Premier Inn Blackburn South (M65, J4) hotel in Blackburn with Darwen

Great stay here for work, lovely friendly staff who were very helpful and polite. Rooms lovely and clean too with no issues at all, as expected from a premier inn.

Blackburn South refused to check me in 50 mins early unless I paid £15 fee. They admitted the room was ready but still wanted £15 to check me in early. This is the only Premier Inn I have been to in the last 3 years that has had a problem with a slightly early check in. We use Premier Inn for business and have stayed in hotels all over the country without an issue. So now I am having to work in my car until they can check me in. Will make sure all of my colleagues are aware of the unhelpfulness at this hotel.

Arrived for sons wedding and had early check-in, staff was so friendly and polite, asked the cleaner for iron/board and she said at reception......so off she went to get it for me, thank you kind lady 😀, staff in restaurant so friendly aswell, asked for black puuding at breakfastand i got black pudding 🙂, hats off to you all and thank you for a nice stay.

Great location when travelling to Wigan for an early start. Quiet through the night and a very pleasant girl on the desk as check in. Fantastic value for our family of 5 so needing 2 rooms.

Hotel is fine, very friendly staff, ready to help. Easy access and on-site parking though some EV chargers could be added. The pillows were rather hard, like sleeping on a wooden log.

Lovely place tucked away from traffic. Lovely clean rooms. 2 portable fans. Has its own restaurant, food was beautiful, and plenty on ya plate. Lovely and quiet. Staff are brilliant, so nice and friendly. Recommend 100%

Nice enough hotel, right off the motorway. Rooms are standard premier inn rooms so not bad and the restaurant next door is pretty good. There is a play area inside so it's good for kids but if you are looking for a quiet meal you might want to try another place.

No longer has a pub attached. Now just a basic restaurant that close at 10pm and is a taxi ride from any pub

Absolutely awful stayed there for 3 days, staff can't even clean properly and they look like they are all disabled if I'm being honest with you. I advise the owner to change the cleaners 1. They don't clean properly 2. And when you complain they don't seem to care 3. They are always making too much noise 4.They need to be fired from that job. My visit was 1 month ago

Good location and good restaurant downstairs

Everything you'd expect from a Premier Inn, comfy beds and friendly, helpful staff.

Stayed in a room with a double bed and two singles, and there was an amazing amount of space. Came with free WiFi, too. The premier inn joins onto a pub, which is extremely handy. Nice place to stay.

But tired around the edges, not what you expect from premier inns, being a shareholder I was a bit taken back by the brand appearance

The hotel was fine. Didn't see any members of staff but my husband did at check in then all other times I passed the desk it was empty. Saw the bar staff at breakfast. If you've ordered the unlimited breakfast you get a ticket to get 1 plate of hot food. So not unlimited at all. You can't go back and get a fresh plate for more so that was hugely disappointing, I've never been to a Premier inn breakfast like it. Usually it is unlimited and eat as much as you like but not here, so we wouldn't return unless we needed the location again and wouldn't pay for breakfast again.

The hotel is nicely located right next to Darwen town centre and is just on the border of Blackburn so there are plenty of things to do. The hotel staff are very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant next door is quite good and reasonably price with a kids play area as well the rooms are comfortable. However, occasionally, certain things have not been cleaned to 100% but it has never been overly dirty. All in all a good place to stay
