Food is always very good as is the service, can get very busy though so definitely worth picking the right time to visit.

Hubby and I popped in for coffee & toasted teacakes at the end of a day out. Welcoming staff, good service, not rushed toward their closing time, everything was relaxing.

Visited for breakfast. Great British traditional town centre cafe with table service. Very friendly and welcoming staff quick and effcient. Sausage and egg sandwich, two slices toast, butter, marmalade, and a great latte for around £8.5. Highly recommended

A proper greasy spoon without the greasy tables. I come in here a few times a week and the staff now know my order :) always friendly, always kind and fry up is spot on. Wouldn't go elsewhere.

Lovely little find, for something quick and tasty, staff so friendly and welcoming. Reasonable prices as well.

It's exactly what I expected so wasn't disappointed, it's cheap ingredients and cheap tasting, with the sausage taking top spot for worst impressions followed by the extremely small and over cooked egg, bacon was just edible beans were cold the hash browns Burnt on the outside under cooked in side and the rubbish sliced bread for cold toast. Even the bottled water tasted horrible.

Very friendly people and good prices

This is our second visit to Poppins. I have to say that the food is always hot, cooked well, and served quickly. However, we always feel we are rushed in here. You don't even get a chance to look at the menu before the waitress is there. They continue to hoover around, and the plate it taken the minute you have finished. Even before you have got your coat on the waitress is by your table, ready to clean it. Find this quite intimidating 😳. Other than that, the place is super clean. Wide choice on the menu, outdoor seating area.

An energetic, efficient independent cafe with lovely attentive Turkish staff and good breakfasts. We wish them the best of success, being one of very few cafes open and welcoming between Christmas and New Year - in the bleak mid-Ashford.

I like Poppins but I don't love it . Clearly very popular though as its always busy. The staff are always friendly and ready to help. Seating is also available outside.

Best place for breakfast in town. The staff are always so welcoming and are ready to serve you as soon as your bum hits the chair. The tea here tastes excellent and I am a big fan of their sausages. They are normal unlike some of the herby ones you get in other places. The food is always piping hot too so you know its fresh. Highly recommend!

Never been in such a rude cafe in my life hope the franchise is feeling the pinch now when myself and my partner spent around £80 a week there I would never go in there again so rude and disrespectful speaking in there own language and half of the staff can't even understand English

As a regular user of this coffee shop I'm disappointed that they have felt the need to put their prices up £1.70 for a cup of tea! Just had two teas in Headcorn for £1.70 !!! Would also benefit from staff who spoke English and didn't take your cups away when your still drinking.

The Menu offers cafe style food which will not break the bank. It is cooked to order, served hot & tastes good. The waiter was really friendly & made us feel welcome, The service was prompt - not left waiting. Do not be put of with the no frills appearance.

Never been here before as we live just over the road to town. However we decided to have breakfast there. Well what have I been missing? Food is pretty much one of the best fry ups I've had, lovely hot buttered toast (no mean feat, this can ruin a meal imo). Waiters were patient and friendly as we had a couple of very young humans with us. I'm definitely going g again.
