our stay and she couldn’t of done more for us and she did it with a smile on her face! She is a credit to her profession and made our first stay in Scotland an enjoyable one. Thank you, Sam!

Was staying in Edinburgh for the night and decided on this hotel, the customer service was nothing short of exceptional, Aneta and Sara especially stood out, Aneta helped us book breakfast and was just generally very lovely, as it was my partners birthday Sara gifted him some chocolates which was really sweet! She also made the check in process very easy, really lovely. Breakfast fell a little flat for us, we felt there was not much to choose from and the quality of most things weren’t great. We probably wouldn’t go for the breakfast again, I didn’t catch the name of the woman who served us but she was also really lovely. As for the rooms, initially I wouldn’t have been able to complain but the bathroom had alot of mould in it unfortunately so we didn’t feel comfortable using the shower. Everything else was quite alright but the customer service did stand out for me the most. Really lovely team of staff

I don't know how long ago someone wrote you could get a meal there for £24. Mine came to a few pence within £30 with Service for a 1 course meal. What service? It took them nearly 2hrs 30mins to serve something my local takeaway could knock up in 10mins. No apology, no explanation, no "How was it?". If you decide on their very average food, and I do feel as a veggie I was treated poorly, make sure you DON'T have anything you are booked to go to afterwards. I could have embarked on a train from Euston and got off in Manchester in that time.

Just had lamb pathia, chicken pakora, garlic mushrooms, I honestly wouldn't bother, tiny tiny bits of lamb and pathia sauce was shit, chicken pakora was OK, few bits from yesterdays stock, thank god I got a tenner off from uber eats, I genuinely would not bother, couldn't have been cooked from scratch, only took 15 minute's delivery and that's cooking it as well, 1st and last order, and that was a recommendation, don't believe your pals, Abduls at comiston Rd is the real deal

Ordered online and was told about an hour for delivery. Nearly two hours later I get a call to say the driver's car is not working. A call an hour ago would have saved me sitting about waiting. The website is also still accepting delivery orders. Only good thing is an immediate refund was issued but the catch is it takes up to 21 days to get the refund. Ridiculous

The worst broasted chicken I've ever had. The fries was very soggy. There was no flavour for burger nor broast or fries. The oil fries and broast was fried is used/ low quality as it was clearly understandable when had the meal. Big disappointment 👎👎👎

I’ve had the steamed buns to takeaway from here a couple of times and they’re delicious and very reasonably priced. Particularly recommend the coconut and pumpkin bun!
