Lovely staff always a warm welcome. Now dog friendly inside which is good for us - spacious enough for even our large dog to lay down without him being a bother to others. Really nice home cooked food - all meat bought from a local butcher and veg from a local greengrocer so it is really nice to support the local community as a whole. We visit often and will continue to do so!

Unfortunately it was a bad day(RAINY) so maybe my assessment was clouded. There were no other people in, so not quite sure why the service was slow. Several members of the group ordered scones which were quite good but I think a little overpriced. After all this is a garden centre not a restaurant. Don't expect too much. On the whole not bad.

A wonderful visit to Potting Shed for Fish Friday. Fish Pie to die for and a gorgeous cheese omelette followed by the signature Jaffa Cake Cheesecake. Service with a smile!

Stopped by this garden centre and cafe. The cafe seemed to be very popular for meals although we only had coffee and scones - which were enormous and very tasty! Great selection of Christmas decorations in the shop too & the plants looked great.

Nice big scones and decent coffee. Not too expensive. Decor and set up a bit dated but still nice. Adjacent garden centre a bit sparse but worth a wee wander round.

I went here Easter Monday with my husband, son & little granddaughter. Its ideal to go with your little ones to look at all the plants as they love the play area in the plant section, sand pit, slides playhouse tractors ect. Then to go in the coffee shop were you can sit and relax with a drink and scrumptious cakes. Coffee and walnut, lemon cake carrot cake, Bakewell, scones. As well as light meals which all are reasonable prices. And yet again another soft play area for the under 5 year olds. Its beautifuly decorated with mushroom town paintings.Theres a gift shop which I think have locally made items.Well worth a visit

For what you get and the amount I think it is rather over priced.Toasties, salad and a few crisps near enough £7 if I remember correctly and the toastie comprises of only 2 slices of bread so not a lot for your money really.we have also had the pie which again I only had 3 pieces of meat in it and had been microwaved too long as the crust had gone solid and was unable to eat it What started as a good place to eat has definitely declined a little. You can recieve the same type of food and for the same price but probably better quality at some of the local pubs and bars.

Called for a drink and a bite to eat on a walk around south cave. Can't fault this place. Friendly good food and drinks. I would highly recommend it. This is all due to the hard work of the people who now own and run the garden centre as well. You deserve lots of respect. Come on South Cave rally round a local business doing good.

Is one hour a reasonable wait for food and to be told after 50 minutes that one item is no longer available? Not in my world.

Dropped in for a quick drink on my way to a holiday break and had a sausage sandwich and mug of tea all freshly and quickly prepared. A very basic menu to chose from but there is enough choice so most peaple should find something to eat or drink

called here when I needed a quick break it had been recommended when I last visited the area and although I only had a drink it was beautifully hot and served to the table quickly . The snack meals I saw brought outblook nicely presented and where again delivered fairly promptly to the tables. There was an area next to the place I sat in which appeared to be set out the things for children to do and it was quite full. You ordered and paid at a counter through a little gate which was presumably to keep the little ones in because this is where the childrens sitting area was

We stopped in on a Tuesday late afternoon. There was only one table occupied so it was nice and quiet. We both had double scoop cones. There were loads of ice cream flavours to choose from. Yummy.

We booked into the lodges next to the Gardeners Inn and decided to walk around for dinner & drinks. The venue is decorated for Halloween which I did enjoy and we had a lovely welcome from the waitress. A few item were sold out but the menu was plentiful and the food did not disappoint. I had the sizzling hunters chicken and my partner had Korean Chicken. Portion size was fantastic the side salad & slaw was fresh, definitely the best hunters chicken I’ve had. Banoffee Pie & cream for dessert again it was better than any other I’ve tried. Lovely atmosphere, service time felt right for the number of tables eating and the price was reasonable. Would recommend 100%

First visit to this lovely little restaurant to celebrate 🍾 both Mother’s Day and my wife's 60th birthday and we were not disappointed! The setting in the window table with background music and plenty of space was perfect. We ate off the a la carte menu and we both had three courses complimented by a bottle of fizz. Each course was food heaven and the service was exceptional so we will be returning for the Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday in April. Thank you
