La comida estuvo grandiosa. Mi esposa y yo tomamos pizza. Fue muy fresco y auténtico. Nuestro servicio fue bueno, aunque parecía un poco lento. Habíamos pedido pan y aceitunas como aperitivo, que se olvidaron de traernos. Terminamos comiendo después de nuestra pizza. A pesar de la confusión, todavía estaba delicioso y se ofrecieron a darnos gratis. El ambiente y la decoración son muy agradables. Nos sentimos como si estuviéramos en Italia.

Este es un pequeño lugar escondido en una tienda. Comenzamos con la bruschetta que era un poco difícil, pero estaba delicioso. El tomate y las especias eran muy buenos. Luego tuvimos la pizza americana que fue absolutamente maravilloso. Los camareros eran muy agradables y el lugar tiene un gran ambiente.

Absolutamente servicio de cinco estrellas y comida de calidad, no planeamos comer en dulwich, o comer en un restaurante italiano, sin embargo, tan contentos de haberlo hecho. El restaurante es luminoso y moderno, y cada miembro del personal es amable y profesional e irá más allá para ayudarlo.No puedo esperar para volver! !

Ristorante italiano ubicato nei pressi del nostro albergo. Siamo stati a cena previa prenotazione, poiché il locale è alquanto piccolo. Il personale è gentile.... è “simpatico “ il fatto di poter entrare e ordinare in italiano, scambiandosi anche delle informazioni di provenienza. Le pizze che abbiamo assaporato non sono state male. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è molto buono, tenendo presente i tipici standard londinesi.Consigliato.

Sono stato in questo ristorante 3 volte con la mia compagna ed i bambini, locale molto familiare e accogliente, vedere un sorriso quando ti servono è un piacere, tutti dovrebbero sorridere, prezzo medio, menù per bambini ottimo, abbiamo mangiato bene e in abbondanza, questo è la giusta strategia per chi vuole farsi un nome, complimenti, consigliatissimo.

Este es un restaurante a medida que ofrece una amplia variedad de comida de alta calidad a un costo razonable. El propietario es tanto de carácter y erudito. si quieres comer algo que no está en el menú, sólo tiene que pedirlo. Nada es demasiado problema y si pueden hacerlo, hacerlo. El ambiente es bueno, así como la lista de vinos. La ubicación es de fácil acceso y este es un restaurante que es probable que usted sorpresa con su calidad y consistencia. He visitado este restaurante varias veces y nunca hemos dejado decepcionados. En mi última visita, pedí Spaghetti con pollo Bolagnese milanese. El plato de pasta que cocinado a la perfección, una salsa muy fina que no grasienta y pollo a la milanesa, que era sencillamente espléndido. Muchos lugareños frecuentan champiñón pero vale la pena el viaje. El aparcamiento es gratis y fácil. Transporte público en tren desde Victoria es de 11 minutos y hay un servicio de autobús frecuente a Oxford Circus. En general, este es un restaurante bien administrado, italiano de gran calidad que ofrece calidad superior. Vale la pena explorar (como la lista de vinos! )

We had 28 people for my mum's birthday lunch. The food was delicious, staff were brilliant & the whole event went smoothly. We have eaten here many times & each time the food has been excellent. Great local restaurant.

A stones throw from my front door, this restaurant has become a favourite, food is always good, specials even better, enjoyable wine list. Music is at a level that you can enjoy a conversation. And the owner and his staff are always very friendly.

We ate at Porcini last night together with our 21 month old granddaughter. Food was delicious. Service was friendly and professional. Soup of the day was piping hot. Pasta was al dente, just right. And the risotto was perfect. Apparently, risotto is my granddaughter's favorite! Like grandpa like granddaughter. Price is also extremely reasonable. Will definitely go again soon.

We eat here about once a week - the specials change on a Thursday and there's always a choice of three starters and three main courses, in addition to the à la carte and set menus. The food is consistently good, excellent pastas and staple...

We went 3years ago and we have dinner two times. It's a very italian food! Sorry for the English but i'm italian!! I hope to back soon.

Este es un bonito restaurante, especialmente con el frente abierto cuando el tiempo es bueno. La comida es deliciosa y el tamaño de la porción bien, pero éste no es barato. Creo que ofrecen un menú de almuerzo especial. El personal es agradable, pero es los precios del centro de Londres.

