Poppadoms Pickles in Bristol, City of

My wife and I highly recommend Poppadoms Pickles. The staff are friendly and courteous. The food is very delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Saag. Both sit in and takeaway are available. This review was made a few months ago, but now the place seems to be closed, except to provide teas and coffees during the M32 markets, which is very odd and disappointing. 30/03/24

Closed. ALWAYS closed. I walk past them most days and I don't think I've seen them open in 2024. Don't believe me? Call them....

Previously Desi Eats, reopened recently with new name and management. I live round the corner and I’ve eaten here four times since it reopened. Other than Msala Library I wouldn’t bother with curry from anywhere else in Bristol - karahi and chana masala tonight was 👌

Absolute hidden gem, Bristol curries are usually not very good and this place stands out. It’s hidden away next to the M32 and other places here have closed down quickly - don’t let that happen to this one, it’s genuinely delicious.

I'm so glad these guys reopened. The new management has done so well, food was delicious and reasonably priced large portions. Really tasty lamb karahi with a lovely gravy, all the veggie curries were lovely too. Really impressed, will be back

Deliveroo order. Was the worst chicken bhuna and sagaloo ever had. It was swimming in OIL hardly any solid depth to it. Was so looking forward to trying a take away from here but sadly you didn’t deliver to my expectations. Try to limit the oil in your dishes.

Walked across town for this one as part of our weekly brunch series. Delicious Indian breakfast, far superior to chaiiwala down the road. Had daal and chana masala, some extra chillis were offered in the omlette which I happily accepted, and the Indian tea was delicious: sweet but not too sweet! Would recommend heartily!

Friendly cafe in the shadow of the M32. Tasty curries and kebabs as well as full English breakfast etc. Good value.

Naan and curries are good. Samosas are frozen ones out of a packet.

Very disappointed with the food, it was bland and going off! Ordered a meat biryani!

Seemed excellent. Lovely people that served me and Alhamdulillah, my first question was, "do you serve bacon". The answer was no, so I ordered a (halal) meat breakky. Came with cube chips (I forget the name - wedges?) but I asked st the end if they didn't do mushrooms. Turned out they do and I just needed to go for a large. Cheap prices, the tea wasn't sour and tasting like it'd been rewarmed and the cake was amazing. I ordered an extra 2 slices to see if I can get em home to sunny Yorkshire for the missus. But I doubt they'll make it that far so I'll just have to explain em to her InshaAllah... Oh, the toilets were indeed amazingly clean as was everything else! Places that allow handwashing facilities always deserve an extra star regardless. Lastly, they weren't critical of the competition and instead expained their (the competitions) sour tea nicely...

Had ordered the chicken tikka box. More than half the chicken was raw and and it hardly had any flavour. Wouldn’t order again.

Breakfast was amazing well worth it

Really enjoyed the food , great flavour. nicely presented. Naga kebab was very hot just as I like it flatbread was fresh and light. Would be happy to order again.

Popped in for lunch today. Ordered chicken tikka wrap; was really nice, not too spicy. Staff were friendly and helpful...oh and by the way the toilet was sparkling clean (always a good sign). Highly recommend trying this place out.

Had the tikka box meal with rice chips and naan (naan possibly the best I’ve ever had! Sooo fresh!) their food is delicious portion sizes more then enough! Their customer service is excellent and fast delivery! Definitely recommend! Sasha Taylor

Great concept here at desi eats, loved the food and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Plenty to choose from, I’ll definitely be returning to try more from their menu but the cheesy burger meal I had was 10/10!

Had the mix donner box with my friend, we both enjoyed it. Great tasting food with friendly customer service. Love the food packaging, very smart cardboard boxes, environmentally friendly. Will be going back again my family to enjoy another tasty meal.

Good English breakfast. Good sized meal, friendly and happy waitress. Enjoyed the onions with mushrooms. Well cooked eggs. Solid stop would recommend and return.

Had a lovely meal twice here on opening day ! So good had to go back again in the evening. Was served by a lovely gentleman called ismail Rouf - his service was the big standout for me. Will be back soon !
