Porto Piri Piri in Glasgow City

I've been ordering from Porto Piri piri since they opened and can say I haven't had a bad meal yet. I ordered the peri chicken & rice box and a peri chicken wrap with lettuce cheese & salsa, everything came hot & fresh. The wrap was filled with chicken nicely toasted, i couldn't finish it as there was so much filling. As for the chicken & rice box, loads of chicken peices & the rice was nice & fluffy. One thing that could be improved is i would recommend more spice & sauce in the box it was getting a little dry further you got down. I asked for (inferno), and it wasn't spicy at all for me. I love the garlic sauce. I alway's have to order extra.

Food came and the chicken burger and wings are pink the peri chips only had peri seasoning on the first 5 chips tried to phone the shop but phone hung up and now not answering

Not sure if the managment has changed but something has changed, the tater tots box is now smaller, the garlic sauce in the tater tot box is now not even evident, the tater tots themselves where burnt and it was just dry i give this now a 1/5 not a 5. Chickhen nancho burger - soggy not succulent and was just dissapointing, this went from our go to takeaway to now never ordering from here again. Whoever is making the tater tot box now needs to go and find the person who was making it before becuase now its appalling and now I will change the review from 5 star to 1 star.. My 5 star review is below, but bare in mind it based on 2021 & 2022. Garlic sauce = immaculate Grilled chicken = succulent Tater Tots box = mouth watering I rarely order food but when I do, it’s always from here. The garlic sauce is amazing, the burgers are fantastic and we always get the tater tot box, generous amount with lots of chicken and you can pick the sauce topping you want obviously the garlic one is the best. If your new to Glasgow just order from here and if your from here and haven’t ordered before then what you waiting for? You won’t be disappointed trust me…

Used to be so good in here but gone downhill badly. They get my order completely wrong constantly. Always takes longer than what they say. Food still tasty but sick of paying for incorrect orders!!

It's a basic fast food sit in or takeaway place. Food was good.

Went here second time and wasn't disappointed. The chicken was very fresh and tender. Cheesy fries were the best I've had and portions were generous. I would recommend this place 10/10

It’s a 50/50 gamble on whether or not you get a burrito that isn’t an absolute mess. This place is okay when it’s good, terrible when it’s bad.

SHOCKING, let this be the last time I order food from somewhere I haven’t been to before. The corner takeaways. First off, the chicken was bland and tasteless and had a weird flavour, maybe they fried it in petrol oil. How can I order inferno which is supposed to be extra hot and it came tasting like bread. Even by looking at it I could tell I was gonna be in for a nightmare. Honestly I would have felt bad leaving a review but it’s not that hard to season chicken well and add nice sauce to make it taste nice. No excuse.

I have been ordering from Porto regularly for years. It is my go-to for lunch orders as they quickly deliver fresh, delicious and inexpensive peri peri. I get the "mix-it-up" box which I feel is an absolute bargain. Those mac and cheese bites and nachos are amazing, too.

Food is absolutely delicious and respectful staff amazing experience I brought my kids here and they enjoyed it so much

Do not buy from here they do not give you your food you paid for. I went there to dine in nd orderd my food when food comes its not properly cooked chicken was so smelly nd everything is cold . Fries like yesterday cooked also the order is wrong when i call the girl she start blaming to me rather to accept its her fault. The taste was disgusting i just get one bite nd left all over there. The staff is not professional no cleanliness. The counter staff girl dnt know how to deal. Was very bad experience. Bread, chicken everything is disgusting.

First time I went in here with my family, 2:30pm on a Friday, what a terrible atmosphere! All seats except 4 were taken by Shawlands academy teenagers, not eating so many of them vaping freely and swearing! I had my kids there with my sister and her son, I spoke to the manager/owner said this is bad they’re vaping , taken seats not ordered food, he wasn’t apologetic but did speak to the teenagers in all tables and said how long? And don’t vape ., eventually they left and it was quieter with few adults that managed to get a table and actually sit and eat. Food was nice. Spoke to another shop keeper who came in and walked out he said that’s a regular occurrence in there.

Nice food over all but can be a hit and miss sometimes chickens undercooked

Got my order wrong twice in a row. Called and tried to blame me and when I said ‘read the comments on my order’ he apologised and said he’d resend the burger out. 90 mins later I called and he then said ‘you can have it next time’. Safe to say I won’t be ordering or receiving said burger 😂.

I ordered a burger from Porto peri peri the burger was disgusting they put sauce in my burger even though I didn’t ask for sauce I put it in my Uber eats order no sauce but they gone and put sauce in my burger even they I said not to put sauce in my burger but they did. I never recommend Porto peri peri

Fast delivery on Deliveroo and large portions, but food is mediocre and piri piri is absolutely drenched in sauce

We got a takeaway delivery the food was disgusting chicken undercooked and the potatoes tasted offf ,,mozzarella sticks were rock hard I didn't eat much of the food but i was ill with a sore tummy afterwards

Everything arrived cold and stale. Got refunded £4 on a £40 meal. Nothing was labelled so we had no clue whose was whose. Chicken smelt bad and tasted funny. Wouldn’t come back.