We visited as a party of eight including two children and had an overall good experience, the layout and open frontage bringing to mind restaurants one might find on the Riviera. The food was good, served promptly and without fuss if any specific requests were made. While it is a good restaurant it occupies a certain niche or style which gives the impression that where it is now is the ceiling of its capabilities. This is not an outright criticism as we would certainly visit again and there is something to be said about establishments that offer a certain feeling of relaxation and being comfortable in its own skin; it is perhaps a nod towards a restaurant that does what it does very well, however if one is expecting a mind-blowing culinary experience then this venue may not deliver that.The staff were very pleasant and affable, always on hand to assist and advise albeit perhaps too eager to top up wine glasses given the turnover of bottles we experienced. Ahem. On that note, the white wine we had was not particularly brilliant by any stretch of the imagination which is a disappointment to anyone who has watched ITV's The Wine Show and the recognition it offered to the vast array of grape varieties and blends particular to Italy. Arguably, more attention to detail is needed although it would be unfair to criticise too harshly bearing in mind the size of the group and therefore the different palates.

This is a great Italian restaurant in west dulwich. Nice tables very well put together and great staff. Had seafood linguine which was very good - lots of different pasta dishes to choose from and great desserts.Well worth booking a table...

we used to dine at Da Porcini regularly some eight years ago before our move to Italy. Some staff have changed as has the restaurant BUT we received a wonderful welcome, excellent service and the menu, despite significant competition to 'change' in Dulwich remains true to Italian/ Mediteranean cooking. A wonderful Sunday afternoon dining experience at reasonable cost in West Dulwich. Not Michelin Star standard but then neither are the prices. A lovely all round experience if you enjoy Italian/ Mediteranean food and Service that remains authentic to its roots.

Having been to the Dulwich Picture Gallery (V Good) we were passing and looking for lunch and thought we would try this local restaurant.The food was good, service was helpful but not intrusive and the costs were very reasonable. The seafood marinara and spaghetti are both to be recommended.

OK, I'm a regular. But only because I like the ambience (it can be busy, but the staff love that), and more especially I am often surprised by how satisfying the food is. In a long menu you have many Italian standards, but you may also like bean soup with cavolo nero (hope I got that right!) or stuffed figs amongst many specials. Always choose the veal ragu if its on.... The restaurant isn't cheap, but the consistency suits us, and we have returned from some fine trips to Italy where we have sought out the best and still felt that Porcini offered us something at a comparable level. Staff very helpful, but keep in the background unless you want to chat.

Excellent food and homely service, I have rented the downstairs room several times now and the meetings have all been a success. With a wide menu to choose from, the food is always well presented, delicious and served with true Italian gusto!

The food and wine are good. The service is professional and friendly. The owner of Porcini pays a lot of attention to detail. We sensed that many regulars frequent this restaurant.

We've been using Porcini in West Dulwich since we've moved to the area and go there on average 3 times a months. It a great Italian restaurant! The food is very tasty and well presented. The team is very professional and friendly at the same time. It's also nice to see that the owner is often there and helps out when needed!I strongly recommend!

This is a local for us, you can park outside and we think it is a hidden gem. The food is quite clearly high quality, and I think that the pricing is very competitive if you compare to the lordship lane restaurants. We are usually here for lunch, and we have never had a bad meal. We tend to go for the daily specials, and have always been very pleased.

Had my 50th birthday dinner there and the food was amazing. It was the first time I had Italian food that good outside of Italy

Durante il mio soggiorno a Londra mi sono rifugiato in questo locale. Ambiente piccolo (conviene arrivare presto o prenotare), buona la pizza, primi cucinati con sapienza ed il calore del sud. Consigliato.

What a great place! The decor, the service, the menu and wines are all authentic Italian. Great evening, great food, great wine. If I lived in Dulwich I'd be dining here every Friday night! It's just great and the prices are more than reasonable. The calamari was simply superb, the king prawn with smoked haddock (zanerelli?) was surprising in presentation and tasty too. Get down there and try it, you will not be disappointed.

