Quiet and cosy Costa in a busy area. The coffee and cakes are as good as ever but on my last visit I was annoyed that the staff took an order from a friend/relative who shouted an order from behind me in the queue and then served him first!

I always come for a coffee every day the staff or lovely and cheerful I'm always made welcome the service is very good very quick at servicing me my coffee and i always recommend this costa to friends and family

I go through the drive through everyday without fail I don't really eat the food but I get my coffee every day and I must say most of the staff are lovely don't even need to tell them my order but they have one or two individuals that make you feel not welcome and are not polite and infact you can tell your being talked about with the sly whispering and funny looks nobody should be made to feel like that. I even know the days I'm gonna get a decent coffee and when I'm not. Bottom line you work in customer service and customers pay your wage no customer no work no work no job , if you don't enjoy your job it's high time find another as for the rest of the staff fantastic 👍

Always nice to be greeted by a cheerful staff member who remembers your coffee....can't say the same for others though.... Apart from the crazy prices coffee was good yet a nice greeting tends to go a long way

Purchased a mozzarella & tomato panini and a bacon roll, the server did ask if both could be cooked together, I did say if they can be done together why not , when the sandwiche came the mozzarella was still cold, they re-heated the sandwiche- this time the panini had a slight crispy outter, this I like - yet the cheese still was cold. Omg Iv turned into a right grump! Being typically English Iv left it on my plate without saying anymore This is my only negative after coming here for years

So much better than the one in the town centre and especially that disgusting one in next this one is very pleasant with nice friendly staff and always very clean!

Food an coffees are on point. I have my go to cappucino with a shot of vanilla or caramel syrup. Very lovely seating area and also got a toastie and chocolate muffin for my daughter. Food an drinks both fresh lovely place to sit down an relax.

They never have my first choice. Today I asked for a mango n passion fruit cooler and no joy! Why can’t they get their stock in order. Pathetic

Can be a great place but do have one or two bad staff that can not get there job as helping the customer. I just ask them to make my coffee the exact same way a always have it but every now and then they will try to charge me extra because I ask them to push a different button on the machine because I like my coffee strong not more coffee same amount but strong percolation time most of them all understand but some no lol.

Friendly staff and a perfect place to wait if your car is being fixed across the road.

Coffee great but always seem to close early in comparison to opening times stated on door- same reasons- Staff member down Costa in Next accross the road is more punctual.

Attended the shop to meet a colleague,staff very friendly and accommodating to throughout my visit.The shop had a nice feel to it in making people feel welcomed , thoroughly recommend attending if you wish for a nice quiet brew

Does Blackburn deserve a nice and clean cafe, where the service is professional, serves what you ask for and you can hear nice unobtrusive music in the background (as in other Costa cafes)? Do people from Blackburn and Darwen have to use a cafe that resembles a dirty dive where you don't know if you can sit down because you can get stuck everywhere? In many places in Europe I drink coffee in Costa but this one is probably the worst, it is no longer a coffee shop.

Staff is rude and useless. Make you wait at the till because the 2 girls are chatting about personal life and when your order is ready, shout from across the café for you to come get your order. 3rd employee was alright and no issue with food

Staff stood around talking while tables had dirty pots on ... toilets very dirty ... staff just didn't care Will not be returning

Female member of staff (tall, spoke with a foreign accent) was very rude. Also took nearly 10 minutes to get through the Drive Through. The staff at the nearby Townsmoor Costa within Next are so much more friendlier and welcoming, but it only opened later than I visited the Drive Through.

My fave costa to go to the staff here are brilliant, alwats welcoming and brilliant with my kids who are alwats swapping g and changing their mind! Highly reccomend *****

I asked several times for extra chocolate and for the mocha to be a 2 shot mocha because they make the mocha too strong. The second round they made it is still the same they purposely are doing this. It’s out of order

The lady behind the counter is unbelievably rude! There was a young girl who was obviously new to the job, made a couple of mistakes, but instead of helping her she just made awful faces and didn't care that there was a queue of customers. Very rude woman, not cut out for dealing with people at all. Poor girl, this is not acceptable.

