Poppyfield Farm in Northampton

Carvery , meat portion , very thin slice. Cauliflower cheese was just mush. Only other vegetable were dry carrots. Asked for fresh green beans. Roast potatoes, not proper Roasted, soft and dripping in grease. Had to wait for gravy to be brought out. Worst carvery I've had. Pudding. Cakes slices were lovely. Nice big slice, choc fudge cake . Staff were lovely and friendly.

Met friends here for a cheeky midweek carvery and the food did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were offered dessert but had to opt for a cake away as we were too full!!! We had a lovely time, and will be returning, thank you.

On arrival l noticed how clean restaurant was and staff smiley and welcoming,a lovely lady called Kath was so helpful went and got me a glass of water and couldn’t do enough for us,she checked out meals were ok and kept making sure we were having a nice time.l had the chicken and bacon salad it was amazing and so big,will definitely be back,highly recommend the carvery look so good might have that next time.

Got a voucher for any classic meal for £6, ordered at bar but staff would not accept QR screenshot and code, says we needed to bring in the 3 page email! Saw manager who reluctantly refunded. Without the hassle, the meal looked large and inviting, but hunters chicken was not as menu '2 Chicken breasts' turned out to be 2 small offcuts about the size of a matchbox, didnt find the bacon till last as it was underneath the chicken and BBQ sauce-Had to scrape the bacon of as it was burnt onto the dish. The corn on cob was cold. Wife had roaster veg. pie, which was nice, except the pie was overcooked and pastry solid as a rock. Think this is because they cook early and sit in an oven till ordered!Told the server the corn was cold and she said' oh it should be warm!' Might try again?

Really nice meal, staff very helpful and pleasant especially Cath. Food arrived promptly and all enjoyed it, great evening.

You had a lovely carvery for our Sunday lunch and we were served by a really nice lady called Katy. She told us of the new cake, lemon and blueberry, so we tried it and it was delicious.

first thing first undercooked food i had the farmhouse burger the burger patties had a rubbery texture and the bacon was really hard to chew the 2 carvery we had the parsnips were undercooked the sprouts were steamed to death yorkie puds so hard you could not cut them the bread rolls on the burger and fish finger bap were dry but the barberque sauce on the burger soften it enough to eat it the lack of puddings was a big disapointment no apple pie or any crumbles available no alternative milks available for teas on the whole very very average service was slow and the food suffered as a result of that

Me and my family went to Poppy field this afternoon to meet up with some family, we all had a lovely meal - 3 of us had the carvery and my little boy had a kids meal. we was all impressed with the quality of the meat and choice of vegetables etc on the carvery. Really good value and was impressed with the staff who were constantly coming round tidying up the tables and collecting plates etc. we will be visiting again and recommending to friends :)

Turned up on a Sunday lunchtime without a booking but they found us a table, two meat eaters and two vegetarians and a child. Excellent food and service. Great value. Would recommend

First visit to Poppyfield Farm, Sean explained the way to order and different carvery plate sizes. Food and prices were very good . Will come back again .

It’s normally great, but on this visit my wife and I were half way through our dinner and told to move tables as they had a group of 12 coming in The tables weren’t reserved or anything. We had to pick up our plates and walk across the room to find another table

Been several times having a buffet breakfast, all as much as u can eat, unlimited tea/coffee Lovely service from all the staff and atmosphere here, definitely come here again

Popped in for a quick lunch prior to travelling to France, service was welcoming, polite and efficient. I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious, mother had the smaller portion fish and chips also delicious. We both had the fruit crumble for dessert, again delicious. Would highly recommend dining here if you are in the area.

Good buffet breakfast, they even arranged (Trisha) for extra veggie sausages to be cooked just for us. Good selection & very friendly staff.

I went to poppy field for a meal with my husband and had a lovely meal and I would also like to say the customer service we received from Kath was fantastic will definitely be returning 🥰

Amazing service all staff were very attentive the star was Kath a true credit to them, always making sure we were happy with our meals ,service. Christmas dinner was cooked perfect , the Chef and kitchen staff cooked everything perfectly.

Lovely staff and really nice food .... been here a few times and have no complaints. Gets busy on a weekend which is a good thing. Will be coming back here quite regular in the future
