Pound Bakery in Bolton

If you want a quick hot snak or a sandwich then this is the place to go though I’m not sure the title POUND is relevant these days.

In these trying times and living in Bolton, some of the pasty’s and pie shops seem to be on some kind of drugs. The price they are charging for a pasty or pie filled mainly with potato and have absolutely no flavour it’s ridiculous. Ok pound bakery isn’t any more due to price costs. But 2 potato and flavourless meat pasty’s cast £3 or you can buy 2;tasty pasty’s for a £1. It would seem were going into the snob society. The more you pay the better your status. Ie a BMW and a Hyundai both do the same job but there is to much snobby in the world.

Bought 2 x slices one beans and the other cheese and onion. Both had plenty of pastry but little filling. I also bought a tuna roll. The roll was excellent and tasty but where was the tuna? A thin spread of a tuna / Mayo paste just enough to give a remote tuna taste but not enough to make you think you actually have any filling of substance. Basic cheap and cheerful food and service but very little value.

if you are on a budget the pound bakery is a god send the food is not the best but is not terrible but the customer service was great
