Delicious food, I usually get sweet and sour chicken.

It was ok but its all down to personal opinion.

Updated June 24 Changed hands AGAIN Deteriorated AGAIN Unclean, rarely have the staple menu items ready at any time of the day. Overall taste isn’t great of any food that is cooked. ——————————————————————————- Recently cleaned up and looking acceptable HOWEVER, watch your change. £10.50 for a single portion of sweet n sour prawn. Challenged them against the menu prices and utter bloody confusion with a calculator followed. Not using a till, cash only via a petty cash box. Still clearly more to be done to get to a good standard local chippy. Food wise the sweet and sour tasted very commercial, suspect the sauce is a bulk buy rather than fresh. Also bulked out with a huge amount of thick cut onions and green peppers. Prawns were ok, and I found a single chunk of pineapple in there too. The fried rice is acceptable but a very small portion considering it’s £2 extra for any Chinese meal. Personally I won’t rush to return I’m afraid.

I had the number 3 on the lunch menu offer, added chips and grabbed a large sausage to eat while I waited. Firstly the sausage was freshly cooked and piping hot, I have to say it was probably the best sausage I have ever had from any chippy ever...(maybe because it had just been cooked). The lunch meal is great value for money, myself and my wife split it and it's more than enough for us (especially as we added an extra portion of chips). The staff are always friendly too, can't really fault them, or the value for money.

Terrible food, ordered chicken chow mein, chicken was slimy and the noodles looked and tasted like they were out of a pot noodle it was mostly bulked out with large slices of onion, don’t bother

It's was so called under new management yet again. There have been 3 lots of different people in recently. The food is disgusting. The fish is so dry, no flavour , chip, there's more scraps than chip, very pale. Chicken fried rice, omg chicken was like rubber even my dog would not eat it. Nit be going back.

Updated as the service and food quality has improved a lot this year. Hope this continues!

Lovely takeaway meals and is a convenient location with parking spaces! I noticed there were new owners and as such their service is slower than usual but still satisfactory. I will give them time to adapt and perhaps change a few small things to make this takeaway better, but it is already looking better in terms of food and cleanliness. At first I was scared of trying as a recent review said sweet n sour prawns were £10.50, however when I ordered it, it turned out to be only around £5.90 which is cheaper than most takeaways in this area; glad I didn't listen to that review! Overall lovely food and experience :)

I have not had any issues, the pricing was satisfactory - however can be a little slow. The portion size was satisfactory; even giving a large volume of the set size (small, regular and large). Some of the latest reviews criticise the pricing, however would they not notice they would’ve charged more than they should have. Furthermore, this establishment has long been using calculators to total their change - I have been going to this establishment very often - not once has there been an issue with the pricing.

Gone really bad but more expensive; food was tasteless and sloppy. Won’t be giving it another go.

This used to be one of the best now everything just tastes cheap the fried rice is awful bland , 2 stars purely for convenience of location

Absolutely disgusting food, asked for sweet n sour chicken balls they were cooked in the fryer where everything else is cooked, all I could taste on them was fish, very greasy and chips where more like scraps, horrible, all went in the bin.won't be going there again.

Although I've given a 3* I am willing to try it again as I know they have just recently taken over hence not having everything on the menu. The staff are lovely so I will give it another go in a few weeks. Good luck to the new owners

had chips and peas cold and chips very poor quality will not be using again . absolute rubbish.

Not as good as usual. My chips were cold when i got home, disappointed

Salt and pepper spare ribs, probably the worst I’ve ever had. Salt and pepper chips, we’re probably cooked 4 hours before delivery

Don't bother terrible food. Greasy fish. Soggy chips. Beef chow mein no taste except of salt and msg. They need to sack the chef. Never go again. Utter rubbish

Keep on driving either way, the next Chinese you get to is much more worthy of your custom. Alternatively try Essano across the road, Amazing burgers and such lovely and nice staff who value your custom and offer much better service and value.

I wasn't happy they charged extra 5p for a fork and was quite expensive for the chips peas and gravy compared to other places and that comes with free fork.. Won't be coming back in a hurry

Good chippy , been going for a good while , shame they don't do the sausage dinner anymore- sausage/chips/pea's & currys , was a true winner dinner 😋

Dirty gaff with new owners now.. used to be alright. Iv took food back because of their cutting corner tactics for example putting blended chicken in your won tons instead of prawn..Curry is watered down so it's tasteless and the chips stale.. never again I eat anything me usually but this place is rotten.. lucky to get a 2

Tried here on Saturday for the first time my hubby only eats English food and he's fussy! He had fish & chips and enjoyed them.....I had salt & pepper chicken wings and special chow mein ....it was really nice ...lots of fresh veg and plenty too will definitely go again :-)

Old fashioned tasty Chinese takeaway and chip shop. Fab portion sizes, really reasonable prices and nice staff.

It was our first time and we only had chips, they were superb!! Definitely going back and will try some of the Chinese dishes. Recommended.

Never ad a problem,gutted it's changed hands but not tried it since it has,think some people are bein a bit dramatic saying it's the worse by far!!!! I've been using it for about 6yrs,no complaints from me

Chips are always undercooked, takes about 20 minutes to get your food! Never ever go there.
