Powells Bistro in Powys

Lovely bistro in centre of town. Very welcoming hosts. Excellent food and service. The portions were just right and the food was very tasty. Great range of dishes and drinks.

Liked the look of this small Bistro, and were not disappointed - good food, nice coffee and quick service. We had quiche and salad, and fried chicken and both were tasty and enjoyed, There is a friendly atmosphere, a range of menu choices and specials all at sensible prices.

A small restaurant close to the centre of Llandrindod town centre. It is run and staffed by the two owners who were very welcoming and friendly. The menu was very good with lots of variety. The meal I had was well served and I enjoyed it immensely. I haven't been there before but I will definitely go again. Try it and see what you think and when you do say hello to Sally and Nick. Parada junto con mi esposa para almorzar en unas cuantas ocasiones cada vez que vamos nos sentimos siempre muy bienvenido el servicio es estupendo y la comida es una maravilla! Lugar acogedor para comer y muy amable sin duda recomendable

Nos detuvimos aquí para almorzar antes de un largo viaje en coche. Las opciones, sándwiches sopa café normales de menú, sándwiches tostados. Todo muy bonito. Mejor chocolate caliente del viaje! La señora era amable y eficiente. Los baños eran bonitas y limpias. observado algunos lugareños comer aquí, y estaba claro que eran bien conocidos por los dueños, y lo que era agradable de ver. Sin duda volvería si alguna vez en la zona.

Stopped off in Llandrindod on the way home from a 3 night break involving excessive eating and drinking. We were looking for a light but tasty lunch and found it here. Unpretentious is a good word to use - pinched from an earlier review. The place had a kitchen feel to it. Staff were efficient. Baguettes freshly made and really nice, crispy chips. Very good value for money - would visit again if stopping in Llandod.

Powells is a nice little cafe serving good food. It's fine for a reasonably priced lunch. Does the business and the owners are friendly and efficient. Quick service when you are on a break from work and the food is freshly prepared.

I visited , for our Xmas, dinner with a group of ladies from Llandrindod . It was a very nice meal, served by attentive staff. we all thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Visited the bistro for pre show supper. The food was freshly cooked and was tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. Well done.

Sorry but not impressed with the fish and chips, the fish was the battered variety available in any supermarket, expected freshly battered cod at the price charged. Unfortunately the milkshake also failed to satisfy just milk poured onto flavoured syrup not whipped and no icecream to give it some body. All in all poor.

Owned by Nick and Sally this delightful bistro provides all you could wish for: amazing home cooked food, a great variety and there is always a helpful, friendly person to serve you... You can sit in the restaurant or outside in good weather; have any food you desire to take away; you can even hire meeting rooms there and they also cater for outside functions so if you are in the area and need good wholesome food (chips also available) do contact Sally and Nick who I'm sure would be happy to help.... Would highly recommend!
