Please ask for large curry sauce ( probably cost more ) as they give u a very small.pot like macdonalds for your meal sadly gone down hill in last while

Love this,our local Chinese. Food is consistently well cooked with excellent vegetarian options. Service is above and beyond, you would have to look hard to find anyone nicer than the young man who is usually at the counter. Highly recommended!

Possibly the driest chicken chow mein we've ever encountered. The batter on the chicken was undercooked, and the accompanying portion of sweet n sour sauce wouldn't have filled an espresso cup. Chips were decent enough, but they were supplied with most miserable portion of curry sauce we've seen. We didn't receive the free portion of prawn crackers, promised with a purchase over £20. The chicken satay on skewers was good with a decent amount of sauce. We won't be back.

I had the "Shredded Chilli CHicken and fried rice from here. The fried rice was fairly standard as was the chilli sauce on the shredded chilli chicken. The chicken however was extremely tough. Not just the odd bit but every piece. I have no idea how you could cook chicken to make it so tough but they managed.

Fabulous food! Best takeaway for miles. Food always hot and delicious. Great choice as well from the menu.

Visited on Monday night and had an amazing meal- ordered the mushrooms in garlic sauce, king prawns chow mien, mixed veg and king prawn and king prawn kung po and it was all delicious. Definitely going to be back, couldn’t recommend this takeaway more. Very fast service too.

Tried this Chinese restaurant every time we go on a camping trip, its a popular and busy little takeaway - you will not be disappointed.

Our first takeaway from Portsoy Chinese takeaway. Had sweet and sour chicken balls with egg fried rice. Pork balls with Satay sauce chips and free prawn crackers. WOW, there was enough for another person. It was beautiful, and not at all expensive. Well worth a visit.

We ordered a Chinese while staying locally and all agreed that it was possibly the nicest we have had. Food quality and taste was good. Food wasn't greasy as is often the case with Chinese takeaway. We would recommend this to family and fiends. Specifically the new munchy box which as £18 was more than enough to feed a hungry family of 4.

Our order was crispy duck with pancakes (always a winner!) and hot and sour soup. When opened, the duck was terrible. It was beyond dry and wasn’t easy to eat. Soup was watery. Avoid if you want quality and taste.

We visited this area on holiday and had read the reviews so had to try the food and we weren’t disappointed, so much so we ordered from it twice while on our holiday. Staff were pleasant, service was fast and cost was reasonable. We had chicken friend rice, roast pork chow mien, vegetable spring rolls and salt and chilli chips, tasted amazing and the portion sizes were good too.

Came here last week for a takeaway even though its a little way out for us. Has to be said one of the best we have had. Chicken curry and chicken fried rice was very tasty. I had the salt n pepper prawns, lots of prawns and really good. Will return and recommend

I’d recommend this takeaway to anyone although I have given 5 stars there is one issue that’s cropped up, the vegetarian menu offers “mushroom in garlic sauce” as a meal (..which I’ve had several times it’s to die for served with chicken chow mien!!) but the last twice I’ve ordered this dish, instead of the full sized portion exactly same size as chicken chow mien size with full uncut button mushroom, maybe 15/20 mushrooms in the dish, I’ve received a small “tub” sized sauce portion with 6 slices of mushroom instead now I don’t know if the dish has been removed and menu is awaiting update or whatever but I was very disappointed as I have grown to love the original dish as the flavours complemented everything beautifully and I now think this “sauce sized” portion with 6 measly slices of mushroom is an insult to the original dish... seriously.. Other than that tiny issue it’s still the best takeaway I’ve had in a good number of years and I will be back over and over, keep up the great work :)

I would have given this takeaway 5 stars, the chicken was excellent, batter excellent, fried rice as good as any, but the tub of sweet and sour sauce was about half the size of other Chinese takeaways, barely covered my chicken, and only half my rice, so half my rice was wasted as it was too dry to eat. Mrs had special chow mein and she loved it. To the owner dont scrimp on the sauce and i'll be back!

Excellent food, had a takeaway for two to celebrate my birthday tonight. The order was taken and within thirty minutes I was tucking into some very tasty food. The meat was so tender, sauces just right, decent sized portions and reasonable prices. I’ll definitely be back.

A family takeaway supper was ordered on a week day evening. Everything was ready to go on arrival. Nothing missing. Friendly/helpful staff as usual. Good value for money. I tried spicy chilli beef for the first time from here and my meal/quantity was excellent. Cash only. Still the best. Thank you PCT.

A mid-week takeaway didn't disappoint.We phoned and gave our order, which was ready in 10 minutes. Ample free parking on the street outside. Friendly staff on arrival. The takeaway surroundings being immaculately clean.My chicken/mushroom, fried rice, chips and prawn crackers were the best. I love the sauce/taste/flavour added to the rice. Our portions of crispy chips (just they way I like them) and crackers were huge (couldn't eat all the crackers). Under £14 for the 2 of us (cash only). Kept me going for days! I still think that they're the best Chinese Takeaway in this area.Thank you PCT.

Tasty, reasonably priced and ready when requested. What more do you need? Would definitely recommend.

Very tasty takeaway of chow mein and fried rice dishes. Good clean flavours and sauces not to heavy in the dishes. Would use again if staying near Portsoy.

We regularly visit the area on holiday and enjoy eating out and take out meals as we don't want to cook on our downtime. Despite trying many Chinese takeaway's between Banff and Macduff, we've always struggled to find one that we've enjoyed, so we were quite excited to hear that this one came highly recommended.We had a lovely meal - the mixed starter was lovely and so was the crispy duck, but the fried rice that came with the main courses spoiled the meal a bit - I almost felt that it was pudding rice, rather than long grain rice. There's nothing else I could criticise about the meal, and perhaps next time I would ask for noodles rather than rice, but I hope the establishment takes note of my comments and attempts to address the problem.

We have a caravan at Sandend Caravan Park two miles away. We love Chinese food. This is one of the best Chinese takeaways we have ever had. On a par with Golspie's. Well done Portsoy Chinese Takeaway. We'll be back.

Another supper from here for the 3 of us. Quick, efficient and a polite service as usual. Great value for money. I had a huge chicken/mushroom, fried rice and prawn crackers. It was excellent. Still the best. Cash only accepted.

Our family were driving back up north from Dundee one evening, when we decided to order 30 minutes ahead of order pick up, a Chinese family takeaway, worth over £38. The Portsoy Chinese Takeaway was chosen for the first time by us.Wow! So far the best local Chinese Takeaway we've had....by a long way! Polite, friendly, efficient (all the order was correct), good value (extras for spending over a certain amount of capital) and excellent food. Stuffed (my chicken & mushroom, fried rice, prawn crackers and chips could've/would've been ample for 2-3 people I reckon).It was so good that my wife phoned the establishment to thank the owner and his staff.We'll be back.
