Food was prompt and delicious. We had snack of a dim sum sampler for mid day snacks. Seating was comfortable and the young fellow that served us was patient, helpful and friendly. 2:45 pm 16-10-2024

This shop has absolutely nothing to do with “gourmet”. The food didn't look appealing or fresh at all. The atmosphere is uncomfortable and loud. The service not friendly. We ordered for two. My daughter was almost finished with her menu when I got my chicken curry. Shortly before serving I was asked if I would like rice with it, as it was not included with the dish. Complete lack of understanding on my part with such a dish. Besides, you could have pointed this out when ordering. The rice then cost just under £4 to go with the chicken curry for £12.80. The drinks came in cans and the food on plastic plates. The disaster was the “service fee” of 15%. In total we paid £40 for two almost inedible meals and two cans of coke. Very bad...

Very expensive and they were wrong about everything. I do not recommend. 0 quality in food.

We went there as a family to have a meal, The waiter who took the order was not friendly or welcoming. We ordered egg fried rice and szechuan chilli steak, the place looked unhygienic, the food was terrible and over priced. Not sure what they put in the food but the whole family had diarrhoea and was vomiting all night. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at any cost.

Reference site on our trip to London. We had dinner three days because the attention and food were extraordinary. The dumplings with soup and the house rice “too much”.

Very nice, we went to London for a week and we have eaten here 3 times. Delicious food, especially the dumplings in soup. The waiters were very patient (we didn't know what we were ordering most of the time) and very friendly. I would return, without a doubt.

I just sit and I mentioned I have an allergic reaction the waiter was so rude they said we dont take risk and left us without respect because we are muslim. I told him you have the sign for it he said to let the customer know!!

Food taste is bad. Regret my choice

Service was poor,man while we were asking questions kept talking to others instead of sorting us properly, food full of fat. Taste oily. Overcharged for items i never had. Then charged gratiuity. I tip anyone but put on your bill is shocking and especially when service was so bad.

The restaurants in the neighborhood are quite similar, we decided to enter this one a bit at random; Being Chinese, I rarely go to Chinese restaurants but we had to since we were passing through the neighborhood haha. Plus, even though I'm used to it, it was cool for my friends who accompanied me. We totally validate the dishes we ordered: Fried noodles, fried rice, sweet & sour duck and small XiaoLongbao (specialties from ShangHai, I don't eat that often and it was very good, juicy as it was). must!) The staff was pleasant. Be careful if you are tourists, there is a small tax at the end which corresponds somewhat to their "obligatory" tipping system, which we can forget as French people.

I had bad experience here. The waiter was in rush all the time and when he brought the dumplings he just threw them on the table and left. I just want to enjoy with my meal before my work and it’s just happened this. I'm so disappointed.

Fancied something a bit different and my wife has to rest a very specific diet right now. We had Crispy duck, rice and a few other things with a couple of beers and wines. Food was excellent, service good and an excellent price for this quality in central London. We will be back.

The food was up to standard, we ordered fried beef noodles which were dry and the beef lacked moisture. The Sichuan duck was sweet with few red chilies to make it hot but did not taste like Sichuan to me.

I ordered sichuan chicken..what I got was some rubbery chicken in sweet and sour sauce with maybe two slices of chili on top. That's as far away from sichuan cuisine as it gets. And disregarding this, the food itself was also super bad. They use old frying oil to prepare some of the dishes, which you can immediately tell. Overall this was the worst food experience I had in a while. Absolutely do NOT go there.

Nice staff. Food was actually amazing. Ordered beef pulled noodle soup (#87 and #88). 10/10. Broth was insane. Tender ahh beef. Very authentic noodles. Highly recommend 💘 Oh also the pork and chinese leaf dumplings in soup were really good! Also the waiter was so kind and attentive. He made us feel really welcome, what a nice man! And the woman at the register was just as sweet. Also nice decor and music…amazing Monday midday vibes!

Food here was fantastic. Shared the quarter shredded crispy duck with my Wife to start (she had never had it before!) and it was the best I've ever had. Not completely dry like some places, and was shredded/pulled just before serving. The Ho Fun with stewed beef brisket was amazing, plenty of meat and my only complaint would be that there was too much of the noodles. Really wanted to finish it but was full to the brim! My Wife had sweet and sour chicken, I'm not normally a fan but this too was delicious. Can't fault this place in anyway and would recommend to anyone.

