I was going to sit down at a table and I saw a mice run across the floor towards the kitchen I was shook I couldn’t believe it because I’ve been coming here for quite a while the food is great but after this I don’t think I’ll be coming back here again

Herzlichen Dank für dieses sehr leckere, reichhaltige und auch günstige Frühstück: Das Café lag direkt an unserem „Hotel“, ansonsten hätten wir den Weg dorthin nicht gemacht. Vor Ort war klar: Bei so vielen Briten, überwiegend Handwerkern, gibts „richtig was auf die Gabel“. Gegessen, nein: geschmaust, haben wir um 10 Uhr. Und das wird bis zum Abendessen reichen! Netter Service, starker Kaffee.

Amazing. Second visit - great breakfast, super choice and fab customer service. Can’t beat it in the whole of London I reckon.

It was so good we went back for breakfast the next day too. The place is spotless. Food cooked to order and plenty of it. Everything is tasty any good quality. You can’t go wrong.

Not been here for two years after moving out of london and took three other friends for breakfast yesterday morning. Gone down hill using cheap ingredients like sausages you wouldn’t even give to a dog. Shame as was a great place.

We went back to this cafe which had become one of our favourites. Not any longer! It was quite busy but mainly with diners who had finished. We were greeted and then completely ignored after we'd sat down. We only got a menu after asking a few times and then we were ignored again. Our order wasn't, even after we asked them to do so. After at least 15 minutes waiting we left. If the problem was that they were really busy and couldn't serve us, all they needed to do was tell us. But pretending they were going to help and then ignoring us was very disappointing service.

I ordered a set meal, I asked them to remove 3 items (over £5) and replace with 1 item that costs no where near the £5. They removed the 3 items without adding the extra that I asked for. How can you read the first half of the sentence and not the other. The food was horrible.

We discovered the Poplar Cafe in between lockdown but haven't been back since the end of 2020. On our return visit this weekend we found it as good as we remembered! The place is comfortable and really clean, the staff are very friendly, the food is good and the portions are generous. This remains our favourite cafe during our cycle rides around London!

Very poor management and customer service. My food looked horrible and when I called the cafe to tell them What I received I been told to call the driver because it’s not their fault. Are you serious???? I don’t know how those places are that high rated. The poorest thing ever!!!

Great options (and a lot too) (they also offer Halal options which is AMAZING, thank you!!) So my Partner is allergic to eggs, so I kindly asked if they could substitute the 2 eggs for something else and they gave 2 fat burgers instead of 1 and an extra hash brown and a whole load of fat chips. Honestly ordering over Ubereats can be hard a lot of the times, because you will always have the thought of, have they read my message? Will they follow the instructions?? Will they get angry for asking too much??? Well Poplar Cafe didn’t and that made my day. I have had soooo many bad experiences ordering online with several different restaurants in several different area but I’m honestly glad they were kind enough to understand and exceed our expectations, and to top it all off, the food tastes great!!! Also I literally just ordered today, about half an hour ago and it arrived with in 15 minutes!!!

Ordered on ubereats. Told latest delivery 9.05 i had internet issues. My office is in an underground carpark. I was at delivery spot at 9.03. Poplar cafe cancelled my order and kept my money. I also had tipped the driver £2. I have spent hundreds of pounds in this grease pit since lock down. Don not order from here. Order from somewhere that appreciates their customers.

We were cycling in the rain hoping to find a cafe for breakfast. When we found the Poplar Cafe open on a Sunday morning we couldn't believe our luck! The staff were really nice and very well-organised, Set Breakfast 3 was generous and our coffees were just what we wanted. Also everything was very clean - particularly welcome in this post-lockdown phase. There were plenty of customers and we'd definitely go back again if we're nearby .

In 2 MASSIVE rolls I got 1 and a half sausages for a sausages roll or 2 slices of bacon with a bacon roll... might aswell have had the roll on its own

It is an ok place to have breakfast. Prices are honest, straightforward English menu and quick service. Coffee is not subpar, only concentrated orange juice on offer and mixed quality of ingredients. Ok overall I guess but can do so much better as the basics is there.

