Stayed just the one night to catch the ferry. Perfect location to get to the port. Very friendly staff. Good night's sleep and a good sized room.

Not lovely but clean & straightforward, and importantly a good location for overnighting before the ferry. Catering (breakfast/supper) is handled by the nearby Duke of York Brewers Fayre, 150m walk away.

We really like this hotel as a place to stay on our last day just before going on the ferry. It has nice rooms, quite big, big beds and a private bathroom. And yes, very important for parents with young kids: a travel cot does fit in the bathroom, it is a snug fit, but it fits! There are a few things we do not like: the doors close pretty loudly, which means you can hear anyone coming into their room or leaving. You can hear a lot of noise from the hallways and the room below or above you (depends on where you are). But the people are really nice and have always helped us with anything we needed, like restaurant reservations etc.

One night stop here for work and actually found this little hotel quite nice and cosy.. More of a Motel really, than a Hotel. Access to the hotel is via the petrol station and upon entry found check in ok, but slightly confused why have to know nationality. No other premier inn I've stayed at has asked this. Well food for here is served at the brewers Fayre and that serves food till 9pm so plenty of time to get a bite to eat. Despite the road, which if honest I didn't seem to mind as one minute heard a lorry go by, the next it was time to rise and shine, I actually slept really well. The hotel has nice proper sized baths and ample space to relax in the room. Overall a great night's stay and when next working here would happily stay again.

Good hotel for the money, just the heating wasn't working. But they supplied us with a portable heater, which helped. Staff were helpful.

Checked in for a 1 night stay, was greeted by a lovely friendly receptionist, who efficiently booked us in, gave us some tips on the local area and offered to make a reservation at the Brewers Fayre. The room was spotlessly clean, warm and inviting with everything we needed, and most importantly a comfy bed! It is so refreshing to get such great customer service!

Been here a few times now. The cafe is normally busy and there is seating outside on a nice day. Order at the counter and the food/drinks are served to your table. A variety of sandwiches and cakes available. Clean and tidy premises and staff are always welcoming and a quick turn around on serving your food/drinks.

Saffron Deal - delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. Every mouthful was fabulous! Chicken Monsuri is my husbands favourite dish and is a must. The biryani was light and fluffy with loads of chicken tikka and the lamb rogan josh was tender and plentiful. Not forgetting the huge onion bhajis - Thank you to Naz and the team for awesome food!

Horrible food. Tinned vegetables and poor quality meat. Hard overcooked roast potatoes. Horrible desert. Best eat at home or definitely somewhere else. Lots of flies everywhere on the ceiling also.

Delicious coffee and vegan sausage roll and such a lovely and friendly manager, Mercy, who is obviously very passionate about what she does. Highly recommended!

Has lunch here on a Monday. Lovely service and nice people work there. My homemade hamburger was okay. Nothing special. Bog standard. My partner’s toastie very average. Brown bread was cheap and cut. Not inexpensive, probably average prices but taking into account the quality I’m afraid that I cannot recommend this place even though I’d really like to do so. Having said that Costa Coffee is next door and I’d pick this place over a Costa anytime.
