During our stay, my partner was trapped in a lift. This was at peak check in time for the other guests which was the receptions only priority. They had no time for me when I was asking them for support. The guests were far more understanding than the staff and some were kind enough to try to help us, all agreeing that both women at reception were behaving appallingly. They were rude, dismissive and unkind. One of the other guests suggested I call the fire department. Would have been nice if the staff had suggested this from the beginning! They showed up in 5 minutes and got him out with no hassle. The receptionist then came over to take credit for this. After telling her it was me who called emergency services, she got defensive and tried justifying her actions, not once asking how my partner was after getting out of the lift he was stuck in for nearly an hour. We contacted guest relations and got a response a month later. They said the staffs behaviour was inappropriate and that they'll be re-training the employees. I can only hope this is true. We also got refunded £27 our of the £100 we spent on the room which is better than nothing, I guess. If you do go here, maybe avoid the middle lift!

Nice hotel in a good, central location. Only downside to any hotel in Bristol centre is parking. Yes they have their own car park but one cannot reserve a space in advance. Staff were friendly except for the night guard who stands with a clip board asking for your identification at night. If a valid room card allows you to open the door, why do guests need to be harassed? The room was absolutely great, comfortable bed in a large room with a TV, wifi, bath and shower.

Not much point reviewing as the hotel is closing very soon.

The staff were very welcoming when we arrived and always friendly. We stayed 2 nights. Our room wasn't cleaned or wet towels removed in between which was fine but not what we expected. The bed was comfortable. The sink in the bathroom was cracked, the bath-tub overflow leaked++ (hence wet towels) and the windows - secondary glazed were covered in mould in between the two layers. The view that there was, was grim. It's a convenient central location, £16 a day to use their car park but it does fill up, even in lowish season, so no certainty if getting a space - we got the last one on arrival. We didn't eat in their restaurant but lots of cafes nearby. Overall, the place needs a serious refit.

We paid the parking fee for this hotel, but it didn't provide enough parking space. The manager of the hotel is very unreasonable and rude.

Great location, alright price, disappointing room. The shower leaked so the bathroom was a wet room. We had one clean and one dirty towel, gross. We were on a top floor but the windows were totally shot so couldn't see out at all. Had to pay extra for a parking space. The additional bed (we were in a family room) had seen better days. Nothings premiere but the price.

This hotel is situated in a perfect location right opposite Cabot Circus and the main shopping centre. If you didn’t want to eat at the hotel, which has a Beefeater attached you can just walk over the road to the food quarter of Cabot Circus. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel that will take you to the Mall shopping centre at Cribbs Causeway or You can walk over the road and grab a bus to Bristol Temple Meads. The hotel does have a phone line to call a taxi service Z cars , but in future if I was to stay in this hotel and needed a taxi I would probably find one of the Bristol Blue taxis. Reason being Bristol Blue taxi charged me £7 to get from Bristol city centre to Bristol Temple Meads whereas the Z cars charged me £15 for the same journey. Taxis aside. Despite being in a busy location the rooms were very quiet you couldn’t hear anything from the traffic below. The beds were comfy and all the staff I spoke to were really helpful and friendly. I got to the hotel quite early and for £10 they let me check in to my room. Which I was grateful of as I could have a shower and sort my case out before going out into the city for a bit. I ate in the restaurant which is a Beefeater, again the staff were pleasant and the food arrived perfectly cooked and quick. One thing I will say is that I’m incredibly saddened to hear that this wonderful Bristol landmark is going to be demolished to make room for yet more flats. They’ve said that with their newer hotel at Finzels Reach near Temple Meads that they don’t need this hotel anymore. I find this hugely disappointing. Having a hotel right in the heart of the city is ideal for tourists and those with mobility issues who can’t walk very far. When I was little I used to wait at the bus stop over the road by what was then Debenhams every weekend with my mum and sisters looking at this hotel and restaurant and wondering what it was like inside. I finally got the opportunity after being sent here for work only to find it will be gone. It will be a sad day to come into the city and no longer be welcomed by the warm lights of the Beefeater. I hope to see it one more time if I’m able, but if I can’t then I wish all your staff the best of luck and thankyou for the memories over 30 years <3

I stayed here for one night. I was told by the receptionist that I should pay for my parking at the end of my stay. I have now received a £60 fine for only paying for parking on the second day and not the first. The parking situation should have been made clearer by the staff but clearly they couldn't be bothered. Thanks, Premier Inn.

It wasn't the best premier inn that we have stayed in. We had a family room on the 17th floor. I didn't sleep as the mattress was uncomfortable and I only had one pillow. We had a pillow each. The room was tiny and cramped. I felt a bit claustrophic as you couldn't open any window and air conditioning didn't feel like it was cooling our room. The hotel was like an old high rise tower apartment block. We were given an option for a lower or higher floor and we chose the higher -17th floor but the view was just the busy road. The wifi was only on for an hour per day and parking was additional. Premier inn breakfast was decent enough. Also, you have to go to the reception every day if you want fresh towels and your room made.

Nice room and friendly staff. Convenient to access the city and easy to get to from the motorway. Parking is first come first served (not just open to hotel guests so is busy over the weekend) and is very tight. Also much more expensive than the £16 for 24 hours quoted on the website - the parking cost £22!

Stayed for a weekend. Room was ok but pretty basic. Main bed was comfortable but the second bed was very basic. Booked a twin room so would have been nice to have the same style beds.