I am very very disappointed to have to say this, I am a white female who attended this cafe on Tuesday afternoon with a friend. I do not eat pork and I had asked more then once to make sure I chose two halal meals. I am pleased to say we both received turkey bacon however I am not happy about being given pork sausage. I asked half way through the meal to confirm that it was indeed beef sausage, however I do not eat pork and can smell and taste it from a mile away. We didn’t finish our meals, we were not asked if everything was okay. Our plates were taken away half full, and of course I paid the Bill. My friend suggested that I do not pay as we felt disrespected and above all we were still hungry ! I will not be coming here again!!!?!?! If you have any allergies or dietary requirements I would suggest that you give this place a miss!!!

The food is always lovely every time I come here, the fry ups are to die for and it’s very good value for money. The portion sizes are very good and the staff are nice :)

Was staying nearby at Canary wharf and although not tight, I did feel that £25 per person for a buffet breakfast was a bit steep . So Google came to the rescue and I walked down to this place . I order two very nice soft white baguettes for breakfast which were packed with food. Staff were friendly and I was served quickly . They only take cash! But this was not a problem as the Tesco across the road had a cash point. They were also open on a Sunday which was perfect for us . Good value and worth a visit if you are passing

Yupp, adivinaste, es un extra incluso en la salsa. diga un pastel que es un extra, así que usted no factura lo que pensaba que SIEMPRE será más, debería llamarse el café extra! ¡Sin servicio extra!

Es una cafetería muy concurrida, así que la comida debe ser bastante buena. Debería ser, ya que un desayuno te costará lo suficientemente cerca de un tenner. Desafortunadamente, esperé 40 minutos para mi comida y nunca apareció. A qué hora, el resto de la fiesta (que había ordenado después de mí) había terminado la comida.No usan los números de la mesa y una vez que pides tu comida, podría terminar con cualquiera. Parece un libre para todos.

Nice place to grab a bite to eat staff are friendly and the place is always clean gets very busy at peak times but well worth the wait A1 👍

Went to this Cafe every morning for 3 days as we were staying locally for a London Trip. Cannot fault it at all. Great food and service !!!.

Love going in there, plenty of choice what to eat from English breakfast to dinner. Always bring family or mates over there. Reasonable price. Can get packed as need know best day n time to go. Can’t fault it

Desayunamos allí una mañana (aunque estoy bastante seguro de que el resto de la clientela era en su (temprano) lunchbreak). El lugar estaba lleno de trabajadores de la construcción para conseguir su dosis diaria de no muy sana, pero muy muy buena comida británica básico. Las opciones son limitadas (bacon básico, huevos, tostadas, alubias, setas, patatas fritas, etc. Las raciones son) y mucho.

I have visited this cafe on numerous occasions and each time the food and service have been fantastic,from the burgers to the Sunday roast it is well worth a visit .

Seriously dont bother looking for a better fry up. Everything is always freshly done, chips fried there & then, nothing left sitting around to get soggy. Just wish they stayed open longer on Saturdays... I’ve missed out a few times by going at like 2.30

A regular place for breakfast and the occasional lunch. An awesome array of traditional fry ups and so many other dishes. Portions are generous and service quick and friendly. Some great coffee served too.

If you're looking for a real, no frills, massive fry up then this is the spot for you!!! Masses of chips, black pudding, beans and they even do bubble and squeak!

Having read reviews on trip advisor,gave this a look when in the locale. Give this place a try,its awesome,good simple fresh food,at prices that put a smile on your face. Its busy,loads of workmen use it,that speaks volumes.

This cafe is just round the corner from work and whatever I have chosen is always hot, tasty and plentiful. It's busy but you don't wait long! Most meals around the £5-6 range so very good value. Friday is definitely worth a visit for the fresh fish straight from Billingsgate Market

Have used this cafe on many Saturdays prior to going to work @ the Wharf and is always busy The food is fresh and cooked to order - staff are as well

This is one of the best cafe's near canary wharf. The food is always very tasty and the cafe is very clean. Cheese and mushroom omelette is the best I've eaten.

I go here every Saturday after work, the food is always cooked fresh. There is so many choices from a good fry up to a hearty roast dinner. I have seen the delivery of all the fresh produce coming into the cafe and it always looks excellent. The food is great staff are really friendly and prices are good. Love this place.