It’s fine but feel they change the ownership, not the same traditional taste anymore. The food portion is good. While Instead of the old menu, the new becomes too big, which makes it lose its uniqueness. Staff don’t understand much English. I repeat want take away box and they answer me take?

Went for dinner with my daughter and made the first mistake by ordering 2 mains which was way too much food , the waiter could have informed us that portions are big enough for 2. The rice was way over priced , service debatable and my 2nd mistake was not to xhk the hefty bill at the end , and I see now from these reviews that they add on a massive service charge you'd expect to pay in an exclusive restaurant. Instead you get yawning waiters who can't be arsed. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone .

Just a warning that they price gouge on Christmas/holidays and make portions smaller. A sign on their door said 20% surcharge which we were fine with, but the waiter admitted prices were also doubled after another table asked for a vegetarian menu. On top of the already 20% tip, the waiter tipped himself another 15pounds which we did not catch before we left. We were fine with paying a bit more but were not prepared for the small portions and secret markups/additional self tipping.

Good Chinese food especially the chilli dumplings and duck as highlights . Good mapotofu, soup wontons, veges and not oily at all. Service a bit cold but quick enough

Leider habe ich die Rezension nicht vorher lesen können. Absoluter Reinfall. Kellner braucht ewig bis er kommt. Ambiente und auch Essen schrecklich. Plastikteller. Getränke aus Dose ohne Glas. Waren zu zweit und haben 50 Pfund für zwei Gerichte und 2 kleine Dosen Cola gezahlt. Viel zu teuer. Nicht zu empfehlen

The food was brilliant 9/10 for me.I especially enjoyed the fried ho fun as it was a carbon copy to the ones I use to enjoy in Singapore.However the customer service was horrible.We had to wait 20mins plus to get our food.There was obviously lack of servers in the restaurant as it was so hard to get the attention of the staffs in the restaurant.

If you’re looking for totally unattentive services, you’re at the right place. The servers didn’t care about the customers at all. I wondered why this restaurant even survived while there are so many other options nearby. The food worths two star yet the service is zero star. I don’t recommend this restaurant.

Vegetable noodles were £10. We ordered them as a side to the main chicken dish so it wasn't on the menu. Defo not worth the money. Food was average overall. Boring dumplings. Extremely poor service which we got charged for. Would not recommend.

Went inside here on our trip to china town and got served by a couple of clowns Food took ages overpriced noodles were cut The shabby restaurant looked busy but thats because everyone waiting ages for their food to arrive. They put some chilli chicken dish of some sort on my table when I stated I dont eat chilli why would i order a chilli dish then then the 2 waiters hovered over my table to take the dishes away including the rice i ordered. The food took such a long time to arrive and then waiting 20 minutes for my rice, what a shambles its sooooo slow and really ridiculous please do not go and eat in this rut of a restaurant if i saw the reviews beforehand I would have gone somewhere else. Its overpriced and I could not even take a picture as the food looked terrible......i wanted to complain but was told there is NO Manager ...seriously????

Can you rate the attention of the waiters with 0? I found two flies in the food, the first time in a dumpling, the second in the soy sauce.

Meh (room to grow) & Overpriced. The restaurant was clean. The beef fried ho fun noodles (I think that’s what it was) was a really good flavor but barley any beef. The fried rice was way over priced and only had a little bit of egg and green onion in it. The brisket was very fatty even though it was a fatty cut they could’ve done a lot better. They were very busy we had to remind the waiter we were sitting there waiting to order for over 30 minutes. Gave leftovers to a homeless man because hopefully he would appreciate it more than we would. Would be better if they had another server and if the food qualify went up. The server was very nice once he came over to us and he was super busy so I understand why he forgot about us (even though it was to order). And as I said at the beginning the beef fried ho fun was pretty good. There wasn’t any music so it was a bit awkward. It was a bit weird having disposable plastic cups but I wouldn’t take a star away for it. If they brought prices down it has a lot more potential. The food we got was pretty ok, if they get higher quality ingredients I think a lot more people would return.

