The food tasted gone off. I could not eat any of it had to throw it away. The rice tasted like it would give me food poisoning.

Great food. Good prices. If you can get there to pick up it’s a great option. Will use again.

This is our “Go To” takeaway. The food is always very well cooked and presented. We often request food to be spicy or no mushrooms and they are always accommodating. Friendly staff and great food. Piping hot and wonderfully fresh. I would recommend Golden River.

Visited here recently for a change from our usual takeaway. Food was OK, but not as tasty as what we're used to. Some dishes were way too salty and the noodles almost tasted a bit burnt? For the prices we paid, we won't rush back.

Food is OK if you collect. Delivery is a joke, your be told an hour but realistically you will wait between 2-3 hours and receive cold food. This has happened every time we have tried the delivery service.

Have ordered from here many times. Top of our fave Chinese takeaways. Excellent hot delicious food and friendly service. Highly recommend.

What a great place after many times deciding against this place we finally thought let's give it a go and what a great place it is lovely hot, fresh, Chinese they have such a big Menu so ordering was a bit drawn out. We ordered were given a 45 min time to collect and was ready as soon as you arrived piping hot well done would highly recommend. Yet another visit this time just a meal for one person but still the same great service and food. Golden River does really deliver.

Hit and miss here, plain omelette can mean one of three things. An omelette that is in fact plain. An omelette with onions. Or an omelette with onions and chicken, had chicken twice now in a plain omelette so won't be going back.

This is our Chinese takeaway of choice we like it here never disappointed and always enjoy our meal

Absolutely shocking service. 3 hours and still hasn't arrived. Will never use again

The Girl that currently works on a Saturday evening is nothing short of rude! Extremely poor customer service skills. I would recommend avoiding Saturdays when this Girl is working, when taking the order, she read it back twice and stated it would be 45min to 1hr delivery. After waiting 1hr and 50min for my order 50 minutes longer than expected and having read the order back twice, upon delivery the order was still wrong! when I called back to explain this and to ask her to read the order back her response was “I must have got it wrong” no apology, which really would have been BASIC manners. When told this wasn’t good enough her response “ok”.. I asked for her name and she hung up the phone highlighting how rude she really is! I think a review of Saturday girl is needed before further customers are lost!! The food itself I cannot fault! I would give 5* for this and the delivery man was highly apologetic

Lovely food, nice people, varied menu, but my favorites are the classic beef chow mein and sweet and sour chicken balls.Always fresh and hot.I Don't understand the reviews regarding deliveries as its collection only.

Inedible. How anyone would order from here is beyond me. I ordered the special fried rice, lowest grade ingredients, disgusting smell, top not even put on correctly. Dire.

Its a good takeaway restaurant especially if you dont have time to cook after a very busy day. My favorites are beef chow mien, pork ribs bbq or fried, and roast peking duck! Tried to call once but we had a language barrier so its better to have their menu online and just mention the number of the specific food you want.

Wonderful place. Highly recommend the Red Thai curry.

Just moved into the Area, got a good welcome. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and gave us good advice. The food was hot and tasty with large portions. We will definitely become regulars. Thank you

Ordered a meal and told 45 minutes to an hour. 2 hours later still waiting despite phoning twice and been told on route. No idea when it will arive, order at 18:10, delivery distance no more then 3 miles and now 20: 50, appaling service!

would definitely eat here again. were open Christmas day if I remember right (I have been drunk since then so dont quote me) whatever day it was, it was a day I really wouldn't expect a place like this to be open

Made an order to be delivered, was told there would be a 45 min wait, called after an hour to find out where the order was, was told it would be another 15 to 20 mins. Waited the extra time, called back to be told another 5 to 10 mins and when asked if they were sure it would be delivered within that time they hung up!! Shocking customer service all round, ordered the meal at 1815 and was still not delivered by 2000! Would be zero stars if was allowed! Avoid, avoid, avoid!!

Friendly lady on the phone when I ordered, polite delievery man, and a really hot and tasty meal. Will deffinatly order again.

Will never order from here delivery was late and the food was not as nice as I thought it may be everything on the order was over cooked to salty or dry nice customer service though just a shame about food and delivery

Calked my order in at 17.45 was told be up to a hour ,at 19.15 il called them to see were it is abd they said they been busy and dont know how long it will be i said i have a little one waiting for his tea asked if it was ready and il go abd get it and they said they havnt even cooked it i said are you joking tgey said delivery doesn't get priory surely 1st come first served right lost my customer and family business

Gone down hill massively imo...last couple of orders the chow mein was absolutely awful...very salty noodles and were dry and the beef in the chow mein was like leather. Just rubbish...used to be nice...won't be using them again.