Decided to go for a breakfast here, rather than have a breakfast at our hotel. All i can say the establishment was the cleanest greasy spoon i have seen, and the breakfast was filling and cooked really well. Staff were very pleasantTea was the best also.. just thought i'd add that!

Kebab definitely wasn't bad! Though unfortunately driver was 15 minutes late with delivery, and they don't serve wraps with kebabs - even though Just Eat gives that option. I got a phone call from them about that, but it was more informing than apologising (and I was specifically told "we don't do that" instead of "we're out of wraps" - I'd definitely recommend somebody looks into Just Eat offer!).

The Omelette, Chips & Salad was quality. Very tasty. Food is always good at Poplar Cafe. Nice friendly service too

The food is ok but the meats could be improved. The sausage is more like a hot dog, and the beans could also be better quality. They charge about £7 for their largest english breakfast. For another £3 you can get it from the Breakfast Cub in cross rail place for much a better quality and atmosphere. And be prepared for your clothes to be impregnated with the smell of fry-up because they don't appear to have a good exhaust hood. Also, they only do instant coffee. Neither filter coffee nor espresso coffees are available.

A greasy spoon with a bit of east end atmosphere. a family run cafe serving up cheap and plentiful portions of the usual all day English breakfasts, burgers, chips, sandwiches etc. It's certainly not haute cuisine but neither is it pretending to be anything that it's not. I also wouldn't recommend coffee, unless of course you like the sweet instant stuff but a good old cup of tea and a plateful of junk is just what the doctor orders sometimes.

We go to this cafe every month. Best cafe near canary wharf. Cheese and mushroom omelette was very good. Friendly service. Price could be a little cheaper, but not overpriced

Usually nice food but this time it was obvious the food had been sitting for a long long time in the delivery bag. The chip were so bad that they fell out of the container in a congealed sticky block. The chicken shish was dry and had no flavour. The burger bun had absorbed all the water from the salad that it was wet and slimy. There was a strong taste and smell of curry even though I did not order any curry and the wrapping paper was stained yellow with turmeric. Disappointed, Won't be using them again.

Took nearly two hours and was cold and soggy when it arrived. Only plus was the delivery man (when he eventually arrived) was friendly - unlike the people I spoke to on the phone about the order. Will never order from here again.

Food was still pretty warm considering it was about 10 mins late. Was abit worried after reading the reviews but the food was tasty and fresh. Massive portion! Couldn't eat it all. Great food and service and polite delivery man. I'll definitely order from here again. Only downfall was that I tried to call to change my order but the phone just rang out and no one answered other than that I'm pleased with service and food :)

Was not terrible however I don't think I will order again. Out of chicken donner but guy on the phone said he will change for shish which is fair enough. Chicken didn't come with salad only cucumber and onion and loads of chillis. Quarter pounder did not state on menu it had cheese on it but it arrived with cheese so was unable to eat. Took over an hour to be delivered. Positive part was driver was friendly.

Reasonably quick service and food was ok. However, they completely ignored my very clear and understandable comment sent with the order.

Over 45 mins late. they said I'd put my number down incorrectly on the order so the driver couldn't contact me. On checking my order the mobile number was correct. On calling back again was blamed for the order being late saying my number was wrong and when he read it back it differed twice. Clearly they wrote it down wrong. Have been given a very small discount and now left with luke warm soggy greasy food. Definitely wouldn't recommend!!!

Very pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food, especially the pizza. Can I suggest to the pizza crew to really make the Pranzo really really hot :-)

Even though the portion sizes were huge, the quality of food and service was very poor. Delivery was late 30 mins, we got a completely different pizza from what we ordered and finally all food was not very tasty and cold. The experience was quite bad, wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I ordered and the delivery service is awful. Food came 1hour and 30mins late.

Ordered a large mixed kebab and there was enough there to feed me, my girlfriend and our son. Food was cooked well very tasty and we loved the fact they sent it a separated rather than one big kebab without us asking.

After waiting an hour and 40 mins for 2 pizzas.then having to reconfirm address by phone several times even though 5 min drive away.pizzas arrived and went in bin.my vegetarian just had cheese everything else seemed to have been forgotton .pizza was burnt and inedible. Wont use again.

I'm 1 mile away, took 75 minutes to arrive, watercress completely shriveled, pizza cold, tasteless. Pretty bad.
