I placed an order on just eat at 2.30pm, so not even a busy time, it took them 5 minutes to respond to my order and they declined it and still took the money from my bank! I phoned them up to ask why my order had been cancelled, a very rude male memeber of staff answered and said because they were “too busy”, I wouldn’t have minded waiting a little while for this, they had my number could they have not rang and asked? I said “seriously you cancelled because your busy?” Like what food establishment isn’t busy? And he very sarcastically replied “ yeah seriously” what kind of staff does that!? Not an apology or anything, very rude and disrespectful to their customers, they need to employ people who can actually manage to do their job, it’s pasties that go in the oven not rocket science, not exactly a hard task is it, never have any problems with the other pound bakery’s so just avoid this one! Absolutely appalling…..

when i arrived i was horrified about the smell but as i was in a rush decided to risk eating the food from here. Bought 2 sausage rolls and the pastry was under-cooked and the sausage meat cold in the middle. i also bought a steak pie which i was looking forward to considering my sausage rolls were not fit to eat. the pastry tasted like soap and the meat tasted like someone had tipped a can of pedigree chum into a pastry case and cooked it. If you want to risk eating here then do so at your own risk but dont say i didnt warn you

Unbelievabley cheap place to eat. There are a few tables and chairs at the back of the shop to sit in and eat, or a takeaway counter of hot pies, pasties and sausage rolls. Though I haven't sat in to eat, there are a selection of very cheap meals available. A few of the pasties and pies are 2 for a £1 which is amazing value. My Granddaughter calls here for a takeaway lunch when in college. She says the pasties are good and hot and there is a spare one for the homeless man on the corner so 2 lunches for the price of one. Excellent cheap eats.

This place offers a five item breakfast for £1. One person had thick toast which was tasty and one had a freshly baked pasty. These were a pound . Tea is good . Staff are very friendly and helpful. The demand for tables is high . Lots of people having the £2.50 breakfast which includes toast and drink!!!

Had breakfast here twice now first time I thought I’d try one of their breakfasts every item is 40 pence expect for toast that was 60 pence a slice but it’s huge like a door stopper I just got one of everything was very nice for £2.60 it certainly exceeded my expectations and the second time I visited I was fancying a bacon sandwich which again was lovely on thick doorstop bread that cost £1.80. The only issue I had was seating there isnt enough in my opinion there’s too many 4 seater tables usually with just one maybe two people sat at so think it would help if they had table that can be separated as its a little uncomfortable sitting at the side of somebody you don’t know. On my last visit I had a wait for a table due to this reason too many people sitting alone on one table waiting in the queue behind me but they put their bags on the table before they joined the queue so nobody else could take them which is pretty annoying but I will visit again as food and staff are lovely and it’s great value for money just needs seating arrangements looking into.

There is a great range of hot pies, pasties and sausage rolls, as well as sandwiches and cakes etc. The 2 for £1 deal is excellent value. This place is keeping other similar shops on their toes.

What is there to say.... You get what you pay for. 2 pasties for £1 and who knows what goes into them. Either way I still enjoy the food from here and well worth a visit for a quick munch when on a tight budget

Stopped off here for a bite to eat before going to the Theatre Royal. We had small plates between us which were excellent. We even had some lovely deserts,Cheesecake and Apple and Almond Tart. The service was great and the food came quickly. All the staff here were very friendly We will certainly call here again as we visit St Helens regularly.