There food never misses. Always delicious and decent prices too! Staff are always friendly. Their indoor seating is also nice and clean. Highly reccomend this place.

Delicious food and large portions, I am quite partial to the donner offerings having tried the wrap and tasca, bursting with flavour, plenty of sauce and delivered FAST! EDIT: The nachos were also delicious, worth picking up, lovely cheese sauce! I look forward to my next order from here!

Amazing place. Food was delicious but most of all customer service was amazing. I didn’t manage to get the name of the lovely lady who served me, but she was so kind and helped me out when I was in need of a bit of help. She went above and beyond to help me and I am so thankful for everything she did. Will definitely be visiting again.

We tried whole chicken and it was cold inside. Not warm enough. Return to them asked make warm again. But it was not warmer. And the staff were keep looking at us to get off from the restaurant before 10:30 ? Why so hurry I don’t know 🤷‍♂️ Just left the food there walk away 1st and last time ever. 🙏🏻

We oder from Uber eat by 1 get 1 free and I call as well to confirm if it’s order everything okay but when we come to collect there just give one item and food was cold

I went with friend and having ordered together for sit in our food arrived at different times while my friend finished his food. Also my mix it up box was cold. Couldn't understand the Indian girl screaming the place down.

Gave me and my wife a sore stomach Ordered again as I was recommend by a friend and didn’t want to judge based on a single experience. Missing items and the portion size wasn’t consistent. UPDATE REVIEW * they are much better now in terms of service and food. 👍🏻 so have changed it to a higher rating I was made out to be a liar. Never there less the food is nice. Overall I recommend waking in to get your food and checking your items before you leave.

Chicken was ok. Chips were microwaved and disgusting. My work mate got freshly fried chips, mine tasted like yesterday's heated up. Barking avoid.

I ordered a 2 peri rice box and was one of the worst rice box smelt like puke and did not taste anything like rice and gave me food poisoning I do not recommend buying from this take away. Very disappointing

The peri peri fries are absolutely amazing! I didn't really like the smoked garlic chicken box with rice, the rice was just plain with a sort of strange lemon flavour. My husband had peri peri on the bone chicken and he thought it was amazing (and he is very fussy) I recommend trying the place.

Tried this place last night for the first time and it was delicious. I got a cheeseburger with onion rings on and cheesy chips. Was so tasty and came really quickly.

Chicken was burnt and I mean black chunky bits in my the spicy tot box. The person making the meal knew what they were making also there was no tater tots but instead hash browns were put in as a replacement. Full of oil and very sickening. Was ill for 2 days afterwards.

Great food, wings are quite small but the marinade is great. Don't get the quesadillas, they have plastic cheese inside them.

Love this place, used to be a big fan of pepes then they really started dropping their standards. Tried Rio’s once too but someone recommended I try here. It’s honestly so good. It’s just peri peri chicken and chips but in the best way. Worth the extra few quid compared to its other competitors. If you’re partial to a pepes, deffo try here. Once you go Porto, you won’t go back.

Got chicken and rice with 5 strips extra - as im a big eater. Very nice food saucy grilled to perfection rice was not as greesy or oily as majority of other places. Nice food good price cant go wrong with this place. Defo recommend any apna in going here. They defo do what they say on that pic also they have a sink to wash your hands

Ordered a lamb donner and this is what I got. Burnt, stale donner! I didn't even know it was possible to burn lamb donner?! Customer service was abysmal too! Wouldn't go back to this place ever again and wouldn't recommend it either! Absolutely disgusting!!!

Standards have been falling and last night was the worst experience. The chips did not come across as fresh, suspect they had been reheated and the burgers came through flat and not correct - mild ordered and certainly was not mild received. Sad and not likely to order from here any time soon - there are plenty of alternatives.

One of the best places to get food. If you are ever in the Glasgow area you need to try this place out wouldn’t recommend anything else. The burgers are outstanding and you get a decent portion of chips

If there's one thing I avoid its lamb especially if its delivered, but I've heard about the lamb cutlets from Porto and the most excellent marinade so I gave it a go. Oh Yes Get in, ordered the mild smokey garlic cutlets and the Hot , no sides required as these come with rice (nicely spiced) and fries 🤷‍♂️ just standard carbs.. The order arrived online and steamy HOT , Tasty AF and tender lamb. I priced up for me to cook the same meal from a supermarket not wholesale and the £12.25 Porto price is very sound. £25 ( excl delivery ) fir two adults and a child is Spot on , obs its quality not quantity 👌 . TBH I priced this meal up because I was going to cook it again today, but Hell Nooooo I'm just going to order again and mix up the marinade. This is the real deal and apart from Taze Restaurant in Kent and my Turkish brother from another mother lamb, the lamb cutlets are worth the money.