Best calamari I have had in a long, long time. Staff very helpful. Lovely meal. Well worth a visit . Not cheap but worth it for a treat.

it's great to have a local restaurant that's a short walk from home and where you can depend on good food, friendly service and a decent wine list. Porcini fits the bill. There are always some delicious specials to supplement the menu and the set menu in particular is great value for money. My favourite of the moment is pork with a mustard sauce - and I always order the deep fried courgettes (although my advice is to order two portions because everyone loves them!). Perfect night out with friends or family.

A good range of dishes, nice service, comfortable surroundings. Our main dishes and desserts were of excellent quality and perfectly seasoned and presented. I would have given Porcini five out of five, but I thought the wine list rather too expensive.

Have been here numerous times, each visit has been fantastic. Extensive menu to choose from, including "Daily Specials" plus ample wines and drinks to choose.Stylish decor, relaxed atosphere, intimate ambience too.Excellent service, very attentive without being overbearing. Food very well cooked and presented.I would personally recommend, Gamberoni starter, Shinco (melt in the mouth lamb shank) & Tiramisu, follwed by their Formaggi. Look forward to my next visit

This is an very good unpretentious local Italian restaurant offering good value food. We went there for dinner recently and had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. The menu is reasonable extensive and is supplemented by daily specials. I started with the fried calamari and followed this with the lamb shank whilst my wife had the Palma ham & melon followed by the daily special of salmon fillet with fresh asparagus. The food was excellent and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Overall this is a great local restaurant to which we will return again & again.

A short walk from my home this place serves really high quality food with a great selection of wine for each course and more fantastic is the familiar staff who go beyond to please this place deserves more recognition I highly recommend

Siamo capitati al Porcini per caso, avendo l'albergo di fronte....si mangia ottimamente, anche per i criteri italiani e i prezzi non sono alti.. abbiamo mangiato lì tutta la settimana.Accoglienza da parte dello staff eccellente, abbiamo trovato cordialità e disponibilità.Un caro saluto a tutti i ragazzi.

We visited for a birthday meal - it was our first time here and we found it a very memorable evening. The decor is stylish and the ambience is relaxed and intimate. The service is very good; attentive and accommodating but not over the top. The choice on the menu is very good; pasta, risotto, and a wide selection of meat, fish, side dishes and specials. We ordered starters, main courses and side dishes. The food was perfectly cooked and very tasty and the portions are generous. Plus we tried a bottle of the house white wine, which we found to be a very nice bottle for the price. We would highly recommend this restaurant for couples looking for a relaxed but high quality meal out.

Fresh Italian food. Bistro style. Service by Italian staff was outstanding. Good prices. £60 for two including a delightful bottle of red Italian.

The staff are lovely, the ambience therefore very pleasant, the wines are good, and the antipasti are good, especially bruschetta. But it was a bit downhill after that, the main courses do not really appeal. We all had pasta (maybe the fish special was good, it looked good on other people's tables) and the desserts were poor except of course for the sorbets.

We have been to this restaurant in West Dulwich a couple of times now (once for lunch and once in the evening for dinner) and have enjoyed both visits. The food and service were good and, if it is fine, the whole front of the restaurant is open. We haven't yet eaten there during the winter, having only relatively recently discovered it. The prices are not exceptionally cheap, but are more reasonable than, say, in central London. All in all, we have thoroughly enjoyed each experience here.

We loved going to this restaurant, but after our visit tonight we were somewhat disappointed. The food lacked flavour and some of the key ingredients were hard to identify. This above the sweating smell at the back of the restaurant certainly makes it difficult to support your locals.

My son suggested this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh, tasty, not too fast, not too slow. The service was authentic Italian and friendly. Pasta excellent. Fried courgettes a starring side dish. Chicken still moist. Wine list not too long but very well chosen. A very pleasant evening indeed.

This is our go-to restaurant. Good food, large portions, promptly served by friendly staff in a nice atmosphere. The standard menu is varied and the ingredients always fresh. There are daily specials and set menus at lunch and dinner. And to finish: really good, strong espresso.

Siamo arrivati a Londra a sera tarda ed abbiamo mangiato in questo locale perché vicino all' albergo. Alle 23 chiudono (????!!!) ed abbiamo dovuto insistere perché ci facessero da mangiare. Per il resto molto cortesi e qualità del cibo buona.

