I had a really disappointing experience here. The food was both raw and cold, which was concerning. I’m hoping I don’t end up getting sick from it. Definitely won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Great food but sadly it wasnt hot the delivery driver seemed to just bring it from his car in the plastic bag not inan insulated bag

I won’t be back here again, the pickled cabbage wasn’t pickled at all, which what I look forward to when eating a kebab. Also I ordered a large chicken shish and the pieces were so small especially for the price. You’re better of going to the Kebabery where the actual chicken sizes are bigger.

I ordered a large lamb shish. When it came there were 7 very small pieces of meat. It was a very poor portion size for 12.00. I will not be ordering from there again

Absolutely disgusted, food arrived cold with missing salad. The food was inedible. I called the restaurant who sent salad but would not replace the cold food. I spent £50 for a meal for my family that we couldn’t eat, the restaurant was unhelpful and just kept passing the blame on just eat, please contact me

We always order from Poppy’s. They always deliver before the estimated time of arrival and always great quality food. Wouldn’t order from anywhere else for our kebabs!

The food is great but it’s usually cold/warm when it arrives and not hot. It doesn’t help that they put an ice cold can of drink in the bag to suck out the heat from the food.

Our boss treated us to lunch, most of us had the chicken shish which was really good however our boss said the lamb shish was quite fatty. Go for the chicken peeps!

Pathetic food it was cold and rock hard... When talking to someone they were mumbling and I had to ask them to repeat themselves absolutely disgusting...

Got a takeaway from them it was undersized incomplete and the food rock hard will never order from them again when phoning to complain I had some mumbling guy on the phone and had to ask him to repeat himself and 10 times and when I finally understood him he said I should take it up with the delivery company... I'LL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!

These reviews are obviously subjective. I can only give my honest opinion. I love Poppy’s… their pizza’s are so fresh, kebabs tender, salads crisp, and let’s be truthful, they’re cheaper than their competitors. We’ve eaten the £30 chicken shish from elsewhere ( very nice ) but comparatively no competition. I don’t know the owner, the staff or the delivery driver… but if you read this, you know where to deliver the freebie 😂 Try them, top notch grub

Chicken donor was burnt and had no flavour to it! Was disappointed!! The chips were re heated! The other food was okay but wouldn’t go there again!!

I’ve been ordering from Poppy’s regularly for the past few months and I must say I’m very impressed with the quality of food and the friendliness of the staff. Food is always piping hot and portions are more generous than other places to be honest.

Good place to eat if you have one of them colds where you can't taste anything! However at all other times avoid this place! I have been stupid enough to get a kebab from here 3 times and everytime am shocked at just how bad the food is! The meat for lamb or chicken donner tastes like it is part rat and part cardboard box! And they can't even manage to serve it above tepid, and whatever heat is in it is quickly extinguished when you ask for chilli sauce and they take it from the fridge and dump it straight on your meal! Never ever again.

We ordered tonight . The order was missing a Donna wrap. We phoned poppy and explained the order was missing. They said they had no drivers now, my son missed his dinner! They told us it was there, obviously wouldn’t have rang ! It was part of a large order , no customer service !

Working away from home and tried this place out, I wasn’t disappointed at all the food was lovely if I’m ever in the area again I will be returning here

Had it delivered by go getters. The pizza is unreal I couldn’t believe how nice it was! Dinner meat hallumi etc all bang on. Cheers boys👌🏻

I love the food! I asked clearly to mark our wraps to identify veg and meat one. We had to open them to see what is inside

We orders a lamb Donna wrap came with a pinch of salad cold was like eating a cold meat row wrap and chicken Donna burned that look like if you’ve eating amd spat out with no sauce that we’ve ordered also stone cold as well and cost us £18 that we put in the bin o would advise to go to Kebabery as you know the saying never judge a book by its cover as poppys looks amazing from outside as kebabery doesn’t look much from the outside but the food is so much better! Plus the man on the phone was laughing at us when we asked for refund No customer care ! But my bin loved it

Worst kebab ever. Garlic sauce is tasteless and watery, chicken tastes of nothing and old, probably leftovers from yesterday. Salad tasted awful. Don't waste your money.

Used this place a few times over the years. It’s cheap and never felt compelled to write a review , good or bad until now 😳 Delivered early , you think that’s usually a good thing. Chicken was so salty it was inedible. Pittas were soggy , so kebab fell apart (who doesn’t deliver separately in a foil bag?). Doner meat dry and no flavour. Chips are a joke , reheated yet cold. The best thing was the salad , and seemed fresh Even the kids complained , And to top it all , as I am clearing away , there was a black HAIR, like a long eyelash…. So now I feel sick . When standards are so low, god knows what their hygiene rating is, how food is kept, freshness of ingredients !? I will never eat there again in my life . You get what you pay for . Pivaz is currently running an offer , so it’s only a tiny bit more expensive, and they include a lovely side of rice . I doubt the owners read tripadvisor as they haven’t replied to any other reviews , but if you do … FFS … provide a service for the price , or don’t run it all

Waited over an hour for 2 cold kebabs and stone cold chips. Not impressed can tell food has been sitting on the side before our for delivery worst take away in a long while

food arrived initially on time but order was short a portion of chips and a can of drink got missing chips and drink about half an hour later food was generally good quality but the missing can of drink and chips was luke warm when arrived as both had been put in same bag so the chips had become colder and the drink had warmed up. Poppys are normally better than this

Oh my days, I honestly thought my food was a joke once received so I called the restaurant asking where is the rest of my food and they confirmed that is the correct size, they also missed actual items too, second time ordering and definitely the last time, how are they still running as a restaurant/ fast food take away I have no idea!!!

Cold, unappetising: greasy: food with forgotten items. We honestly just took the hit of £33 and threw it in the bin and got a Mac Donald s instead: simply dreadful

Food turned up freezing cold after waiting 1 hour and 15mins was all greasy and and soggy from obviously been sitting around to get delivered took 20 mins to get threw to the restaurant and said sorry were busy and only offered a item off wen i next order which i said no want a refund and was denied so they said they will send it back out but i didnt want ti wait another hour to eat disappointed to say the least would still like my money back

We have ordered from here before and the food has always been good. We decided to order something different, the Poppy's kebab, the chicken shish and the kebab was burnt. It wasn't edible and it costs £16 for that item. Very disappointed.

For a food delivery on a Friday night was bang on time. Kebabs are always yum. The only thing I can complain about is the polystyrene containers. The condensation makes onion rings and fries a bit soggy

Ordered via Just Eat, initially said delivery 35-50 minutes but as soon as order was accepted changed to 90. It arrived later, was cold, greasy and cost way too much. Do not believe the reviews on Just Eat for this place, note that all the 6star ones have no comment - avoid this place