I'll say what everyone else is thinking. Much better than Figos and food is ready for the time advertised!

Went for my lunch break today and got a double chicken burger. This is my usual order and it is always so tasty, juicy and on point. However, today when I opened up the packet the bun had blue mould all over, bottom and top. I only have a limited time for my lunch break so couldn't go back or get anything else so ended up hungry the rest of the day. A few days previous my brother had a bad tummy from the chicken. Basic health & safety is not being followed here. Do not buy their food. Called to let the owners know so they don't sell more mouldy buns to customers but there was no answer. I am so gutted because it was great for a while and I was going often. Never again!

Foods Excellent and the portions are large I would recommend the chicken and rice boxes.

Got a really nice Deliveroo delivery a few weeks ago and I was blown away by the outstanding quality.

I order a mountain burger and they give me a a thin piece of thick chicken on the burger; it just me right off! It seem they are cutting the costs by taking shortcuts... I phoned and complaint and customer service was poor!

Please update your prices online. Ordered a family platter for £14.95 from the online menu but got charged £17.25 on collection from the shop. Disappointed! I appreciate the quick response from the restaurant management and am looking forward to the new menu with more choices. Thanks!

We had the most amazing meal for Valentine's Day. The spicy chicken burger was so good, words cannot describe!! Hot burger, nice soft bun and crispy chips. Portion was huge!! 10/10 from us. Porto Piri Piri you hit the spot as always!! 🍔🍟

I dont eat chicken on the bone however I tried the chicken wings and they are to die for! Food is amazing!!!!

To be honest I ended up spending more than what I asked for, it's like they say 1 thing and do another but the thing that annoyed me the most that they advertise mongo lassy so I bought 1 for myself and 1 for my misses only to be expired like its laying about for weeks. If that's what they going to give customers. I might iswell go elsewhere. Why spend your hard earned money only to be given something that's past its expired date.

Its just OK, but Pepes is best in Town . NO doubts about it.

Really loving this place there burgers are really nice with different t spices and combinations to choose from and oh my days there piri fries are the best piri chios I've ever tried.

The chicken noodle box is just lemon overkill. the kids meal is good value and the naked chicken was good for our 7 year old. The butterfly chicken was nice but overpowered with lemon again. Was looking forward to this but we didn't order lemon chicken so disappointed.

Ordered 2 tower peri peri chicken burger meals from here through Uber delivery. One word..Fantastic! Although the food could have been a bit hotter (this is a problem with most deliveries I find), the food was amazing! Absolutely huge burgers which were moist and succulent with delicious hot peri peri sauce and fresh tasty salad and onions and the peri peri French fries? Sensational and a huge portion too. Excellent value for money. Although a meal deal may be a few quid more than McDonald's or KFC, this is in a totally different league! Honestly the best chicken burger and chips I've ever tasted. Will be ordering from here regularly now. 👌

Burger and chips were OK. Chilli sauce was delicious. Monday was last of the half price deal but they refused to provide table for two while tables were available. We had to try their food so decided to get takeaway. Sad. Staff did not look professional/trained.

First time trying this place and the food was tasty. butterfly chicken mid was lovely good size 2 beasts of chicken. Wings with inferno sause was good would've like it hotter and if you like your wings well done need to let them know, I forgot and got soft skin. wedges top class spicy rice lovely, but very small portion. onion ring nice and crispy. corn tasty and soft. chesse mash lovely and tasty but again very small. Garlic mayo yum yum. Packaging the food come in does look nice but don't let that put you off all n all very good tasting food Edit Second time ordering here From start to finish they delivery was spot on, no long wait etc. Asked if they could make the wing extra crispy and they did thank you. Food was outstanding peri chips, spicy rice and hot wings. Will order again 5*

Fantastic place, I discovered this gem a few weeks ago and haven’t been able to get enough since. Try the chicken wings and lamb chops with hot sauce. If you like Nando’s, you’re gonna love this. It’s truly in a league of its own.

Disappointed, we received our order and it was missing chops and chips, I called and they said they would send the rest over but never did, the food is tasty but I'm very disappointed in their service.

food arrived stone cold. minus a chip, side, drink. Contact the shop. Get told will send out fresh ones. Receive the order an hour later. stone cold again, minus the side and chips, but with onion rings? contact shop again just get told sorry and contact uber eats and also that they definitely DID send chips (they didnt). So we're now 2 hours in and still hungry, still havent recieved what we ordered and down 21.50 unless uber eats saves the day. Super poor communication from shop. Manager couldn't understand my address or my complaints and basically cut me off with a thank you sir have a good day in the middle of my complaints.

Loved the food will be definitely trying their other stuff in their menu, although inferno flavour wasn't hot enough for me anyway but very tasty Piri Piri flavour.

So impressed we had to leave a review. Ordered the butterfly chicken and quesadillas. Chicken was juicy grilled to perfection with your choice of sauce which was spot on and the sides were all stunning too.