I came across this place by chance when I was looking for somewhere to eat. Some people in there, so I was reassured that it wasn't being shunned, but there was plenty of space. I loved that, not only were the staff Italian, but so were many of the customers.I had focaccia to start - a bit dry, and far too much of it. Wouldn't recommend it. The saltimbocca alla Romana, however, was delicious, as was the pinot bianco I ordered.Only quibble - the service, while friendly and considerate, was as though they were moving through quicksand. This was unfortunate, as I was in a hurry - but it's impossible to hurry them up. Recommendation - leave the whole evening free to eat here.

Porcini is clearly a local favourite for the residents of Dulwich and has a good selection of pasta and carne to choose from. We started with 2 of the specials - whitebait and sea food bruschetta and both were fine. The seafood with squid ink pasta was a little short of seafood for the price but had a good flavour. The veal was excellent and served in a very rich sauce.The service was friendly and unobtrusive but this is not a place for a quiet night out. With one largish group (8-10 people) it was almost impossible to carry on a normal conversation without shouting.

We always love Porcinis the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing. Would really recommend coming here if you are in Dulwich !!

sono stata da poco a Londra e per strada abbiamo ricevuto la locandina del locale...ci siamo andati a scatola chiusa, ma siamo rimasti soddisfatti...Sembrava di essere in Italia....ottima la pizza...e buone le lasagne.., ma anche la pasta con le polpettine (con mozzarella e parmigiano)!!! Inoltre l'accoglienza è stata delle migliori...abbiamo conosciuto Francesca una ragazza romana cordiale, disponibile e simpatica...insomma ci siamo sentiti a "casa"!!!!

Nice place. The food is not too heavy. I had chicken saltimbocca and I liked that the chicken was in think smaller portions rather than a huge hunk of meat. My husband had the fettuccine and since it was so late in the evening he appreciated that it wasn't too creamy or heavy. We would go back here again. Good service.

The best risotto anywhere, terrific pasta, we've enjoyed everything we've ordered. Prompt and charming service. An absolute delight. It's our go-to restaurant.

Porcini never fails to disappoint especially if you like generous portions of Italian food the way Mamma makes it! It's a treat for the West Dulwich area which has not always been well served for choice when it comes to eating out. On our latest visit for a birthday treat we immediately met a couple we knew dining a deux without their respective partners who in true traditional Italian style sent over wine for our table. My partner enjoyed the liver and bacon and I opted for a hearty pasta dish. The service is extremely friendly and mine host appears to know most of his customers by name. The only drawback is that it does get a little noisey when full. Try it if you are Dulwich way any time.

We have visited about 6 times now, and each has been excellent.The staff are friendly and always have a smile on their face - whilst you get a special greating if they know you, "first timers" won’t be disappointed.Believe me the menu will not fail you even if your family comprises born-again carnivores, pescetarians and vegetarians. Whilst there are many dishes to suit those tastes, the kitchen is more than happy (& able) to modify/create a dish to your specific tastes (but I wouldn’t insult them with vegan/macro-biotic requests).Price & value? Good for that area & the dishes are more than ample. House wines are very palatable.Definitely worth a visit – but again, book for weekends.

This restaurant is small with two floors, ground and basement serving excellent italien food.Service is good and the menu is easy to understand.Really need to book a few days in advance as it does get quite busy, especially at weekends.Open lunch as well as evenings..

I have eaten here several times over the last three years and every time the experience has been a good one. There is a good choice from the daily specials, a la carte and set menus. Also, the staff are accommodating if you have particular dietary needs, e.g. lactose intolerance.The chef obviously cares about food and the presentation is good. Very acceptable house wine and decent coffee. The staff are friendly and seem to know a lot of the customers showing that this is a very popular local restaurant.

Ate lunch with a friend at this restaurant today. Interesting menu, beautifully cooked. I had roasted goat's cheese with rocket, followed by haddock wrapped in smoked salmon and served with a mango salsa. A little surprised that the fish was cold. Dessert was a yummy creme brulee. All delicious. Slightly haughty staff, but was service excellent......this could be because my friend eats lunch here every day. Overall, somewhere I would return to.

This is one of our regular haunts, a neighbourhood restaurant, worth taking a detour to. Superb staff, always very welcoming, quick to remember preferences and with interesting food options as well as old favourites. We love it. A la carte as well as very reasonable set menus. Excellent espresso too.