Is there an option of zero stars. Value for money is unbelievably bad. At least 4 times over normal pricing. Plastic plates. Plastic beer glasses. This is the worst value I have ever experienced. Do not go here!!

The food was absolutely awful. The sweet and sour chicken only tasted of garlic and nothing else. Was like an oddly gelatinous garlic broth with chiken chunks. The rice was super bland and we had to ask 3 times, before they actually remembered and brought it. The whole meal - sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice as a side, special fried rice as a main and a tsing tao came out to over £40, which is just ridiculous, expecially when the Tsing Tao was the best part of it. Do not recommend going here.

Don’t go here. Minimum £15 spend per person. Very rude and unhelpful staff, almost cheating you. We wanted to split the bill, and the staff just keep saying the total pretending she couldn’t understand us. We kept insisting and she begrudgingly split it, but rounded it up instead of charging the actual amount in pence. Don’t go here, there are many other good Chinese places in the street.

Not great experience. Ordered sweet and sour chicken, which came reheated and tasted just of garlic, which there was a huge amount of. Sauce didn't taste like sweet and sour, just like garlic and gelatin broth. Had to ask for rice 3 times. The rice also came reheated and very bland. The only thing special about the special fried rice was the complete lack of flavour despite the variety of ingredients. Best part of the meal was the tsing tao beer. Also very expensive for the quality, 1 sweet and sour chicken, 1 special fried rice and a side of egg fried rice and 1 tsing tao came out to £38.50. Wouldn't recommend, many better places in the area.

Good restaurant with delicious food and friendly staffs.

It costs a lot for what you actually get. It cost an additional £3.80 to get white rice to go with the main. When it came out, it was pretty small and I left still hungry. So, about £17.80 just to leave still hungry. Food was decent tasting.

垃圾，避雷！！带了杯奶茶进去，点了菜都坐下了告诉我不让喝。被分配在一个狭窄的小角落里，明明好多位置直到我走了都空着。给别人上菜的时候不停地把我坐的位置当成临时过渡的桌子用。我还没吃完呢，就直接上手撤盘子了，问都没问（我总共吃饭用时没超过10分钟）。最后还强制收了10%的服务费，典型的故意欺负中国人。

Chicken rubbery, beef had fatty bits in, noodles had a strange taste, pork dish was inedible with a really strange-tasting sauce Price - Over-priced, added service charge as standard Service - Very quick, but assume this is because things were reheated. Here is cheated on the bill! We should have paid £65, the waiter asked us for more money, for the owner and cheated us! Impossible store, rude waiter, bad food and way overpriced!

Not good experience, the staff is not gentle at all, the food is not tasty and price is expensive. If you come to Chinatown, better to choose another restaurant. I understand they are busy and rushing, but we are paying for the service.

Hidden gem. Small but satisfying. They do two of my favourite dishes which is a bonus and the staff are attentive.

In my opinion this is the best Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. I have been to this restaurant many times now and it never fails to disapoint. The food is always top notch and is very reasonably priced. Staff are always very good too.

点了牛肉拉面，刀削面。 味道很失望。 肉，面，汤感觉是三个简单做好然后拼在一起的。感觉一种很工厂的味道，像家里剩饭剩菜拼凑出来的一个面，没有任何用心制作的痕迹。不建议。

Quick visit for lunch. Seated quickly inside, service was good, restaurant was clean and food was delicious. Slightly pricey, nearly £40 for 3 dishes and a coke, but it is London Chinatown so I suppose to be expected and it was yummy- so one to remember 😊

Very cheap, fast. I ate lunch on a table outside. Service was fast, effective but terrible. I ate with three other people, the waiter didn’t bother laying down cutlery, I had to do so myself. The food was mediocre, obviously frozen judging by the size of the menu. It’s a good restaurant if you’re comparing it to fast food chains but overall I wouldn’t recommend eating there considering the fact that there are a lot more better quality restaurants in a radius of 100 meters.

Another company that should actually advertise a last orders time rather than rejecting orders 10minutes before the supposed closing time because they can't be bothered.

Great Manu and cooking we has Wonton soup, chicken cashew and chicken noodles. Each was very tasty and fresh. We really enjoyed and recommending.

Nice location overlooking the river and good for a bit of people watching. Pizza was delicious and the staff were welcoming and service was excellent.