Woman behind counter just now was rude and snotty - she was telling me off and stating I should have placed order at the booth and didn’t I see it. I hadn’t seen the little booth thing. There was no one behind me and she served me anyway so she could have been nicer about how she said it considering it was a genuine mistake and signage is clearly rubbish if I didn’t see it.

Always friendly and costa coffee is obviously the best 👌

I visited costa today with my auntie and Sister. We were all looking forward to a slice of cake and coffee however we were spoken to very rudely when we asked one of the staff members to repeat what cakes were left in the Drive-thru. Because of this we left straight away and left without whatever we had ordered.

I'm not a huge fan of coffee, but was in the mood so popped in for a latte. Got my little lad a porridge, this was made with lukewarm milk which didn't make the porridge oats swell and thicken (not hot enough) even the package said use boiling water. Won't rush back.

Drive through never open Absolutely pointless Third time had this issue and only been here 3 times

Friendly helpful staff, good coffee and food.

Slow service, waited over 5 minutes for service, no one else in drive thru. No polite conversation, just given order end off.

On my previous visit there was a dead rat in the drive through area on the outside floor showing no one had inspected it. Also outside the coffee shop no one has bothered to paint over the black paint marks someone has made. I'd say improvements needed. They need to show more care of the surrounding area.

Parked outside this place (20:39) which closes at 9pm and the door is locked, no service by the drive through or the store.

Have been to this Costa nearly every weekend as my wife has ice skating practice next door. They have never got an order wrong, atmosphere is nice and the staff are really friendly and helpful.

Have to leave a bad review. Me and my friend ordered iced caramel lattes and got some sort of frappe?! They also gave us the wrong food that we ordered. It took over twenty minutes to make the drinks and they mixed our drinks together (one was decaf and one wasn’t) despite it being completely dead. In the end the drink ended up being a mix between a banana and caramel frappe and none had coffee included. Would recommend that people go to the one at Darwen services as we went there after and they fixed this for us!

I'm boycotting costa coffee. Turns out 5% VAT rate for hospitality sector had never stopped. Costa from 1st January stopped passing on the 5% rate to customers and have been charging customers normal prices as if it was the full 20% VAT. I rang your customer services department twice, one customer service advisor admitted it and the other refused to deny it.

Always been good, but last few visits I have been given wrong order and my hot food wasn't, it was cold

I hate to leave bad reviews but i felt this deserved one - I am allergic to milk, myself and colleague ordered the same drink, mine with coconut milk and his with whole milk, they arrived and neither had a label on them to state which was the coconut and which was not, so i asked my colleague to taste them for me so that I didn't have an allergic reaction and my colleague simply couldn't tell the difference. I specifically requested coconut milk for this matter. I called to ask if they could please send me another one or at least refund me as it is dangerous for me to have cows milk and they said "i deffo made one with coconut milk " so basically told me to guess haha... She said " they couldn't do anything about it" too great...... customer service i wont forget. I have attached a pic, I beg anyone to tell me which one is the coconut milk so that i can actually drink the drink and have the £5.10 not go to waste.

i love costa but have been to this drive thru 3 times and every single time they have gotten my order wrong!!! as it’s a drive thru i have only noticed the drink is wrong when i get home and take a sip, so there’s not much i can do about it unless i stop to taste it and then have to go in the shop to complain. not happy:(

Worst costa ever. Hardly have any biscuits or muffins in stock all the time and have brain dead people working there who have difficulty understanding or hearing. And the drive thru menu is useless.

I mean, everything was good but I ordered marshmallows and a flake as extras on my hot chocolate and they put them IN the drink? Not on a side plate thing? Nice to finish your drink with a melted stick of chocolate at the bottom ...

Millie at the Peel Retail centre was an amazing barista, excellent customer service and I will be returning again as the entire experience was brilliant.