We stopped in for supper on our walk back to our hotel. The food was nice and service friendly. Our waitress made a mistake so my husbands salad main arrived when I had almost finished my pizza and despite saying she would cancel from the bill, they actually didn’t which of course is disappointing. Overall it’s a restaurant geared totally to tourists, but aside from the afore mentioned relaid food, we enjoyed it.

Amazing fast service with reasonable prices.

Everything my family ordered was excellent and the service was fast and polite. The menu has a good selection of Cantonese and Sichuan dishes. This restaurant is small, but less overwhelming than what I'm used to in London's Chinatown.

Frozen (not fresh!) dumplings and frozen everything. The service is fast.

The food is mixed. If you order the noodle dishes you will probably be very satisfied but don’t bother trying to order from the Sichuan menu as it seems unlikely the chefs have any experience in this cuisine. The sea spicy pork lacked any sourness with no pickled chillies or vinegar which would be obvious to anyone who has seen a sichuan recipe book.

We were trying to find somewhere to eat in the area and hadn’t booked. Gourmet Pizza were able to find us a table overlooking the river and under a lovely heater. Food came quick and we were all very pleased with the flavours. Then when the bill came we had even bigger smiles on our faces! What a great price for such quality and in London. Yummy!

The service was amazing!! Can’t believe this restaurant has such low ratings. Food was very good as well, but what stood out the most was how fast the food arrived. Under 7 minutes we received all our appetizers and main courses, we will definitely come back the next time we are in London!

The staff was really nice. The prices were around £10 for a main course. The food tasted really good. But the most surprising part was the speed in which the food was delivered. From the moment we ordered until the food arrived (see pictures, 2 appetizers and 2 main courses) it took only 7 minutes. We ate at Gourmet Kitchen two times during our stay in London and they were equally fast both times. Definitely recommend!

This place is a hidden gem, service is helpful and efficient. Staff are attentive although restaurant starting getting busier she still kept an eye on our table. Surprised to see this restaurant has such a low rating, because our experience felt like home cooked Chinese food. Decided to try out a dish I haven’t had in a Chinese restaurant before and it was a very good choice. The sliced poached fish with chilli oil was by far the stand out dish for me.. The fish broth was smothered in dry chillies and hit the spot with spice level. Best egg fried rice I’ve had in a while.. seasoned and large pieces of eggs mixed in. It’s decently price for £49 for two including a plum juice. A great experience for an after work meal or dining solo.

Probably the most underrated place in Chinatown. You come here for the home-made noodles - they are incredibly good. Especially with beef soop! Is my goto place in Chinatown!

Wir waren zufrieden. Das Essen war lecker und die Preise moderat. Wir fragten nach einer bebilderten Speisekarte, da wir kaum Englisch und gar kein Chinesisch konnten. Die bebilderte Speisekarte war perfekt um was gutes zu bestellen. Leider waren nicht alle Speisen auf der Karte zu finden. Das Essen kam promt nach der Bestellung - jedoch viel zu schnell so unser empfinden. Aber es war lecker und reichhaltig. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The food was good but it left a bit to be desired. The sign outside didn't match the menu inside. The items on the sign which caused us to chose this restaurant, were not on the menu! Items which were cost far more than first listed. The flavours of the noodles and rice were good. The dumplings didn't seem like they had been made fresh. Service was okay, but as I was with a native Chinese speaker I don't know how they are for people not in that situation.

Waiting one hour for my food, my 2 friends got there food first and I got mine when they are already finished.

The hand cut noodle soup was delicious - would definitely recommend going here just for that. Unfortunately a few of the dim sum items were out of stock, but hopefully that's not a regular problem.

They want to attract pedestrians by putting wrong prices on the big sign on the outside of the restaurant. Wanted to get something which costs 7,50£ on the sign. Then you go inside, order it and then it says 9,50£! Another bad thing about this restaurant is that they automatically force you to give 10% tip… (although the service is very bad!) so all in all, you pay 10,50£ for something which should cost 7,50£… Inside it’s not clean. Bad service + food was cold. Can’t recommend!

Very nice place with varieties of Chinese food in the China town. The taste was good, the staff seems okay😐 Neither friendly nor rude. But one thing is that they have 10% service charges mandatory 🙃
